IWeb is only compatible with iPhoto?

I mainly work with Lightroom2 and was wondering if there was a way to import pictures/albums from LR2... or even Aperture.
Thanks.

Is there any way to interface iweb with LR2?
What have you done so far to find out?
iWeb and iPhoto work together in iLife.
It's rather difficult to take all 3rd party software into account.
Turn the question around :
Does Lightroom work with iLife? Is there a way to interface Lightroom with iWeb/iLife?
Have you asked in the Lightroom forum? Or figured it out yourself?
Perhaps it's easier to accept that not everything fits together. It makes life less traumatic.
The negative is, that you have to find solutions.

  • What photo printers are compatible with iPhoto '08?

On Apple's support site, they list the printer drivers that Leopard comes with, but I'm finding that just because Leopard comes with the driver, that doesn't necessarily mean the printer is compatible with iPhoto... unless my research has mislead me.
What iPhoto-compatible printers are you all using, or which photo printers do you recommend?
    Thanks,

The new version of GarageBand is only compatible with 10.9 and above.
If your Mac can run MacOS X 10.6.8, it probably can be upgraded to Yosemite, if you don't have to stick to Snowleopard for other reasons.
Is it possible to still get the older version?
Amazon or eBay are still selling iLife '11 installer disks, and you could reinstall GarageBand from these DVDs. But it will be expensive.
Have you checked your backups, if you can restore GarageBand from a backup?
OR, can I get another copy of the startup CD that came with my computer so that I can reinstall GarageBand?
Sometimes the AppleStore Support will replace missing installer CDs for a fee.

  • My old iPad 2 is updated to ios 7.1.2 but I have a new 4 which is only compatible with 7.0.4 from setup. How can I backup my account to the new iPad with this incompatibility?

My old iPad 2 is updated to ios 7.1.2 but I have a new 4 which is only compatible with 7.0.4 from setup. How can I backup my account to the new iPad with this incompatibility?

What you need to do is temporarily set up your new 4. Just long enough to update the operating system. Then you can erase all content and settings - which puts it back to its out of box state, then set it up again, this time restoring it from the backup of your two.
So, using the same Apple ID on both - just to keep things easy - set up your 4. Just basically choose 'set up as new' to activate it, then immediately update the iOS to 7.1.2.
then erase all content and settings, which puts it back to 'llike new'...but the operating system will not reset, it'll remain 7.1.2
Then set it up again, this time choosing to 'restore from the backup' of your 2 and your 4 will be a near clone of your two.

  • PHP photo galleries that are compatible with iPhoto?

I don't have MobileMe, but I do have a personal web site running PHP and would like to publish my photo albums on my web site as a good place to store them. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best PHP photo gallery software (preferably free) **that is compatible with iPhoto**?
Of course I can always export everything out of iPhoto and then import them into ANY photo gallery software, but I'm hoping there's a good one out there that does have iPhoto support.

  • USB monitor not compatible with iPhoto or Maps?

My AOC USB display will not show photos in iPhoto (other than thumbnails), nor will it show maps in the Maps app.  The manufacturer tells me this is something Apple needs to remedy.  Does anyone know of a third party solution?  I've heard there is some kind of hardware USB graphics adapter but I don't know if that will solve this problem.

    Peter:
Do you have a memory card in the phone that you can transfer the photos to? If so, you can get an inexpensive card reader and use it. That's how I get photos from my LG onto my HD.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Old JVC Video camera, driver only compatible with windows.

I have an old JVC camera, i would like to transfer the video which is on mini DV cassette via usb to my macbook pro however the device is not recognised and the driver is only compatible with windows.

I have an old JVC camera, i would like to transfer the video which is on mini DV cassette
It would help if you give us the exact model JVC camcorder you have.
That said, nearly all miniDV camcorders (including JVC miniDV cams) transfer video via Firewire (aka iLink or IEEE 1394), not USB.   And no drivers are required, at least not on a Mac.  If you have a more recent Mac that has a Thunderbolt port (no Firewire port), you can use an Apple Thunderbolt-Firewire adapter to connect your camcorder to your Mac (although you may also need a 4-pin to 9-pin FW cable).
Also, on miniDV camcorders that have both Firewire and USB connections, the USB connection is almost exclusively reserved for transferring still photos from the memory card in the camcorder, not video from the miniDV cassettes.

when i double click my iphoto "The library is not compatible with iPhoto" box pops up and none of my pictures will load and my i photo will not open. Can anyone help? thanks!

    1. Go to Pictures > iPhoto Library > (Right Click) Select “Show Package Contents”
    2. Select Database and double click on it.
    3. Here you will see a list of files and folders you might not be familiar with. Don’t fret. Search for the “DataModelVersion.plist” file.
    DataModelVersion.plist > (Right Click) Select Open With > Other…
    4. Select “TextEdit.app” as the file editor.

    5. Browse around the document and you will see isIPhotoLibrary.
The default value is “false”. Change it to “true” (as highlighted below).
    Save file.

Nothing.  The 2nd Gen Touch is OBSOLETE and is WAY past its support life.  If you want to run the newer apps you have to buy a newer iPod.

Florida virtual school system is only compatible with Safari versions 4.0 and 5.0, where can I down load these?

Safari 4 was for Tiger 10.4.11, and Safari 5 for Leopard. Neither will work on a system running Mountain Lion.
Surprising that they have never updated their system!

  • My MacBook died and my hard drive was removed, are my existing files only compatible with Apple products?

My MacBook died and my hard drive was removed, are my existing files only compatible with Apple products? Are the files encrypted with Apple OS or am I able to import my files to Microsoft programs?

The drive as a whole can’t be read on a PC without installing software such as MacDrive on it.
The answer varies for individual document files; some file formats can be read by Windows software, while others can't.
