IWork 09 welcome video's

Hi,
Just got iWork 09 family licence as my wife has now purchased an Mac Book. Started to set it up for her but started pages up and didn't selected to display the start up video every time. She'd really like to just get a squint at this to help her move over from the PC apps. Is there anyway to get this option back????

Yes, you can call them up again from under the Help menu.

  • Does anyone know what software was used for Mac Welcome Video?

As you may remember when you turned your mac on for the first time, a ver neat welcome video played with upbeat music. Well I just wanted to know if anybody knew what program(s) was used to make it. If you know or have any idea please tell me. Thanks!

Hi and welcome to discussions. I tried to find something about it, but was not successful. I would guess though that this has been made using some of Apple's own software, everything else would not really make sense. And there actually is one tool in the portfolio capable of creating something like that: Motion. So, as an educated guess, I would say that's the one.

  • I do not have the Firefox button in the top left hand corner as shown in the welcome video. This button seems paramount to carry out many of the features. How do I get it?

In the welcome video there is an orange Firefox button in the top left hand corner - I do not have one. This button appears to be central to the use of Firefox.

The Firefox Button acts as an alternative to the regular menubar (File, Edit, View etc.), so if you can see the menu bar you're not missing any functionality.
On Windows XP the default is for the menubar to be shown instead of the Firefox button, but you can switch between the button and the menubar via the View -> Toolbars -> Menu bar option.
With the Button enabled, you can access the regular menubar by pressing the Alt key.

  • Where is the First Boot Welcome Video on OS X Lion located?

Is the video which says Welcome in different languages (the first time you boot up your mac) in OS X Lion? If it is, where is it? If it isn't, can someone with the video email it to me at [email protected]? I will be very grateful for any replies!

I don't remember seeing a welcome video when I set up this macbook pro.
May not be there is one.

  • Can't get past the Welcome video - It loops over and over

    Short and skinny
    I bought a family pack
Installed on Intel iMac by clicking continue all the way through. Which makes it an upgrade right? That went flawlessly and all is good.
    Now the problem.
I have a Intel MacBook that I tried to install Leopard on. I did want a fresh install because I just wanted to start from scratch. So I changed the option to do that. Started the installed and got the big check mark at the end of it. When I went to click "Continue" and it froze up. The countdown timer stopped at 23 sec. left and it sat there for 10 mins. frozen. I held the power button till it shut down. Turned it back on. I got the welcome video and then it asked to select language for the install.
No matter what I did, once I clicked the mouse button to contine, the pin wheel spins for a few seconds and the video starts over again. I did it about 10 times and it never passed that point.
I restarted it a few times with the same results. I thought I would try and do another install from scratch. I restarted it again holding down the C key till I got the first screen of the install. It let me select the options I wanted and continued to the install. After about 15 mins. or so it stopped and a screen popped up with a bunch of code on it. Tried THIS about 2 more times and by now it was about 3am and I was tired. I shut it down and this is where I am at. Its at home and I can't mess with it till I get off work.
Any advice on what I might try when I get home about 8pm tonight will be most helpful.
    Thx, Jim

    Any help???

  • Office 365 ProPlus Disable Welcome Video

Guys - is there a way to disable the Office 365 ProPlus welcome video that displays on first use? The video/splash screen that welcomes them and talks about social sharing, OneDrive etc.
    thanks!

    Hi,
Please try to disable this in Group Policy Management Editor. If you didn't install the Office 2013 Administrative Template files, please download it here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35554
Using the Group Policy Management Editor go to User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Microsoft Office 2013 | First Run
Set the Disable First Run Movie to Enabled. You can also configure Disable Office First Run on application boot
to Enabled to disable the first run info.
    Hope this helps.

  • No Welcome Video or Registration

    Hello,
While this is a minor problem compared to some of the rough stories I see upon a quick search (which also yielded nothing in relation to my topic) it still ****** me off. Upon upgrading from Tiger to Leopard, the welcome video did not play. I was quite looking forward to it. I was going to reinstall, but now I do not have enough hard drive space to do so. I thought maybe the video only played for entirely new computers and not upgrades, but I saw a few youtube videos that showed upgrades and showed the welcome video, followed by a registration and some software updates, which I also did not get.
Given a quick glance, everything seems to have installed fine, but having the video not play gives me a sort of unsatisfied/maybe something didn't go right feel. Anyone else experience this? Should I clear some space and reinstall?

If you have an external HD, just pretend you are installing on it, up to the movie. Then trash it.
Reinstalling Leopard just to see a movie is courting danger

  • Where is the "welcome" video?

On my MacBooks first start, there was a little welcome video that is used to set up the laptop, does anyone know the name of it? I'm trying to find it in spotlight.

    Have a look at
    /System/CoreServices/Setup Assisiant/Contents/Resources/TransitionSection.bundle/Contents/Resources/intro. mov
Not sure if it will work (I am on a PC at the moment)
    I got this from http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=67316.

  • To delete or at least to mute the Welcome video in...

    Hi:
I would like how I can delete (or at least mute) the Nokia Welcome Video that appears after you enter your PIN in a N70.
I did change the welcome to a personal message, but the Welcome Video keeps appearing everytime I enter the PIN.
    Thanks

Tony T1. Thanks that's great for my Desktop. Do you know the answer for how to do the same thing on the iPad 2?

  • Restore MBPro to boot to Welcome video

I'm selling my rMBPro and wanted to restore it so that it booted to the original Apple "Welcome" video, but I can't see to get there.
The rMBPro came with Lion and I upgraded to Mountain Lion, and after a couple of restores from the RECOVERY drive when I reboot it goes straight to the Country screen, skipping the "Welcome" intro altogether.
    Any way to remedy?
    Thx,

Press Command, Option and R keys in boot, open Disk Utility, erase the disk and install. When the install finishes, shut down the Mac

  • How-to replay the Leopard Welcome video

Having just reinstalled Leopard I was reminded of the Welcome video. I would like to replay this video for some friends. My hope is someone here may tell me how I may replay this without reinstalling - it is not worth it to me to reinstall.
    Cheers!

Open the Hard Drive, click on
System>Library>Core Services (Has an X on it)
Scroll Down to Setup Assistant and right click it. Select Show Package Contents.
    Click on Contents>Resources.
    Show Package contents for TransitionSection.bundle
    Click on Contents>Resources
The audio and video are seperate and are called intro.mov and intro-sound.mp3

  • Temporarily bypass welcome video

I am preparing a Mini for sale and want to give the new owner an "as new" experience.
Is there any way to bypass the welcome video one time to install iLife for the new owner?

You can use QuickTime Pro to combine the video and sound into a playable movie and possibley add it to the login or startup items. I haven't tried it in Leopard, but did combine the one in Tiger; however, I never tried it as a startup item.

  • Apple Welcome Video effects

I have seen a few videos on YouTube that has the same effect/transition that the apple welcome video has. Does anyone know where this effect/transition can be found? For reference, the video can be found on LikeTotallyAwesome channel.

not by me.. why not simply posting the direct URL of a specfic video?
in case, yor meant those 'flying Welcome' title - no, that can not be accomplished by a 20$ consumer app .. usually, pro-tools as AfterEffects or Motion are in use. with some endurance and 'fiddling' you could reenact such an effect with FinalCut/LiveType ..

  • Tiger "Welcome" video: how has it been made?

    Hi all!
I was wondering what software has Apple used to produce the Welcome video, played the first time you start Tiger?
    Can Motion 2 do this?
    Thanks
PS: I didn't find a specific forum to post it, so I've put it here

Motion would have a little hard time doing this... with the 3d nature of the video. I'd say it was done in AfterEffects if I had to guess.

  • Leopard welcome video.

Hi, dunno where to post this, but what program did apple use to make the leopard "welcome" video, its probably way outta my league, but I would like to know what I should start working on. (I'll take a guess though and say its some version of final cut studio? I'm a PC - unfortunately. but I still wanna know.) Thanks (:

As far as I know, from Mac OS X Tiger 10.4 to Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6,
    they are stored in:
    System/Library/CoreServices/SetupAssistant
    /Contents/Resources/TransitionSections.bundle
    /Contents/Resources
*the 'SetupAssistant' and 'TransitionSections.bundle' have to be opened by right-clicking / control clicking to choose 'Show Package Contents'
