Iweb help for my wedding site
Hi all,
I have done a really basic iWeb site for my wedding, but i am looking to put some sort of R.S.V.P. page on there that my guests can use to let us know. Has anybody seen this done or knows how to do it. I would want the system only to be visable to the person confirming there attendence and to me.
I have attached the URL at the bottom if any one has any ideas or tips for improvements please give me a shout

You may try to re-copy the code from wufoio and re-paste it into iWeb making a new html snippet.
Actually as it works from wufoo.com website it should also work from your website as it should be exactly the same...
There may be some delay between the entry being sent to wufoo and getting e-mail notification but shouldn't take hours anyway...

Nano 6th gen/crossfade help for my wedding!
Hi:) I'm new to ipod & bought it to use for my wedding reception. I have crossfaded my songs but some mp3s trail off into long silences making a long gap between songs. I see in Itunes I can change the crossfade time for each track, but if I synch to my ipod nano will the crossfade times be the same on my nano? I did each song in the playlist in itunes with a diff crossfade time but it seemed like it didnt work when i went back to the track...like only 1 crossfade time could be used for the entire playlist. PLEASE any help would be appreciated. I have a PC so I downloaded Audacity to try and cut the silences off of these songs but I really dont know what I'm doing :/ The wedding is 2 wks away!! Thank you
Have you tried to just simply enable the Crossfade setting on your Nano?
To turn on crossfading:
1 From the Home screen, tap Settings.
2 Tap Music, and then tap Off next to Audio Crossfade.

Need help for creating sharepoint sites for both internet and intranet users
We would like to know what is the best approach to create SharePoint sites for our customers(internet users) and internal employees(intranet users) on the same SharePoint server. Here is the scenario:
1) A customer posts a document from internet.
2) This triggers a approval workflow that can only be accessed and executed in the intranet environment. This approval process requires approval's possible modifications to the customer's document.
3) We would like the customer not to able to check the approval state and the modified document until the document is fully approved and finalized.
We are pondering if we need to create two sites, one site for customer and the other site is for internal approvers. Or one site is possible. It also looks like we need to somehow copy customer's original document to intranet site and triggers the workflow.

Though it is perfectly possible to have both intranet and internet on the server, it is not a recommended practice. Having both on the same server would have multiple problems, instead me detailing it out, here is a forum thread on which Trevor had given

If you have valid reason to go with single server, then you can also explore email enabled lists as one option and another one would be using custom sharepoint designer workflow.
you can also try using event receivers to send documents to intranet site from internet site, process everything and update the document in the internet site.

I have a few questions, I recently switched to apple and I love it I am use to front page so I am learning.........I have made a site and I got it to upload to an appache server at 1st host web......I needed to make a few changes and i opened iweb and and made the changes but I can not get the changes to save to my folder under my documents the changes show when i preview in iweb but in my folder they do not I tried using save and publish to folder but that did not save them to mysites folder.....what am i doing wrong and what is the easiest way to make changes on an lready posted site.....I would appreciate any feedback.....Thanks Larry
Ohhh.....
When you choose Publish to Folder, just select the target folder. You don't need to and shouldn't try to point iWeb to a specific sitefolder on subsequent publishes. Just point iWeb to the target folder, it will basically replace everything inside that folder every time it publishes. There is no "updating" of files inside the folder.
If I were you, I would start fresh. Delete the folder that you have already. Make a new one and publish into that one. You should see your changes show up. And when you upload this to your server, you should always be uploading the entire contents of this folder (that should be two things: an index.html file AND another folder with your site files...upload both right next to each other.). -
I am running 10.6.8 and using iweb for my web site. After several SEO analysis they all indicate I need H1-6 header tags. After looking at the source code I see there are none in iweb. Are they necessary to add? Why would one add these tags and how do I add H Tags to iweb? And are there examples to look at? I am slowly learning about simple web design and assumed that iweb was stand alone without having to write code. Is this one of the reasons iweb is no longer supported? Thanks for looking at this!

Is traditionally represented by html tags like:
<h1>Heading</h1>
<h2>sub heading</h2>
<p>text paragraph ... </p>
I would guess that the use of h1-h6 tags helps search engines to understand the structure of a page as the tags imply a certain structure.
This can be compared to more generic tags like <div> that could represent any kind of content - and may be what iWeb uses (you'll have to check yourself).
I would generally recommend that you use some kind of up to date blog/site building tool, perhaps Wordpress or Squarespace (I haven't used either one myself) that support current web technologies - this should reduce your SEO issues and make it easier to properly support mobile/tablet users. -
Iweb 09_good for multiple site designs

I am looking to upgrade to a better imac and iWeb 09 to create "microsites" for my current print design clients to help expand their marketing. Is this version of iWeb easy to use for that or does it to multiple sites at all? Basically I am asking is this version a good one for multiple site building? Ease of use for that purpose? Thanks!Welcome to the Apple Discussions. iWeb 09 can handle multiple sites quite easily. However, a lot depends on where you plan to host the sites and manage them. Will they each have a domain name for the site?
On MobileMe you can have only one site with CNAME domain name forwarding to the same account. The others must use the standard html URL forwarding. AND they all must be created in the same Domain.sites2 file. That can be a problem.
If you use the standard domain name forwarding with MMe for all the sites then you can have a separate domain file for each client and use Web Site Maestro to manage then them and select which one to open and work on.
If each client will provide their own hosting server then it's possible that CNAME forwarding can be used for each client if they have a domain name and their server supports CNAME.
I use iWebSites to manage over 75 individual sites. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

My fiance and I are using iweb to let our wedding guests know about the location of our wedding, things to do, directions, etc. We would like to create a sort of guest book, or comments page, where our guests can send us a message via our website. Is this possible to do in iweb? If so, can someone let me know what the best and easiest way would be to do so? Thanks!

I have been able to access a site regularly but in the last few days get a message: "cookies required to access this site." please help, I use this site for work daily:)

Help I deleted my site from iweb
I was working on a new site and deleted my other site from iweb hoping I could find it again, is there any way to recover this site?
Not unless you have a backup of your Users folder.
If you publish to .mac, DON'T publish your new site until you have copied the folders in the Web>Sites>iWeb folder in your iDisk to another location. Publishing your new site will delete your previous site from your iDisk.
Once you have done this, you can move the folder for your first site to the Sites folder in your iDisk, and will be accessible through home page until you can rebuild the site. (If you can/want to do this, feel free to post back for more detailed instructions) -
MMy iPad Air has been VERY slow,for 6-8 weeks. Update to iOS 8.1 did not help. Screen just sits and buffers. Rebooting sometimes helps, sometimes not.what's wrong???
Hi go to ICloud & backup. Go to Seetings Restore to Factory Settings This will get rid of any bugs and make ipad like new. Just use Same Apple ID & password then you will get all your Apps & Data Back. Cheers Brian

Help for an apple newbie ... Alternative to iWeb?

I just moved over to the 'Mac side of life' ... loving the simplicity of everything. But in for a tiny surprise. I wanted to start using iWeb for my personal site .. lo and behold - I am told that iWeb is officially discontinued. A bit of let down.
Any other decent alternatives that any of you have tried? ... or can i still get iWeb ... not avaialble anywhere on the app store
cheers ....As you now know iWeb, and iDVD, has been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. How to is described in this tutorial: #26 - How to Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.
In addition the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on.
HOWEVER, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of this page) and those copies still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD.

I need help on Configuring the Site to Site VPN from Cisco 2811 to Websense Cloud for web Traffic redirect

2811 router connects to the Internet SW then connects to the Internet router.

IWeb makeover for existing site?
i apologize for so many post! i could have combined my last two i suppose.
i have an existing site that is basically just one page of lots of text with loads of supporting documents --scans both jpg and pdf-- all of which are linked in the js openwindow fashion in each link.
is there any way to import this into iWeb for an iWeb makeover?

You won't be able to do this in iWeb. There is no problem linking the files in iWeb, but in order to apply the javascript popup window code or otherwise have your links open in new windows, you will have to edit the HTML code that iWeb generates for your particular pages. -

HELP! iWeb Application opening up older site and pages.
Last night, I accidently deleted a site I built in iWeb. After much heartache, I rebuilt the entire site, republished it & everything was fine. I deleted older (dated files) & trashed them. Everything seemed fine this morning.
Now, I open up iWeb appication and the older site & pages which I had thought I had originally deleted is coming up and my most recent rebuilt site is now gone.
Not sure what happened, but the most recent rebuilt site is what I want, not the older one.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!!!My new rebuilt site is still correct and showing up in my browser because I haven't republished the older site - which is now showing up in iWeb application.
It's the older site and pages that are showing up in the iWeb application. When I rebuilt the site, I updated it, so I'd like to be able to make changes and republish this most recent site when necessary.
