Iweb With html5 Pre Built Templates?
Sorry if this is an obvious question, but Googling hasn't helped me.
I found an html5 pre built template I would like to purchase and download. But I am very limited in Dreamweaver knowledge. Can I open and work with this type of template in iWeb?
iWeb can only use templates that are specifically designed for it. It cannot open an external html file.
I would imagine that what you are contemplating buying is an HTML layout with a CSS stylesheet. You would need code entry style software for this but you really don't need DreamWeaver.
I use Rage WebDesign for this. Taco is a really good, cheaper alternative and Fraise is free.
Some iWeb users are moving to Flux 3 since it handles both code entry and drag and drop. This application, to my mind, is over complicated and you would be better to use a WYSIWYG code entry style software if you are starting off with a well designed Stylesheet and HTML template. Its a lot easier in the long run and produces much cleaner code.

Learning to use flash on a pre-built template.
I am new to flash, and web design at that matter. I am
learning to use flash using a pre-built template. Does anyone know
how to get the buttons on the template to link to files?
Thanks!Pallett,

Ouch! That may be problematic. Where di you get the
pre-built
template?
> Does anyone know how to get the buttons on the
> template to link to files? Thanks!
The global getURL() function links to files (see details in
the
ActionScript 2.0 Language Reference) -- but honestly, since
the specifics of
your template are completely unknown to us, you may find a
hard time getting
answers until you provide more information.
In general -- this is my opinion here, but I'll try to back
it up -- 3rd
party templates are not a good way to learn Flash. The reason
for this is
because template repositories, such as TemplateMonster.com,
farm out their
template designs. There are no centralized standards of
quality in such
templates: 10 to 1, you will not see consistent, clean FLAs
-- on the
inside, I mean. Designers from all over the world throw
together as many
templates as they possibly can (to make as much money as they
possibly can,
of course), with no real quality assurance, because none of
them work under
the same roof.
I've seen countless posts to this forum along the lines of,
"Hey, I just
bought this template, but I can't make sense of it!" And
that's because the
FLA's layers won't be named, layer folders won't be used,
Library assets
won't be named (or will be named poorly), and very little (if
anything) will
be explained in regard to *how* the designer put together
whatever's there.
That said, I certainly don't mean to frighten you into
thinking
templates are a bad thing. Good and bad, in this context, are
somewhat
subjective. But I encourage you to look elsewhere for
*learning* Flash.
There are plenty of online tutorials and resources, and in
fact, the
included documentation in Flash (F1 key) is a great place to
get your
bearings.

Changing Fonts with a Pre-made Template
I am trying to change the font of the words in the premade template titled "Float." Is this even a possibility? I am having a hard time figuring it out.
Thanks for any help.it's all grouped according to the dropzone...hit f5 and in your layers tab, right before the name of the group is a little arrow, click it to reveal 3 other groups, repeat the process till you see the text layer.... New to motion? Read the manual and do the tutorials.

Encore CS5, pre-built Menu Templates?
Hi, Are there pre-built templates for Encore rather than having to build each section from scratch?
The library is the included source.
Also, google "adobe encore templates" and look for threads there.
Jon Geddes, a frequent poster here, provides some very exciting templates (for purchase).

He has free tutorials on that site also. -
Does OBIEE come with pre-built ETL for EnterpriseOne?
Hi All,
I'm currently trying to integrate OBIEE with EnterpriseOne and was wondering if there are any pre-built ETL for EnterpriseOne. Does OBIEE come ship with any pre-built EnterpriseOne dashboards, if so where can I find these. Thanks for the guidance.Hi,
OBIEE doesn't comes with pre-built ETLs. Its BI Applications which have pre-built ETLs to build OBAW. But one need to install these BI Applications on top of OBIEE.
Hope this clarified your doubt.

Oracle PeopleSoft CRM pre-built VM Template
Hey!
Am looking for a pre-built VM Template of Oracle PeopleSoft CRM.. In the instructions it says:
Visit http://edelivery.oracle.com/oraclevm
Complete your registration information (Name, Company Name, Email Address and Country) and click on the download agreement
Select "Oracle VM Templates" from the "Select a Product Pack" pull-down menu
Select "x86 64 bit" from the "Platform" pull-down menu
Click "Go" and then select from the list of Oracle VM Templates
Download and unzip the files and read the readme
But I can't find PeopleSoft listed in after hitting the "Go" button!
Is there any other way to download it?
Thank you in advance.It seems Oracle needs to revisit their pages more often, the link you pointed is really out of date. The PSoft OVM CRM91 PTools 8.50 you read from the page you linked is dated from August-2010 when I see my software repository...
The Peoplesoft OVM Templates have been globally decomissioned three years ago I think, you have no luck to find out one of them unless you have already downloaded them.
Nowadays, Peoplesoft is working with the so-called Peoplesoft Images, virtual machine for VirtualBox. Unfortunately, only available for those who have a valid Customer Support Identifier (paid support) and access to My Oracle Support.
The Peoplesoft images are rebuilt on regular basis, perhaps every quarter - depending of the application, with the highest maintenance level (application and tools).

Is there a pre-built VM with just Oracle Linux?
I want to try out installing Oracle Database 11gR2 on a Virtualbox without going through installing Oracle Linux in a Windows Host so I'm looking for a pre-built VM with just Oracle Linux. Most of the VMs available in Pre-Built Developer VMs (for Oracle VM VirtualBox) http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/community/developer-vm/index.html already have Oracle Database installed. It seems that my only choice is to use Enterprise Java Development VM. I notice there is something called Oracle VM template but it does not seem to be for Virtualbox. Thanks for any help.

I would second Bjorn's suggestion to just go ahead and install Oracle Linux from scratch. As a DBA you need to be familiar with a lot of OS level admin stuff, so installing the OS from scratch and doing the minimal configuration needed to install Oracle is, in itself, an important part of your professional development. If you take a shortcut of using a pre-built vm you are just stunting your own growth. -
Adding OSB to Pre-built SOA OSB BPM (PS5) VM - WC_Spaces template
Hi,
I have downloaded and setup the pre-built developer VM for SOA/OSB/BPM using the Webcenter Spaces template. Everything works fine, I am just trying to add OSB to extend the existing domain but getting stuck at the wizard where it asks for the OSB JMS Reporting Provider JDBC connection properties. The steps to get there are as follows:
Extend SOA domain
* Start Configuration Wizard:
cd /opt/oracle/Middleware/home_11gr1/Oracle_OSB1/common/bin
./config.sh
* Select Extend an existing WebLogic domain, click Next
* On Select a WebLogic Domain Directory screen, select soa_domain
* On Select Extension Source screen,
- Select: Oracle Service Bus [Oracle_OSB1]
- Select: Oracle Service Bus OWSM Extenstion [Oracle_OSB1]
- WebLogic Advanced Web Services for JAX-RPC Extension [wlserver_10.3] option is also automatically selected.
- Click Next
* On Configure JDBC Data Sources screen, select soademoDatabase which was created at SOA Suite install. Click Next.
* Test JDBC Data Sources, click Next when successful
* On Configure JDBC Component Schema, select the checkbox for OSB JMS Reporting Provider and enter
- Vendor: Oracle
- Driver: *Oracle's Driver (Thin) for Service connections; Versions:9.0.1 and later
- Schema Owner: DEV_SOAINFRA
- Schema Password: welcome1
- DBMS/Service: orcl.world
- Host Name: localhost
- Port: 1521
- Click Next ======> Can't get past here since OSB JMS Reporting Provider database cannot be found!!
Wondering if there is a way to use the initial setup script to add OSB JMS Reporting Provider DB? I also couldn't find RCU Home so that I could add the OSB JMS Reporting Provider DB to the XE Instance. Any help is much appreciated..
Thanks
Z.
Edited by: 956060 on Aug 30, 2012 8:18 AM* On Configure JDBC Data Sources screen, select soademoDatabase which was created at SOA Suite install. Click Next.You may skip this step by not selecting anything. Later on when you need to work with Reporting, you may create a data-source and tables manually.
And at the next startup of the Admin Server it complains about the JDBC connection not available and fails to initialize it.To avoid this problem, you may follow below steps -
1. Navigate to directory $Domain_Home/config
2. Search for string "wlsbjmsrpDataSource" in file config.xml
3. You will find an entry like below -
<jdbc-system-resource>
<name>wlsbjmsrpDataSource</name>
<target>AdminServer</target>
<descriptor-file-name>jdbc/wlsbjmsrpDataSource-jdbc.xml</descriptor-file-name>
</jdbc-system-resource>
Replace the above entry with below -
<jdbc-system-resource>
<name>wlsbjmsrpDataSource</name>
<target></target>
<descriptor-file-name>jdbc/wlsbjmsrpDataSource-jdbc.xml</descriptor-file-name>
</jdbc-system-resource>
Basically you need to remove the targeting of this DS. Once done, save the config.xml and try to start your admin server now.
When (in future) you want to use Reporting feature of OSB, just provide the details of DB in the connection pool of datasource "wlsbjmsrpDataSource" and target it to the OSB servers and you will be good to go.

PavanHi there
I have a Technote that shows how the information can be published from EBS to BAM. In addition you could create an end to end visibility across the products e.g. B2B - BPEL - EBS - Financials etc by raising the events to BAM .
There is no out of the box dashboards available today. However, i have a number of customers who are doing this use case by themselves or through some SI/Oracle consulting.
can we contact you offline to discuss your requirement?

Pre-built website businesses how to get into dreamweaver?
Hello,
I just purchased a monthly membership to a website that is selling "scripts". Pre-built website businesses that I am able to download and edit as i like. I also recently dowloaded dreamweaver and look forward to learning how to use it. I'm a novice with html, web design, etc and know dreamweaver is pretty "intense". I tried to get these files "php" and "css" into dreamweaver and I'm having difficulty. Is there some easy way this is done that I'm not able to find in my books and online material? thanks!Hi
Unfortunately without knowing what the 'pre-built' sites contain it will be difficult to say if they can be used 'as is' in dreamweaver.
Many of these pre-built sites contain templates and include files, and depending upon the type of template used, you may require a plug-in to use them in dreamweaver, the good new is that most of the common template systems such as 'smarty', do have dreamweaver extensions available.
The first thing to do is set up a testing server with a server side scripting language as required by the pre-built site. If it is a php/MySQL site then see this article for setting up a testing server - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setting_up_php.html, if it is asp then try this one - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setting_up_asp.html, should it be some other then please let me know.
Once you have your testing server of choice set-up, copy the files to a folder in the testing servers htdocs or www.root folder and define your site in the dreamweaver site definitions, to do this see - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/first_dynamic_site_pt1.html, this article is for php but the steps required are the same.
Should your site use templates such a smarty, then a search of the web for smarty (replace this with your template name), dreamweaver extension, should find the dreamweaver extension you require, failing this try searching the dreamweaver extensions site at - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=productHome&exc=3&loc=en_us. There are also many tutorials and how-too's on the dreamweaver developers center pages at - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/?view=home, to help you get started with dreamweaver.

Dreamweaver CS5.5 pre-built flash skins
How do I add a full screen button option to the Dreamweaver pre-built flash skins?
Don't use Flash. It's a dead web technology because the list of supporting devices is shrinking each day. To reach the widest possible audience, you should use HTML5 <video> instead of Flash.
Copy & paste this code into a new, blank document. Save as test.html.
Change YourVideo.ogg, ....mp4 and ....webm to your actual video file names.
Save and preview in browsers / mobile devices.
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>HTML5 with Video</title>
<!--[if lt IE 9]><script src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script><![endif]-->

<h1>SITE NAME</h1>
</header>
<!--begin video-->

Does anyone know how to access an adobe pre built web page template to modify some of the content.
Hi Bobby,
Yes, it is by design. By default, Windows Server only accepts two concurrent administrative sessions (Administrative Mode). It means that only two administrators can work on the server at
the same time.
If you would like more concurrent sessions, you need to purchase RDS CALs, install Terminal Services related server roles with proper configurations on the server.

I am new to Dreamweaver. I have designed sites in iWeb, but it won't give me access to the HTML in order to change colors on a pre-designed template. I downloaded a trial version of Dreamweaver, but I can't figure out if it has any pre-designed templates for me to start with or not. If it does, would someone please tell me how to access them? Thank you! (I called support, but they said that they do not support the trial version.)
I'm looking for a program that will give me more versatility but won't require me to write all of the code from scratch.
DW writes the code for you.

Do the "Pre-built Developer VMs" work on Windows 7 Home 64-bit OS
Hello,
Do the "Pre-built Developer VMs" work on the laptops with Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit Operating System?
Thanks
MohanrajYes, Aman you are right. As I guessed it worked. I was not sure that the Oracle Virtual Box will work on Home Premium 64-Bit because the download page did not say anything about which flavor of 64-Bit OS is supported. However, I downloaded and installed ("Oracle Virtual Box and Pre-built Developer VMs"). Afterwards, I tested a few items, so far looks good.
Thanks for your response.
