IWeb crashes when loading certain templates
Hi - I just got iWeb installed, and the first thing that happens is I launch iWeb and try to load the black template/blog page and iWeb crashes. I tried it several times, and iWeb crashes every time. Then I loaded the white background template and it loads fine. Are some of the templates corrupt? Is anybody else seeing this?
Thanks.

Nevermind. I repaired permissions, ran Cocktail to flush all the caches and whatever else down the toilet, restarted, and now it's working fine.

Firefox crashing when loading certain websites
Hi All,
After updating my firefox to the latest version (3.6.12), the browser frequently crashes on cerain websites. In particular, when i visit www.scottishproperty.co.uk. I think it may be flash related but im not sure.
I have tried the following but it has not solved the issue:
1. Followed the artice on this site for firefox crashing on certain pages
2. Uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it
3. sent error reports to firefox - but when i go to About:crashes no reports are show.
Can anyone please advise?
When i try the same url in IE, it works as normal. If you still have problems with crashes please
# read the article: [[firefox crashes]]
# if you have problems with crashes and are using Fireox's safe mode
#* please navigate to'' about:crashes''
#* post a couple of recent CrashIDs into your next message
Are you restricted to using Firefox in [[safe mode]] in order to prevent crashes? -
Numbers crashes when loading budget template
Numbers crashes every time I try to use the Budget template from the template chooser. I can open other templates just fine.
Any ideas?Try putting links to external scripts, servers, etc... into a server-side include. It works for me.

Crashes when loading certain pages and it also crashed my adobe
I can't get my pages to stay open or keep my computer from locking up. I can no longer use my adobe either to read pdf's on my desktop or ones that I need to download. I have refreshed and reloaded my pages. I have tried to update both firefox and adobe but while they will both download they will not install because of some type of errors -- telling me that they can not be updated.
Hello Xircal, thank you very much for replying.
I have tried to perform a standard diagnostic. Everything seems to run fine in Safe mode. Disabling Hardware accleration makes no difference. I can't check anything else because whenever I try to open Add-on manager, Firefox crashes.
I reinstalled again, just in case, but it's still happening.
Is it significant that the 'Update' buttons of the two outdated plugins won't work when I click on them?
Thanks again! -
I have listed the problems and solutions I have try at here:
http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2472332.aspxDid you try a new profile with all extensions and maybe plugins as well disabled?

Firefox Crashes when loading certain pages
I'm running the latest version of Firefox, with windows 7. I've tried updating all of my plugins and drivers and reinstalling ff.
hello Atomiclemon, the crash report that you've provided shows that the flash plugin is crashing - can you try downgrading to flash 10.3 as it is described in [[Flash 11.3 crashes]] and see if this resolves the issue?
-
Do I need to install an other more update version? I just can't get adobe to install. Also I can't get ANY copier, printer, etc. to work on this system. I don't want to remove Linux or Firefox because they catch all the "junk". Can you help? I'm not the best at this and I will do my best.
I had that problem myself and was forced to download the installer for "other browsers" using Internet Explorer at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ . After I did that it installed correctly. You can also try downloading the FULL installers for flash at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html . Just make sure that all browser windows are closed before you run either of these.

My new iMac with FCPX crashes when rendering complex templates and crashes when exporting with Motion 5
Using Motion 5.0.6 and Final Cut Pro X 10.0.7 on New iMac (December 2012) Mountain Lion,
Intel Core i7 quad-core a 3,4GHz, Turbo Boost fino a 3,9GHz
32GB di SDRAM DDR3 a 1600MHz - 4 x 8GB
Fusion Drive da 3TB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB GDDR5
During the rendering of complex FCPX mac crashes and I have to force a restart.
I also happens when I try to export movies with Motion 5.
Does anyone have the same problem with my new iMac?Problems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
First, empty the Trash.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it, then drag or copy it — do not type — into the Terminal window:
find . $TMPDIR.. \( -flags +sappnd,schg,uappnd,uchg -o ! -user $UID -o ! -perm -600 -o -acl \) 2> /dev/null | wc -l
Press return. The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
The output of this command, on a line directly below what you entered, will be a number such as "35." Please post it in a reply. -
Further GarageBand crashes when loading lessons ...
Hi All,
I've GarageBand installed on a Mac mini server (the new Apple ones). When I try to open any lesson it silently crashes. The
I've seen the other thread with similar title and tried replacing the "Gill Sans.ttf" font with a "Gill Sans.dfont" from another system. Rebooted. Still crashes.
I've fixed permissions. Still crashes.
I tried deleting everything - everything - GarageBand related on disk and reinstalled and updated. Same problem. Crashes when loading lessons.
The console has a whole lot of these:

If that is not the problem, check all your Audio Units, and other plug-ins like VST plug-ins for compatibility, see: GarageBand for Mac (v10.0): Unexpected behavior with Audio Units plug-ins -
Logic crashes when loading preferences
hi!
can anyone please help? for some reason logic has started crashing when loading the preferences. i noticed for some reason it was playing through the built in audio rather than my motu interface, so i tried loading the preferences to change it and it just crashes every time. this has happened since i reinstalled logic studio 8, because it was giving me an error message on startup that caused it to crash. the error message i was getting was saying i have the wrong pro applications support installed (of which i could not alter or upgrade for some reason). so i went for a reinstall.. and now this other problem. any help would be greatly appreciated!
i am running logic studio 8.0.2 on a powermac dual 2ghz G5
with 3gb ram and osx 10.5.3Don't wipe your hard disk! (yet)
It's probably that your preferences have become corrupted. Go to User/Library/Preferences and trash your Logic preferences (com.apple.logic.pro.cs & com.apple.logic.pro.plist).
Reopen Logic and see what happens. The only problem is that you will lose all your keyboard commands etc., but they're a lot easier to recreate than reinstalling and authorising everything onto your hard drive.
Also, make a copy of your preferences once you've set everything up so that if you need to trash your preferences again sometime in the future, you can just replace them with the copies you've made.
I guess if none of this works then you may need reinstall Logic and, at worst everything else. -
iPhoto crashes when loading. I am on 9.1.2 & I think this may have started after the update was applied on the 27/4 and the error message does not mean much to me

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.
