Iwork isn't installing

i'm new to this apple computer, i got it from a friend.
i'm trying to install iwork and trying to connect to my app store. it keeps wanting me to put my bank details in so i do that and apparently i needed to make a payment and that it's failed. what do i do.

iwork '09 will not remove '08. You will need to do that manually. There are pieces/parts in applications; home/library/application support; library/receipts; library/application support and perhaps some others.
I would suggest first saving any custom templates you use. Templates are in user/application support/iwork. Save them to your desktop. Then download easyfind from www.devon-technologies.com (under downloads at the bottom of the page under freeware). Then do a search in easyfind for iwork and delete folders and files that it locates. Then install '09. You should be good to go.

This has nothing to do with your pictures. As long as LR works, nothing happens. The CC app merely has lost an entry in the installer database. Would a reinstall fix it? Sure. Is it necessary? Not really (until the next version or update). So unless you have too much time to spend or something isn't working, I'm sure you can find more interesting things to do with your tiem. Otherwise use the cleaner tool and get to it:

  • ICloud will not Sign Out of Windows 8.1 and Outlook isn't Installed

I haven't had a single problem with iCloud on any of my devices until today. I want to change my e-mail address and I have been able to prepare everything except my laptop. I am entirely unable to log out of my iCloud account and I am also unable to uninstall it because it has to be logged out first. I keep getting an error message stating "Outlook configuration problem. Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile. Check your Outlook settings and try again." I have looked through many different forums and they all seem to suggest there is a syncing issue with Outlook, but I don't use Outlook and it isn't installed on my laptop or desktop computers.
I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

    Hi,
Please follow the steps below to make sure the reminders have been enabled in Outlook:
On the File tab, click Options.
Select Advanced in the Outlook Options dialog box.
In the Reminders section, select Show reminders.
    Click OK.

As mentioned in the thread, you can try these steps:
Use MFCMAPI to delete the Reminders Folder, then run "outlook.exe /resetfolders" to recreate this folder:

  • If I can't find the start up disks, is there anyway to get iWork back after installing a new hard drive?

I had to install a new hard drive because my orginal one crashed. When I bought my macbook, iWork came pre-installed. Now with a new hard drive I would like iWork back on my computer, but can't find the start up disks, assuming I'd be able to do it that way. Is there anyway I can contact Apple and have them give me the iWork software?
(Overall, very upset about this since my macbook is only 2 years old and I lost everything. A friend of mine has been working on it for 3 weeks trying to recover some data.)

    - Did you restore from a backup that contained the photos?
    - The backup only contains photos in the iPod's Camera Roll album. It does not included photos synced to the iPod.
    - All you can do is try restoring from backup again.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • IWork '09 Trial Install Help

I downloaded iWork '09 Trial Install twice and there is an icon on my screen but I can not get into iWork. When I click on the icon it only gives me the option to re-install not enter the trial program. Any ideas? I have a MAC OS X.

iWork is a series of Applications that includes Pages, Numbers & Keynote. If you want to run one of those apps you can navigate to the Applications folder and locate it or use Spotlight to start it. Personally I prefer Spotlight, just click the spotlight icon in the upper right of this screen (it looks like a magnifying glass) and type Pages or Numbers or Keynote depending on the app you want to run. The keyboard shortcut for Spotlight is Command + Spacebar.
Another way to open one of the apps is if you have an Applications folder on your Dock you can navigate to the iWork 09 folder click it and then choose the app  you want to run.

  • Uninstall iWork '08 before installing iWork '09?

What's the official / recommended way of doing things? Are you supposed to uninstall iWork '08 before installing iWork '09. I installed iWork '09 on a MacBook, but it didn't replace iWork '08. It installed alongside it.
Is there a proper way of uninstalling iWork '08, or do you simply drag the iWork '08 folder (containing the 3 apps) to the Trash?

You're not going to find an "official" way to delete from the other users here, but we can give our recommendations. Uninstalling is as easy as dragging the whole iWork '08 folder to the Trash & emptying the Trash. You can also use some third-party app deleting programs such as AppZapper.
For the moment, I have iWork '06, '08 & '09 installed on my MacBook Pro. I'm waiting for my boxed version of iWork '09 to arrive before installing it on my iMac. I want to see how installing from the CD/DVD is different than installing over the trial. I have not had '08 & '09 both open at the same time yet, but I have had '06 & '08 open at the same time in the past.

  • It says it isn't installed

when i click on itunes it says it isn't installed, and when i try to download an new version it says it cannot find the files to install . so then i tried to uninstall it and i got the same message cannot locate files
some one please tell me how to fix this!!!
    thank you

    Thank you kindly.
With that one, let's try the following procedure.
First, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. If it goes, good. If it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to iTunes.
Next, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility.
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
Launch Windows Installer CleanUp ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"), find any iTunes and/or QuickTime entries in the list of programs in CleanUp, select those entries, and click “remove”.
Next, we'll manually remove any leftover iTunes or QuickTime program files:
    (1) Open Local Disk (C:) in Computer or whichever disk programs are installed on.
    (2) Open the Program Files folder.
    (3) Right-click the iTunes folder and select Delete and choose Yes when asked to confirm the deletion.
    (4) Right-click the QuickTime folder and select Delete and choose Yes when asked to confirm the deletion. (Note: This folder may have already been deleted if QuickTime was successfully removed using Add/Remove Programs earlier.)
    (5) Delete the QuickTime and QuicktimeVR files located in the C:\Windows\system32\ folder. Click Continue if Windows needs confirmation or permission to continue. (Note: These files may have already been deleted if QuickTime was successfully removed using Add/Remove Programs earlier.)
    (6) Right-click on the Recycle Bin and on the shortcut menu, click Empty Recycle Bin.
    (7) Restart your computer.
Now try another iTunes 7.5 install. Does it go through properly? If so, does iTunes start opening for you properly again?

  • Nvidia (Quadro K2000) Driver isn't installed during OSD (Task Sequence succeeded) - HP Z620

    Hi everyone,
I have added a driverset (HP Z620) in SCCM for the first time using our internal procedure (Importing Drivers to SCCM, Create Driver package with specific category, apply driver package in TS using WMI to query for the model).
The Task Sequence succeeded, but the NVIDIA K2000 Graphics driver isn't installed (only HD Graphics 4000 driver).
Looking at the drivers in the Driver Package, this should normally apply since the driver is compatible with this specific GPU.
At the forums, I can see that some people have created a seperate package for the GPU driver installation using command line switches.. But looking at the environment at the customer, we have never done this and in the past, we have succesfully installed
the driver for this GPU before.
PS: The driver for the GPU in my new driver package (HP Z620) isn't the same as for previous models (HP Z220, Z230, Z600).
Could you please advise me what to do? Should I have added something in the driver sources before importing the driver to SCCM?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kind regards

    Hi
I m installing Nvidia (Quadro K2000) Driver during OSD (Task Sequence succeeded) - HP Z420
Remove the Graphics driver for NVIDIA from the current driver database
Added below task in the existing task sequence as invidual installation based on the Condition (WMI query)
    Command Line
    HP_Z420_Graphics_x64\Win64_332_50\setup.exe -s -k -clean -noeula
This will install the desired driver and related configurable components
    WMI Query
select * from win32_ComputerSystem where manufacturer like '%hewlett%' and model like '%z420%'
Currently I m looking out for the Errors codes needed to add to this task . Success codes 3010 and 0 already added

  • HT5246 How to know if Java isn't installed

I am new to Apple. How can you know that Java isn't installed when it is listed under Applications/Utilities/Java preferences regardless of whether it requests the Java runtime?  Can anyone clarify this for me? Would like to know whether I need to use the tool.  Will I be able to use things requiriing Java after installing the Flashback malware remover?  Thx

If you open Java preferences and it asks you to download runtime, you do not have Java installed.  Today there is a new patch for those of us using Lion who do not have Java installed but may have picked up the infection elsewhere.  I understand that some have gotten it from bad Adobe Flash updates.  Software update will have the proper patch for you to use depending on whether or not you have Java installed.  Check for updates now!  As for Java, it is largely unnecessary, but if a web site requires it, you may need it.  Also, be sure to disable Java in your browsers, but keep Java Script enabled.

  • 'm trying to set my ipad and it said the required software isn't installed

I'm trying to set up my ipad dowload the new version of itunes and still when I connected it said that the required software isn't installed. Help

First, try resetting your iPad.  Hold the home and on/off buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.  Do this while not connected to iTunes on your computer.
If that does not help (it certainly won't hurt), let us know what version of iTunes you're running and on what type of computer (Windows or Mac).
