Iweb text wont change colour

Hi guys, I'm new here. I've designed my site with Iweb, and it looks good within Iweb. However, when i publish it and visit it, all the text cannot be seen. The background is black, and when you highlight the page you can see the text, which tells me the text is there, but in black. It is blue and other colors within iweb, any ideas why this isnt showing in the browser?
Thanks

What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand?

  • *HELP* TXT wont change colour

I am needing help with dreamweaver, when i highlight part of
text to change it's colour it wont change.
I find i can only change it to one colour by changing it in
the HTML but i want to change via the properies panel and have txt
    different colours etc.
I have turned off the CSS syles but it is still not working.
What is the setting on my page that wont let me change it
    manually???
    THANKS!

Well, color would be something you set with CSS. So, you'll
    want to turn
    that on.
It sounds like you might not be familiar with HTML and CSS.
    It's going to be
a challenge using Dreamweaver if you don't understand the
    basics of those,
    unfortunately.
For specific help, give us a specific example of the kind of
    text you want
to color and we can give you some code to use.

  • 3d Text not changing colour in Photoshop CS6 Extended-Any Thoughts?

    Hi,
I'm trying 3d text for the 1st time in Photoshop Cs6 Extended and thought I'd post my query on here as I've always found people to be really friendly and helpful.
The problem is every time I create new text and and change the colour it's always showing up as black. Nothing I do seems to alter this. Someone suggested a memory problem but I really don't know
Any solutions would be greatly appreciated

Did a complete reinstall and that seemed to allow me to change colours.Interestingly when I did the offered upgrade it reverted back to the way it was.Although I can't seem to see the widget(with grid) that allows me to easily move the text around. Is that in CS6? There is an example at 57 seconds here:

  • Why wont the text fill change colour?

hi there. It sounds really obvious but for some reason in adobe after effects after selecting the colour white or any other colour it doesnt change.
The fill can change to no fill from black but not any other colour. Hope thats clear.
    Thanks in advance

The text layer must either have all text selected with the text tool or the layer must be selected in the timeline with the selection tool to change the font color in the Character Pannel.
If that doesn't work, select the text layer in your timeline, press the U key twice to reveal all changed properties. If you don't see fill color then drill down until you get it and change it there.
If that doesn't work we need a screen shot with all properties of your text layer revealed.

OK, this makes no sense at all. If x+y > 5 it cannot be red and green at the same time.
Here's some simple code that would make the background of the indicator red if the result is >5 and green otherwise.
Maybe you can modify it for waht you really want. (I cannot tell.)

  • Issue with label text wont change correctly.

    Hi All,
I have an issue.  I usually program with C#, PHP, html etc.  trying to learn Adobe Flash now so i downloaded the trial version which has 30 days trial.  tried to create and follow the tutor for click ball which all of the code is the same but it doesnt work.
I triple check the code and its all right but it still not working.  so i commented out all of the code and has a simple code of changing the text of the label.  i set the text to "abcdefg" and but it only show "cdef".  i expanded the width of the label so width is not the issue.  trying to search for the limitation of the trial but i dont see any.  trying to test this before i buy it.  Does anybody know why?  again, coding is not an issue, it does change but not changing correctly.  i try to set to another value it always show partially only.  what is going on?
Thanks you for your help in advance.

Try embedding the font - might fix missing characters.
    1) Select the TextField on the Stage
    2) In Properties pane, next to font name selector, click Embed and play with the Dialog
    3) Don't forget to select suitable character ranges

  • Menu text items to change colour

    Hello.
I'm trying to use highlights on a dvd menu to get text to change colour between normal and selected mode.
When layer transparency is set to < 100% the colours are mixed. When transparency is set to 100%. the 'underlying' normal mode image can still be seen underneath
Furthermore, what Encore actually builds is different from what is displayed in the project preview.
    Confused. Thanks for any help.

First, the Encore Preview is but a rough emulation, and a test RW DVD, or doing a DVD VIDEO_TS folder for viewing in a DVD software player, will always be the best way to see what you are actually getting.
Now, what I think you are describing is the inherent limitation of Sub-picture Highlights: they are always on top of all graphics in a Button on a Menu, and are limited to 2-bit (either ON, or OFF, with zero anti-aliasing) color, but can have Transparency (the opposite of Opacity in PS). Because of these limitations, the Sub-picture Highlights will be jagged, over all other elements and limited to one of three possible colors.
You might get a better result, if you employ parts of this ARTICLE.
Good luck, and hope that something in that article helps you.

  • Unable to change colour of text

I have a simple illustrator document with some text on it.  The text is green.  I wish to add additional text to the document in the exact shade of green that the current text is in.  Believe it or not, I can't figure out how to do this.  I can select the text I want to to be green and select a colour from the swatches menu, but the shades of green available there are not the exact shade of green that I need.  I tried selecting my newly written text, click the eye dropper tool, and then clicked on my old text (which is in the shade of green that I want) but this frustratingly changes the font of my newly written text to the same font as the original text, without changing it's colour.
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.  Please be verbose in your response/instructions.  Thanks,

    I figured it out!!
So, in short.. the green color you have on the word CAR is a gradient. If you look closely you can see small bits of black around the edges of the word. Black is the original color of the text, and the green gradient is sitting on top of it as an appearance. It's a bit of a hassle that you cannot just apply a gradient color to live text but here is how you work around it.
    1. Save the green color (gradient) as a swatch by selecting the word CAR and dragging the fill icon over to your swatches panel.
    2. Next, select the text that you want to change (the word "Within"). Change it so it has no fill and no stroke.
    3. With that same word selected, open the appearance panel. In the panel flyout menu, choose Add New Fill...
    4. It will automatically choose black. Just open the fill option and choose the swatch you made it step 1.
    5. Bam! Here is your desired fill.
    6. As an extra step, if you would like to get rid of the black text that is peeping out from behind the green on the word CAR just use the Type tool and highlight the word car.
    7. In the Fill section, Click the small thumbnail of black to select it and then click the option for None (white box with red slash) to remove it.
    8. Here you go, clean lines!
I'm not sure if you meant to have a green gradient on your text, or if you just wanted one color green. Here, I've outline the solution for applying a gradient to live text and replicating the same gradient on other pieces of text.
I hope this helps solve your problem if it hasn't already been solved!

  • Change text size and colour of report values ?

    Hi,
I have a formula as part of a BEx query in version 3.5 and I'd like to make the values of this formula stand out more by either changing the text size of this one row and/or changing the colour.
I've already selected the "highlighting" option but this only changes the colour to a light blue colour.
Does anyone know if it's possible to change the text size and colour of one or more rows of a report?
    Thanks.

    HI Mark,
    Greetings.
Your requirement can be met by using exceptions. It can not change/increase the text size but it can give you color coding based on the conditions you set while creating query.
Open your query in Designer and click on exception button on the top menu bar. Define your condition on whatever key figure you want to get the color coding and execute your report.
Let me know if this is what you were looking for.
    Thanks

  • How cna I change the text and background colours in iTunes?

Can anyone tell me how I can change the text and background colours in iTunes? I am a visually impared user and my main requirement on a PC is to change the colour schemem to white text on a black background. Most software adopts the settings of your colour scheme but iTunes goes it's own and has everything on white backgrounds. I cannot read from white backgrounds (dazzle - that sort of thing). I have never used iTunes for this reason. I have always been a devotee of by far the best media player out there Musicmatch Jukebox, who allow you to edit skins in every detail. However, recently Musicmatch was taken over and users were forced to migrate to the ridiculously poor Yahoo Music Jukebox. A massive downgrade in so many ways.
I want to use iTunes but will not be able to if I cannot sort this issue out. I downloaded 7.5 before discovering that if you want to use Multi Plugin for skins you need to go back to iTunes 7.02. I've done that, but the skins available are completely pointless to my eyes. They don't change the colours of the main components, just the graphical bit at the top.
What I need to do is change the background of the main browser windows so that they are black and the text is white (you know the track lists and tree views, etc). This must be a very simple case of just changing the codes somewhere, but I can't find where. I read somewhere that you need to hack into something call ResourceDB inside a file called iTunes.jar. There is no such file on my PC. Could that be a Mac thing?
Please help someone if you can. I would like to become an iTunes user. There seems to be more music available than on Napster which I currently use.
    Thanks in advance
    Z

In my opinion, it seems that Apple has decided to sacrifice usability so that iTunes would look more like a Mac application. You are probably already aware that using Windows' built-in high-contrast settings do not work in iTunes.
I did some hacking at the resource file a while back, but I was unable to figure out how to change the color of the background. IIRC there was a resource whose description indicated it would change the background color, but when I changed the resource, nothing happened.
I was, however, able to figure out how to make the "large" font much larger (any size you want, I suppose). Will that help? See
    http://home.comcast.net/~teridon73/ituneshacks/index.html
You should provide feedback to Apple:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/
I don't think it is too harsh to call it "shameful" that Apple has chosen this design path. Where I work, we are required to make ALL applications (or any computer interface, such as a website) section 508 compliant. Of course, I'm being a bit of a hypocrite, because I've made no effort to make my website compliant. If you have trouble reading it, please let me know.

  • Hyperlinks don't change colour

I'm a real newbie with iweb, don't really understand the tech stuff. However, I made a site based on a template with some custom made texts which I made hyperlinks to the other pages. Thing is, when the mouse goes over them they don't change colour. When I made a previous experiment, on a diff template, they worked fine. The hyperlinks on the template change colour fine but not my custom ones.
Also, all the links work on the design page but when I preview in Safari, one doesn't!

Tod ~ Yes, you would have to upgrade to iWeb 2 in iLife '08. Then in Inspector's Link tab, you'll have a Format tab via which you can specify the colors of your hyperlinks. This video tutorial shows that Format tab, although its use is not demonstrated:
