IWeb not supporting enhanced audio podcasts

I I have dropped an enhanced audio podcast onto an iWeb podcast template page and while it plays and shows the graphics in the podcast on the unpublished page, the interactive links embedded in the podcast don't work.
Any ideas as to why this is?
The links in the podcast work fine in iTunes
Cheers
Neil

(the actual file used in the page)
Your experience in the published iWeb page is confirmed. The embedded links do not work when clicked.
If I open the .m4a file "directly" in QuickTime Player the links work as expected.
When I "subscribe" to your Podcast the file downloads via iTunes but I do not see any images or links.
I would use QuickTime Player Pro to change the file extension from .m4a to .mov and add that new file to the iWeb page. Simply open in Player Pro and "Save As" to append the .mov file extension.
Edit your current page to add the new .mov file and "Publish" it again.

  • IWeb not supported on this architecture

I received a warning that I cannot open the application "iWeb" because it is not supported on this architecture. Has anyone run across this issue?

I stopped by an Apple store today (06/25/10) to get some feedback on this issue. Yes, this was the worst possible day to ask a non-iPhone 4 question. Basically, it was suggested that I reinstall iWeb 09 and see if that fixes the problem. The only other solution was to pack up the computer and head to an Apple store for them to investigate.

  • Artwork in enhanced audio podcast not at full scale

I created an .m4a and .mov and neither plays in QT 7.1.6 at it's native 300x300 size but rather 130x130. QT props shows it at 100% scale and when I double the image looks fine except that my embedded url now sits in the upper left not bottom centered unless I drag the corners. This only happens on the PC. Also, the movie window will not refresh if something moves over it. Could this be an overlay issue?

The type attribute within the 'enclosure' tag should read
    type="audio/x-m4a"
As to pinging, I've never been convinced that it makes any difference, but of course it's impossible to test properly for this. When I was running my podcast I found it usually took 1-2 days for new episodes to show up, but there have been patches in recent months of it taking some days.

  • Boot camp 5 is not support for audio and mice in windows 8.1

i upgrade to windows 8.1, but, no audio and mice is not working properly. i used boot camp 5. any one can help.

Windows 8.1 x64 RTM is running without any problems on MacBook Pro 13" i7 16GB Memory as I upgraded last week.
If you are using the Beta version of Windows 8.1 I suggest you wait until it is available to the General Public on October 17.
If you have the RTM (I am a Microsoft Partner) then just install and then run the Windows Support Software for Bootcamp 5 and the proper drivers will be installed.

  • Jabber not support p2p audio on WebEx Connect.

    Hi, everyone.
We have received complaints from customers in the WebEx Connect Client peer-to-peer audio functionality. We know Cisco's announcement, after April 3, 2015, a customer has to use Jabber on WebEx Connect. But Jabber doesn't have the peer to peer audio function.
Customers to be continued use the WebEx Connect Client. Until Jabber with peer-to-peer audio functionality. I think customer claims is hot, and correct.
Q1. Does Jabber plan to support the peer to peer audio function?
Q2. We want to use continuous WebEx Connect Client, until p2p audio support on Jabber.
We escalated to the Webex Customer success Manager, but difficult to change the situation. If this goes on, customers consider stopping the WebEx contract renewal. and considering Skype or LINE for free talk function :(

Haven't been able to try a different speaker yet, but I can add that
    - I successfully used bluetooth with a car phone about a year ago
    - I have tried an iphone 5 with my soundbar, with same choppy/intermittent sound.
    - However, it works perfectly when I stream from my computer using bluetooth.
Also, I have been in touch with Philips customer care, but I'm inclined to thinking the phone is the source of the problem... (Or, most likely, I am to blame..)

  • VLC does not support the audio or video format

"XVID" or "DIV3" which used to run fine on the same machine. VLC is not givin very much hints here:Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
What needs to be installed after vlc to play these formats  I used to do?

OK, quite randomly VLC appears to be able to play videos again.

  • Stereo Mix Audio format not supported?

    Hi
I'm pretty new at streaming, and i need help with my audio setup, I'm selecting Stereo Mix from the dropdown menu in the FMLE 3.2 but when i do it says.
    "Audio format not supported."
"Audio format provided by audio capture device is not supported by this application."
I don't really understand why, since my mic device is supported. Why does this occur?
And how can I fix it?
I have a motherboard soundcard "VIA HD".
EDIT: I figured out why it doesn't work.
I went to the Recording devices menu to check the options but I noticed that Stereo Mix was "Currently unavailable" I figured maybe a program was using it but I don't know how to check what programs use the device.

I have noticed something else which is weird : the recording device is ALWAYS called "Line 1".
I tried renaming both the VAC playback and record devices Line 1 to other names, FMLE still displays "Line 1". This makes no sense (and Audacity sure doesn't behave that way, I have checked).
Should I need to make a complete uninstallation to wipe old FMLE settings ?

iWeb is not working for sending podcasts to iTunes, so I need a new web building tool. What is the closest thing to iWeb that I can use, which also supports podcasts?

There's no reason you can't go on using iWeb for this - with iWeb '08 you have to publish to a local folder (i.e. on your Mac) and then upload the contents of the folder (not the folder itself) to your hosting service: and you have to make sure you enter the new URL in the Publish information or the feed won't work properly; this done, an iWeb podcast should work fine.
Of course there is still the problem that iWeb is not supported and sooner or later a system upgrade may break it. You could look at RapidWeaver: you can make podcasts with that, though the last time I looked into that - which was admittedly some time back - I didn't feel it was ideal for this. There are lots of other podcast creation programs or services around. WordPress is OK but it may be a bit of a steep learning curve: Libsyn is an online service that seems to work reliably. Blogger writes messy feeds but does usually work. Podcast Maker used to work well - I used it myself a few years back - but it rather looks as if it's gone moribund and it may not be reliable with Lion/Mountain Lion, so you would want to check into that.

  • Audio Books (aa files) not supported Nokia E63

I have purchased a Nokia E63 and now find it does not support aa* files which is the format Audio Books use Is there a known work around? . I understand that aa* files are encrypted to protect the authors royalties and cannot understand why Nokia want to block the files as they do not offer an alternative
    Nicdave

Ah, yes, Nokia Audiobook Player. I used it on my previous phone, the E61i. It worked quite well - as long as the files were not too long. I think 99 minutes was the magical limit, which oddly enough was also the limit on SE's first UIQ3 phones.
What's with Nokia and their poor support for audiobooks and podcasts? And why have they removed the resume support in their later phones? Was the code too complex to maintain? In the N95 you could mark an audio file in your library as a podcast and the media player would then remember last played position and automatically resume from there when playing the same file next time. This does not work in the E72.
I wonder if this is equally useless on their 5th edition phones.
In any case, since I listen more to audiobooks and podcasts than to music, buying a Nokia phone again wasn't very clever (*slapping forehead*). Guess which brand my next phone will be? It's a fruit and makes a very yummy pie...

  • Creative Zen V Plus - Seeking your help with "Audio format is not supported" error

    Hi,
I have a problem with my Creative Zen V Plus and am looking for someone to do a quick test to help me. I listen to a lot of MP3 podcasts, so I often rewind, fast forward or set bookmarks inside tracks. When I do those operations in some tracks, I get the error ?Audio format is not supported? when I ?land on certain places in a track (and I am able to reproduce the problem, which happens always at the same place in a particular track).
Here is what I mean by ?land?. For instance, there is a particular track (see the mp3 link below) that whenever I rewind to exactly 35 min 37 seconds, I get the error ?Audio format is not supported? and playback is stopped. If I fast forward to exactly 35 min 37 seconds, I also get the error. If I set a bookmark to exactly 35 min 37 seconds and I then go to that bookmark, I also get the error. But I don?t get the error if I play the track normally without any rewinding or fast forwarding: the track is played and passes the 35 min 37 seconds mark without any error.
Creative Labs customer support wants me to return my player for repair, but I am not sure if the problem is with my player or if the problem would also be present on other Zen V Plus, thus my asking for your help.
I would appreciate if someone of you could try one of my problematic tracks on their player. Here is what you could do to help me:
1- Download and transfer to your Zen V Plus player the following audio file (it'ss a technology podcast and don?t worry, it'ss virus-free, it comes from CNET):
    http://podcast-files.cnet.com/podcas...oud_090808.mp3
2- Go to the 35 min and 37 seconds mark, press PAUSE and set a bookmark there.
3- Go into the Bookmarks menu and go to the bookmark you just set.
4- Do you see the error ?Audio format is not supported?, or the audio plays just fine? If the audio plays just fine, could you tell me what are the first words you hear
when going to that bookmark, just so that I am sure we are indeed doing the same test on each of our side?
5- What firmware version is your player at ?
Thank you very much for any help you could bring me.
    Patrick

    never mind. figured it out!

How can I fix: iPad1 plays back audio podcasts (not music) at double speed?

    Hello @GiveHP2ndChance,
I understand that you are not able to get adequate sound from your notebook computer's BEATS Audio, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To correct the sound on your system, I recommend following this document on No Sound from Speakers (Windows 7) or for (Windows 8). This should help improve the quality of the audio on your notebook.
To assist you further, I will need to know:
The Product and Model Number of your notebook computer.
The version of Windows you have installed on your computer.
If your computer has completed all of its important Windows Updates.
If you have updated your HP drivers using the HP Support Assistant.
If this is an on-going, or recent issue.
If the same lack of quality is present when headphones are plugged in.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!
    Cheers!

  • No sound at all - "THotkey message: Audio device is not supported"

Device Manager lists: Legacy Audio Driver and says the device is working properly. Yet I have no sound,  and I have troubleshooted from almost every angle - even tried to download a new driver (RealTek) and still nothing.
My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro S300M and I have Windows XP Pro.
Each time my computer boots (and this doesn't happen in safe mode) two messages appear:
THotkey: This Audio Device is not supported
    and
    TouchED Error
    Retrieval of HotKey Failed
    Error Code: 0x00031402, 0x00000002
And...as per "Jerry's" advice, I downloaded the HotKey utility and the util common modules. Still nothing. No sound.
    Help ?
    Thanks,
    S

I know this is an old post--but I came across it when I had the same problem in 2013, so I am posting the solution I found to the problem.  I found that the following things resolved the problem.  First--for the Thotkey problem.  Turn off the hibernate option.  You do this by using the power option (Settings--Control Panel--Power Options--Hibernate tab--unclick the Enable Hibernation box) and  then restart your computer.  For me, this resolved the THotkey message, but still no sound. Then, to resolve the no sound problem.  My Satellite Pro S300-EZ1514 has a key sequence that turns speakers on and off.  The ESC key shows a picture of a speaker with sound waves, a slash, and a speaker.  By hitting the FN key and the ESC key together, you toggle the speakers off (a grayed out speaker image) and on (a yellow-colored speaker with sound waves).  Make sure you have the speakers on (the colored image). Unfortunately, I found this solution after I had uninstalled Realtek Audio Device--downloaded new drivers--and basically spent A LOT of time researching.

  • I have a mid 2009 Macbook Pro and i know the Mini-display port does not support audio out but does it support HDMI out? or do i have to buy a Mini-display to DVI and then a DVI to HDMI adapters?

Run MDP to HDMI for picture. Use a cable like this to run sound from your audio out on your Mac to your TV's audio in.  That's about all  you can do.

If it's an Audiobook, then it's probably in the Audiobook section of your iPhone. Have you set your iTunes to Sync Audiobooks with your iPhone?
Alternatively, if the Audiobook was imported into your iTunes Library as as Music, then it's going to be in the Music section of your iPhone. If so, then it will be in the Music section of your iTunes Library. To move it to the Audiobooks section, select it in the Library and choose File/Get Info/Options>Media Kind where you can change it.
You can change it to a Podcast, but since something is only a Podcast if it is delivered to your iTunes as a Podcast download (which is a process for delivering files without you having to go and find them), then your audiobook is not a Podcast and you may forget (in the future) how you obtained the book in the first place

  • HT5287 If DVD Movies, Audio CD's and even burning CD and DVD's are not supported, what is the point of DVD & CD Sharing then? Wouldn't it just be better to remote in or use a thumb drive if it's only able to be used for data transfer?

Or am I missing the bigger picture?

As long as you have a Superdrive or an external burner/drive, burning, watching, installing, etc. from CD or DVD will work just fine. And so will sharing.
