Iweb very glitchy

i like iweb and all, i think it could be a strong application (eventually) but im noticing it has a lot of problems. for example, i just made a 4 page site each with pictures on it, when i delete the photos and replaced it with new ones, some files retained their original file names, which makes no sense. also when i was doing podcasts it would change the content of the audio to a different track i was working on, so that the file name and info, where not what the audio is! I'm using it for my job so its pretty annoying.

The links to download Aperture installers to be used with the licence key, are no longer working.
What is your current Aperture version? If you update your Aperture version to Aperture 3.5.1 from the App Store, your registration key licence will be converted to an App Store licence, bound to your Apple ID. After that, you should seeAperture at the AppStore, in the "Purchased" section. You can reinstall from there.
But before you reinstall, check for other possible problem:
The hard drive being too full- do you have at least 20GB free disk space on your system drive?
Incompatible plug-ins - are you using plug-ins that need updating?
imported media, that cannot be processed?  What does Aperture's Activity viewer show, when Aperture is stalling?
To check, if your library is the problem, create a new one. With Aperture running, use "File > Switch to Library > Other/new" to create the library.  After that, restart the system, to have a well-defined testing condition. Import a few images and see, if Aperture is working well on a new library.
If even a new library does not help, test from a new / other user account, to check, if presets or preferences in your current user library are causing that.
If it does not work in a new user account either, reinstall, but you need to be running Aperture 3.5.1 to download again from the App Store.   To reinstall, remove aperture from the applications folder to the Trash, then launch the AppStore, sign into the store from the Store menu, and downoad Aperture again from the "Purchased" page.
Compare your symptoms to the issues discussed in this thread:
Is there a memory leak in Aperture 3.5?

flash player 11 is very glitchy on ALL browsers and makes my CPU usage 100%, making all youtube and pandora or any streaming media a headache, i have a low-end but good quality Emachine with Windows 7 Sv pk. 1, AMD Athalon Processor 2650e 1.6 GHz 2GB ram 32-bit, which isn't that bad, it used to play HD videos and everything without a skip or lag, it is virus clean, and clean of any large bulky programs, the only thing that went wrong was the fact that the adobe flash updates slowly but surely made it worse, AND it will not let me roll-back to an older version anymore like it used to, so WTF is up? no one seems to have an answer for this, and it seems like ADOBE is doing everything in it's power to not let me ask this question or get it solved, maybe it's because I AM TOO SMART FOR IT AND KNOW IT'S A FAILURE. so please, anyone who actually has a degree in this field is welcome, but no BS anymore, i want answers.

The jump to FP11 was pretty significant with Stage3D. Now Flash Player has a lower level access to your computers GPU to offload playing video and 3d rendering to the GPU. However if your systems GPU isn't up to the task you really won't see that performance gain.
Enter H264 video decoding. A large segment of the Flash usage market is simply viewing video. For sites without fallback in mind (or don't mind software rendering fallback), video may suffer. Using the GPU accelerated video classes may make it difficult for your system to view playback. Disabling hardware acceleration as recommended above would revert you back to software (CPU) decoding to check if your system itself is the issue (and not all the new GPU additions). You did that yet you're still having an issue.
Just to clarify, as I have an eMachine (for accounting), your computer is very much in the "budget" margin. You have a 3 year old single core 1.6ghz AM2 CPU with 512kb of L2. That's the K8 series. This is a very underpowered, single thread loving CPU. Only the most optimized Flash sites and lower end videos (720p or below) should play, but I'm not even sure if they'll "play well". It depends on your GPU.
Also you should know they have an official list of unsupported chipsets and drivers based on many factors. Here's a list for FP11 and AIR3:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/stage3d-unsupported-chipsets-drivers-flash.html
Check the bottom of the screen to see what Flash is reporting your rendering mode is. For example, mine states:
Your gpu supports Stage3D in both Baseline and Constrained profile!
    Baseline RenderMode:
    DirectX9
    Constrained RenderMode:
    DirectX9 (Baseline Constrained)
This probably won't get better in the future for you. Flash is not a low end multimedia runtime. It does require and utilize high end hardware in a much more reliable way.

  • Very glitchy performance

I’m at the end of my tether.
Aperture has been very glitchy for more than a month. I’ve tried all of the usual rebuild / repair permissions.
I’ve deleted every preview and then rebuilt them. This took five days non stop. When it finished I tried to work on some images and hey presto up pops the spinning wheel. The Activity Monitor reports that Aperture “isn’t responding”.
I forced a quit …… after three hours of spinning wheel I shut the computer down. When I restarted and reopened I’m told that the “library needs repairing”. So here we go again.
The only things I haven’t tried is reinstalling aperture and or creating a new library.
How do I do this? I bought Aperture as  download in 2008 and can’t find the file anywhere only the license key.
Library is 4.4tb. Mac pro (2008) 14gb Ram

  • 1TB Stor.E TV is very glitchy

I bought the 1 TB Stor.E TV about a month ago, overall I am satisfied with the product but it is very glitchy.
Glitches and bugs that I have encountered:
    1. When watching most videos, a flickering thin grey bar hugs the left side of the screen.
    2. Sometimes when pausing a video, the Stor.E TV locks up and has to be completely reset
    3. Selections made withing the setup folder regarding audio and video often have to be reconfigured, as the player sets itself back to default frequently.
feel free to add your bugs and glitches to this list.
Maybe Toshiba will fix some items if they ever issue a firmware update

I just bought the 1TB unit and watched a few movies with it connected to my laptop. Shorlty afterwards, I copied soem data form my laptop onto the HDD, then used it again to watch a film. The unit started behaving odd, making lots of clicking noises and then shutting itself off. I started getting worried about the data I had copied (not backed up) and tried to copy it back to my laptop with no luck. I got a message saying use checkdisk to find out why but it crashed on me half way thru the checkdisk scan.
I'm not too please with this thing right now.

  • IPhone being very glitchy

For the last 2 days, my iPhone 4S has been being very glitchy.
    The things I'm seeing are:
Will not change wallpapers except for "Dynamic" ones
Will not launch safari (I press on the app, it stays on a blank frozen page, then crashes.)
Will not recieve texts (My other devices do)
Will not send texts that are not just words (Pictures, contacts, etc.)
Mail app will keep giving me the banner notification for a specific email every minute
I am running iOS 7.0.2 on an iPhone 4S, I know there is an update for iOS, but it says I do not have enough space.
Speaking of space, I do try to delete multiple major things in my iPhone for space, but still says "0 bytes available."
Is there anything I can do?

I ave had enoug of tis rubbis service. It was great, all working well and I loved it, then it just stopped working, it wouldn't play tracks, or it would stutter or say it wasn't available, even though I definitely downloaded these tracks and played them offline many times before. From the previous message I see americans are carged $10 a month. And I have been paying £10. Thats not cool.I am angry with how I have been ripped off, how unreliable a service it is and how there is no way I can find to contact anyone to resolve it. How, Spotify, do you think you earn my money? If you don't play the music I pay for and you aren't available to resolve issues then you don't deserve a penny of the money I actually work to earn. I now want to close my account altogeter and get a refund for the money I wasted on tis service. If anyone from spotify reads this please contact me. And shut my account down. not happy.

  • IWeb, very slow

My iWeb is extreamly slow. It is a pre-installed iLife '06 version.
I can't do anything in it. The only thing it can do, is take up CPU processes.
I have reinstalled it, but still the same thing. It is still very slow.
    Suggestions anyone?

    I have this problem too.

  • Lightroom CC for Windows seems VERY glitchy.

For example, when clicking on the command to crop, the picture goes blank for about a second before reappearing. Moving from photo to photo takes a very long time.   And my trial message says "30 days left in Lightroom Mobile trial" even though this is a Windows 7 computer.   What could cause these?  Has anyone else experienced the same?

    Hi, Northern603
There's a lot of discussion about the new Lightroom CC glitches and possible solutions in the main Lightroom forum here. Perhaps one of those discussions has a solution for your issues.

  • IWeb acting glitchy on 4.20.09

I noticed this afternoon that my iweb site is not loading properly. Pictures missing. Counter showing all different kinds of numbers. Counter showing up on internal pages. In general, strange. Happened out of the blue.
Haven't touched the site in two months. Check it all the time in both Firefox and Safari without an issue.
    iWeb '08
    Problem started late this afternoon.
Any others having the same issues?
    Thanks.

The following are the system requirements for iLIfe 09:
    iLife ’09 System Requirements
*Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor*
iMovie requires an Intel-based Mac, Power Mac G5 (dual 2.0GHz or faster), or iMac G5 (1.9GHz or faster).
GarageBand Learn to Play requires an Intel-based Mac with a dual-core processor or better.
512MB of RAM; 1GB recommended. High-definition video requires at least 1GB of RAM.
Approximately 4GB of available disk space
    DVD drive required for installation
Mac OS X v10.5.6 or later
    QuickTime 7.5.5 or later (included)
AVCHD video requires a Mac with an Intel Core Duo processor or better. Visit iMovie ’09 Camcorder Support for details on digital video device and format support.
24-bit recording in GarageBand requires a Mac OS X-compatible audio interface with support for 24-bit audio. Please consult the owner’s manual or manufacturer directly for audio device specifications and compatibility.
Some features require Internet access and/or MobileMe; additional fees and terms apply. MobileMe is available to persons age 13 and older. Annual subscription fee and Internet access required. Terms of service apply.
iPhoto print products are available in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and select countries in Europe and Asia Pacific.
GarageBand Artist Lessons are sold separately and are available directly through the GarageBand Lesson Store in select countries.
Burning DVDs requires an Apple SuperDrive or compatible third-party DVD burner.
Flickr service is available only in select countries
According to the first line of the specs you can ran iWeb on your G5. You probably will have to do a custom install since the G5 doesn't fit the iMovie and Garageband minimums. iMovie 6 HD is better for adding audio to video anyway. If you have problems installing you can use Pacifist to extract and install just iWeb if it comes to that. But iLife might let you install everything that will work. You'll just have to give it a go.
OR you might get a copy of iLife 08 from eBay.

  • Can't launch iWeb-very strange

Trying to launch iWeb08 gives this message:
"You can't open the Application "iWeb" because it is not supported on this architecture."
I noticed this around the time I tried to install the 10.5.2 update so it may be related but not sure. Had 10.5.2 problems but those were resolved by running disl warrior and reinstalling the software, but it looks like I am still having iWeb problems.
    Other iLife 08 apps OK.
    Anyone?

No worries. I deleted iWeb and reinstalled. After downloading the update it works.

  • Keyboard Very Glitchy + Speakers Clicking After Resume From Suspend

    Hello,
Didn't know exactly where to post this, so I chose newbie.  I have a very strange issue regarding suspending and resuming on my Arch64 box.  When I resume from a suspend, everything seems to work okay, however first I hear this from my speakers:
    *pop* [pause] *pop*
And then, when I use the keyboard, it responds very strangely.  Every key still types what it should, but letters will be frequently either skipped over to carried out longer.
    Here's a good example:
If I type this before a suspend: "Arch Linux rules!"
It may come out like this after the suspend: "ArcLinux ruuuuuuuuul!"
    See what's happening?
So when this happens I must reboot, and then it works fine again.
My machine is an HP Pavilion DV7 6199us running on Intel graphics (sna acceleration) with the Radeon card disabled with acpi_call.

This is pretty confusing, any help highly appreciated, thanks!

I have found a workaround in this bug report.
    Make a script in /usr/lib/systemd/system-sleep/keyboard.sh
    #!/bin/sh
    case $1/$2 in
    post/*)
    echo -n rescan > /sys/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/drvctl
    esac
Do not forget to make it executable:
    chmod a+x /usr/lib/systemd/system-sleep/keyboard.sh

  • Sharing to iTunes VERY glitchy in Logic Pro X

I am having a big glitch with the Share to iTunes feature.  Most of the time, when attempting to File/Share/Share to iTunes, starting the marker at Zero, the marker jumps ahead past the first few tracks and only copies the very end of the song to iTunes.   Sometimes, but rarely, the same procedure works.  Is there something I am doing wrong.  I even clicked in the blank "Arrage" space as you had to do in Logic Pro 9, but that doesn't help either.
I am experiencing other weird things too such as the track I want to edit... when zoomed.  Only shows half of the track if there are other tracks above it.  Then after some finaggling, It suddenly shows the whole track.  Experiencing LOTS of weird stuff.  Sometimes the "Automation" will not work in a track... then a few minutes later it will.        I have a new iMac with lots of power so I'm not under spec or anything.  Please help.  Also, why do some Library instruments not work while others do.  The coveted Hammond sometimes works, and sometimes not.  Why all the glitches?

I am having a similar problem...
According to the manual, when I choose to Share to iTunes, it is only supposed to bounce from the beginning of the first region in your project to the end of the last region in your project (unless you have cycle selected, then it will only bounce the portion of the song in the yellow cycle area).
However does not work as advertised in either of these cases... when I don't have cycle on, it bounces from the beginning to about a minute past my last region, and if I turn on cycle mode it just does the same thing.
    Pretty weak Apple.

  • Mac is very glitchy? objects have the wrong color?

whenever i play a game, play a video, or just on the internet, colors go wrong, items flash out of nowhere, and stuff freezes a lot. whenever i minimize a program such as safari, it still stays there but i can see it go down back into the dashboard. when i drag an app on the frozen safari, it looks like im drawing on it and it colors the desktop where ever i drag the app. once, i was playing sims 3 and the mountains were striped blue and red. the ocean was blood red, and the sky was green.(yes, very creepy.) i tryed turning off the mac for about 12 times now but the problem still persists. on activity moniter, i have 40 mb of page outs, and 391 mb of page ins.i have absolutly nothing on my computer since i just made myself an account and it says 98 GB left of space remaining? like what the **** just happened? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

That doesn't look good. I don't recall you saying which iMac you have exactly but it's time to get your install discs out and run the Apple Hardware Test in extended mode, post your results back and we'll see if we can figure it out.....hate to say but it sure looks like a failing GPU. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509

  • I just got a new macbook pro, firefox is being very glitchy, please help?

I just got a new Macbook pro yesterday.
I took it home and downloaded the newest Firefox (my go-to browser for years), and I'm having some pretty substantial issues.
First, I tried streaming a movie on Netflix last night, and I'm getting a really obscure error message that provides me a list of steps. I follow the steps and nothing happens. I tried watching on Chrome and Safari and they both work.
Next, and this is the one that confuses me most, is when I pull up a video on youtube and take it to fullscreen, The bottom toolbar that gives pause and play options, shows how far along in the video you are, etc, is granulated and slightly obscured. Somehow abstracted, I guess, when it should obviously be crystal clear. I've literally never seen anything like this before, and once again, it's only happening on Firefox. I'm pretty frustrated at this point, can anyone help me?
Before you ask, I've run all my software updates and everything is completely good to go, so that's not the solution.
Thanks for reading, hopefully I can get some feedback soon.

Is it a beep or a chime (or tone)?
When it's powered on, the Mac goes through a POST (Power On Self Test), in which it briefly tests crucial components. A (more or less) musical chime or tone indicates that the POST was successful. If POST fails, what you hear depends on the Mac and the error -- a beep, or several beeps, or even a chord. The startup chime may be a problem if you start your MBP in an inconvenient location. You can mute it by holding down the mute key (F10) until the Apple logo appears.

  • Messages app is not sending alerts in ios 8 is also hanging and crashing very glitchy

Updated to ios 8 yesterday and noticed that messages were appearing in my messaging app, but no chime or alert badge was appearing.  yes i did check do not disturb, it was off, the sound was on and alerts were also turned on.
i've also noticed the messages app is crashing about 50% of the time and is hanging every time i use it.  i'm going to backup and restore now.  wish me luck.
    anyone else having problems?

This was the final step in a series of attempts and it finally worked for me... finally after an hour or two of reading every post I could find on getting repeat alert notifications. I closed the app (double clicking home and pressing the red circle with the white line in it which  turned off the messages app).  Then I held the home and off button until the apple came on...  I had also reset the DNS service numbers to 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4:  I also made sure that the badge icon was on, a sound was selected and I had it turned to repeat alert 3 times.  When I tested after doing all these things the repeat worked.  I decided I wanted to turn it to repeat 10 times and it didn't work.... so I held the home and off button at the same time and it reset so that the alert repeats 10 times.  Perhaps the combination of all these these things did the trick, or maybe it was just the home and off button reset...
