I purchased the iWorks program for my Mac.... am I able to sync this to my iPad 2 or do I have to purchase everything again.

You are in luck, there is just now a universal version of Pages for iOS for both iPad and iPhone, but you will have to buy it from the iTunes App Store.
Apple confuses matters by calling separate software the same name.
They may look similar but they even have different features.

Unfortunately Firefox Home only receives information and doesn't upload anything. That said, if you still have the Recovery key you can save your data if that's in our servers: [[How do I add a device to Firefox Sync?]]

Correct. To do it, your Mac must be running Mountain Lion and Pages '09 with the most recent version. To check the OS X version you have, open > About this Mac, and check the version. If it's 10.8, you are running Mountain Lion. Then, you just have to open System Preferences > iCloud, and tick "Documents and Data".
If you aren't running Mountain Lion, you can still share documents between the iPad and the Mac, you can access to the documents created in the iPad in http://www.icloud.com, logging in with your Apple ID, and selecting iWork. Also, you can upload documents from the computer -

I'm getting error messages when I download updates for lightroom and flash for the mac. can't figure out how to trouble shoot.
It sounds as if your browser and some of your apps are not color-managed. This is pretty typical. Even IE9 is only partially color-managed.
You can expect color-managed and non-color-managed applications to show you different things with the same images. How different will depend upon how different your monitor color profile is from the image's color profile.
For web publication and most general use, experts usually advise saving images with the sRGB profile. If such images, saved through the Save for Web & Devices function, look different to you than you expect, it may be that your input images have previously been saved in another color space.
You should really try to get your head around color-management by reading more on it. It can seem baffling and it's difficult to understand without some background. A quick web search turns up many overviews. Beware, though, even people writing articles sometimes don't fully understand it.

Thank you for suggesting the link. it seems the problem was even simpler than I had thought had I read the FAQ link of the iCal/me upgrade notification ... Apple's latest version of iCal simply does not support versions of the iOS earlier than 4.2. The device I had been using was a first generation touch... Still working ... with out error in good condition despite having been to hades and back... But no longer supported by the newer versions of the iOS and the .ME ical application...
Another beautiful but orphaned device:-(. Like the absence of support for "ancient" apple operating systems, including their more interesting applications, it is simply no longer supported...one must move on to purchase new hardware and it's associated software to keep up with the evolving cloud os. The blank screen ical problem, on the touch, was corrected by performing the standard start up reboot procedure...with no loss of data and a return of the screen interface in the end. Again another example of the really outstanding past efforts to make robust system products. I will try to put my old touch to good use in its new " retirement" status ...use it some where else, like my original 128k Mac ( that still works as well!). Guess it is time to purchase a newer tool ;-)

Downloaded mavericks for one mac can i use the same download to install on another mac
I have downloaded for 12 hours initial installation on one mac for mavericks, and all installed successfully. Rather than download again for another mac, can I use the same download and copy on to the other mac..and if yes, where will I find it?
All you need to do is go to System Preferences > App Store and uncheck the automatic install of updates box, then download the Mavericks installer, and copy to a flash drive. You will need a flash drive of 8 G B or more since the installer is around 5.3 GB. The installer will be in Finder > Applications. You can then copy that flash drive installer to the Applications folders in all the Macs you have that are capable of running Mavericks, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5842.
When the installer runs, the last step in the installtion is for the installer to erase itself. So makng a copy before the installer runs is essential if you want to avoid redownloading.
Installing from the same installer does not cause problems for Macs on the same network. -
