IWeb results in processer spiking

Hi
I own a MacBook core duo 1,83 ghz. The Macbook was purchased in september 2006. I've had absolutely NO problems with it, until recently.
Whenever I launch iWeb (regardless of the number of other programs running) after a few minutes the program doesn't answer and the MacBook launches into a state where it's using 80-100 % processor power. As soon as I close iWeb it calmes down again and everything is normal.
This happens everytime I start iWeb.
I've been using iWeb for more than ½ a year without problems, but now all of the sudden I can't even update my web-page (www.funkya.dk).
Can anyone help me? Or du you have any helpful advice?
Thank you
Anders

I have the same "problem"...
I usually quit everything else while iWEB is trying to open. Then wait patiently for a couple minutes. Once it is open, everything seems to settle down and I can reopen web browers, etc.

I'm not sure on a Mac, but when I have this issue, I simply kill the thread (task-manager/processes/select the process, kill thread)
I have had no ill effects doing this.
It is my belief, it is the cloud, since they have a dcc connection, you can disconnect from the cloud, close everything, and the cloud is still connected to you. This is a feature of their update process I suppose.(speculation)  Additionally, I remember reading somewhere this issue was due to applying administrative permission at the instigation of the installation. (which I do allow *some* trusted companies to have this so updates can be applied during my downtime. )
I have never had any overt issues after killing the thread and I have done that many times.
    Hope this helps

  • CO-PA: Result analysis process

    Hi COPA Guru,
    1) Will Result analysis post WIP for FI posting or it only calculate the figure?
    2) Is it Result analysis always necessary before settlement?
    Thanks,
    Kick

    Hi,
At period-end, you can calculate WIP using Individual or Collective settlement.
The following activities relating to WIP nneds to be done at period-end:
    1) Allocation of Overheads to Production/Process Orders at planned rates
    2) Actual Price calculation (T-Code - KSII)
    3) Revaluation of Production/Process Orders (T-Code -CON2)
    4) Change Cut-off period for WIP (KKA0)
This is required to prevent the system overwriting the WIP calculations already posted till the previous period.
    5) WIP Calculation (KKAX/KKAO)
This only calculates the WIP but does not post to FI.
The system calculates WIP based on the status of the Production/Process Orders. WIP is calculated on all Prod/Process Orders which do not have status DLV (Delivered) or TECO(Technically complete)
    6) Variance calculation (KKS1/KKS2)
The system calculates Variances based on the status of the Production/Process Orders. Variances are calculated on all Prod/Process Orders which have status DLV (Delivered) or TECO(Technically complete)
    7) Settlement of Production/Process orders (CO88/KO88)
The system posts the WIP & the Variances calculated in 5 & 6 above.
Once the status of the Orders change to DLV or TECO, system will reverse the WIP postings made in previous periods.
    To answer your specific questions:
Result Analysis is the WIP calculation (KKAX/KKAO), which only calculates the WIP but does not post to FI.
Result analysis is always necessary before settlement.
    Regards,
    Assign points if useful.

  • Pending messages in queue consume cache and result slow processing

    Hi All
I have one stand alone java application which is consumer of one weblogic JMS queue.
What my application does, it take big messages in to xml format and convert it in to small chunk of xml using XSLT.
Here I am struggling with one major problem when I sent 10 messages all together all messages went in to pending queue and as application process only one messages at a time, there for other messages waste the cache and processing become slow.
If I send same 10 messages one by one after completion of last messages total time to process 10 messages is very less then compare to if I sent all together.
Is there any web logic setting I can do so only one messages goes in to pending queue.

    Ali,
    How about this:
    142# imsimta qm dir | grep '^ *[0-9]' | wc -l
14I don't know that it's significantly better, but "qm" generates only a single line of output per message whereas "cache" provides like 10/message.

  • 8.1 system process spiking cpu, disk, and network utilization.

    Hi all,
After the most recent update to 8.1(I believe it was Mon 5/19/2014,) my laptop has been giving control to another program for about half a second, and then returning it to me. If I am typing, nothing comes up during that
moment, the menu bar changes visually, then it quickly reverts. This is more annoying than malicious. After some digging I found that cpu, disk, and network all spike at the same time, about 5 seconds apart. Here's what I've gathered:
Task Manager: Under the process tab, Windows Problem Reporting,(under background processes), pops in and out when the problem occurs. This is EXTREMELY odd as I've disabled the Windows Error Reporting service. Under the performance tab, The spikes are all
concurrent and similar in appearance, as shown on the graphs.
Services: When I *stop* the Windows Error Reporting service I get: "Windows could not stop the Windows Error Reporting service on local computer. The service did not return an error. This could be an internal
Windows error or an internal service error. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator." So I have *disabled* it.
Resource Monitor: I find multiple instances of WerFault.exe using different pids. They are under network activity and tcp connections, all pointed at 157.56.141.101. A quick look-up revealed that this address is registered to Microsoft.
Wireshark: My machine is initiating a TCP 3-way handshake to the above mentioned IP address, originating from random port 50379 and destined for port 443. Using TLSv1.2, I see a key and cipher change, an encrypted handshake, and then appliction data being
transferred. The conversation ends with a 3-way goodbye, BUT immediately after the fin ack, my machine sends a rst ack and the conversation begins again. Ad nauseam.
Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. I feel like my machine has the literal hiccups. I've run Avast and MalwareBytes to eliminate malicious software. Both came up clean. I have no issues detected
in Action Center. The most recent thing I've done was install HP drivers for my PhotoSmart D110a. I have uninstalled both the drivers and software from HP. To be honest, I am completely over Windows 8. I feel like I've had nothing but problems with it. Way
too much going on with it. I'd rather have few features that work, than a million that are sub par in every sense of the phrase. End rant. If you need any more data or information from my end, please let me know. Will be more than happy to help you help me.
Thanks in advance for your time.
    Bryan
p.s. I had to delete the screenshots due to my account not being verified and I can't figure out how to verify being that it doesn't ask for my email. In doing so, the text has been resized. Apologies in full.

I figured it out. I didn't look in event viewer. The issue was Asus Smart Gesture was crashing and restarting and then crashing again. This caused Error reporting to constantly send the issue. I entered the asus folder, ran the uninstall.bat, and re-installed
    it. Solved it immediately.

I can guess it's interface manager. The debug ifmgr all command does not display any output. I don't have any timers set to 15 seconds, and am still looking through defaults, and have not found any. ARPs are every 10 seconds.
Any idea what is causing this?
Also, where i can find out exactly what this task does?

    this is normal.
The interface stats are downloaded every 15 sec by the supervisor.

  • Temporaray error in Result processing of Workitem .

    Hi All,
I have a strange problem where the event to start a workflow is getting trigerred but the Workflow itself is not starting.
    This is related to SAP-ISU.
We perform a forced move-in of a BP (BP = B) into a site where another BP (BP = A) was residing. This means :
    a) First BP = A will forcefully move-out from site. (Move-Out WF triggers - This happened & it got successfully completed).
    b) BP = B will now move-in to the site. (Here the Move-in event got triggered but the Move-in WF did not ).
The Event which listens for 'Move-In Event created' is getting triggered resulting in creation of Workitem 'E'  (Work Item that Waits for an Event (Wait Step)).
When I check the Step details history I get the following :
    a) Temporary Result in processing of work item <>.
    b) Returm message from workitem <> within a closed component.
    c) Workitem <> is locked by user WF-BATCH.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rohit

    Hello,
Did the workflow continue by itself? If not, did you restart it from SWI2_DIAG?
Sometimes you get temporary errors, they can look after themselves most times.

  • Print process deadlock

    Hi All,
    <br/>
<br/>We are now facing some problems on our smartform printing programs, sometimes some of the smartform programs look getting stuck, from SM50, the processing time is endless, and from the detailed tracing log, there are repeated messages like below for every ONE MINUTE:
    <br/>I  WARNING: MtxLock 0x70000000636197c rrol0046 owner=33 deadlock ?
    <br/>
<br/>I've searched the forum and also did google and SAP notes but can not get useful information match with my error, so could anyone please help to analyse what exact cause of this problem? Any suggestions is highly appreciated.
    <br/>
<br/>The smartform program itself is simple and correct, just has one header and several items and uses normal SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME and CALL FNAME to do the print work, in most of time it works correct, but sometimes it just has problem and then the deadlock error occurred. I guess maybe it's because user tried to print too fast than the capability of the printer and then user canceled the job, then in some situations, the upcoming printing jobs get blocked and then get stuck, but it's just a guess, i've no proof to identify it.
    <br/>
<br/>Here I attached the full trace log, hope someone could give me a idea, thank you very much!

    Hi Sitarama,
    <br/>
<br/>Thanks very much for your fast reply. Yes, the smartforms are custom-built. Besides the deadlock error, there still has some errors in SP01 says "Could not pass request to host spool system". But it previews wonderfully in SP01. The detailed SP01 error log is like below:
    Print request processing log
Errors occurred processing this print request
Error during print request output. l_rc = 99
    There may be no printout

What do you mean parallel processing on table level? The smartforms extract data from different SAP tables and then transfer to smartform interface, then they can added in form pages. Do you think this results parallel processing towards tables?
    <br/>
Thank you and hope to hear more from you.
    Best Regards,
    Jeff

@ Jonh Hammer1, "If you have another Intel Mac around or a bootable backup on an external drive, boot the Mac that's having trouble from that other Mac/backup and install the 10.6.8 Combo Updater from there."
I just had a live apple trouble shoot terminate for me and the tech about to do exactly that, i called them back and they had 100% reversed their advice stating very clearly that overwriting the OS could cause more problems, then adviced that a entire forced install of all the computer's firmware is required. just thought i mention that your advice says to do exactly what apple advice not to do...PEACE

  • How to stop message processing based on validation?

    Hello experts,
I have a requirement to stop message processing in the graphical mapping based on validation results. Here is the scenario - messages are translated using graphical mapping and sent to the target system. An RFC lookup will be done to ECC to determine if the data in the message is good. If the lookup returns a negative result, message processing should be stopped right there.
I guess we can throw an exception from the mapping to force a failure and stop further processing, but that will cause the message to show up as failed on SXMB_MONI and cause alert emails to be sent out in PROD. Another option will be to supress creation of the root node itself, but I think the message will then fail in the subsequent "call adapter" step if the target schema has a min occurence of 1 for the root node (as in the case of IDocs).
Is it possible to do it without using BPM?
    Thanks,
    Michelle

    Hi Michelle,
If your requirement, to stop message processing without sending an alert?
If yes, then you can have a alert rule, not to trigger alerts on a failure (And to raise an exception based on the result from RFC loookup).
If your requirement is not to make the message fail, then you have to go for the ccBPM route.

  • Processing Binary files with Mapping NOT (always) possible ??

    Hello All,
I need your help solving this strange behaviour of XI.
I am developing a (image)file to (image)file interface with a simple mapping but XI is giving unpredictable results.
Processing the same inputfile e.g. 10 times after each other: results in 6 times OK and 4 times errormessage in SXMB_MONI. After restarting the 4 errormessages sometimes 1 or 2 msg are suddenly processed fine ??!!
The given error is always: "Parsing an empty source. Root element expected!". But why are the
other 6 messages are processed OK ? Why not all the 10 messages returns with error ??
    My scenario is :
    1) File FTP Sender: pick up image-files (.gif) from FTP-server (30.000 per day)
    2) XI mapping: A) via Java program convert file into Base64, otherwise no mapping is possible at all
    B) via UDF fill few outputfields only using the inputfilename. There is no need to go "inside" the
inputfile; just get the filename using Dynamic Configuration.
    3) File FTP Sender: After message processing store the inputfile on the SAP filer in a particular
directory derived from the filename. Creating the directory and moving the file is done by an OS script in the sender file adapter.
    4) XI Receiver HTTP: after succesfull processing the payload is filled with the correct fields.
The cause of error is (sometimes) using the DynamicConfiguration in the UDF, but a few fields must be filled using the inputfilename.
Has someone experienced this before or an other solution/idea to make this scenario stable and robust ??
    Regards,
    Jack

    Jack,
I may not have understood your scenario in full, however, an alternate solution could be to write a custom XI module and attach it to the file adapter. You could access the file name inside the module as well(See SAP Note 819761).
You should get a lot of articles/blogs in SDN on custom XI module creation and deployment to the server via NWDS. Give a thought on these lines as well.
Are you using any third party APIs to base64 encode your files, If so i beleive you will have to include them in the librarries in NWDS and deploy them to the XI server.
    Thanks

  • Process Multiple Files in PSE 7

    I'm running PSE7.
I'd like to take a group of images (jpeg's) and do the following to them:
    Run QuickFix on them.
Save them as a new file with the name based on the original name plus some extra information.
Resize the jpeg's to a size suitable for the web. Or possibly a little larger.
It would really be great if:
I could use a 'tag' to select the images I want to process.
The tags on the new images are the same as the originals.
The new files are written into the same folder as the original. Even if multiple folders are needed due to
the tags bringing in images from multiple folders.
The new images would become part of a version set or stack along with the originals.
    Well, that's what's I'm interested in doing.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciatted!

The Process Multiple Files command applies settings to a folder of files. If you have a digital camera or a scanner with a document feeder, you can also import and process multiple images. (Your scanner or digital camera may need an acquire plug‑in module that supports actions.)
When processing files, you can leave all the files open, close and save the changes to the original files, or save modified versions of the files to a new location (leaving the originals unchanged). If you are saving the processed files to a new location, you may want to create a new folder for the processed files before starting the batch.
Note: The Process Multiple Files command does not work on multiple page files.
Choose File > Process Multiple Files.
Choose the files to process from the Process Files From pop‑up menu:
    Folder
Processes files in a folder you specify. Click Browse to locate and select the folder.
    Import
Processes images from a digital camera or scanner.
    Opened Files
    Processes all open files.
Select Include All Subfolders if you want to process files in subdirectories of the specified folder.
For Destination, click Browse and select a folder location for the processed files.
If you chose Folder as the destination, specify a file-naming convention and select file compatibility options for the processed files:
For Rename Files, select elements from the pop‑up menus or enter text into the fields to be combined into the default names for all files. The fields let you change the order and formatting of the components of the filename. You must include at least one field that is unique for every file (for example, filename, serial number, or serial letter) to prevent files from overwriting each other. Starting Serial Number specifies the starting number for any serial number fields. If you select Serial Letter from the pop-up menu, serial letter fields always start with the letter “A” for the first file.
For Compatibility, choose Windows, Mac OS, and UNIX® to make filenames compatible with the Windows, Mac OS, and UNIX operating systems.
Under Image Size, select Resize Images if you want each processed file resized to a uniform size. Then type in a width and height for the photos, and choose an option from the Resolution menu. Select Constrain Proportions to keep the width and height proportional.
To apply an automatic adjustment to the images, select an option from the Quick Fix panel.
To attach a label to the images, choose an option from the Labels menu, then customize the text, text position, font, size, opacity, and color. (To change the text color, click the color swatch and choose a new color from the Color Picker.)
Select Log Errors That Result From Processing Files to record each error in a file without stopping the process. If errors are logged to a file, a message appears after processing. To review the error file, open with a text editor after the Batch command has run.
Click OK to process and save the files.

  • Dead links in iWeb site - IE only

I have just published my first iWeb site: www.envisioningchange.ca
All seems to work great in Safari and Firefox (though plug-in for social media sharing "Add This" is down right now), however many of the links, some of them in the text (not just nav links) are dead when viewed in Internet Explorer. I have searched for a solution to this on various forums and have not found anything specific to this issue.
    Anybody able to help?
    Many thanks!

    Hi Roddy
Thanks so much for the replies and the super informative links! Unfortunately, following the instructions to insert drop shadows before putting images into iWeb resulted in a slightly different appearance and alignment to the image...one I'm not totally pleased with. If it's the only thing that works, I may go that route. The thing is, each page seems to behave differently, so I am unconvinced that this is the problem, since each page has an image with drop shadow, but some have active links and others do not.
I would rather not watermark the images for a few reasons. I'm actually rather pleased with the transparent overlay to prevent right-click downloading.
I checked the site on IE this morning and did not see any of the text mis-alignment you mentioned. Any chance you could send a screenshot?
Problem continues to be a mix of link issues, including seemingly randlom links that are completely dead (both external and internal links), some with only half the link active (need to move mouse over the whole text to find an active part).
One thing I did notice this morning is that as the home page was loading the image, the split second before the image was up, the links were active. As soon as the image was up, the links were dead. And this was after I removed the drop shadow on that page!
Any further thoughts would be most welcome!

  • Correlation in Asynchronous BPEL process

I have thoroughly read docs & various blogs for this correlation concept and I am developed the bpel process without any compilation error. But when I execute, all the instances are waiting in receive activity with message *"Waiting for "processResponse" from "AsynchBPELProcess3.AsynchBPELProcess1.PartnerLink1". Asynchronous callback."*
    My scenario goes like this, I have three simple Asynchronous BPEL process with flow A --> B --> C i.e;
step 1) client invokes process A with initial inputs
step 2) process A does some assignment and invokes process B and then followed by a receive activity to receive response back directly from process C
step 3) process B simply invokes process C after some assign activity
step 4) process C do actual task for computation -- this is from where i am expecting output result at process A
Done correlation at process A's recieveInput activity & in additionally added a receive activity to get response.
Flows works as expected....everything if fine. But only at the time of returning the output result back to process A ..this waits for long time and after some time it becomes stale.
    Thanks.

Yes you can achieve this. There are many ways to get this, it depends on your design. I didn't try the correlation sets.
If i were you I would like to use the message header properties of the JMS queue. Set an MsgID for the request message and use the same MsgId to listen the response. You have to ask the partner to listen to your request message and store the KsgID and set the same MsgID to the header properties in response message.
Let me know if you have any questions.
    Thanks
    Ramana.
