IWorks not purchased in app store, now I have to pay again for the apps??
Long ago I purchased iWork together with my laptop (macbook pro). Now, I get a message in Pages, Numbers and Keynote that there is a new version available. So I wanted to download it, but the app store makes me pay for them! The full price! Why? The app store does recognise that I have the iWorks apps, but says I didn't purchase them in the app store, so I have to pay for them again! This is really stupid, does anyone know how this is possible? And what I can do to update without having to pay a lot of money to buy all the three apps again?
There are several reasons why the updates don't show as free for those who already have iWork '09 installed.
1. You must have iWork '09 apps installed & they must be updated to the x.3 version. You can also download the standalone updater from this page.
2. If you are not using English as the primary language for your Mac, change to English & run Software Update. You can then switch back to your preferred language.
3. Go to Mac App Store (MAS) > Click on Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads. You will need to individually click into each application > Click update > enter in your Apple ID & password and then it will start updating.
4. Open App Store on your Mac & look at the buttons under Keynote, Pages & Numbers. If it does not say “Update” click Account under Quick Links, enter your password & click “View Account.” Next, click the “Reset” button to the right of “Reset all warnings for buying and downloading” at the bottom of this page, & click Done. Check your updates tab & iWork & iLife updates should now appear.
These are the ones I've seen work for others.

I purchased keynote for my iphone 5 at Christmas and it worked great. I recently purchased an ipad mini and tried to upload keynotes onto it. However, the app store are trying to charge me again £6.99! I thought the purchase covered all mobile devices? I am purchasing with the same user account so am baffled as to why I am being charged again.

If the app is compatible with both iPhone and iPad, then you can download it to any iPhone or iPad that the Apple ID used to purchase it is signed onto.
You can go to the App Store on the iPad, then to your Purchased Items. Click on "Not on this iPad", and you should see the app listed with a little cloud next to it. Tap on the cloud to download it.

I paid for pages, numbers & keynote for my ipad. Do I have to pay again to get these apps on my macbook air?
You do have to pay, but you're not paying again. iWork apps for OS X are not the same as the iOS versions.

Note 1: every day more users are reporting problems with iPhoto 8.1.2 so I've included it in the non compatible category.
Note 2: If your previous version of iPhoto was iPhoto 7 (08) or earlier you'll need to download and run the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 application on the library before opening it with iPhoto 9.5.1.

I bought a new iPad in July in USA and it was set up by the Apple store in Houston, now I can't access my apps store neither can I view all my purchased apps.
Secondly, every time it want to update my apps that I bought years ago, it tells me to go to Nigeria store. I don't know why I must change to a store to update my apps
Thirdly, I think it's unfair to pay the same amount of Money for an IPad with those in USA and the you can't even download the good apps. It seems the apps in the Nigeria store are those they don't want in the USA . Why can't we have the same quality apps considering we paid the same amount of money to buy this iPads. I think this is very unfair to us.The apps available to you are dependent on your location. If you are not in the USA, then you cannot get the USA app store. Whilst you may think that is unfair, it has been a part of the stardard terms and conditions you agreed to when you setup the iOS device in question originally, as well as every time you click agree to the terms and conditions.
This is done because of two things, firstly there are many legal and semi-legal reasons that an iOS app store download is available in one territory and not another, in addition to this, it also allows apple to provide language specific content, as well as team up with companies and organisations within individual organisations in order to provide you with exclusive offers, content, and information, which it would not otherwise be able to do.
Rules for the iOS app store are also applied in varing forms for the music store, the books store, and the iTunes U content library.
I can very much understand your fustraition, as someone who spent a considerable portion of his life, especially during the years he grew up, living in California, USA, but now living in London, UK, I too find it very fustraiting that you cannot always get the same content from one country to another, especially when most marketing for iOS apps originates in the USA these days.

That wasn't a very good idea. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another or merge Apple IDs. Not for anyone. All of the content that you got free or bought with the old ID is forever associated with that ID. You cannot redownload or update any of it without the old Apple ID.

I need help please. I have 6 apps updates shown on on the upper right corner of the app store icon. When i tried to open the apps store and go to updates, the apps that need to be updated were not appearing therefore i have no idea what those apps are so that i can update them. Apps previously purchased will continue to operate wherever you are. However; you'll not be able to update them other than by using the original purchase details. What this means is that you can only 'purchase' from a country's store if you have a valid credit card and residence of and in that country.

I changed my ID, now i have problem to up date the apps I purchased with old ID. What shoul i do?
Depends on what you mean by "changed", if edited your account on appleid.apple.com to use a different email then just ignore that fact it shows the old email and use your current password.
If you created a new appleid then those old apps will always stay associated with the old id, in that case you can only update them with the old password or uninstall them and then redownload them and they will be linked to your current id

I had an App on MacBook Air which would cause my computer to be locked. I delted it and reinstalled the App again from the AppStore. Now I am being charged again for the same App. How can I correct this issue and get refund for the double billing?
You can't gift it, gifting can only be done from within the store, not from within your library.

any app I download from the app store doesn't open. after I finished downloading the app I tap it to open but it crashes as soon as i finish downloading it. yes, the downloading process works but any app I download won't launch. pls help

Install the v10.6.6 combo update available here. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.6. The combo includes fixes that were not included in the original update.

Restart your Mac and try the MAS again.
You can download apps directly from the MAS once you have it running.
Considering the TM backup took so long, make sure there's enough space on your Mac startup disk.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. *Make sure you always have a minimum of 15% free disk space.*

while trying to access my local network I get the message..."The page could not be opened because server cannot be found." This, after updating to Yosemite and paying (again) for the server app.
It's absolutley scandalous that a company with Apple's resources can let this happen. They should have staggered the release by region rather than opening the flood gates. The upgrade itself took me about 10 attempts to download it, and then I thought I was home free. That was until it rebooted and won't activate. It's over 2 hours now.
