IWeb problem viewing on some older versions of IE

I hope someone can help. I just published my iWeb site. I'm using version 2.0.2.
It seems that the page appears broken on some older versions of IE using Windows or it doesn't load at all.
Also I uploaded some changes and when I view it on my Mac using Safari I don't see the changes but other people using Windows can.
I'm curious how it looks on other Macs using Safari. www.prizerphoto.com
Is there a newer version or a patch available?

To view changes after uploading, click "Empty Cache..." in the "Safari" drop down menu before visiting your site.
Due to the number of images, your website will be hard to download in the latest version of IE. Older versions will have no chance!
To help get your site to download in the WWB (World's Worst Browser) you have to optimize your files.
Pay particular attention to the size of your photo files.

ever since I downloaded the newest version of Firefox, my Dragon NaturallySpeaking hasn't been working very well. For example, I will say "click register" or "click contact us" to select links and buttons on websites. Before this worked fine, but now it hardly works at all, which makes me think that because I am using a Dragon NaturallySpeaking program from 2007 or 2008, that it just doesn't know how to handle a program like Mozilla Firefox six that was written after its time. What I want to try is to download an older version of Mozilla Firefox to see if the problems go away. I don't know if that would mean I would use Mozilla five or four, but I would like to try both. ITunes Problems? 'Downgrade' To Older Versions HERE

Yes, today I DID install it. After reading all the differing opinions on what causes problems with upgrades, i am convinved upgrading isn't problematic, but upgrading DOES reveal troublesome pre-existing conditions that were lurking in a user's computer. Upgrades are pretty benign, but when you tinker with your computer past the "plain vanilla" stage, you invite problems.
That said, I quit all programs, verified/repaired permissions, detached all peripherals except keyboard/mouse, restarted just to be sure, then launched the .dmg intaller for iTunes 7.2, and two minutes later, installation is complete. Verified/repaired permissions, re-attached all peripherals (I even removed the iTunes icon from the dock and replaced it with a new one!). All is fine, my shuffle is recognized, all my songs and playlists are there, everything is EXACTLY as it was before, no hiccups, burps, or problems to speak of. And I plan on keeping it that way. Thanks for many good posts everyone, they helped me in my understanding.

Problems viewing site in earlier versions of IE

I'm wondering if you can help me.
I've just built a site and it appears fine in FF & IE8 but in earlier versions of IE the pages break up and I lose the scroll boxes.
Can anyone offer me some advice?

A couple things jump out at me:
Line 4 - Your end tag is wrong. Currently is > and needs to be /> . And your id="footer" is used twice. Once on a span and once on a div. For the code to be read as valid it can only be used once.
Your CSS code seems like it would render fine in IE 7.

Scores created in some older versions of Logic don't open legibly on Macpro

I have not been able to open certain scores in their original, edited and printable format since i got my MacPro G5. I get a long line (not page veiw) of strangly formated notes continuing on into dark background and cannot toggle int page view. Quite a drag cause i have hundreds of such scores I need to access.

This is a known problem with MacPros and Logic. Do a search on this forum for similar posts, see if anyone has offered a workaround. AFAIK Apple has not issued a fix for this problem, even though people have been posting about this for months.

Problem printing from some software versions

Am assuming it has something to do with the (Adobe?) sepcifics of the machine since the same software on a G4 (10.4) Powerbook will print fine.
Machine: G4, 10.4.11
Printer: wireless HP6890,
Software: Just installed Acrobat Reader 6 then 8, will not print any PDF file. Can print PDF from Reader 5 (if 5 can open) or from Photoshop.
Software: InDesign CS2 & CS3, will not print. Can print from CS. Have tried re-installing InDesign.

Can print with Preview, Photoshop, Acrobat 5 (provided v5 can open the file).
So does not appear to be a problem with the PDF files or the printer connection.

If you mean the printer that shows in System Preferences Print and Fax, yes.
Error messages say "the process pictwpstops / pstopdffilter stopped"

Cleaned the font cache but do not think it is fonts as can not print a PDF page that is only a graphic.
As noted at the Adobe forum the machine can print if 'print as image' is selected but that is a workaround, not an answer to the problem.

Why does sp_Refrehview revert my altered view to an older version?

Last night I altered one of my views. Where I work, it is custom to run sp_refreshview after changing any views due to the sheer number of views utilized at my job. I noticed that after I altered my view and after I ran sp_Refreshview, the view had changed.
The view no longer reflected the changes I had made in my alter statement last night. Why is this happening? I looked online and couldn't find much information. Any thoughts/tips/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My guess is it was not properly altered or schema/db was different

Older version of iLife on new iMac

I will be updating to a new iMac but need iWeb. It has previously been recommended to buy an older version of iLife on eg. Ebay but I was wondering how that would work. Would I have 2 versions of iLife running or would the older version of iLife replace the one preinstalled?

I don't know about newer Macs and iLife but I think the various components are more or less stand alone. In other words you can run iWeb and iDVD from an older version next to iPhoto and whatever of a new version. I strongly suspect the installer will let you customize what is installed and you can just select the iLife components that were removed in later versions. Still, it would be a good idea to back up your computer first just in case there is some shared library component and the installation had undesirable results.

General query regarding availability of Older Versions of Connector bundles

How can I download the older versions of Connector bundles. I wish to download PeopleSoft User Management Connector 9.1.0. But the official Oracle website shows only some 11.x.x version. If I want to download some older versions, is there a separate archive or atleast can I get in metalink. I have searched metalink already and didn't find any. Please help.

If you are not able to find older version of connector on Metalink then raise an SR with Oracle and give proper Business Justification for the same.

We have an application that worked fine on Java 6 Update 26. Update 29 broke the application. Even though we have fixed the problem, for people using older versions of the application, there is no recourse, if they have upgraded their OS to 10.7. So, is there a way to install Java 6 Update 26 on Mac OS X 10.7 ?

I have a client that just started working remotely and needs to do payroll via her Mac OS X 10.7.5 system via a web browser. The payroll system appears to be ADP/Kronos as far as I can tell. We first tried using Safari and it said the plugin was missing so we downloaded the latest Java and installed. When we tried to run it dumped the following error. (see below)
At this point we decided to try Firefox and rather than a dump we found the message Java 1.6.0_07 required.
At this point we went hunting for an older version of Java and did find one only to be told if was specifically for OS X 10.5.x. My client is running OS X 10.7.5.
I have other clients running Windows that have multiple (older) versions of Java installed including 4, 5 and 6 all on one machine so I'm not sure if this is possible on Mac OS X or not.
Note I am not in charge of the payroll system and have no way of updating that side of things. I may recommend that my client contact her internal Help Desk or revert to using a Windows based system as I know for sure that would be capable of handling these requirements.

How to find older versions of software (Stuffit Expander)

Hello all-
I have a Power G4 with a Power PC G4 processor. I would like to download Stuffit Expander, but I only seem able to find the current versions (on the SmithMicro and cnet websites). And the G4 doesn't have the necessary specifications (no Intel processor and the OS is too old - 10.4.11)
Is there anywhere I can find an older version of Stuffit to download? One that my computer can "handle"?

Do you have the original OS X discs that came with the computer? Some versions came bundled with free version of Stuffit Expander. Use Pacifist to select individual components from the disc for installation so you don't have to reinstall the entire system.

Hi,
In SE38, You can use the menu, Utilities ->Version Management to see all the versions. Each version will be having the transport request number and the author.
You can even compare between the versions too, to know differences in the code.
If you want to retrieve or activate or use some older version, simply come through the program change mode, select the version management from the menu and check mark that version and click on menu Versions ->Retrive and then finally activate.
You can check the versions in any system.
