IWeb quits while uploading

Suddenly I can't publish my posts anymore - not to the .Mac nor to a folder on my HD. I bought more storage, thinking I had exceeded it, but even now it keeps quitting after about a minute. Exactly at same place. I eliminated the entries where it quit, now it quits at the next ones. I do use iWeb's last version 1.1.2. Have re-started computer a few times, no result.

Some other people have been having the same problem (still haven't found a solution yet but still):

  • IWeb quits while publishing

    Today I cannot publish to MobileMe. The error message is "iWeb quit unexpectedly while using the SFWordprocessing plugin."
    Never happened before. I did the upgrade to 3.02 yesterday.
    Any hints?

    There's a recent topic about this here...

    Have a look at the last post which mentions that an Apple tech claims that this problem has been fixed in the latest V 3.0.2 update. I would hope so but, if this is true, why didn't Apple tell us?
    I'm now going to assume that, as long as one has the latest version of iWeb, the "Million Dollar Trick" is no longer valid.
    It appears that this poster's problem was a corrupt Domain file and was solved by dragging the pages, one by one, into a new site to eliminate the problem page.

  • Iphoto unexpectedly quits while uploading book

    Trying to upload a photo book to apple for purchase, but once I pass the purchase page and it is uploading - it always 'unexpectedly' quits?
    Any idea why?

    1 - does the book preview correctly?  iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it
    2 - have you tried uploading in safe mode )be sure to preview again since fonts can change) - OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?

  • Aperture keeps quitting while uploading pictures...

    Everytime I try to upload pictures into aperture whether theyre from my computer or a memory card aperture quits unexpectedly. It's been doing this for quite some time and I'm a bit fed up now. Any advice how to fix it? Thanks!

    I'm using version 2.1.2 of aperture and here's my computer's info(I'm assuming that's what you want):
    Model Name: MacBook Pro
    Model Identifier: MacBookPro4,1
    Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2.6 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 6 MB
    Memory: 4 GB
    Bus Speed: 800 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: MBP41.00C1.B00
    SMC Version: 1.28f1
    and what d'you mean by "Any special reason that you are using an old flaky OS version?" if you said it because it said my OS was 10.5.3, that wasn't updated. I didn't realize it was wrong, so my OS is actually 10.5.6. Sorry about the confusion.
    Thanks for the help!

  • IMail keeps quitting while uploading a message?

    When I open iMail i get the spinning beach ball and then it quits.  It seems to be that it is trying to load a specific message and I don't know how to clear that one message and let the others still load. Any help?

  • Message: iWeb quit unexpectedly while using the SFWordPRocessing plug-in.

    Ol' Toad are you out there - I'm in trouble again??
    Did lots of work to website recently - having no problems but yesterday all sorts of things started happening when I tried to publish. At one time my account bar came up bright blue and solid telling me it was full and urging me to buy more space (Previously it was showing 9GB remaining) Then my password kept getting randomly rejected other times no problem. Now I get this message every time I try to publish: "iWeb quit unexpectedly while using the SFWordPRocessing plug-in"
    Happens if I try to publish entire site or changes only, on mobile me or a local folder
    I turned off last night and safe booted this morning but same thing is happening and NOW something else has happened - all pages are black- I am getting a message that "an error occurred while trying to open this page" - all fonts are missing and that I need to add all images and movies to the document again. This is MAJOR work - what has happened?
    I am working in iWeb 9 3.0.2 please advise as soon as possible Thanks JAckie

    That's a well known problem that has a couple of solutions:
    iWeb & iWork: Applications may suddenly quit after updating to Mac OS X v10.6.2

  • IWeb quit unexpectedly while using the SFWordprocessing plugin after 10.6.6

    installed snow leopard OS X 10.6.6 so I could run Pixelmator. opened up iWeb and was tooling around with a 2nd website as to not alter my current website. I added in a imovie and played around with a pg before closing, pretty sure I did not save it just closed it down..... when I went to open back up..... I get the above saying "iWeb quit unexpectedly while using SFWordprocessing plugin. I fallowed the path to the file that was having issues but I have no idea what to do, I have folder that say MAC OS and others under the new 10.6.6
    I tried to locate the file and do as I read online by erasing the plug but didnt work? I shut down and opened in safe mode restarted as well so it's not the Font issue......
    I never backed up my MAC and erased the disk fore installing OS X 10.6.6 So not sure what to do??
    I was going to rebuild my entire site from scratch but would idealy like to restore the original but I can't even open up iweb??
    HELP PLEASE!!!

    Stuart ~ Welcome to the discussions.
    "I was having this same problem after installing Snow Leopard. After exhaustive research, I disovered that deleting your iWeb preferences file will solve this issue.
    Open your User Folder, then Library/Preferences (you will NOT find this file in your HD Library/Prferences folder - you must be in your user folder). Find the file named "com.apple.iweb.plist" Delete the file by dragging to Trash. Restart you comupter." (Source)

  • IWeb quit unexpectedly while using EyeTV MPEG support plugin

    Despite uninstalling and reinstalling both iWeb and Eyetv I cannot seem to resolve this issue/conflict. I am using the latest versions of both programmes.
    Can anyone suggest a solution? Is anyone experiencing the same problems?

    iWeb quit unexpectedly while using the SFWordProcessing plugin Symptoms:
    After updating to Mac OS X v10.6.2, iWeb and iWork applications may quit unexpectedly.
    Products Affected
    Numbers '09, Keynote '09, iWork '09, iWeb '09
    Resolution
    This issue may be resolved by removing the font database. To do this:
    Important: If you use Font Book to manage your fonts, you will need to open Font Book after step 3. Font Book library information will be restored. However, the state of whether fonts are active or disabled will be lost. You will need to correct this manually.
    1. Shut down your computer.
    2. Start up your computer while holding down the Shift key. This starts your computer in Safe Mode and removes the font database.
    3. Restart your computer.
    4. Open the application that quit unexpectedly (iWeb, Keynote, Pages, or Numbers).

  • DB Connect Load - "Unknow error while uploading data from the DB Table"

    Hi Experts,
    We have our BI7 system connected to Oracle DB based third party tool. The loads are performing quite well in DEV environment.
    I would like to know, how we transport DB Connect datasources to Quality systems? Any different process to be followed for DB Connect datasources?
    At present the connections between BI Quality and the third party quality systems are established. We transported the DataSource from BI DEV system to BI quality system, but on trigerring an infopackage we are not able to perform loads. It prompts - "Unknow error while uploading data from the DB Table".
    Also on comparing the DataSources in DEV system and Quality system there are no fields in "Proposal" tab of datasource in Quality system. Also I cannot change or activate Datasource in Quality system as we dont have change access in quality.
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Abhijit

    Hi,
    Sorry for bumping an old thread ....
    Did this issue get ever get resolved?
    I am facing the same one. The loads work successfully in Dev. The transport for DBConnect DS also moved in successfully.
    One strange this is that DB User for dev did not automatically change to db user from quality when I transported the DBConnect datasource. DBCon DS still shows me the DB User from Dev in Quality system
    I get "Unknown Error" whenever I trigger the data package.

  • Is it possible in BAPI to ignore a reqd field in table while uploading data

    Dear SAP Guru's,
    A GL account had "allow posting without tax code" unchecked, which meant that tax code had to be specified in order to post balances/data in that GL account.
    But during cutover, while uploading balances using BAPI, the conversion team was able to load the balances into the GL account without specifing tax codes to such GL accounts.
    Is there such a posibility in BAPI to change the code to ignore a required field during data load??If so what is it?

    No, sorry, I mean I copied the data vector (model.getDataVector()) to an other vector, not the model. And the problem is that the serialized data did not reflect the changes if I just change vecor values, so this is why I reinstantiated the full model. I think this is rather a java io issue, not a swing issue, it seems any object I serialize will not be refreshed if I just change some attributes in it and not the full variable. Can this be true?
    On the othe hand
    table.setAutoCreateColumnsFromModel( false );
    quite simplified my framework, which is great!
    The old framework looked like this:
    public BaseTblModel resetModel() {
    removeListeners(tm);
    removeListeners(tb);
    tm = new TrackTblModel();
    tb.setModel(tm)
    reinstallEditors(tb)
    addListeners(tm);
    addListeners(tb);
    return tm;
    Now with table.setAutoCreateColumnsFromModel( false ); it looks like as simple as:
    public BaseTblModel resetModel() {
    tm = new TrackTblModel();
    tb.setModel(tm)
    return tm;
    So it would be better If I could leave out this step as well, because I do it just because of the mentioned serialization problems.

  • IWeb quit on me.....

    While launching iWeb 3.0.1, it would just about to open then this pops up...
    "iWeb quit unexpectedly while using the SFWordProcessing plugin."
    I was using it all afternoon. Worked just fine. I stopped for a hour or so, went back to work on a site, no go. Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Pat

    Pat ~ This may help:
    Go to Finder -> HomeFolder -> Library
    Move entire folder "Caches" to desktop
    Restart iWeb and publish
    It may work now
    You can now delete "Caches" folder in desktop.

  • IWeb quits at half the preparation of the files when publishing the whole site

    SOS ! After having saved my site on a local folder, I can't publish anymore my whole site through iWeb to FTP. iWeb quits when arriving at half the preparation of the files for publication. At one moment I had the message "Insufficient memory" (?!?). My site www.yesicannes.com is now big enough after one year of reports published with many pictures, but before I published my site on a local folder, I had no problem publishing frequent updates. But as I published on a local folder, I have to publish again the whole site and iWeb stops all the time before the publication. Any help please ?
    [email protected]

    I was referring to the group of links on the first page and other pages:
    but now realize that's not the part of your site you're referring to.
    I'm not sure how you have your magazine site organized. Based on just what i've seen on the first page of the magazine page you could put all of the December pages in it's separate site and link to the site as you link to the pages only they are in a separate sitel
    To split the sites, say by month, make a copy of your domain file and name it December.sites2.  Open that domain file and delete all of the pages from it except those associated with December.  Then make another copy of the full domain file and delete all files except those for November.  That should reduce the size of each domain file down to a more reasonable size.
    You could do this all locally, i.e. publishing to a folder on your hard drive,  while leaving your online site untouched until you've got it worked out. However you will have to publish them to your server so that you can get the hyperlinks between sites established.  You can do this by giving the sites names, i.e. December, etc. and non with the same name as your current site.  Once you have the new site(s) up and running to your satisfaction change the current site so that the magazine files are not in it's domain file and the link to the magazine
    points to the new magazine site.  You'll see what I mean and can refine the concept to fit what you need.  I have a family site that has nearly 80 pages, each of which is a separate site.  So when I finish with a page (nearly all are never edited once they are published) I can put that domain file aside (but backed up) and not have to deal with it.
    You can lay it out graphically on paper to get an idea how you will want to separate and group the pages.

  • IPhoto shuts down while uploading from my camera

    I have loaded pics from that camera before. Now, shuts down while uploading. So, I closed Iphoto and tried again. Same. Checked for updates. I opened Iphoto without the camera attached and it wants to upload the same pics. I try, and it quits.
    On a side note, Last night I could not print. It did not see the printer. Checked the printer with a PC. Works like a champ.
    Thanks,
    Bud

    Bud,
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
    Look just inside your Home/ Pictures/ iPhoto Library folder for a folder named "Importing." If you see it, drag it out to the desktop. Launch iPhoto and see if that clears up the attempt to import. Use the Finder to look inside the Importing folder - if it has files you need in your library you can go ahead and import them.
    Warning: Do not make any other changes to the items inside the iPhoto Library folder from the Finder, as damage to your library can result. If you don't see an "Importing" folder, then leave everything alone and report back.
    Regards.

  • IWeb quits unexpectantly

    I published a website successfully using FTP > went back and made some changes and now the site crashes during processing always at the same point - or even when I just select the page that iWeb stops on when processing. This particular page was not one that I made changes. The error is "iWeb quit unexpectantly while using the SFWordprocessing plug in". I have tried reloading the app software - deleting the iweb cache and iweb library file. I hesitate to mention that i had previously installed a trial version program called little_snitch which intercepts all outgoing web transmission which included some from iweb - which i allowed. I have since uninstalled this program but believe that i have some legacy issues related to this program. How can I check my system to see if there are any leftover unwanted plug ins that might be causing interference - or is this error a simtom of something else?

  • IPhoto cards: "An error occurred while uploading one of your files."

    Hey, all.
    I've been trying to print some cards via iPhoto (version 6.0.6) but, while some are successful on the first attempt, others just keep generating the following error message no matter how many times I try them: "An error occurred while uploading one of your files."
    I'm at a loss. They assemble fine. They connect fine. They transfer fine. Then I just get this irritating message over and over and over...plus my credit card company keeps calling about "unusual activity" (which would be the multiple "pending" charges for the same dollar amount that each of these tries generate).
    I've tried searching these forums and, while others seem to have had this problem, I've yet to read an actual solution.
    And I've tried contacting Apple but they've been, in a word, useless. Polite, but useless.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    like, say, panning the image
    What do you mean by "panning"? The only time I've heard this term is with video, referring to moving the camera from right to left. So, if you can explain how what you mean by this it might help.
    While there are reports on this forum about folks having issues uploading, compared to the sheer volume of photo orders Apple process it's quite a small amount, and certainly not enough to suggest a systemic fault.
    And I'd already tried removing the pictures and cards from iPhoto, then halving the pictures' size (MB) in Photoshop, then recreating the whole lot from scratch. Still, no effect.
    Can you explain how you did this? What interaction have you set between iPhoto and Photoshop?
    Other than that: Start with the troubleshooting basics:
    1. Repair Permissions using Disk Utility
    2. Delete the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. You'll need to reset your User options afterwards.
    3. Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.
    4. What color profile are these images? Have they been processed in Adobe Lightroom or other software before iPhoto? What's the source of the images - Camera? Scanner? Other?
    Regards
