Iwork trial version

I tried downloading the trial version of iwork but nothing happened. When I clicked on dowload, it thanked me for downloading but nothing downloaded. Please help.

I'm not sure why it wasn't working for you, but I just tried it and it worked for me in both Safari and Chrome. It is probably your browser. Try the direct link to the disk image that should work.

Thanks for the prompt reply Michael... I tried restarting and downloading again and it didn't work. I bought the computer from an authorized apple retailer and it didn't come with the disk... perhaps they forgot it?

  • IWork DVD still demanding serial number after running iWork trial version

I had the trial version, it expired, and I loaded the DVD. It demanded the serial number every time.
I have read other posts and did all of the suggested file deletions, plus more (Applications, Library, Caches, etc... I just run searches for anything containing those roots). Is there another search I can run to find these obtrusive files?. Every time I reinstall the DVD it asks for the serial number. There has to be somewhere else there is a "trial" file. I have searched every file that includes "iwork" "pages" "numbers" "keynote" and found more than just the directories suggested. Even after emptying the trash, rebooting, etc... I load the DVD and it still asks for the serial number when I try to run any of programs.
This has to be a very common problem and I can't believe Apple hasn't fixed this in the iWork DVD software they give you!
Help! I can't use any of iWork!
MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.6.4)

I agree that you must be missing something you need to delete. It used to be that to update the trial to the licensed version with the box, you just inserted the DVD & ran the installer to convert the trial to licensed. This has changed with Snow Leopard. You now need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD. You should also use Disk Utility to repair permissions after installation.
    The files to delete are:
    1. the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications
    2. the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support
    3. the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (account name) > Library > Preferences for each user.

  • I can't delete the Pages trial version.

    Hello,
    I have a problem.
A time ago I downloaded the iWork trial version pack (for 30 days free),
I decided to buy Pages quicker then in those 30 days. So now I have the real pages version and the trial version on my computer.
The problem is now, that it's not letting me to print/save anything because it's says I've still the trial version.. So i got two Pages right now. I can't get rid off the trial version one...
But i bought the "real" Pages in the App Store, so don't have any box with a license or stuff...
Can anyone please help me out?

  • How to uninstall iWork '09 (trial version) completely

I want to uninstall iWork '09 trial version completely. I deleted the folders, but there's something left with Mackeeper. Do I have to finish that Mackeeper thing?

    hi Anselm
to get rid of the fragments of the broken installation, you just have to drop the directories 'SAP' and 'sapdb' and then run <a href="http://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/softwaredownload?download=/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/business_packages/a1-8-4/nw/regcleantools.rar">registry clean tool</a>.

  • Why is the trial version of iWork '09 not accepting my boxed serial?

Recently my MBP crashed, which caused me to lose everything on there, including my iWork software.
My install disc is in another country and I won't be there for at least a few months. I have the serial number, but the trial version of iWork I downloaded doesn't seem to be taking it.
    Then again, it says:
If you've purchased an iWork '09 box, install from the DVD and follow the onscreen instructions. If you purcharsed a serial number for iWork '09 from an Apple Online store, the serial number was emailed to you.
Does this mean that 'boxed serials' (not to be confused with boxed cereals) won't work on the downloaded trial version of iWork?

As Fruhulda wrote, there is no serial number for the in_a_box iWork '09 so what you wrote is inaccurate !
If you have a serial number, it's not related to the in_a_box iWork '09.
Are you sure that what you had is iWork '09 ?
If your serial number is one related to iWork '08, it's normal that it doesn't apply to the iWork '09 trial.
If it's that, you may get the iWork '08 trial on my iDisk (address below)
    Download :
    For_iWork:iWork '08:iWork08Trial.dmg
I wish to add that before installing the in_a_box iWork '09, we must remove every files related to the trial version.
This is why I delivered an uninstall script.
Go to my iDisk (address below)
    Download :
    For_iWork:iWork '09:uninstall iWork '09.zip
expand it and run the script.

  • Using iwork '05 after using trial version of iwork '06

As a teacher, I do lots of lessons in Keynote 2.0.2 A 30 day trial version of iwork '06 (including an updated Keynote) came with my recent purchase of ilife '06. Now that the 30 days has expired, I can't open Keynote files I used during those 30 days. The message is: "The document was created with a later version of Keynote."
I had assumed that a trial version would not make my current files inaccessible. Can I convert these files back to Keynote 2.0.2 ?

You can't save back to K2 without having a working version of K3. If you were using K3 all along, then why don't you just buy it?

  • Trouble converting iWorks trial to full version

    Hi folks,
Background:  I have a macbook pro, upon which I installed iWorks trial many months ago.  I've only just gor around to attempting to click on the links provided to buy the full version. I suspect I'm running into difficulties because I've notice that support for the iWorks trial was withdrawn in April.  I'm seemingly unable to upgrade to full version and am only seeing options to purchase Pages, Numbers etc., separately.
Question/concern:  My question is whether or not I should uninstall the trial version (which I don't yet know how to do) and start over, than attempt to download these individual products, as I'm not sure whether this will interfere with what's already on my MacBook Pro.  Any advice about this appreciated.
    Cheers,
    CB

Easiest way to uninstall iWork is to use Yvan's script
You cannot completely delete iWork by moving the iWork '09 folder to the Trash. Instead, use Yvan Koenig's script:
              •          Go to http://www.box.com/s/00qnssoyeq2xvc22ra4k
              •          Choose public_YK > for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items
              •          Click on uninstall iWork '09.zip, decompress it, open it in AppleScript Editor and click the Run button
Then you can buy and download the application from  the Mac App Store, if you have MAcOs 10.6.6 or newer.

  • Did the iWork trial, bought numbers but can't export the work i did in the original version of works

i used the trial version of iworks & wrote ou a spreadshet in it. After the 30 days had elapsed, i bought the current version of numbers & have since tried to email / copy sections or the full spreadsheet that i originally produced & it is refusing to export the data & asking me to purchase iwork. i only wanted numbers in the 1st place, do i now have to purchase iwork (including numbers again) to get at my spreadsheet?
    thank  you

    Hi pottsie,
No. You have to remove all traces of the iWork trial—the iWork folder and its contents, and several supporting files created by the iWork applications (but not the files created by you).
The easiest method of doing that is to download and run the AppleScript "uninstall iWork '09", availavle from Yvan Koenig's Box account. Click the link, then click For_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items> uninstall iWork '09.zip.
After the file is downloaded, locate it and double click the icon to unpack the zip file.
Open the folder that appears and double click the uninstall file inside. It will open in the Scipt Editor.
Click Run to run the script and delete the iWork trial and supporting files.
You will likely have to download and reinstall the Numbers '09 file from the Mac app store. As you have already purchased it, that download will be free.

    Barry

  • Mac OS X v10.5: iWork: How do I get the trial version?

This is my second try with a MAC (former PC user) so I did not accept the trail version of IWorks when I started up my MAC for the first time. Is there anyway of getting the trail version now?

You can also download it from www.apple.com/iwork/trial/

  • Where has the trial version of iWork 08 gone?

When iWork 08 came out, I downloaded the trial version of the software. Then, I bought a Serial Key Number. So far so good.
Recently, I wanted to install iWork on another Macbook, but lost the original
pkg or dmg (not sure which one it was). So I tried to download the trial version again and unlock it with the already bought key.
    But on the site
    http://www.apple.com/iwork/trial/
there is no link to the software anymore.
    Where did it gone?

The link is right there with the graphic taking up the upper left of the page.

  • Iwork 06 trial version

i purchased ilife 06 which included a trial version of iworks 06. i have iworks 05 installed on my g5 with isight. i hesitated to install the trial version thinking it would somehow mess up my 05 version, but the instructions stated it wouldn't affect previously installed versions. now how do i get rid of the trial version? main problem is that if i put it in the trash, i can't read ppt downloads cause keynote 3 has set itself as the default reader/player for ppt. how do i reset 05 as my default program instead of 06 so that ppt automatically opens with keynote 2? oh, i tried to reinstall 05 with my cd, but it concluded that there was nothing to add, etc. many thanks
    imac g5 isight   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

iWork06 was preloaded on my MBP, at least I thought it was. Turns out it was only the Trial Version. How deceiving is that?!
I bought iWork05 and installed it, but all my documents default to open with iWork06, even after I "change all" in the Info window, just like the originator of this discussion. I read the Discussion Group and know that I need to "Uninstall" iWork06. But, I can't figure out how to "Uninstall" an application in Tiger! OS Help doesn't help, neither does Pages Help, neither does Apple Support Website search engine! I figure that if I just drag the application icon to the Trash, remnants of the program will persist in the registry, or whatever you call it now, preferences, etc, and maybe it won't even allow me to reset the default application to iWork05 version.

  • Decided not to buy iwork '09 after downloading trial version, now what?

I downloaded the trial version and decided it was not worth $80 (call me cheap, but I'm a student, thats a lot of money). Anyway, during the 30 day trial I created many documents (some over 100 pages). I thought I was saving them as pages 08 docs, but obviously I did something wrong because none of them will open in the 08 version.
While this is probably obvious to most, I have only recently switched to a mac. The only way I can edit/save is to open up the (read only) version in pages 09 and then copy/paste it to a new 08 document.
I have about 200 documents I created in the 09 version and the whole copy/paste routine would not bother me, except when I paste the text, the formatting gets so messed up. So, the question now is...if I were to delete the 09 version, what is going to happen to all of my documents?? Right now, I have to run both versions at the same time in order to find anything, clearly an inefficient system.
I am getting really frustrated and hope that someone can figure out what I am talking about. I never would have tried the trial version if I knew this would happen. I feel like apple is coercing me into purchasing their software.

    Hi wmlaw2011,
    Welcome to Pages '09 discussions.
If Badunit's suggestion doesn't work for you then you have two choices, purchase iWork '09 or, find someone that has iWork '09 then for all your files ask them to do File > Save as Pages '08.
Student from the beginning of time complained about finances however, they always found the money to do the important things that needed to be accomplish; parties, games, dates, eating out, shopping, etc.. So in my opinion $80 isn't a big deal

  • Can't find iWork free trial version

    Hi
I've been looking for the iWork free trial version download without success.
    I found Aperture's.

    Hi Kyn
Thanks for the tip. I installed it and could start evaluating it.
One of my issues is that the iMac display dimensions are non-standard and hence by default a presentation in PowerPoint of Keynote doesn't use the complete width. I found by chance the way to adapt the presentation proportions to the monitor.
