IWocountered an error while attempting to create the attachment data.

Hi I have created an invoice on pages, then saved it.
When i click on share to send document  via email as a PDF file this message comes up "IWORK ENCOUNTERED AN ERROR WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CREATE THE ATTACHMENT DATA" can anybody help it very frustrating,i recently wiped my mac book pro and since i put iwork back on it hasnt worked.
Thanks Tasha

Pages 5 has a complex and unique file bundle format. Designed to make it impossible to extract any contents when the inevitable goes wrong.
GMail, Amazon, Dropbox etc (almost any non-Apple Server software) just don't understand them.
Send the files via Apple Mail.

  • IWork encountered an error while attempting to create the attachment data.

Can anyone please help with this error? I recently upgraded to Mavericks - I am guessing this is a problem linked to it.
I look forward to getting any pointers on rectifying this.

I was trying to run Share -> Send via Mail -> Word, this would attach the pages as word document in the Mail. After Mavericks installation it throws an error.
    For what it is worth-
I sought technical help from Apple on the telephone - they asked me to create another user profile with Administrator status and restart the machine. After the restart and upon accessing the pages application the update for pages showed up. I am yet to update the pages, but I was told this error would be solved upon the update. Then you can delete the new user profile created for the purpose. I will complete the process tomorrow and post the outcome.
All this round about because the pages after mavericks update wouldn't ask for the update automatically with the Old user profile (administrator). Alternatively, I was also asked to try uninstalling the iWorks and do a fresh installation.

  • An error occurred while attempting to create the d...

    I keep receiving this message
An error occurred while attempting to create the directory: C:\Users\owner\AppData"
anyone knows how to fix this?

I might be wrong but the issue is most likely related to missing permissions for the C:\Users\WinUserName\AppData folder. If this is the case, then not only Skype but all other programs which need to access this folder will not install properly. In order to locate this folder one has to type %appdata% in Windows Start Search box and press Enter. Right click on the AppData folder, select properties and Security tab. Select in turn all the user names listed there. Should be something like SYSTEM, your win user name and Administrators. For each of the users look for which permissions are given for this folder. If some permissions are missing, then click Edit and change to Allow. You will only be able to do this if you have Administrative privileges.

  • An error occurred while attempting to create the directory: C:\ProgramData\microsoft\windows\start Menu

Itunes update 10.5.2.11 for windows 7 (64 bit) keeps crashing at this point...
"an error occurred while attempting to create the directory: C:\ProgramData\microsoft\windows\start Menu"
I have read all of the forums to no avail. Seems like a common problem.
Has anyone had the same issue and actually solved it?

I'm getting this problem too. I have been running iTunes for a few years with no problems until recently. WHenever I try and open it I get an error message saying "An error occured while attmpting to create the directory: I:\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\de.lproj\EQWindow.nib" with the options to retry or cancel. Retry just results in the same error message occuring again.
I've tried other programs on the I: drive and they work fine, I've also followed the 'Removing iTunes Configuration Files' and some of the other apple support guides with no success. My windows updates are fine.
    Any suggestions?

  • Error: SharePoint Workspace encountered an unknown error while attempting to create this list

    Hi,
I am using Sharepoint workspace to offline synchronize a document library.
In the workspace, I provided the site name. All but one document library was downloaded.
I selected the document library, which did not get downloaded. I am getting the below message:
SharePoint Workspace encountered an unknown error while attempting to create this list. Ask your site administrator to resolve the issue and then click Resolve Error in the Resolve tab.
If I click on Resolve error, the sharepoint workspace crashes and opens again.
    How to fix this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
For troubleshooting your issue, you can take steps as below:
Running groove.exe /clean from command prompt
Running groove.exe /clean /all from the command prompt
Removing the library from sharepoint workspace and re-adding it
Deleting the users folder from c:\users\username\appdata\local\microsoft\office\groove\user
Running a repair on Office 2010
Uninstalling and reinstalling the Sharepoint Workspace tool from the computer
    Verifying all updates are installed

After further Investigation it seems that this error is Not responsible for my Blue screening......I started my PC after leaving it off all night, and it started normally, but i still have this error in the Event Log - System.....I have searched the Technet
forums (and there is a lot of ID 1012 errors) but non relating to my problem....If anyone knows what is causing this error and how to fix it, i'd be Grateful....although it does not seem to affect the PC in any way that i can see.

Since Windows system uses separated user mode and kernel mode memory space, stop errors are always caused by kernel portion components, such as a third-party device drivers, backup software or anti-virus services (buggy services).
The system goes to a BSOD because there is some exceptions happened in the kernel (either the device driver errors or the service errors), and Windows implements this mechanism: When it detects some errors occur in the kernel, it will kill the box in case
some more severe damage happens. Then we get a blue screen or the system reboots (it depends on what the system settings are).
To troubleshoot this kind of kernel crash issue, we need to debug the crashed system dump. Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. A suggestion would be to contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via telephone so that
a dedicated Support Professional can assist with your request. Please be advised that contacting phone support will be a charged call.
To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below:
    Microsoft - Help and Support
If you are outside the US please see
Microsoft Worldwide Home for regional support phone numbers.
Meantime we can try some available steps as a general troubleshoot.
    1. Please remove the antivirus and run the system with a period. If the issue does not occur, mainly focus on antivirus settings and compatibility.
    2. Disable Automatic Restart and see detail information on the blue screen.
1).Click Start, in the Start Search box enter sysdm.cpl.
2).Click the tab Advanced. Under Startup and Recovery, click the Settings button.
    3). Uncheck “Automatically restart”.
4). On the drop-down menu “Write debugging information”, choose “Small memory dump”.
    5). Click OK.
When Blue Screen displays, you may find some useful information.

  • I'm having problems with a message that says: An error occurred while Attempting to create the directory: C:/program files/itunes/cd configuarion

I know this is a long story, but I'll be damned if I'm not going to get the most specific help I can (as Apple seems to specialize in assuming user error for all its demonic software). I've never had issues with iTunes before (barring a "Connect to iTunes" snafu with my iPod Touch) -- and never, in fact, with Windows Vista, if you believe that -- but this is the most bizarre thing I've seen.
I recently downloaded the new iTunes v 9.0.3 as I am occasionally prompted to do whenever a new version comes out, and immediately I had problems. Access to the iTunes and Quicktime folders was mysteriously denied after the update, and after several hours of frustration, I was able to grant my own Administrative access to these two folders and installation went through. Thank God.
Then I bought some music. No problems -- downloaded just fine, along with a copy of Cinderella Man and the new episode of Smallville. Life was good for a few days.
Then I connected my iPod Touch to the computer. All of a sudden, Microsoft Windows informs me that the "Apple Mobile Device Service stopped working and was closed," with subtext, "A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available."
Bullsh*t Windows can help me with anything from Apple.
So I've tried to get iTunes to work with me on this. I've come up against the infamous "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (OxE8000001)" message. My God, when does it ever end?
So I go into Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Apple Mobile Device and start it back up... only to watch it stop again inexplicably moments later. Hmm... Restart. Stays on. Unplug the iPod and plug it back in. Apple Mobile Device Service stops again. Maybe it's the iPod Service itself. Hey, that one's not started! [Start] "Windows could not start the iPod Service service on Local Computer -- Error 5: Access is denied."
What the f*ck is it with this "Access denied" crap? I've never been denied access to even the most intimate functions, files and folders on my freaking computer before! What has Apple created!?
I thought, perhaps Apple Mobile Device software was somehow removed. Okay, let's redownload iTunes (aka Repair the program from the Programs and Features menu in the Control Panel -- same thing). Huh. "An error occurred while attempting to create directory C:\Program Files\iTunes\CD Configuration," and I can choose to Retry or Cancel. So, instinctively, I deleted the CD Configuration folder, assuming iTunes Setup would just recreate it.
Well, that didn't work now, did it? I deleted it and hit Retry, and it said, "The installer has insufficient priveleges to access the directory: C:\Program Files\iTunes\CD Configuration. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator." Running the .exe file as an adminstrator changes NOTHING about this predicament.
So that's where it stands. No CD Configuration folder; full access to all files and folders involved; Apple Mobile Device Service still keeps going off for no reason; iPod Service still doesn't run; Repairing/Reinstalling iTunes, Quicktime, Bonjour, etc. does nothing; and God (aka Steve Jobs, apparently) hates me.
    . . . . . . . . . . . . Help me.

    Hi there,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps found in the article below.

  • T60 - Error while attempting to read the boot configuration data

    Hello,
My wife just got an IBM-certified "pre-owned" T60 (type 2007 66U) running XP a few days ago. I updated all the drivers & patches and handed it over to her in good working order.
This morning when she turned it on, she encountered a message from the Windows Boot Manager:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
     1) Insert your Windows installation disc
     2) Language settings
     3) Repair your computer
If you do not have this disc....
    File: \Boot\BCD
    Status: 0xc000000f
Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data
It almost goes without saying that we do not having our Windows installation disc as it was pre-installed by Lenovo. I've tried using F11 (after enabling it per other threads on this site) to access the recovery partition but it only takes me directly to the Windows Boot Manager error screen.
How do I go about repairing this BCD/Windows installation so we can continue our life?
    Thanks...

You said that the computer is running Windows XP, but unless i'm wrong BCD (Boot Configuration Data) is a new feature starting with Windows Vista and also used by Windows 7. Windows XP use NTLDR (NT Loader) so if BCD is corrupted it sounds to me like someone tried to install Vista og Win7 on the computer or there might have been some leftovers from the previous owner. I don't think you have any other option but to use a Windows CD/DVD to fix this problem since you won't be able to boot from this computer. There might be some 3part utilities available that should be able to fix this, but i wouldn't know what that might be. My recommendation would be to get a Windows CD/DVD.

  • Error while attempting to use the CSSFormatResolver Class in Flash CS4

    Hello,
While trying to work with a revised version of the CSSFormatResolver class (created by timoisalive and posted on this thread) the compiler threw the following error:
1061: Call to a possibly undefined method getChildAtIndex through a reference with static type flashx.textLayout.elements:FlowGroupElement.
The method originates from within the invalidate() method of the CSSFormatResolver class.
    public function invalidate(target:Object):void {
         delete _textLayoutFormatCache[target];
         var blockElem:FlowGroupElement = target as FlowGroupElement;
         if(blockElem) {
              for(var idx:int = 0; idx < blockElem.numChildren; idx++)                          invalidate(blockElem.getChildAtIndex(idx));
If I comment the for loop I can get the example to run, but that seems to seriously affect the way the styles are interpreted...
The example files are attached below.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you in advance.

    There is no FlowGroupElement.getChildAtIndex method.
    There are these two:
    getChildAt(index:int):FlowElement
Returns the FlowElement child at the specified index.
    FlowGroupElement
    getChildIndex(child:FlowElement):int
Searches in children for the specified FlowElement object and returns its index position.
    FlowGroupElement
    I think you meant getChildAt.
    Hope that helps,
    Rich

  • Error while attempting to create bitmap index

I get the error below while creating a bitmap index on a table in SQL Developer.
How do a go about enabling this feature? I looked on Tools | Preferences menu and didn't see anything.
    Using Version 1.0.0.14.67
    >>>
Error starting at line 1 in command:

    Thanks

Nevermind.. I found it on google. You must have an SE version of Oracle which does not support Bitmapped Indexes. You will have to use another index type.

    Hi all.
when I used KPI, this error occured:
An error occurred while attempting to retrieve the KPI value from the list
    what happened?
    any suggestion.
    thanks.

    Hello,
Unfortunatly, I don't have the option to re-create my SP list.  I have created my KPI list in the same site as the targeted list.  I have made all items available in the list view, I've tried several different list views, I still get the
An error occurred while attempting to retrieve the KPI value from the list.
    message.
I am at a loss here, I've search the internet high a low and haven't found any helpful info.
In MOSS 2007 I've created a list with about 24 columns.  I need a KPI based on one of the columns.  I've tried to creat a view with that one column, I've tried to creat a view with all columns
and make it the defualt column...  I don't know what else to try here.

  • An error occurred while attempting to perform the operation.

    Hi All,
I am getting an error while running the report:
"An error occurred while attempting to perform the operation. Then operation did not complete successfully."
Although I can see the data coming is correct, but don't know why this error is coming.
I have seen for NULL values.
How can I see the detail log to trace the error?
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Himanshu Tiwari

    Hi,
You can login as system using SQLPlus and use the DBMS_SYSTEM.set_sql_trace_in_session procedure to set trace on another Discoverer session. This should establish if there is any database error occuring in the Discoverer session.
