Iweb drop down forms

I am new to iweb, but longtime mac user. I have a little trouble having our webmaster update our bakery's site. I was wondering if iweb can fulfill this need for me to update and if a drop down form (which is incredible useful to brides) can be achieved on an iweb made site and is not to difficult for a web rookie like me. Any places to look for something like this form of our current site? http://www.sweetpeacecakes.com/weddingform.html

  • Change font size in drop-down form item

    When I'm in design mode, I assigned the drop-down item a
    style class of 9pt
    font and it looks fine in design mode. When I go to view in
    IE, the font
    looks like a standard 10pt font and doesn't change when I
    change the class.
    So, all of my titles are in 9pt but the form text boxes and
    drop-down boxes
    are all using 10pt font.
    How do you change the font used in form fields?
    Thanks!

    One should not use a print metric on the web. Please use
    pixels, ems, ens,
    exs, percents, or font size names, but definitely not points.

  • Webding font issue in drop down form

    I need a check mark and an "X" in a dropdown list of a form. The only font I found that has them together is Webdings. I works fine in the Actrobat Pro preview. But wehen the file is opened in Reader the symbols are different.

  • Dependant Drop down form validation

    I have a form where after selecting options from 5 dependant drop down boxes, and clicking submit a pdf file is displayed in a new window.  This is working fine, i now just need some code to validate the form before submission rather than going to an error message if they have not selected each of the boxes.
    the page in question is here:
    www.ddvalves.com/documentation3.html
    any suggestions will help, ive been playing about with a few scripts found on the web, but they seem to use the onsubmit function, which i am already using to display the pdf.  If i enter 2 onsubmit functions i get a duplicate function error in my dreamweaver toolbar.
    thanks in advance,
    Paul

    Have you looked at the spry validation that is in DW?  That is what I use.

  • Cond display of drop down based on value selected in another drop down form

    Hi,
    I have a requirement in my app in which I need to be able to conditionally display the values in the drop down down list based on the values selected in another drop down list...
    Currently I have 2 drop downs.
    First drop down is a list of Jacks from 2000 to 4999...
    Second Drop down consists Chassis ranging from 1 to 900..
    So when a user selects any jack between 2000 - 2999, in the second drop down only Chassis ranging from 1 to 300 should appear.
    when anything between 3000 - 3999 is selected, Chassis ranging from 301 to 600 should appear..
    and for jacks between 4000 - 4999, Chassis ranging from 601 to 900 should appear in the second drop down.
    Can someone please provide me pointers on how to do this..
    Thanks,
    Nehal

    Hi Larry,
    Thanks for your response..
    Here are the queries for my select lists.
    P62_JACK
    select list query for Jacks:
    select JACK_NUM display_value, JACK_NUM return_value
    from CTS_LIST_OF_JACKS
    order by 1
    P62_CHASSIS_BLADE_PORT
    select NETWORKPORT display_value, NETWORKPORT return_value
    from CTS_LIST_OF_NETWORKPORTS
    order by NETWORKPORT_ID
    jacks range from 2000 to 4000
    chassis_blade_port ranges from 100 to 900...
    Can you please let me know how to do it..
    Thanks,

  • Can't open drop down form fields on iPad

    I created a form in Adobe Pro, added several dropdowns and they don't work on the iPhone/iPad.  You can see the box with the arrow, but only allows you to type custom text, no dropdown list populates.  Below is a link to screen shot.  Thanks for any help!!!
    https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/2-7157485-724135/IMG_0720.png

    For the particular form in question, it was authored (likely initially via some field recognition algorithm) with several instances of a dropdown and a text field overlayed over one another.  Because the text field is before the dropdown in field/tab order, on tap, it is processed first by the Mobile Reader.  That is why your experience when using the Mobile Reader is that of a text field.
    The Desktop Reader processes fields in reverse field/tab order (z-order), so the experience that user will see is that of a dropdown.
    I can change the Mobile Reader to process fields as the Desktop does, in reverse field/tab order (z-order) so that both products are consistent.  This doesn't help you in the short term, though.  To make your form work in the short term with the existing Mobile Reader, you could remove the overlapping text fields (they are named as 'undefined_n' where n is a number).  On a brief look, these overlapping text fields do not appear to serve a purpose (they do not appear to hold a hidden value or participate in javascript for example); they appear to be the after effect of some kind of (imperfect) automated field recognition algorithm.
    Hope this helps,
    Darrell

  • Form Drop down data

    Hi all,
    wondering if someone has info on adding multiple numbers or words to a form field drop down list without typing all of them one at a time. Preferably is there a way to pull an excell data column into a drop down? I've been researching delimited txt files but the references seem to point to and FDF file format and the context of most posts seem to be how to export the data not retrieve it.
    note: Basically have a product list containing 450 4-digit numbers I'd like team members to be able to select from the drop down form field.
    Thanks

    This can be achieved with a script, like this one, created by me:
    http://try67.blogspot.com/2009/11/acrobat-import-text-file-to-drop-down.html
    It allows you to select a plain-text file (or CSV file) and import the data from it into a drop-down or list box in Acrobat.

  • Populating a Drop down menu JSP form

    How to go about populating a drop-down form from Oracle Database using JSP?
    I have the connecting to the Oracle Database running. I also can query forms, but i can't create a drop-down menu form.

    Start the dropdown box with the regular select tags "<select name=this>"
    Then open a JSP block and get a resutlset, loop through the resultset and and put the values from the resutlset into the <option> tags for the HTML.
    Example
    out.println("<option value=\"" + rs.getString(1) + "\">" + rs.getString(1) + ">");
    Then close the loop and that should populate a dropdown within the html form.

  • Drop down menus and image loading

    Hi there,
    I have an idea on my site to display photos for consumers to purchase. What I have is 2 drop down menus, the first one has a list of the galleries, the second has a list of the photos. When you select a gallery a corresponding list of photos for that gallery appears in the second drop down menu. That part I've got under control. After that, the user is supposed to press a "Check Picture" button and the picture they have selected is supposed to come up in another small window so they can double check that they the photo they want is the one they are ordering. Firstly I wanted the photo to appear in an applet that I had at the top of the screen but that seemed WAY too difficult so I decided on just having it load up in a new window scaled down to just fit the pic.
    The code for the "Check Picture" button is this:
    <input type="button" name="Button1" value="Check Picture" onclick="WinOpen()">
    but I'm having trouble with the WinOpen() function.
    Because of the two drop down menus I've had to put this code in:
    var groups=document.doublecombo.example.options.length
    var group=new Array(groups)
    for (i=0; i<groups; i++)
    group=new Array()
    group[0][0]=new Option("-Select A Picture-")
    group[0][1]=new Option("")
    group[0][2]=new Option("")
    group[1][0]=new Option("Barrel Shed","photos/gallery1/barrelshed.jpg")
    group[1][1]=new Option("Cafe Jojo","photos/gallery1/cafejojo.jpg")
    group[1][2]=new Option("Close Up","../photos/gallery1/closeup.jpg")
    ...that I got from a tutorial (but of course I don't really understand it.)
    Is there a way that in the WinOpen function I can have something like...
    window.open("../photos/gallery1/"PicValue".jpg","DisplayImage","menubar=no");
    and then down with the options part I can include a value that corresponds to each picture.
    ...or am I going in the completely wrong direction and there is a much easier way that somebody knows of.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Peter

    Not too sure as this is a JavaScript question but I'll give it a shot.
    You should try to get the value (which appears to contain a URL) from the second drop-down form element. Not sure what it's called but if you look at the second select element it should have a name associated with it (I've assumed it's called example2).
    url = document.doublecombo.example2.value;
    window.open(url, "Display Image", "menubar=no");But as I said, I'm not sure.

  • Email form script with custom text field and drop-down menu?

    Hey, I'm building a website in iWeb - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19707357/Website/craftpackage.html
    And I was looking for a script that could possibly send an email to me with the info a user chooses from/puts in 1. dropdown menu 2. text field 3. another text field. I'd be awesome if the fields could have a custom background or a transparent background.The drop-down menu could have any background, but it would be awesome if it could be made with custom images !

    Basic question.
    What have you yourself done to find out?
    Nothing?
    Start here :
    http://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+make+a+mail+form
    http://www.google.com/search?q=dropdown+menu+with+transparent+background
    Unfortunately, it has no dropdown menu :
    http://www.wyodor.net/blog/archives/2010/01/entry_301.html
    Btw, dropdown menus in forms at select menus. These are not the same.
    http://www.google.com/search?q=select+menu+form
    http://http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_forms.asp
    So start practicing and once everything works the way it should, display it in a html snippet.

  • Feedback forms / drop down menus

    Hello, I am fairly new so apologies if the questions posed may seem daft or have been answered before. Is there any way that within iWeb a feedback form can be added or a form with drop down menus? I cannot seem to find anything related to these items anywhere. I appreciate any help.
    Many Thanks
    Rob

    For feedback forums there are 3rd party sites like Wufoo which you create the form and add it to your page or the forms you create yourself. Examples of both are on this demo page: Embedding Forms & Encoding Email Addresses.
    For drop down menus do a search in this forum as they were discussed very recently.

    I'm fairly new to this, but I think it has to do with the way you have the drop downs named. Did you copy one then keep pasting it in each field? If so, that is the problem. You should rename each one with a different number: Dropdown1, Dropdown2, etc. I think that might solve the issue.

  • How do I create a dependant drop down in a web form?

    I am trying to add a web form to a web page that includes a dependant drop down menu. For example, I'd like there to be a drop down menu called "Interested Class" with three fields: "Tribe Fit", "Tribe Life" and "Tribe Core". When a user selects one of these fields ("Tribe Fit" for example), I want a new drop down menu to appear with the following choices: "7:00am", "12:30pm", "7:00pm".
    I have attempted this here and as you can see it's not working at the moment. The time drop down fields should be hidden until an "Interested Class" has been selected.

    I've placed my JS code in the HTML view of the actual web page as I noticed when I place it in the actual custom form it doesn't carry through to the page. I don't know if I'm placing my JS in the correct place though.
    Here is a snippet of my code if it helps:
    <tr>

    Can anyone please help explain to me how I can make this work? I am only a JS beginner - so please try to explain in simple terms if possible.
    Thank you!
    Nicole

    This wont work, Needs to be a lot more then this and CSS to hide things rather then script hiding them.
    Nicole, The times that are availible I gather differ depending on the type of the dropdown?
    You do not need multiple time dropdowns.
    Steps you need to do first on the form:
    1. Ensure the custom form field dropdown for interested class exists.
    2. Have custom dropdown with all the times that any of them can be. This is CSS hidden by default.
    3. Also CSS hide all the options in the select as well in your CSS.
    Next can you show what classes have what times as an example then can put the code more relevent to your example you can work off.
    The code will follow along the lines of....
    Dropdown On Change
              If selected options is xxx class then
              fade in option times  dropdown
              Show these otpion times
            if selected option is zzz class then
              fade in option times dropdown
                   show these times
    More control as you need to work properly, only two dropdowns needed.

  • I created a fillable form with drop downs...

    and such using the Adobe Forms Central for my business quotes.  I created the form, saved it as a pdf, tested the form by going through and filling it out with data, whether it was text, dates, or drop down options, and emailed it.  One lady didn't see any of the information I put in, only the original questions.
    My son saw all of it, on his computer, but he could also change the form to read something different.  Obviously, I can't have clients changing their quotes.  Is there a way for me to save a version that is readable, only, to the client?  I've been clicking buttons, but the form took me a while and I'm afraid I'll click the wrong thing and have to start from scratch.
    I did try going into the pdf, once it was completed with the information and making it read only, but it said I couldn't do that.  I tried encrypting it with a password, but it wouldn't let me do that either.  Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
    Mary

    What you can do is flatten the form field once you've filled them in, and save as a new file. A free JavaScript-based tool is available and makes the process simple: https://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/
    It includes instructions for installing it, but they're a bit out of date, so post again if you get stuck.
    Since you mentioned FormsCentral, one thing you may need to do first is remove the usage rights of the form by selecting: File > Save a Copy
    and then work with the copy. It doesn't open automatically when you do this.
