IWeb update does not fix nav bar problem

The subject says it. Downloaded 2.0.1 with hope, republished and uploaded pages, but nav bar still does not appear. Only black dot. Wish I could revert to previous version.

I don't know if this will solve your problem but I had the exact same experience. I have a site which I publish to a folder and then use transmit to ftp to a server. I also have the same site published to .mac. The black dot problem was only affecting the non.mac site. After iWeb 08 update I noticed a scripts folder and a feed.xml file in the site folder which I'm sure wasn't there before??? When I uploaded this folder and file as well as the index.html file it solved my problem. I'm no expert and I'm not sure why!!! but it might help...

  • Bridge update does not fix caching problems.

    Dear Adobe,
The 5.0.1.23 update for Bridge CS6 does NOT fix the problem of constantly re-caching layered TIF files.
I originaly reported the problem here on May 16, 2012.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1007560
At that time I also submitted a bug report via photoshop.com, and received an e-mail response from Adobe support confirming the problem had been replicated in their lab and promising a fix in the next update.
I've since tracked several other reports of this bug and related cache problems.
I assume that, at best, we will have to wait another 6 months or more for the next update. How can I assure this bug will be addressed?

Thank you for this bit of information. Maybe it means I can stop the deactivations/uninstall/reinstall/reactivate cycle to try yet another solution. And hopefully, this will stop the re-caching problem with other than tif files.

  • Latest Update does not fix unresponsive settings

I have upgraded to the latest version of the Flash Player for Mac OS X Lion (v10.3.183.7) and I am still experiencing the unresponsive settings screen.  I have made sure to completely uninstalled the prior verson, reboot and install the latest version.  When I attempt to click the settings menu... it does not respond to mouse clicks.  I have read that others have updated and still have this same issue.  What is the fix??

This can normally be fixed by deleting the folders where Flash Player settings are kept.
    On Windows see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/892474
Unfortunately I do not know where these are kept on a Mac, something 'Library'...?

  • The Url History in the address bar is not working anymore. Reinstalling/Updating does not fix this. How to I get this working again?

I'm talking about the Address Bar.
For example: You type in Google and it shows www.google.com etc. Because this is in your history.
But this has stopped working since I emptied my cookies. But not my history. I also checked if my history is still there. Which it is.
And I cant find out why at all.
I'm sorry if I really can't give much info. But this is what I concluded. Seeing English ain't my native language. My google searches for this question seem to be either in the wrong direction or this is something that never happened before.

Tools>Options>Privacy - Click the drop down menu under Location Bar and set when using the location bar, suggest to - History and Bookmarks.

  • Alert the media: software update does not fix hardware flaw of droppd calls

Hard not to be sarcastic...but did anyone actually think that changing the size and number of signal strength bars would change a hardware reception issue?? Signal strength still degrades and calls still dropping with the "death grip".

  • NK1 update does not fix NG6 battery drain

Just saying the biggest and most common problem wasn't fixed. NG6 sucks the battery and NK1 doesn't improve. Hard reset / factory reset is not an option. Changing from GPS High Accuracy mode should not be required. I was running that before the update. The only thing that helps somewhat is to go to the task manager and clear the memory on the ram tab frequently.

    hi
they keep deleting my posts about that, but what helped me tremendously was simply switching off SIRI competely...
My phone died within 4-5 hours (new, clean install, the third new hardware in a row)... and since I switched off SIRI it holds the battery for over 24 hours even if I use it a lot...
told it to the Apple Store 'geniuses' today in Berlin, hopefully that info makes it into the next update.
    best

  • Recent Pandora update did NOT fix a glaring problem

The problem being when you lock your Touch (screen blanked) while playing Pandora, you'll hear about 5-10 audio dropouts per minute. The only solution for the time being is to keep the screen active (I dim mine way down to minimum). Pandora IS aware of the problem--I trust they will get us another update with that issue fixed.

You are mixing EFI and SMC and just... ranting!
Keep the temperature down, and fan speed up, to keep things running cool.

People often recommend or practice "repair permissions" when what they need is to weed the clutter in their cache folder, or 'take out the trash' or something else. Changing the oil isn't going to help if you need brake fluid (even though its usually a good part of regular maintenance).
Applying EFI update on some systems did 'break' or alter USB behavior though, so there was a lot of changes - had I known more, I might have waited even longer before applying.
luckily both systems seem to be working... knock on wood...

  • 2.1.2 update does not fix DVD Navigation issues :(

The FrontRow 2.1.2 update still doesn't fix the DVD navigation issues where sub menus on MANY DVDs are not navigable. Using the up / down keys on the keyboard or remote causes the Volume to change and not navigating the menus like it is supposed to.
This is a severe issue as it makes it impossible to play some DVDs or turn on the subtitles.

Yeah, I have experienced this as well. Ridiculous -- how could this issue not have come up in product testing by the time the software has reached version 2.0? The solution on Apple's end should be obvious. All 4 directional buttons must act only as directional commands when using a DVD, and all other functions (such as volume) can only be accessible by hitting MENU first to bring up a list of other options.
I'm all for simplicity, but this is the fault of the boneheaded 6-button Apple Remote. It requires their software to overload buttons with different commands depending on context, which is clearly an unacceptable limitation. They'll have to break down and roll out a proper remote with more discrete buttons one of these days and come to terms with the fact that shoehorning everything onto 6 buttons is not an elegant solution.

  • Latest Update does not fix Sleep when lid is closed.

I updated my Macbook Pro Retina with latest fix for Sleep + Nap. Today on my way to work, I closed the lid of the Macbook Pro, and when I got into the office, I took it out my bag and it was running extremely hot! I was surprised, as closing the lid should put it to sleep and not consume so much power. This is extremely dangerous for such an expensive laptop and should be fixed asap, this is unacceptable Apple, please fix this asap.
    I run
OSX Mountain Lion 10.8 (All UPDATES are installed)
    Parellels
    Carbon Copy
    Diablo
    No other custom software.

You're not talking to Apple here. If that's what you want to do, call AppleCare.

  • ITunes 10.4:  my screen resolution goes down to 600 p.  The iTunes update does not fix it.  PC Drivers have been updated.

    I

    Start here:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
If you have a 2G iPod. that can only go to 4.2.1. The 1G iPod can only go to 3.1.3.  I supose that you have one of those and by support, I think Apple meant that they will issue no more updates for those models.  The iPod will continue to work with iTunes.

  • Update does NOT fix External drive slowness

I ran the update hoping it would solve the slowness issue when keeping your iPhoto Library on an external drive (mine being a Time Capsule).
Well, it did not - and I may resort back to 08, that worked perfectly.

I may have misstated this. The trial of Aperture was set, I believe, to use and save the photos in their original iPhoto locations (folders) on the same drive. I also was using 'show iPhoto browser' when trying this out.
So while not using the actual library file it was still a good test of using the same amount of photos on the same drive....

  • 6.01 does not fix my interface problems

I have previosusly reported minimize/maximize problems with a dual monitor setup, and a floating control panel. (filed a bug report as well)
    See http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b6ce2e/3
    The problem is still there.

I wonder if I am the only one who has this problem. May be this is because of the way I have ID set up on two monitors:
I have a horizontal toolbox at the top of monitor 1, between the Arrange Documents dropdown and the Workspaces dropdown, above the document area.
I have a floating control panel, in the top left corner of monitor 2.
When I start Indesign, the top right corner of monitor 1 looks like this:
    http://img5.imageshack.us/my.php?image=idcs41.png
The top left corner of monitor 2 looks like this:
    http://img27.imageshack.us/my.php?image=idcs42.png
As you can see, there's a grey rectangle that runs from the toolbox on monitor 1, across to monitor 2, where it covers part of the control panel. On monitor 1, it covers the Workspace dropdown, search field, and the close/minimize buttons.
Moving the toolbox a tiny bit removes the grey rectangle, and everything becomes normal.
Besides, there is the minimize/maximize bug, when I maximize the program from a minimized state, the main program window doesn't come up, but all the panels do. I have to move the control panel to make the program window appear. Also, any other open program will stop responding until I either move the control panel, or close Indesign from the taskbar.
Could somebody try to reproduce this?

  • Creative cloud update, does not update it deletes

When trying to UPDATE Creative Cloud, it runs through the "motions, but it deletes the files out of the folder, it does not re-install anything.  This has happened the last 3 or 4 times I have tried and is becoming bloody annoying!!! the only way to "FIX" it is to completely re-install the Creative Cloud.  It is SUPPOSED to UPDATE not REMOVE/DELETE!!! ADOBE is becoming far too unreliable now and still charging me top Dollar for my membership, as there are no real alternatives and I really do need the software Adobe hold me to ransom... I have telephoned them for support in the past the told me to download CC again and re-install it.  BUT this DOES NOT FIX THE BLOODY PROBLEM!!!! no other programs have any issue on my system so it IS an Adobe flaw/fault.  I am sick of speaking to people who can hardly speak English for support I need someone who I can understand and who WILL follow up with the technicians and FIX this problem!!!

Not to really go into a bash Adobe thing but this AAM issue is actually one of the lower less problematic issues Adobe has with thier software.  Yeah it is a problem but compared to the other issues this isn't really in the top ten.
Macs.. Can't help you there sorry.  Windows guy here but if I could I would help best I could.  Could be a permissions issue like on Windows 7 64bit, maybe try permissions on the software?   Though if you can't install anything at all in the first place that would be a bigger issue.   On windows they have a help about this issue on Adobe's site but I did not see a mac version for same issue, they may have one but I really wasn't looking for mac related as I don't have mac.
Search the help knowledge base for problems installing cloud software, should find something.  Sorry couldn't be of more help.

  • Latest Lenovo Update (B6000_A442_001_020_140620_WW_WIFI ) DOES NOT FIX 4.4.2 problems

Ok so I muddled my way through installing B6000_A442_001_020_140620_WW_WIFI on my Yoga 8 and can report that it fixes none of the 4.4.2 issues reported.
-Volume rocker still upside down in one oritentation
    -Performance is still crappy
    -NETFLIX is still corrupt
    etc...
Hopefully Lenovo fixes these issues before they decide to OTA an update to us.

Even B6000_A442_001_021_140703_WW_WIFI does not fix visible errors.
Google music and google movie works with small stuck or crunch sound every 20-40 seconds. Especialy music performance is poor.
Google maps crashes. Street view is death.
Volume rocker does not switch orientation.
Lenovo guys fix it please asap. Those problems make yoga tablet very bad piece of hw.
    Thanks.
