IWeb Configuration Server Problem

Hi,
I have recently been using iWeb to publish simple websites without any problem. However, for the last 24hrs I have been getting the following error message whenever I try and publish:
"Couldn’t reach the MobileMe configuration server. Try publishing again later"
I have looked through many forums, which suggest deleting the iWeb cache, but I am using Lion and I can't seem to find this folder. I have also tried the trick of logging into MobileMe with a false username, but this also doesn't work.
I am wondering if it has something to do with somekind of conflict between MobileMe and iCloud but I am really not sure.
Its driving me crazy! Any help would really be appreciated.

It could just be that there is a problem with the MobileMe servers and you'll have to keep trying until Apple resolves the problem.
You do realise that after the end of June MobileMe won't be here any longer?
Perhaps you should take the opportunity now to look for alternative hosting and register a domain name rather than waiting until the last minute when you have to? There are plenty of alternatives available - take a look at GoDaddy and HostExcellence for starters.

This is my first time trying to publish a website through iWeb. I thought it was going to be easy but... surprise! The text connection fails!
I'm trying to do it via ftp. I add ftp address and passwords correctly, but it doesn't help. I don't know the "path", though supposedly this is not really necessary.
I don't know if this has anything to do with is, but I currently live in Spain and I'm trying to publish a website for a friend in Brazil, and his domain is .com.br
I would really appreaciate some help!

I have been uploading to my iWeb 08 site successfully for weeks. I upgraded to OS 10.5 Leopard, and ever since, when I try to update my website, i get the message
"Publish Error - Couldn’t reach the .Mac configuration server. Try publishing again later."
I am fully up to date with all my software, and the problem must be linked to the installation of 10.5, as I literally uploaded 3 days before I installed it, and now when I try, I can't - I must have tried 30 times, on different networks, just in case, and nothing seems to work. I can sync with .Mac, and get my mail, it's just iWeb - any suggestions???

Hi there
Try this - it's not an ideal solution but I have tried literally everything else.
1. Copy the file named Domain from your own user name/Library/Application Support/iWeb - paste it into Macintosh HD/Users/Shared
2. Create a new user account in Accounts. Call it Publishing. Make it an Admin account.
3. Log on as Publishing.
4. Open iWeb once, start a new site, doesn't matter what - then close it - this is just to create the correct folders.
5. Copy and paste Domain file from Users/Shared to your Publishing/Library/Application Support/iWeb - overwrite the Domain file that is in there.
Then open iWeb (still logged in as Publshing) - it should be your existing site from your original username - change something so it needs publishing - then Publish all to .Mac - it should work. Not ideal, but it will allow you to publish.
The problem (I think, but I'm not sure) is that something is clashing in one of your preference files for one of your programs, but there's no way to work out which one... let me know if this is successful, as I would like to know.
This is what i did initially - I actually re-installed Mac OSX Tiger eventually, as I find Leopard too glitchy at the moment, I'll wait till it's had some fixes.

How to fix "server problem" error message when trying to use PhoneGap build service.

I have a site that is now optimized for mobile devices and want to use the PhoneGap Build service in Dreamweaver CS6 to make a native app. Unfortunately, I keep getting the "We seem to be having server problems." error message when I try to create a new project. I did notice that the configuration file was created at the site root. I've seen a few other similar threads on this, but no solution. I've checked on any firewall issues (none) and know that the PhoneGap server is not down. The problem is on my end.

Email Server Problems

I've been using Outlook Express as my preferred Email Portal for 25+ years without any connectivity problems, even when I was using dial-in. I've been with BT as my ISP since returning to the UK in 2001 and over the last 18 moths have been experiencing numerous unfathomable error messages when connecting. "Password not recognised," "Server timed-out due to inactivity," (when first logging in) and being forced to use my sub-accounts to send and receive messages.
This is an annoingly intermittent problem with not set pattern of failures. Numerous calls to the Help Line have been useless, as they have looked around and seen no problems with my Server settings (POP3) A recent call to the Tech Help line (that I reluctantly paid for) saw the lady I spoke to, take control and change my POP3 In-Out settings and all has been fixed (it seems)
I have a new Windows 8.1 PC (still in the annoying set-up process) onto which I have installed MS Office Professional Plus 2010, and the Outlook settings showed as my old POP3 configuration. I changed it to the new ones the Tech Desk set up but I still cannot get on it to send/receive as I get an Error/Warning that says the IMAP Server has disconnected. The Outlook Account Settings do not have IMAP in the Pull-Down menu to choose as an option for connecting.
I used to be up-to-date with IT matters, but now I'm dreadfully confused.

Outlook can be set up as either a POP account or an IMAP account. You can not change a POP account to IMAP account on the fly. Yoy will need to either delete the POP account and start again or setup an IMAP account to run in tandem with the POP one. Once up and running you could then delete the POP account.
You are best to set it up manually by ticking the "manually configure server settings" and enter all the settings rather than using the set up "wizard"
The settings you need to use are:
Your Name
Email address: Full btinternet email address
Account type: IMAP or (POP)
Incoming server: mail.btinternet.com
Outgoing server: mail.btinternet.com
Logon information:
User name: prefix only of email address
Password: Email password
Tick remember password
Do not tick Require password auth (SPA)
Click Button More settings
Tick box my out going server requires authentication
Tick box use same as incoming
Do not tick log onto incoming server
Advanced Button
Incoming server 993 or (POP 995) Tick requires SSL
Outgoing server 465 Use following type encryption SSL

Some folks have discovered that changing their DNS service fixes FaceTime connection issues.
The ideal way is to configure your modem/router with DNS service, but often settings in System Preferences/Network/Advanced/DNS on your Mac will override the router settings. Try either of these;
OpenDNS
208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
Google Public DNS
8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4

I have been trying to install Office 2010 Pro Plus onto a Server 2003 Terminal Services server. We have an OVS license and I have followed all the procedures (and variations) noted in
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff506201.aspx . However, we still get the error message 'Only administrators have permission to add, remove, or configure server software
during a terminal service remote session.' when users logon via an RDP session. If they logon locally, the applications start without problem. I have tried the manual and .msp setup, installed via the 'Add\Remove Programs, install using the command line with
'Change User /install' and then 'Change User /execute'. None of this stops the message and allows the users to use Office via TS.
Is there a step missing from the Technet site that I need to get the users working?

This has not fixed my issue. I still get the message "Only administrators have permission to add, remove, or configure server software during a terminal service remote session". If I add the user into the local admins group. When I login as the
user in question or any user onto the server in question the message above appears.
When I run Lync from the shortcut on the remote drive it works. But when I run it from the desktop and start menu it displays the above error. I spoke to Ctrix who have said that it is a permissions issue. I have checked and all permissions seem to be the
same.

Hello . I have an Solution manager system running on 32 bit kernel on windows 2003 server (32 bit) with 5GB of ram(Control panel->system...)
I have parameter:
PHYS_MEMSIZE 1024
abap/buffersize 450000
em/initial_size_MB is(default) 1024
in Sql Managment studio I have (minimum and maximum server memory under properties of server) set to 1024
Java has 1024
I would like to increase abap/buffersize (have some swaps there) but the system does not start(in J2EE Process table server0 does not start after startin framework fails
I tried also to decrease PHYS_MEMSIZE ,em/initial_size_MB and Heap memory size(XmX) in configtool but in any case the server does not start.
What do you propose to properly configure server

first of all you should make sure that the /3GB option is set in the boot.ini.
The problem is that you only have a 3GB viruall address room on a Windows 32bit system. So if you want to increase a memory area in this address room you must decrease an other one.
In the most cases the default settings for the roll and page shared memories are set up very generously. Please check the maximum used values in ST02 and decrease the size of the both shared memories. After that you can add the memory you got free here to the programm buffer.
For example if you want to set the roll and page shared memoies to 64M you should set the profile parameters:
rdisp/ROLL_SHM = 8192
rdisp/PG_SHM = 8192
The unit is 8KB (8192 * 8KB = 65536K = 64M).

Log-Configuration.xml Problems

Hi, I have been trying to use log-configuration.xml but it seems like i cannot get it to work at all.
From what i understand, once i deploy my application, i should be able to edit the config via the Visual Administrator. However, after i deploy my app, i am still unable to see it with visual administrator. furthermore, i cannot find the file anywhere on the sever. Also, my settings are not reflected in the behaviour of the defaultTrace.
Am i suppose to be able to find the "log-configuration.xml" file in the server if i have done the correct steps? If so, what are the likely mistakes i have made? I am at my wits end, anyone can help me?
Just to add, this post seems to describe exactly my situation except i have no idea how to "manually" correct it... log-configuration.xml outside META-INF due to NWDS

Sorry, i am kinda new to web dynpro and sap in general so i may need you to be more explicit
I am not quite sure what this part means or how to check "...has been deployed successfully in the deploy node of the visual Node and check for the Log Configuratior Node and check for your deployed application...."
What i did do is go to the server to and search the entire directory structure for the log-configuration.xml but could not find it. Also, the config cannot be seen via the log-configurator in visual administration engine which its supposed too i think. and lastly the behavoiur i set in the log-configuration.xml is not reflected in the defaultTrace
Then i saw this post so i went to check the EAR file in my workspace and found that it was just like Manik described.

Weblogic Admin server - Configuration/Server Start/Arguments ignored?

As a test I created a new managed server in the same domain, specifying the same startup properties, and they were picked up during startup.
If I manually place the settings into the bin/setDomainEnv.cmd batch file for the domain they are also picked up and work.
Is there an undocumented restriction on Admin Servers that they ignore the "Server Start / Arguments" setting, or is there something else I can check as to why this is not working?

Photoshop CS2: name server problem: Is there a solution?

Hi!
I have Photoshop CS2. I can't start the program anymore because of the already well known name server problem... (DEAR ADOBE!! HOW COULD YOU!!! )
Now, what can I do? As far as I know I purchased the software for an unlimited amount of time (thanks to the fact that there weren't any clouds, halleluja!)
Can anybody help me, please? Is there a way "around"?

I recently updated Firefox and now it will not open. It says there is a proxy server problem.

Firefox periodically drops my Verizon/Yahoo email site indicating it cannot find the server. Verizon alledges there are no server problems.

My email page will crash and the message received is:Firefox can't find the server at us.mc844.mail.yahoo.com. Repeated reloading does not help. After a period of time from 5 minutes to an hour the site can be accessed and is Ok for several days. The the problem reoccurs several times in the same day. When my email provider is contacted they indicate no server problems.

Report your error messages so your peers, like me, can make suggestions..
Official recommendations are on http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/verizon/mail/ymail/basics/mail-12859445.html NOTE THE URL's Stick with them if using YAHOO. I have not found a newer recommendation for pop.yahoo.verizon.net that you mention, and the help page was updated this month.
Note some have had trouble with missing intermediate certificates so get encryption errors. Shouldn't happen (except if you are missing the root certificate, which is your responsibility), but can be fixed by installing manually.
Some have reported needing to specify [email protected] rather than just userid, I believe on the SMTP side. Normally you specify only userid and password without the @verizon.net.
