IWeb default title

Can some please tell me how to change the Blog page's default title because everytime I forget people ask me who Ivan is....

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. What theme are you using? What shows at the top of the page is the Text in the top text box of the page. See this test Blog of mine and what's in the top text box is what shows in the browser's frame: Test Blog. Then check the other pages and you'll see what's in the top box is in the browser's frame.
Find that text box and change it or change your name to Ivan.

Hi,
To remove the default title(Forms Runtime) from your form use:
set_window_property(Forms_mdi_window,title,'Your Form Name').
This changes the title of the MDI window from "Oracle Forms Runtime" to "Your Form Name". But We remove the RunTimeIcon also.
Icon is Display at the Left Corner(Start).

Can't "unlink" default titles

I'm having the problem where editing one title results in changes to others.
I added my first title by following steps in http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-premiere-elements-11/adding-titles/: dragging a default title onto my timelien, then editing the text/font/length. I then selected that title and copy/pasted it onto other parts of my timeline. Here's what it looks like:
The problem is that editing one default title seems to result in edits to all of them. More specifically, when I double-click on one of the objects and edit the text, it appears in all the other titles. It's like they're one object. I can't find any way to duplicate the title, a "paste by value" or something like that. Any suggestions?

For the record, is that Premiere Elements 11 Windows that you are using?
Your result is not uncommon to Premiere Elements (any version). For more specific details, I would need confirmation on version.
But the general idea is create your title in the Titler and then duplicate your original title in the Media area (making sure that it has a different name than the original) and then using those files on the Timeline. That will allow you to edit one title without changing all to the same text at the same time.

Default title on each blog entry

When selecting a new blog, each one has its own default title and it also extends to each blog entry created. When it is changed on the first page, why doesnt it do the same on each entry page too? I am tired of changing the title every time I create a new page!!!

You are going to have to add the BC tags to output your meta data on the Blog Post Layout. You can find this layout in BC under Site Manager > Module Templates > Blog Layout > Blog Post Details Layout. If you prefer to edit your layout via FTP you can find that layout in /Layouts/Blog/post.html
In your layout add {tag_blogpostmetadescription} and {tag_blogpostmetatitle} where you need them.. typically it's in the HEAD element:
<title>{tag_blogpostmetatitle}</title>
<meta content="{tag_blogpostmetadescription}" name="description" />
You can use any number of tags available to the blog post layout-- you can see those under "Blogs: post.html" at http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/kb/tags---quick-reference.html#id_32612
While you're editing the blog post detail layout you could also add other metadata like the Facebook Open Graph meta information too, like <meta name="og:title" content="{tag_blogpostmetatitle}" />

Default title page - lost horiz. line

I'm using Robohelp X5.0.2 to generate CHM and DOC files. All
our printed docs use the "default title page" from RH (I know we
could add our own, but we like the simple life.) The other half
dozen projects I've done all have a horizontal line across the
title page under the document title, but the line's missing from my
latest project -- in fact we generate two DOCs from the project,
and neither get the line, just the unadorned title.
If I open another project and generate the DOC, the line's
there just fine. Having one set of DOCs look different is not going
down well.

Ah, just found the solution ... the default.css file had
entries for Title and for TitlePageTitle. Deleting those got my
beautiful line back

I'll try to give this to you gently, your CSS is a complete mess!
Having gotten that off my chest, add the following to your main document and you will have introduced new problems, but at least you will have your scrollbars back again.

What the above does is undo the relative position of the container.
My advice is to get rid of ALL of your absolute and relative positioning and allow the design to follow the normal flow of the document. In your case you have got a very simple layout namely

If you now place the sliding panels into the content section, making sure that there is a top margin to escape the header, all will be well.

IWeb leaves title field blank in podcast rss.xml

For some reason iWeb is not filling in the <title> field of my podcast's RSS feed which means that when I try to submit it to iTunes it is rejected for not having a title.
Is there a way to make iWeb add in the title to the feed after the podcast page has already been created? There are lots of entries already and I really don't want to have to go back and make a new page and re-enter them all from the beginning.
This is being published to .Mac via iWeb and I have my own domain that I've set up and am using.

I created my podcast successfully using iWeb (v. 1.1.2) and the title name was not an issue. When creating your page, i am guessing you used the podcast template??
If so, when inputting your own personal info, did you delete the text in the boxes and replace with yours, or did you delete the actual text boxes and create new ones?? I did find when publishing that if i created a new box, it would not work in the same way as the default boxes did. I think the default boxes are referenced in some way. Perhaps this is the issue??
Alternatively, you can locate the XML/RSS file related to your site (if you published to iWeb using a dotmac account it will be easy to find) and just input the title yourself by inputting *<title>YOUR TITLE</title>* below the <channel> tag.

How to assign default Title in DIS?

When we paste the document in DIS,it takes the document name as a default value for the 'Title'.
But I want to assign it a default value rather than name of the document.

Like with any other document - using Rules and Profiles http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e10978/c04_metadata.htm#DAFIIEEI ; in your case, a global rule could do.
Keep in mind, however, that if Folders are used (or DIS), a folder may contain only documents with distinct names ('Titles').

How to remove the default Title in Message box?

Hi all,
In the message box, there will be a default prefixed title(' Warning: JavaScript Window - ') displayed for all types of messages(Information, Question, Warning and Error). The window title that we specify in the parameter displays after this warning text.
It may mislead the user, on the type of message being shown.
I came to know that only way to eliminate the warning is to certify a PDF, and this requires signing the PDF with digital certificate and then have the recipient verify the certificate.

Hi,
As Rick suggested dont instantiate the business object.
If you want any data's from the business object then create a same container in the Task and directly bind the container's
with the Business object.
For example if you are using the BUS2012 and you need the purchase order number in the decision step,
then create a new container for PO number in the Task.
Then directly bind the BUS2012.PurchaseOrder ---> PO number[Task container].

IWeb default page address is wrong

I have recently updated wy web pages including deleting an old page. Everything has published fine.
When I enter the default address for my site as suggested in the iWeb help, http://web.mac.com/[user name] "...insert your user name where it says 'user name' and don't use the brackets..."
I do this and tell my friends to do the same to keep updated.
The problem is that when I enter this into my browser it tries to go to a page I deleted and another page comes up that says "The Page you requested does not exist" I know that because I deleted it and replaced with an updated page.
What am I missing? I've poured through the help viewer and tried everthing it says to no avail. What can I do to correct the default address?

Your short iWeb URL is http://web.mac.com/username
Usually this URL leads to the default site and homepage that is at the top of the Site Organizer list in iWeb. In other words, you can change which site your short iWeb URL leads to just by dragging sites/pages around so that the one you want is at the top of the list.
Sometimes things get a little wonky with multiple updates and adding and deleting pages. Not your fault. Usually, clearing your browser cache can do the trick (in Safari, look under the Safari menu and select "Emtpy Cache..."). But if this isn't working for you, then it may be necessary to clear out the cobwebs by having iWeb lay down your entire site file by file fresh. You do this by selecting "Publish All to .Mac" under the File menu in iWeb. This usually solves issues like this.
Try it out and see if it works for you. If not, post back and I'm sure that we'll figure something else out. Also, it helps sometimes to post your URL if you are comfortable with that.... you know how a picture can sometimes be worth a thousand words...

Problem with iWeb domain titles

Greetings, I'm hoping someone can help me. I recently replaced my old website with one that I created in iweb. However, as you can see from the screenshot, every page has a redundant and rather unnecessary title tab for the website address. I upload to my host via FTP, and I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That is perfectly normal in iWeb and if you want it to change, don't name your site with your domain name within iWeb.
iWeb produces a sitename and you cannot leave this blank so when you publish to a local folder you get your site folder with the same name and the index.html file.
All you need do is to re-name your site in iWeb and then publish to a local folder and just upload that new site folder with the new name. Remember also that iWeb produces two index files, one that sits inside the site folder itself and then the other one that just points in towards the first page of the site and must sit outside the site folder.
This is totally normal in iWeb and is nothing that you have done - just change your site name to something different and more applicable to your site and then you won't get the double domain name.

IWeb defaults to Entourage for Announcement email

Once my blog is published, iWeb produces the pop up for Announce Email or Visit the site. I don't use Entourage (it is unopened and not set up in my Office 2004 folder), my mail is through Mail. How do I make iWeb find Mail instead of Entourage?

On Adobe Premiere Essentials 13 video editing, if I use Quick is it possible to set a default style for titles and text? I see instructions for setting a default style in Expert, but that doesn't seem to work in Quick. Thanks.

What is this Premiere Elements Essentials 13? I know the program only as Adobe Premiere Elements 13 for Windows or Adobe Premiere Elements 13 for Mac. On what computer operating system is it running and is it a pre-installed program from the computer manufacturer?

In Adobe Premiere Elements 13 Windows (assumed Mac also), there should be no problem in creating a text title in the Quick workspace and saving a particular text style and setting that created text style to the default. Are you OK with doing that in the Expert workspace if not the Quick workspace?

How to Change Default Title and Icon of Forms 5.0 Runtime

Whenever i run Forms 5.0 runtime , it always shows
'Developer 2000 Forms Runtime for Windows 95/ NT'.
If i set a title to the main window then also the above message preceeds my Title of Window.
Is there any way to remove that ????
My Application is ready for delivery but the only problem is this title message. and also,, I want to change my own ICON in place of deafult icon

You can always change you Window title at runtime.
On Windows, You ALWAYS have a container window (There is an option from 5.0 onwards to avoid this container window) and at least one window in you applciation e.g. window0.
Use the following command to change the title of the MDI window:
set_window_property (FORMS_MDI_WINDOW,title,'My Application');
For window0, try this:
set_window_property ('WINDOW0',title,'Registration of Employee');
Please see all the options available in the online help of forms under SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY.

Is there any way to create a default format for my pages? Currently when I create a new page I have to go into inspector and change the width, height, etc. to match my other pages. I don't want to use one of the templates available, I have created my own. Is this possible?

I use the system in French.
When I run my copy of Pages which runs only in English (I removed the other languages resources), the spell checker defaults to French, not to English.
It's the system setting which is used, not the application's language.
Yes when you do it that way. So you are comparing your mixing with Pages with a stand alone application that do something different and you haven't even tried (it seems)?
