IWord Keynote HELP - can't remove page border line

I know this sounds simple, but I've just converted over to a Mac from a PC, so bear with me...
In Keynote, I cannot figure out how to remove the border that appears around the document when I print. The border does NOT show up when I'm in the document, but it appears in print preview and when I print out the document. How do I remove this border from the document?? THANKS

Thanks for the response. As far as renaming ~/.mozilla, it kept regenerating itself each time I opened Swiftweasel, so I moved ~/.sw35 to ~/.sw000 and then opened it and there was no white line. So I went through one by one installing my add-ons again and, even though I had disabled it and restarted earlier, it turns out that if I don't install "NumExt" it wont have the white line. That's so weird that it didn't do it earlier when I disabled it. Sad, though, since I really liked that extensions. Maybe I'll see if I can edit the file somehow.

  • Can't remove white border/line on left & top of Swiftweasel [Solved]

As the title states; I cannot remove this persistent white line/border thing at the top and left side of my Swiftweasel (Firefox) web browser. I know there must've been a post about this before but with such familiar/vague keyword combinations such as "white line border swiftweasel / firefox", etc, I couldn't find anything in the Forum or on Google except something to do with certain webpages (which in my case is on ALL pages). Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about:
(Swiftweasel is at the top of the screen, in case you couldn't tell. See the white line/border at top/left?)
I disabled all my extensions and Stylish styles and the white line/border on top & left side are still there. This was an issue on my previous Arch installation as well (not that it has anything to do with Arch itself) but I'm just saying that it's been an issue before for me. Any ideas?   It's just very annoying.
EDIT:  Solved: read my last post.

  • Can't remove portlet border.

    Hi Gurus,
i'm facing some unexpected behavior with a portlet:
The portlet appears in the page with a gray border.
BUT the "show portlet border" checkbox isn't checked in area edit page.
    So, what is happening?
And how can i remove the border.
I've already try some stupid things as:
    1)check "show portlet border"
    2)apply changes
    3)Ok
    4)edit area
    5)uncheck "show portlet border"
    6)apply changes
    7)Ok
    but nothing
    Thanks,
    Felippe.

The portlet calls a jsp page.
It has been created like all the other, via XML.
It displays the jsp content correctly but the border around the portlet.
When i toggle the checkbox "Show portlet border" it makes no difference at all but the "Show portlet header" does.
    Any ideas??
I'm trying to seek some erros in jsp code.
    thanks,
    Felippe.

  • How can I remove  pages 5.0 to work with Pages 09 again?

How can I remove  pages 5.0 to work with Pages 09 again?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
When you upgraded to Pages 5.0, the Mac App Store kept Pages '09 in case you want to use it again.
To access to Pages '09, open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and open the old Pages version. To access to it quickly, you can drag the icon to the Dock.
I do not recommend you to remove Pages 5.0 or the Mac App Store will be always asking you to upgrade Pages. Also, Apple will add more features to Pages 5.0 in the future. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6049?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

  • My new iMac with Yosemite displays photo icons with a white border.  How can I remove this border?

How can I remove the white border/'frame' around the photo icons, which I store in folders other than iPhoto?
My computer is an iMac 27" (Late 2014 5K Retina display) with Yosemite 10.10.3.
The border does not exist on any photos /images created on my MacbookPro (Lion) or any earlier computers.  It appears after importing to the iMac and only then after saving in either Preview or Photoshop Elements.
I have looked in all "Preferences" but could not find how to remove the border.
Any advice will be gratefully received.

Thank you for the reply. I wanted to wait awhile in order to ensure that this corrected the issue. For a brief while, it did! However, it did not take long before the screen began once again hijacking my home button presses. This occurs even with Firefox removed from default applications ( triple-checked ).
This never happened before version 35.

  • Help - can't open page to edit in iWeb

I have built a website on iWeb but now when I open it page doe snot open just the top menu bar of iWeb. Does anyone know how I can retrieve the page? Thanks

Rachael ~ Glad that worked. Sometimes iWeb's Domain file becomes so corrupted that it can never be opened again. So always back it up — perhaps via _Time Machine_ or SuperDuper! (or both.) ...Then you can go back to using an old but uncorrupted version — see this Apple doc:
_iWeb: Backing up your Domain file_
By the way, rather than posting again, you can edit a post within 15 minutes of posting — just click on the pencil icon in the post or reply you want to edit. Then make your changes and click on the Edit Message button to post those changes. Each edit re-starts your 15 minute window for re-editing.

  • Can i remove the border around the header?

the border that is automatically created around the header box is creating an annoying separation between the header and page background.. can i get rid of it?

Please post some code and/or a link to the page(s) you are talking about. To make sure you get help in the most efficient manner possible, read these posts first:

Just a wild guess, but if your "header box" is an image that is also a hyperlink, you might want to do a Google search on this very common behavior to find a solution:

  • How can I remove Page Break Views?

This is driving me nuts -- I'm just trying to write basic text, and yet, for some reason, Pages forces me to view a page as if it's a real piece of paper. As I'm writing, and come to the end of the page, there's two inches of white space from the end of the last sentence on the page to the start of the first sentence on the next page.
I find this distracting . . . I'm trying to type a sentence and I don't need to have a massive visual break interrupting the flow of writing. I can't find any way to turn off this view. Not that I want to, but why can't I type one continuous paragraph that could span multiple pages -- without being limited to the freakin' "page" metaphor of viewing?
I'm so frustrated with this that I think I'm going to have to go back to using MS Word. I'm trying hard to learn Pages, but when I have to knuckle down and write, I'm constantly getting interrupted by the page breaks. While I might be able to train myself to ignore the page break, each time I get to the bottom of a page, I effectively lose two inches of vertical space, which means I can't see as much text above and below what I've just written. It's maddening!
Does anyone have any solutions? Or is this just an astounding oversight on the part of Apple development?
I can manually reduce the margins, but I still get the big gray line separating pages at least a vertical inch of separation, plus, if I send the document to anyone else who might want to print it, I have to remember to change the margins back.
Right now, I'm leaving Pages and finishing my project in MS Word. Please help me come back to Pages! . . . .

Pages is a component of the AppleWorks successor so it seems logical that its designers made the same choice.

Sure it is a deliberate choice.
As always, the engineers apply this chapter of the Human Interface Guidelines
    +Apply the 80 Percent Solution+
+During the design process, if you discover problems with your product design, you might consider applying the 80 percent solution—that is, designing your software to meet the needs of at least 80 percent of your users. This type of design typically favors simpler, more elegant approaches to problems.+
+If you try to design for the 20 percent of your target audience who are power users, your design may not be usable by the other 80 percent of users. Even though that smaller group of power users is likely to have good ideas for features, the majority of your user base may not think in the same way. Involving a broad range of users in your design process can help you find the 80 percent solution.+
I assumes that you are in the 20% dropped.

  • Can't remove page # in XREF:  FM to RH XREF mapping doesn't work (known problem?)

    Hello,
After a few hours of head-scratching (something tells me this will be common as I work out the kinks while learning RH), I ran into what I think may be a problem or bug in RH.
My FrameMaker book includes a cross-reference format called "Heading" & page , which is defined as follows: <cross-ref>“<$paratext>” on page <$paranum[h1]><$pagenum>
My FrameMaker book is linked to my Robohelp project.
I tried mapping the cross-reference format in Robohelp to strip out the page number, so File > Project Settings > Edit Conversion Settings for FrameMaker documents > Cross-Reference, and I set the Robohelp Style to <$paratext>.
I did an Update, then Generate, and the page number would just not go away in the generated output!
I updated my FM book, recreated my RH project, re-did the linking, rebooted, defragged...I did whatever I could, to no avail.
I then changed the name of my cross-reference format in FrameMaker from "Heading" & page to Heading & page, and kept the definition as it was.
I remapped this new cross-reference format in RH, and did an update. At this point, the mapping worked and the page number was stripped from the output.
    Does this make sense?
Although I have this workaround, why the limitation on the xref format name? I have quite a few formats with both quotation marks (" "), and I would like to avoid having to change them all.
    Has anyone else seen this?
    Thanks!
    Sue

    Hi Jeff,
Correct. Stripping the quotes out of the cross reference format in FrameMaker before the conversion to <paratext> did not work. I still see the page numbers.
    The preview text did change.
I am linking my Frame content into RH, as I am using this as a single source solution for user guides and online help.
This problem arose immediately after upgrade from TCS 3 to TCS 4
After trying multiple fixes, I am now having some really strange problems, so I am in the process of restoring a backup and starting from scratch.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you so much!

  • Remove Page Border (I think...)

I am a new user of Indesign, so this is probably a very basic question.
I am creating training materials for a presentation from the "Manual.indt" template.   The cover page has a thick red strip across the top of the title page's margin.   What is this, and how do I remove it or edit it?   I cannot select it as an object. I have attached the page below.
    Thanks in advance!!

Yes, it was - thanks!   I thought I was in the master, but I wasn't.   When I got into the master page, it was there.

  • How can I remove message indent lines?

Sometimes I receive emails with indent lines on the left. Usually this happens when this email has been forwarded around a lot. When I forward this email myself, I try to clean it up. But when I get to a section with these indent lines, nothing
I do will remove them. Not delete, not remove indent, not the eraser, nothing. The only thing I can do is cut the content I want to keep, delete the entire section with the indent lines, then paste the cut section back into a non-indented section of my email.
I'm using using Outlook 2010, but this problem has been around for a long time. I was just hoping that there would finally be a solution.

Hi Sally. Thanks for this response, but my settings are only "Include original message text". As I said in my description, this is a deeply embedded email that arrived in my inbox with those indent lines. My question is when I'm forwarding that
email, how to remove them as Outlook does not let me delete those lines.
    Hi,
Do you mean there is no option “Include and indent original message text” in your Outlook 2010 program? There should be 5 options there.
    Check this article for details:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/change-how-the-original-message-appears-in-replies-and-forwards-HA102087334.aspx
If the option is not there in your Outlook program, create a new Outlook profile to test the issue:
    1. Exit Outlook.
    2. Go to Start > Control Panel, click or double-click Mail.
    3. Click Show Profiles. Choose Prompt for a profile to be used.
    4. Click Add.
    5. Type a name for the profile, and then click OK.
    6. Highlight the profile, and choose Properties. Then Email Accounts.., add your email account in the profile.
    7. Start Outlook, and choose this new profile.
If this problem does not occur in the new Outlook profile, the old Outlook is corrupted. We can delete that and use a new Outlook profile.
If the problem persists in the new profile, try to repair the Office program from control panel.
    Best Regards,
    Sally Tang

  • Preview Page Border

    Hello,
I need a little help with my .RTF template to populate page border. This topic is limited but I researched Thread: How to display 'page border' in PDF output file - RTF file contains border - which directs you to another Thread. I was not successful with the Table Border, it does not list the Page Border Art that my end-users currently are using in their Certificate template. I need help to populate this Page Border, has anyone done this before? I do not mind emailing my .RTF template and/or my .xml data also. Thanks for reading this Thead also.

    Hi Charles,
Ive come across situations too where complex page borders from MS word refuse to render correctly (or at all). One way to get around this is to use pre-printed stationery, particularly, in a case like yours where perhaps lots of certificates are used, with the same layout. preprinted stationery can be used, it will even cost less, as simple Black and white laser printer can do the rest rather than pay for blue and other colors toner.
I have set the RTF to render the output as desired, I have saved the page border you want as an image, and placed it as a background image, crude workaround, but it works, check out the pdf file i sent you :-)
