IWork for iOS 6

Can I get iWork for iOS 6 anywhere? I would not like to update to iOS 7 on my iPAD 2, which the versions on the App Store require.

I have the older (iOS 6) versions of the iWork Suite archived on my PC and they run just fine on my iOS 6.1.3 iPad 3rd Gen and iPad 4th Gen units. I believe if you own the iWork suite and have an iOS 6 device, you will still have access to those older versions via the App Store. Of course the iOS 7 versions will NOT run on iOS 6 devices but I believe you will be offered to download the newest version(s) that support your iOS 6 device.

  • Improvements for IWork  for iOS

I write to suggest improving your IWork  for ios application.
The applications are very good, but lacks some important features that would help iPad -Iphone users to work better.
    These absences are:
    NUMBERS:
    - filters
    - sort by more criteria
    - categories
    - better use when a keyboard is attached in the iphone or iPad, it is no neccesary that the virtual keyboard appears all the time, please, let the user choose if he considers it is neccesary
    - Landscape view in iphone
    - Support for more functions
    - Capacity to open bigger spreadsheets
I suggest to checo out the Polaris Office application, this one has some functions that are lacking in Numbers.
    PAGES:
Please, a better way to insert: page jump, tab, etc. Maybe a button in the Toolbar.
IWORK FOR IPHONE: Besides the requirements listed above: a undo-redo button, because, it is very unconfortable to the user, shake his iphone when he has to undo or redo a lot of actions.
    Thanks And
    Best regards

  • Does anyone know if iWork for iOS can be used on both iPhone 4S and iPad 2? If I bought Pages, say, could I use it on both devices? Thanks

It is the same version. So the iWork package will work on both, but Siri will only work on the iPhone 4S. So you could dictate on that, and use iCloud to finish the document on your iPad (assuming you have both). Cheers

  • IWork for iOS not syncing via iCloud

Our new iMac came with the “free” iWork for OSX apps, so I decided to give iCloud syncing between OSX and IOS devices another try.
I went to iCloud.com and created a simple document in Pages, Numbers and Keynote. I then checked to see if these three documents “showed up” on our iMac, MBP, iPhone 5s and iPad mini. Syncing the three iWork documents worked fine on the iMac and MBP. But the syncing results to iWork iOS apps on our iPhone and iPad were pretty abysmal. In both cases only ONE (out of three) of the iWork apps synced: Keynote on the iPad and Pages on the iPhone.
Since at least one of the documents synced correctly on each of the iOS devices, I obviously have the right iCloud account info., etc. And I assure you that all three apps had/have their little green switches/sliders set to “on" in the Settings>iCloud>Documents and Data. Two days should be enough time to sync even on a slow internet connection. Syncing iWork for IOS documents was working before I turned off iCloud>Documents and Data syncing several months ago because I didn’t have iWork for OSX at the time and had no need to sync iWork documents between the iPhone and iPad.
So what gives? Interestingly the two iWork for iOS apps that synced correctly, were the only apps that asked to use iCloud when they launched. And these were the only two apps that had not been launched since their last update. Could it be that iWork for IOS apps don’t pay attention to changes in the iCloud Documents and Data sync settings if syncing has been previously turned off?

Numbers and Pages are not syncing with iCloud on my iPhone or iPad, except for one occurrence in five days. Changed documents sit there with an arrow icon.
Hardware is iPhone 5S running iOS 7.1.2 and iPad Air running 7.1.2
Latest update of Numbers and Pages. I deleted and reinstalled Numbers on the iPad without any change however this did seem to bring the esisting documents down to the device from iCloud.
I have an internet connection. I have tried turning 4G on and off, setting up a hotspot on either device so that the other has a wireless connection but this has not fixed the problem.
I have tried restarting both devices.
i have tried turning Use iCloud off but this only worked once.
Data roaming is on and cellular data is on on both devices.
Settings/iCloud/Documents & Data/Numbers is turned on and Settings/iCloud/Documents & Data/Pages is turned on on both devices.
Settings/Numbers/Use iCloud is on and Settings/Pages/Use iCloud is on on both devices.
Looking at Settings/iCloud/Manage Storage/Numbers shows there are documents.
i am currently travelling, hence the 3G/4G. At home, on my wireless network (based on an ADSL connection) it will often sync sporadically enough that it is not much of an issue, just an irritation. However this total lack of syncing over the past five days is getting to be pretty unamusing.

To be able to use documents at iCloud.com, you need at least one iOS device that uses the same account with at least one of the iWork apps installed.

  • How do I access iwork for ios docs stored in icloud on all ios devices

How do I access ios-iwork icloud docs on all my ios devices?
ios 7.1.2 on all ios devices. Have zero access to my icloud docs on mobile devices since ios 7.0.

Make sure you are signed in to iCloud using the same AppleID as used for the files.
Settings app > iCloud > Documents&Data. Make sure each of the iWorks apps is turned on.
Go to the settings for each app and make sure (Use iCloud)
For 2 or 3 above, if they are already on, turn them off and then back on.

  • IWork for iOS

I purchased iWork from Apple for my MacBook Pro about a year ago and have been using it without any issues. I didn't purchase iWork from the AppStore but rather received it in the mail. I have an iPhone and now would like to have it on my iOS device but it says I need to purchase the app. Do I really have to purchase the app for my iOS device? I read on the apple website that if I purchase one then I can use it on all Mac devices. Any ideas? I checked the AppStore on my computer and it says I don't have the apps but I can load them no problem.

    One question guys:
I will buy the new ipad but i need to be sure that I can use numbers to run my worksheets made before, how I can do it that? throught itunes?
    thanks!!

  • IWork for iOS 'internet connection' message...

This was not a problem before the latest iOs 7.1 update.
Every one of the iWork apps now states exactly as follows "Opening (App_name) Help requires an Internet connection". Selecting Help in the menu or the Learn More balloon from active Coaching tips turned on gives same response. It doesn't matter where I log into wifi (home/work). Proven, working net connection. No changes made from BEFORE update to AFTER update.
    What gives?

  • The new iCloud Drive "Document Picker" doesn't show up in iWork for iOS 8 (Vers. 2.4.2)

    Am I doing something wrong?
I only see the "old" view, which shows the files located in the "Pages", "Numbers" and "Keynote" Folder in iCloud Drive.
    Thank you!
    Alex

That's because the Mac version of Pages hasn't been updated for iCloud compatibility, only the iOS versions have.
Currently you have to manually upload and download Mac Pages documents at http://www.icloud.com/ for them to "sync" with the iOS version.

  • Does iWork for iOS allow me to open and edit documents created in the Microsoft Office suite?

    Hi all,
I have just purchased an iPad 2 32Gb. I want to be able to use it for work.
I need to be able open and edit documents created in Microsoft Office. Primarily .doc and .docx files. Is this possible? or am I better with D2 or Documents to Go.
Also, can I save a document attachment from an email and open it on my iPad for reviewing and editing?
    Cheers
    Mr Bunyip?

Yes, "pages.app" will open these files. In the same manner "numbers.app" will open xls, xlsx and "keynote.app" will open powerpoint files.
iwork09 files from a Mac can also be opened. And you can save each files back in various file formats, also save them  as pdf.
Also, can I save a document attachment from an email and open it on my iPad for reviewing and editing?
Yes. "open in .." then a suitable app is in the list : say you get a docx, then pages will be presented as app to open it.
    Cheers
    Mr Bunyip?
    Enjoy it.

  • How do I add a comment to a cell in Numbers for iCloud beta like I can in Numbers for ios???

I can't be the only person to find it incredibly frustrating that it seems impossible to add a comment to a cell in beta. I use this function a lot on my ipad - is it really not available in beta?? And if not, why not??

    Hey lolitajoon,
Thanks for the question. You are correct, comments are hidden from all iWork apps when imported to iWork for iCloud beta. Please note that the current release of Numbers for iCloud is a beta version. Therefore, certain features aren’t yet supported.

  • Transpose a column to a row in Numbers for IOS

I want to transpose a column to a row in Numbers for IOS, and none of the usual formulas are working. Any thought?

In Numbers '09 (the current Mac OS X version) the formula below will transpose rows and columns. The transposition is to a second table, and transposes entered data and the results of formulas.
    =OFFSET(Table 1::$A$1,COLUMN()-1,ROW()-1)
If this solution does not work in Numbers for iOS, I'd suggest reposting in the iWork for iOS community. This area is for Numbers for Mac OS X topics.

    Barry
