Try the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
launch iWeb and try again.

  • IWeb is not saving changes!

I've created a new site using iWeb 08, and have added a couple pages and a few albums to it. I used the media browser to import albums from Aperture. So far, so good, but I only get about halfway done with what I want to do before things get screwy.
    Here's the site: http://web.mac.com/rob_meyers/Jason/
I have pictures I'm trying to add to the site for the other years. If I select and drag several albums from the media browser window to an album page in iWeb, iWeb locks up. If I drag the albums individually, I get a little further. I try to save, in that I select "Save" from the File menu. The "Saving.." message window pops up, and disappears normally. After I try to publish my changes, iWeb locks up while trying to connect to my .Mac account. I have to Force Quit iWeb, after giving it about 20 minutes to connect to my .Mac account, and watching it ignore my clicks on the Cancel button. When I restart iWeb, all of my imports, and other changes since I last published, are gone!
Honestly, iWeb is the only reason I bought iLife 08. I use Aperture for photo management, and I'm not musically inclined nor do I create movies. It's extremely frustrating when software doesn't work right, especially if it's Apple software (which I'm normally very happy to use).
I have all of the latest Software Updates installed.

  • Error message "the document iweb could not be saved"

Help! I made a few small updates to my already published web site and now when I go to save or publish it I get the message "The document iWeb could not be saved". I have made changes in the past with no issues.... why now and what is the problem?
    Thanks

It looks like I'm completely screwed. Why the ****
does iWeb not do incremental backups?
Sounds like something to suggest to Apple. But even if Apple does implement something like this, it doesn't take away the ulitimate responsibility of backing up from the end user. I think Apple has a ways to go in terms of making the Domain file more apparent and visible so that the end user understands that THIS is the file to backup!
    Good luck to you!

  • IWeb is unreliably saving (well, not saving) my work

    Hello,
I am becoming severly frustrated with iWeb.  It has started not saving my work correctly.
I can make changes to my site (which is currently unpublished) and click save.  When I reopen iWeb, I am often finding that is hasn't saved at all, or might have saved just some of my progress.
I am running v3.0.4 so there is no update I can try.  I have also restarted the Macbook Pro (running Snow Leopard) several times but this problem persists and it's really halting my progress, as I keep having to redo sections of my site.
Can anyone offer any help please?  Has anybody else found this problem?
    Many thanks
    Colin

    Hi Roddy,
Thanks very much for that link.  I wont click that this has solved my problem just yet, as I want to give it a good test first, but first indications are that it seems to have resolved my issue.
If I don't lose any more work in the next day or two then I will get you your points!
    Cheers
    Colin

  • Changes are not saved

After making changes to my iWeb site, I have re-published as well as saved all to .mac. However, the changes are not saved. How can I save the changes?

    KHCrowley,
    Welcome to Apple's discussions.
Try clearing your browser cache, and then take another look. The changes are most likely there.

  • Hyperlinks not saving

    Hi,
I'm currently rebuilding my website with lots of hyperlinks taking you to pages that don't appear on the nav bar. All was fine in the beginning, but after putting 10+ links on the same page, all going to different places I find that they are not saving, and rather than going to the page I want them to, they are all going to a pdf file (this may have been the original button that I copied and pasted, but then I changed the details in the hyperlink box so that it would take you to the various pages.)
It doesn't matter how many times I click save, or publish between each link or doo them all in one go, whenever I go back to the button has returned to linking to the pdf file.
HELP! I feel like I am wasting my life away here, and iWeb is supposed to SAVE me time!

I have found that it works much better, for some reason, to make links on a separate
page and then copy and paste. The whole link process in iweb can drive you nuts, especially if you are changing fonts and formatting at the same time. It's very sensitive to the order in which you do things I think.

  • Where are iWeb pages stored/saved?

Hi all. I'm building my first website using iweb. there is one (of only 3 so far) page that is apparently corrupted. whenever i click on that page name in the sidebar, iweb crashes, so i can't delete it using the edit/delete page dialogue.
if i can find where my iweb pages are saved, i'll just go there and then drag the page to the trash....
    thanks

The pages do not exist until you publish them. The elements that comprise the pages are stored in the Domain.sites2 file/package that's located in your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder.
Are there any messages in the Console regarding iWeb that might indicate what's causing the problem.
Aside from the above you can try the following: create a new site and drag the two working pages to it. Then click on the first site's folder icon and see if you can delete the entire site. If that works then all you need to do is recreate that one page.
Also be sure to make a backup of the domain file frequently. Saves a lot of rebuilding in case something goes south in that domain file.

  • IWeb is not keeping pages formatted

iWeb is not keeping pages formatted after I upload and then quit iWeb. When I reopen iWeb the newly created photo album has lost all its photos, and formating is gone. I have not moved the photos from the HD, they are still in iPhoto.
All other pages are fine. sample image

    Roddy,
That did it. It took a few times, but it seems to be working fine now. I deleted the photo album, quit iWeb, deleted the "Folder" /Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist, Restarted.
Opened iWeb, then quit it. Then deleted com.apple.iWeb.plist, restarted. Opened iWeb, added the photo album back, published it, saved, quit. And when I reopened iWeb the album was still there. Also iWeb is running faster.
    Thanks Roddy.

  • IWeb '09 not publishing accurately

This is driving me crazy: Simple elements like words that I am formatting in iWeb with color, font, size, shadow, hyperlink definition, etc., while looking and acting perfect in iWeb, do not make the translation to the published version (publishing to a local folder). These same elements (words) either disappear, change color, change font, revert to pre-saved (or other erroneous) text, color, size, font in the published version. I've tried redoing the site from scratch (one page at a time), quitting iWeb then re-launching, re-starting my computer, removing possible offending elements, but to no avail. Any ideas? Is this a known flaw in iWeb? Helllllllllp........

Try the troubleshooting steps under "Fix iWeb" here.....
    http://www.iwebformusicians.com/WebMusic/iWebTips.html
The restart dumps out all the redundant files.
Three is a bug that has really bugged me which screws up changes in hyperlinks sometimes.
To get out of this one I have to delete the item(s), save, quit iWeb, restart my Mac, relaunch and then add it again.
Painful and slow but it works.
Maybe one day the iWeb developers will try to fix this one!
Apparently they don't seem to care that their incompetence is wasting a lot of my time. Either that or they don't actually use iWeb which is probably more likely as is evident from their many serious blunders.

    When i omit the line OutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(saveFile);
    and write only
    ImageIO.write((RenderedImage) bufferedImage, outExtension,saveFile);
    //out.flush();
then saving the image even in "png" also fails.

Sub Transaction type determines the subcontracting attributes and determines the accounts for the posting while doing a sub contracting transaction.
Sub transaction type is also used for determining the accounts while
    doing excise removals.
Within CIN the account determination is based on the transaction type.
So normally you can have a single set of accounts for Excise
utilization. In case you need alternate account determination for
handling various scenarios you can define sub transaction types. The
sub transaction types and corresponding account assignments needs to be
    maintained in CIN customization
To make customization of Sub Transaction type, goto
<b>SPRO --> Logistics General --> Tax on Goods Movements --> India --> Account Determination and check whether you have assigned second and third one, viz. "Specify Excise Accounts per Excise Transaction and Specify GL Accounts per Excise Transaction".</b>
    Check
<b>Taxes on goods mvnt--indiaaccnt determination---specify excise accnts for excise transaction...maintain the sub transction type , ip or 01,
    against the appropriate ETT</b>

iMac, 2 users, one is administrator and other is standard user. Recently, in the non-admin user account, it has become impossible to make any changes. For example, adding an application to the the Dock, after logging out and back in next time, the application is not in the Dock any more. Also, making changes to the prefs in Safari, changes are not saved.
I noticed this after installing FireFox v4. I installed it as admin whilst in the non-admin users account. However, I don't believe that the installation of FF has anything to do with the problem, it just highlighted it. I've checked the permissions for the various directories that hold prefs info such as user/libraries/application prefs/etc. etc. and also Safari prefs. Nothing I can see that has changed in system prefs.
Any ideas on what has caused the problem (kids are known to fiddle from within the non-admin account) and any ideas on how to fix it?
    Thanks

    Hi PPRuNe,
You could try making the standard user an Admin too. To do this, make sure you are logged in to the standard user, go to System Preferences > Accounts > Standard user (you may have to unlock the padlock) > Allow user to administer this computer
This will allow changes to be made without being prompted for a password all the time.
However, if you had Parental Controls on, they probably won't work on an admin account because as an admin you have complete control over a computer, so the computer thinks there is no point in having the controls turned on. And if the kids are known to "fiddle," just think carefully!
    Hope this helps you.
    Chris.

  • Microsoft Outlook 2010 The delegates settings were not saved correctly. Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.

I am trying to assign delegation to a user and I receive the following message.
The delegates settings were not saved correctly.  Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list.  You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.
We are using 2010 for the server and client.  There are only specific mailboxes that this is happening for after being migrated from Lotus Notes.  The user can use their mailfile fine however it is just the delegation that appears corrupted somehow.
I'm not sure how to fix this.  I have checked the access through the security tab in ad and that looks fine.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I did some more digging and I solved it.
    This would be the solution:
In Active Directory Users and Computers
    -Click on VIEW
-Click on ADVANCE FEATURES  (this is important otherwise you won't see
the complete list in the next steps)
    -Click on the USERS container
    -Find the problem user's account
-Right mouse the account and click on PROPERTIES
    -Click on the SECURITY tab
-In the top box, click on the SELF account
-In the bottom portion of the screen make sure the READ PERSONAL
INFORMATION  & WRITE PERSONAL INFORMATION  should both be checked for
    ALLOW
If you can compare the permissions for 'SELF' with another user you probably should set them accordingly to be safe. I noticed that for the user where setting delegates (SOB) did
not work, more than those 2 permissions were missing.
    Good luck!
    David
