IWeb can't save anymore

Last night, when attempting to publish changes to my website, I got the following error:
the document "iWeb" could not be saved.
My internet connection is fine. I am not out of space on my .Mac space. My .Mac connectivity is fine. My pages in iWeb look fine. I have not had any problems with the computer.
The only thing I can think of that happened is that I upgraded my 2nd harddrive. This should have no effect however because I only used the 2nd harddrive for Final Cut Express. iWeb is installed on the main drive.
Ideas? I haven't tried closing the application becuase I would prefer not to lose the changes I recently made to the site.

Well, I gave up and quit iWeb anyway. I lost all my changes, but everything is working as normal now. Oh well.

IWeb Can't Save Images

I did an erase and install of Leopard in early November. I couldn't save with iWeb after installing. I installed upgrade (10.5.1) and still had the problem. Because of additional problems with internet speeds and always having to reset the cable modem, I reinstalled Tiger. Everything is back to normal but I still can't save when I make changes to iWeb. Specifically:
Drag a photo from media into an iWeb photo page.
Type a caption.
Try to save and an error message comes up. "Couldn't save image." and the jpeg number. When I continue the page appears as it should with the photo and caption. However it won't save with repeated tries.
When I quit iWeb, I have to choose "Don't Save" to get it to close but it has saved a place holder for the photo and the caption I've typed.
When I go to the website there is a white-space rectangle where the picture should be with the correct caption.
When I reopen iWeb it looks the same with a white-space rectangle where the photo should be and the correct caption.
I also tried exporting a photo from iPhoto to the desktop and dragging it into iWeb from there but that didn't work either.
Any ideas on what I can try to fix this problem?

Since i upgrade to 10.9, Page v3.0.3 doesn't save anymore...
To be exact, when i save i got a wheel...then i've got to quit..etc...very annoying

Hello from Brazil!
Here goes my problem....I am working on a presentation with Rome. When I get near the 15th screen I can't get it to save my progress. When I select the option to save, the program crashes, then if I try to close its window it keeps me asking if I want to save...no matter how many times I click yes, it just keep "unsaiving"
All the screens have some kind of animation, but the overall archive is really light (arround 11 mb)...I already sent an e-mail but got no answers...will be very glad if someone could help me

When inserting a picture after making your correction, resizing and everything else, select the image/s, edit them using the tiny Project ROME logo, select Advanced from the list and Convert to Bitmap. Your file will be reduced in size.

Can't Save Anymore - Result code -48

Hi,
I'm all of a sudden having trouble saving files in Logic Pro 7.2.3. When I "Save As", I get this error message:
"File with specified name and version number already exist.
Result code = -48"
Apparently the file still saves if it's an .lso file, but if I export a midi file, I get the error message and the midi file saves but won't open. Any idea what could be causing this? It just started happening this past week, and I haven't made any major changes other than updating to OS 10.4.10.

I've gotten that message several times. I just "save as" and add "01 or 02" to the name of the file and it stops the message from re appearing....

You need the Domain.sites2 file that's located in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder in order to be able to manage and publish the site from another computer?
Do you have that file? If you do copy it to the same folder on the other computer and you're ready to go.
If not then you'll have to recreate the site from scratch. Chapter 2.3 on the iWeb FAQ.org site has tips on using some of the existing files, image, audio, video, etc., from the published site in the recreation of the site. 1

HT204379 Why we can't use iPhoto pictures on screen saver anymore?

After years of using our personal pictures from iPhoto for our screen saver, our Mac won't let us choose iPhoto Library as our source for the screen saver anymore. Does anyone know why this happened? When I choose a folder, the iPhoto Library is dim and won't allow it as a selection. Photo Booth is an option, but not iPhoto Library. This has been our screen saver for years. I didn't change it and don't know why the change occurred. And now I can't figure out how to change it back.

That's exactly what you would get. Create a folder with a suitable name: publish to it. Zip it; email it. Tell them to start with the 'index.html' file inside the folder. The rest will follow - they will see it exactly as they would see an online site, links and all.

iCloud does not delete your mail when full, you have some other problem.

The app Goodnotes 3 keeps crashing and I can't save the files anymore

Hi,
I have the app goodnotes 3 but today I changed to another folder inside the app and now it crashes as soon as I open it, so that I am not able to safe my Documents or export them to itunes. I am pretty despreate because there is a pretty important document inside the app that I can't access anymore now. I have tried restarting the app and the ipad but that doesn't seem to change anything.
Would it be possible to make a backup of the ipad and restore it? Or do I loose the documents inside the app ?

When you back up your device using iTunes or iCloud, the application data is saved. You can try the back up and restore to resolve your issue with the app itself crashing on you.

I can't save files anymore after upgrading to iOS8. Do I have too many on my iPad?

I'm a heavy Photoshop Touch user, with the last version of the app and iOS 8 on an iPad Air, and lately I often can't save the files I've been working on: the app suddenly quits as soon as I try to save the often multilayered image, but also lighter photographs. If I restart the app, it doesn't help.
I have a lot of files in my PS Touch library. I don't know how many exactly, or how much the whole library weighs. I have plenty of space available on the iPad (42 GB free) however, so that's not the issue. I've been uploading files to the Creative Cloud lately, and deleting them afterwards from the PS Touch library on the iPad, but there are still hundreds of files in that library which were not uploaded to CC because I didn't yet have access, and which I therefore can't delete yet to make room.
Attempts to automatically sync all files to CC have failed. The app unexpectedly quits.
Uploads to CC of the files is possible in small groups —but extremely tedious, impossible in fact as there are too many files. I can't even scroll down the library very far without provoking a freeze of the app.
Furthermore, it doesn't look like I can extract the files through iTunes. I can't see the library of documents contained in PS Touch on iTunes. I subscribe to the Creative Suite on Creative Cloud, but that's of no help, I imagine. Except that I'd perhaps be able to open all the PSDX files in Photoshop cc if I was able to retrieve them.
Question: Assuming there is a memory problem, is there any way of extracting a large number of PS Touch files from the iPad to make room and clean the app up, so that I can work with it again?
Any other idea so that I don't lose all this work?

There were 1271 files in my PS Touch library. They were most often multilayered. I copied them to iTunes in batches of 20-50, then saved them to my Mac.
I initially tried quitting all other apps to liberate some RAM, but that didn't help. It must be a memory problem within the PS Touch app itself.

After share moved to new Server User can't save .xls file anymore.

we have a strange problem here. Situation:
A fileshare got moved from a very old Server 2000 to our new 2008 R2 Server. Ever since the departments share moved Servers she (and her colleagues) get "unsuspected file lock by user" messages. Even if they unlock it and change something they
can't save it.
There was a file lock from that user even though she wasn't logged in. We removed that.
There were some crude inherited rights from the old share. We purged them and the rights should be ok. (effective file permission says so, too!)
Her tmp files were deleted.
I for example can access the file without problem.
We are currently out of ideas and any help is apreciated.

Using tab groups but Firefox 28.0 crashes and even can not save all tabs in archive recently

Hi. I installed tab groups addon on my firefox 28.0 (firefox portable version) and each group has its tabs. of course. Problem is that Firefox crashes when i work on a group with the tabs and even can not save all tabs in archive as MAFF recently too. When i try to save all tabs in archive as... i choose the name and hit save and wait but after some time this crashes too. Last time i saved all my tabs and groups as MAFF or other file was end of april and since then i can not save them anymore because of the crashing.
I read on the help site to delete Firefox then reinstall ect. to fix problems but I DO NOT want to erase my groups with their tabs as i chose this solution working with group tabs as it would be to hard on my cpu when i use for each group a different browser for example.
Please help me fix this problem with the crashes but without loosing my groups and its tabs as they are all important and do not wish to erase them as i use them all.

I can't save my documents. How do I change my permissions.

Whenever I try to edit or save a new document the message, "The document "XXXX" could not be saved as "XXX.pages". you dont have permission." I have tried to repair permissions through the disk utility, and I have tried Finder-Get Info- changed permission to read and write. Nothing is working. I still cant save.

Thanks for trying so hard. You are a good person. Since iWeb was running, I took photos with my Canon camera of all my web pages (which acts like a backup) and then did a "revert to saved" option. Since then I have had iWeb refuse to save on me again. If I can isolate exactly what series of steps causes this fatal bug, I will report it. In the meantime I will save often! All I can say, is any application which randomly crashes (or refuses to save files) on me more than once an hour is wothless. but I do credit Apple greatly for letting us report bugs on their website. I just wish they would fix the bugs we report.
