IWeb redirecting site to URL of deleted page

I've deleted a page (OldPage.html) and posted a new page to my .mac iWeb site. I published everything to .mac, but now when I go to my homepage (e.g. web.mac.com/user) it redirects to web.mac.com/user/OldPage.html and gives a 404 error. How do I get it to correctly redirect to my new page?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure that it is not just a local issue by clearing your browser cache and trying with another browser. Also you can republish using Republish All from the menu.

i have numerous iweb 08 sites, each with 2-3 pages. if I were to re-arrange the sites so that they are in alpha. order, will this change their url? I mean, it seems like it shouldn't, but before i start messing around with things, thought I'd ask the experts. :o) thanks!

Better ask in the iWeb forum.
Answer : inspector > first icon from the left > uncheck 'Display navigation menu'
For future reference, also look at the other icons.

IWeb quits when I try to delete a corrupted page.

iWeb v. 1.1.2 running on OSX 10.5.1.
I want to delete a corrupted page, but iWeb quits every time I try to select it.
I have already been into Home>Library>Application Support>iWeb>Domain.Sites and deleted photos. Have checked Fonts and deleted duplicates, but suspect error is in the type somewhere. All other pages work, but need to delete this one before I can republish. iWeb also quits when I try to re-publish. Help very much appreciated.

I don't know about that panel you are talking about.
what I do is RIGHT CLICK, INTERACTIVE, NEW HYPERLINK, and a window pops up, where I paste the address (images).
Where says URL I paste the complete address that the "sub page" gives me.
Is that correct? (for the main page of the wabepage works correctly)

What happens if I delete a site in iweb? site still on the web? system?

B/c of my various issues i'm having since upgrading iweb, I created two test sites on iweb09. I was able to upload them to the web and to a folder.
I deleted both. Later, I created another test site with the same name (site 2). I noticed this one was acting weird.
I'm wondering what happens to the sites after they are deleted.
1. Are they available on the web?
2. Are they somewhere else on my system that I should make sure to delete?

Deleting sites inside iweb does not have any effect on what has been published on a server or to a folder on your local drive. It just changes what is in iWeb's domain file.

Trellis Site Builder help needed!!! Accidentally deleted page!!!

I accidently deleted an entire page on the site I was creating. Is there any way to restore it without redoing the entire page???? I connected to my site vie Fetch on my mac but don't see the deleted page there. Help?????????????????????

Unfortunately once you have deleted a page it has been removed and is not recoverable by Verizon or Trellix. If you look at the the Help for Site Builder, and under "All Topics- Working with Pages- Delete a page" it states,
Delete a page:
Note: The deletion is not confirmed. Make sure that you want to delete the page before clicking "Delete".

Once I publish my site with a web hosting site can I still edit and update the site in Muse? Can I add and delete pages to the site?

Very confused about publishing the Muse site. It sound like I won't be able to edit a lot of it once it is published. I need to be able to add and delete pages and edit the content on existing pages over time. It is saying that the temporary version of the site will delete after 30 days. Am I misunderstanding?

It sounds like you didn't upload the css files folder that Muse generates. There is also scripts file, assets file/images file that Muse generates

I need to make my iweb web site become the web site for my company www.tailormadeevent.com. I contacted my hosting company for the cname and they told me I would have to authorize an ftp transfer. I am totally confused and cannot even find an ask a question section on the support site. Someone please help!

You have to contact the company who you registered your domain name with and ask them to transfer that name to the server that you upload your website files to.
I would call this a domain name transfer.

How do I delete pages temporarily from my website, but still save them in iWeb 2008, so I can re-use them later ?
Kay.

There are two ways:
1 - go to the Inspector/Page/Page and uncheck the "Include page in navigation menu" checkbox. This will keep the page with the site but it won't be available thru the navbar.

Not exactly what you are asking for, but if you are creating the link then you could add "?Source=" to the URL.

Minimum Browser/OS Requirements for Viewing iWeb '08 sites??

Up until yesterday the only problem I'd seen viewing my site was a PC user who got a very small slideshow, about 1/3 the normal size. It was an entry level el cheapo laptop so I wrote it off to that.
Yesterday I tried to show a friend my site and it didn't display correctly. The first problem was the Nav bar displayed as a vertical bulleted list. Worse yet on pages with the new photo albums there was no content. Just the masthead and title. No albums. This was a Mac running OS X 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3. This I could understand. We moved to a Mac running OSX 10.4.3 and Safari 2.0 and it was no better. Both had the latest Java version on them. Now I can see possibly not working under Safari 1,3 and possibly OSX v10.3.9, But 10.4.3 is not that old.
I would like to put a notice on my site of the minimum browser requirements to correctly view the site on a Mac or PC. I looked in the various Read Mes and on the Apple Site and didn't see this information. Has anyone seen a list of the minimum requirements needed to properly view an iWeb '08 site and it's new features?

Google finding iWeb mobileme site

I have an iWeb mobileme site and a separate domain name linked. Google can't find it.
Does a site have to be hosted separately for this to happen?

In terms of SEO, iWeb sites aren't that different from any other site. It's slightly more challenging to accomplish some things, but for the most part, you can nail all of the important on-page optimizations on iWeb that you could if you were to have an HTML/CSS website.
But anyways, if your site isn't commercial and traffic isn't a big issue for you, then you don't really need to worry about SEO or hosting. If you want to be found to some degree, ie. typing your site URL into Google, then you just need to create and submit an XML Sitemap and you're good to go.
