IWorks Pages sync

Despite best efforts Pages refuses to sync with previous version Docs. Problem occurred since ios 7 update. What can I do?

A recent update from io6 to ios7 on my iPad Mini has rendered iWork's; Pages, numbers and keynote unable to sync. I have a iPad 2 which still runs ios6 and pages without problem.
Www. iCloud.com lists all my documents is I know their not lost. Just cannot migrate them to iPad mini. Tried Reset, iCloud is on, documents is on, Pages iCloud is on. What to do?
Pages also will not allow docs via email to be uploaded and worked on. Very frustrating.
Noticed my password for iCloud is wrong which when I input the correct one defaults back to previous (and incorrect one).

Most recent version of mountain lion updated over a month ago. New iPad in use for over a month.

The same thing is happening to me, Mail was fine about an hour ago and now is rejecting correct password. Typical when today I'm waiting some important emails!

External Hyperlink behavior in iBooks ePub created with iWork Pages

I am new at ePup publishing. I'm using iWork pages and exporting to ePub. Things were going great until........
I started playing with the hyperlinks in my ePub book in iBooks. I am doing this with an iPad and an iPod Touch. I'm in iBooks, I click on the link, the Safari browser opens and displays the page. As far as I know, I have to close the browser window to get back to the book. I do this by pressing the home button on the device. Now I have a blank screen. I have to open iBooks again to get back to the book.
This is a bunch of work for the reader of my book, I want them to see a bunch of images. this is awful. It is not acceptable.
Is this an ePub problem or an iBook reader problem? My guess is iBooks but I'm not sure
The system should have the facility to look at the external page within iBooks and press an X button to close it so the reader can continue reading.
So now I'm thinking I will need to go back and insert all the images in my book. I think I will proceed to do this once I know for sure there is no better course of action.
Smart and knowledgeable people, please tell me, is there a better way to let my reader see images without a bunch of button pressing?

iBooks only syncs purchased books. Others must be synced in iTunes.

Using iWork pages for note taking - Outline Mode

I am trying to find a good way to take notes in an organized fashion. The other week a friend of mine was using an outline mode in microsoft office and looked to be a great way to organize his notes. I wanted to do something similair on my mac, and it appears that iWork Pages will support the Harvard outline function which is great, and also it'll sync in the cloud, so if I'm on my ipad, it'll save to the cloud, if I'm on my iMac it'll save to the cloud. I only have one hiccup, when I use my iPad, it doesn't seem to recognize my outline that I'm using in iWork on my iMac. I'll start typing on my iPad and it's like the outline doesn't even exist.
So my question is, is there an outline feature for pages for iOS? I want my notes to be seamless wheather I'm working in my iMac or iPad.
Please help!

i dont think pages for iOS does exactly what your looking for. If i were you i would just google outline apps for iPad. There are some highly rated ones that use icould sync, as well as other methods and services. Those are made exclusively for what your looking to do and most arent very expensive.

Select the text and delete.
If you don't want text in the box, don't use a text box ie in Shapes there are various shapes. Select one without 'T'.

Can't open com.apple.iwork.pages..alt-document

Just updated my iMac to Mavericks along with from iWork '09 to the newest Pages (5.2), Numbers (3.2) and Keynote (6.2). Somehow the vast majority of all my iWork documents got converted to "com.apple.iwork.pages.alt-document". Nothing but Preview will open them. Same for the Numbers documents. For instance, when I try to open the Pages Document called "Cleaning Requirements", I get a pop-up box that says... "\U201CCleaning Requirements\U201Dcan\U2019t be opened." I've right-clicked on the document and tried to open it with the older iWorks Pages app (4.3) with no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you...

Did any Pages '09 files translate successfully?
Do you still have your original files? You will be much better off continuing working in Pages '09 even if you did not have these problems, Pages 5.2 is a PITA.

IWork not syncing with iCloud Drive on iPad or iPhone with new iOS 8.

I Downloaded on Wednesday (Sept. 17) the new iOS 8 on both my iPhone and iPad. My iWork apps synced fine for two days, but today all my documents disappeared and the iWork apps won't sync with the iCloud Drive. what can I do to get everything syncing with the new iCloud Drive? The photo stream and other programs are syncing fine, just not iWork. Any help to resolve this would be great. Thank you.

stpauli, it sounds like it's you and me in this together. Have you had any luck? I've had a little. I've been working on this for about a month now. Here's what I did:
I deleted all of my documents from my iPad, iTouch, and iCloud. (I tried it without deleting, but it didn't work.)
I completely turned off iCloud on ALL of my devices, even my Mac.
I deleted all files in iTunes for the iWork suite. (Again, I didn't this this would matter, but it didn't work of they were still there.)
I restored both my iPad and iTouch using their most recent back ups.
I switched on iCloud on ALL of my devices again.
When I opened the programs, things seemed to be working again. It worked well for two days, but now it's being funny again
iCloud will not push out to my iPad. If I create or edit on my iPad, it will push up to iCloud just fine, but if I upload a document to iCloud from my Mac, it never shows on my iPad. In fact, I edited a document that was in iCloud using my Mac, and uploaded the file back to iCloud. The updates never showed on my iPad, and when I closed the document, two versions of the same file appeared in iCloud. The one that was uploaded from my Mac is unusable.
This is definitely an iCloud issue. Unfortunately, the nearest Apple store is a four hour plane ride away, and my devices are out of waranty so they want to charge me for help. I hope you're having better luck.

Spell check function in my iworks pages does not work, how do I fix this?

I have a new IMac (intel) and I am struggling learning to use the ipage part of the iwork suite. There does not appear to be a spell check feature working, since I'm trying to create some new documents, this is a real hassle. And does anyone know how to do a cut and paste of images from the web. I'm doing a presentation, have permission to use the photos and can't get it to work!! sigh I beginning to think I should have paid the xtra bucks and bought the window suite version, at least I know where they hid the bells and whistles in that one.

If there is an image on a website you want to use locally on your computer usually just dragging the image from the web page anywhere on your desktop is enough to copy the image. You can then drag the image from the desktop anywhere you want.
Alternatively you can right-click (or hold down the control key and regular click on the image) on the image and then choose "Copy Image. You can then perform an Edit > Paste into a Pages document for example.

So the "Rename" command is not supposed to work? It is a dead link and crashes Pages.
Where did Pages save the file that I wanted to put into the folder of related documents. Please bring back "save as" or ask where we want the file saved. How else can I find it later?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
iWork has got a version for Mac and another for iOS. You have purchased iWork for Mac, so you can install it for free in all your Macs, but you haven't purchased iWork for iOS.
You have to purchase iWork because the iPhone and iPad use a different operating system than the Mac and there are different versions

IWorks Pages Graphics

I have just purchased my Macbook Pro...I am used to using Word as my word processing software, but now have iWorks Pages. When creating documents in Word I can insert graphics from files that are included with the software. I cannot find any graphics in the iWorks Pages software.
Can anyone tell me where to look? Am I searching using the wrong terms (Insert...graphics or Insert...pictures or Insert...images)or do I have to import all graphics/images?

Printing from iWorks Pages on a HP 2600n printer with OS 10.4

Whenever I go to print from iWorks Pages on a HP 2600n printer with OS 10.4 it does not let me print in black and white. On print, I select color with a slash through it and it says not available for this OS. Does someone know how to get around this or a software update around this.

For your HP printer, make sure you have the newest driver for your printer model & OS. Personally, I'd never have an HP printer - they don't "play nice" with either Pages or AppleWorks.

Scripting Bookmarks & Hyperlinks in iWorks Pages

Am I correct in assuming the AppleScript dictionary for iWorks Pages has no hooks for scripting either bookmarks or hyperlinks?
Tell me I'm senile, unobservant, need another latte and have missed something obvious... Please.

Yes, it looks that way. Similarly, there's no support for page numbers, page count, date/time, placeholder text, address book fields, or comments.
