IWeb won't publish files, only folders

Question

here's the problem,
I've create a web and clicked publish to my 3rd party host. Once iWeb told me it's done with background uploading I FTP to the site and found nothing but published empty folder structure. So, I delete them and upload again. The problem still there. Anyone know how to fix this?, now I have to publish site to local and upload files manually.
Another question, it appears that my host needs me to upload everything to "htdocs" folder for my web to be viewable. But iWeb will create folder of my web with my web title beside htdocs folder. Is there anyway that all of contents to be exported to htdocs folder without changing my site title to htdocs? so I can use Publish only change function.

If you want the iWeb FTP to upload to htdocs, you need to specify this in the Directory/Path field on the Site Publishing Settings page.
The method suggested by Ethmoid is better as the iWeb FTP uploads the whole folder and this may not be what you want.
If you require your site to be found in Google etc and to download reasonably fast in the browser, you need to add tags for SEO and optimize the files before upload. To do this, you need to publish to a local folder anyway.
