Iweb wont publish picture borders wont show and mp3 in html snippet wont publish.

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum,
I'm following www.iweb for musicians.com website design, Roddy the man is ace.
I'm trying to publish my site with borders and flection on my first page and also a HTML snip box with a code for a mp3.
It all shows up and plays fine in my iweb program but when i publish to a folder then upload using a 3rd party ftp, these additions dont show up.
It's kind of like its maybe not 'saving' correctly in iweb and not publishing correctly?
Any help greatly accepted.

iWeb always publishes correctly.
Since you paste the code in a HTML Snippet it is your responsibilty to make it work correctly.
My guess is that you also need to upload the mp3 file. So check that first.

IWeb: Twitter HTML Snippets Don't Work

For several months, I've used iWeb (most up-to-date version) to host my personal website. It is jonathankeilholz.com. This morning, I realized that my Twitter snippets were no longer showing - neither when in preview nor when published. The YouTube ones work, but the Twitter ones do not.
The first time I noticed it was yesterday (11 June 2013). I tried multiple times to copy and paste the Twitter widget HTML codes and other options. Nothing worked.
Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hello,
I used the HTML code from Twitter's website. I'm still not having any luck.
When I copy and paste the HTML snippet, the result is a blue hyperlink that says "Tweets by JDKeilholz."
UPDATE: I tried other widgets and it seems the same thing is happening regardless of it being from Twitter.

IWeb HTML snippet doesn't work hosted outside MobileMe

Hi
I created a site with iWeb and used to HTML snippets.
When I publish the site on MobileMe all works fine
When I publish the site with my Dutch Web hosting company, those HTML components won't work.
The vistor to the page finds a error message instead of the HTML widget:
Not Found
The requested URL /test/Welkom_files/widget3_markup.html was not found on this server.
Apache/2.0.52 (Red Hat) Server at www.knipdoor.nl Port 80
Does anyone know what's wrong and how to solve the issue?

It's clearly written :
The requested URL /test/Welkom_files/widget3_markup.html was not found on this server.
So go to your server and see if it's really missing.
And if you added/deleted/changed HTML Snippets, iWeb creates new widget-markup files with new sequence numbers. When you load the webpage, some widget-markup files might not be present anymore because of these changes.
Clear the cache of the browser and reload the webpage.

PDF files and html snippet

This may be a simple ? but I don't know how to do this. I'm trying to add a 2 page PDF file to my iweb and upload it via FTP (Cyberduck).
I know you need to make your PDF a link on your server, but I have no clue how to do that. (and use the HTML Snippet to place it on the page). Anything on my server is what's on my iweb. If I haver 5 pages - there are 5 links on my iweb site.
Where exactly do I put this PDF URL so I can add it to the HTML Snippet?

You don't need to use an HTML Snippet - just a hyperlink to the file so that it can be opened in the browser or downloaded......

You can call AppleCare and request a replacement set of the original DVD's that shipped with the computer for a nominal charge. You will need the serial number (look on the bottom of the stand) and a credit card. Click the AppleCare Contact Info link. Without knowing which iMac you have it's very difficult to say if a new SL disc would work or not.

If you followed these instructions and you were unable to enter recovery mode, I'm still leaning toward a hardware problem. Also, since you have IOS-7, read this. It might help.

I think that your Mac detects your hard disk, but the problem is that your new hard disk doesn't contain any operating system, so your Mac doesn't find any bootable partition and you see a question mark.

IWeb wont publish updated pages to site using Mobileme

Tried to publish 2 updated pages to my current iWeb site published on Mobileme. Am directed through a Facebook username and password login. (Don't remember this step from prior publishing.) Then nothing happens. No site update. No option to publish site available within iWeb. And no way I see to save my changes made in iWeb before I exit the program to try to figure out. I have lost work twice. What is happening and how do I correct the trouble?

You must have checked the box next to "Update my Facebook profile when I publish this site."
Click the site name at the top of the left column in iWeb to get to the Publishing Settings page to change this.

IWeb site loses functionality (Slide Show and Click to Enlarge)

I have three iWeb sites, to which I have added Slide Show and Click to Enlarge features on Photo pages. They are all published via web.mac.com.
Two of them lost these abilities after about a week, although the cursor still changes from an arrow to a hand when passing over Start Slideshow and the various pictures. The other site still functions normally.
Recommendations?

Iweb wont launch in lion

Hi - any suggestions? iWeb wont open in Lion for some reason. It gives "one hop" in my tool bar, but I cant access any new pages nor any of my old sites created therein.
I also have other issues with my screensaver and Lion which I will post elsewhere. So far in my life, FIRST hiccupp with an Apple upgrade.
Any help appreciated.

In Lion the Finder folder is now invisible. To make it permanetely visible enter the following in the Terminal applicaiton window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
Now that the library folder is visible
Try the following:
move the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home()/Library/Preferences folder to the Desktop.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and move its contents to the Desktop.
launch iWeb and try again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
launch iWeb and try again.

Nomad muvu cannot format and mp3 wont turn

i try to format my nomad 28mb mp3, but it wont, and there is an error. I cant add songs and turn it on. Maybe something inside of the mp3 is broken. Its and mp3 where you dont need cables, just directly to the computer.

What error did you encounter? Also, have you try using the firmware update that's available at the download site to format the player. Be sure to read the instruction under 'Shows Details' to properly run the firmware update application.

I'm having some trouble with Facebook for iPhoto. I recently migrated my buisness profile to a Page, per Facebook's rules, so when I log-in, I only have my Page. I connected the e-mail and password with iPhoto and have been trying to upload pictures. The pictures go to iPhoto, and they pend and then get approved. However, they do no show up on my Page, and when I try to click on the album through iPhoto is just says 'content not available.'
Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Do what you are being told. Plug the phone into a computer running iTunes and restore the phone.
