Ix4-300d network interface going off-line

I just got a new ix4-300d to use as an iSCSI target in a relatively low-performance requirement file server.
I have used ix4-200d and ix4-300d in the past for iSCSI targets in disk-based backup scenarios wihtout issues.
I am having problems with this one, though. I am attempting to copy data to this new unit (with a VHD mounted from the iSCSI connection to the system), and while data seems to copy OK, at some point the network interface quits working somehow.
When this occurs, the unit still thinks that the interface is configured, and everything seems OK, I just cannot connect. Obviously, this causes my iSCSI initiators to die, and the VM hosted crashes hard. At that point, I have to restart the storage unit, and then reconnect my initiators, and then bring everything back online.
I've updated the firmware to the latest, but it wasn't that far out of date. I've found an article titled "Network storage device is not assigned an IP address" in the knowledgebase that points ot a problem with the software in the 4.0.2 series, and I was at 4.0.6, and am now current in 4.0.8. I am testing the process again, but wanted to check with the community to see if anyone has experienced anything similar and/or could offer some idea of why this interface quits working.
For what it's worth, the other units I have worked with were all in the 3.x series of software.

Do you have discovery enabled?
If not, check the box for "Enable discovery with iSNS" under the iSCSI settings and select "Use local iSNS server".
Then, on your iSCSI Initiator, go to the Discovery tab. Click "Add Server" under iSNS servers and enter the IP address of the NAS.
The device should show up under the Targets tab (you may have to click the refresh button)
On your other NAS devices, go to the iSCSI settings page and select "Enable discovery with iSNS" but select "Use external iSNS server" and type in the IP address of the ix4-300d NAS.
This may help things run smoothly. If the device is still disconnecting, I would recommend contacting technical support since this is a new device and you are covered by the warranty for support.

Hp office jet 6500e709n running on windows 7 64 bit goes off line every few days.

This printer worked fine on my wireless network when I was using Windows XP. Now that I am using Windows 7 64 bit everytime I turn off the computer it goes off line. I have to reconfigure it which knocks me off of my wireless network and I have to turn my router off and on to reconnect and sometimes the printer is back online and sometimes not.
Any suggestions would be apprecciated.

IE keeps going "Off Line"

IE keeps going "Off Line" and asking to connect.or attempting to go to "WirelessManagerRasConnection". This happens when connected to 80211 at office and at home as well as when connected to ATT wireless wan. My other toshiba laptop never has any problem staying connected to eiterh of the 80211 networks (it does not have an ATT card).
This is constant and unberable, please help,

If you go to Internet Options > Connections are there any DFU connections listed? Do you have "Do not select connection" selected?
You might have to use you imagination regarding the translations as I don't have an English system at hand, but hopefully you'll see what I mean.

Suddenly during printing my printer HP Photosmart 6510 goes off line

My printer HP Photosmart 6510 goes off line during printing. This happen every 10 minutes and I have to re-install the printer to be able to print. My former HP Photosmart printer did not behave like this. How can I avoid my printer to go off line all the time?

It sounds like the router's DHCP may be changing the IP address too frequently for the printer software to keep up with it.
I recommend setting a static IP address as it resolves many network issues with printers in general.
Follow step 6 in this document from HP.

LaserJet Pro 200 Goes Off-line

My Pro 200 routinely goes off-line when not in use for a period of an hour or so, and requires a restart to bring it on-line. How do I eliminate the off-line issue?

I understand your Laserjet 200 Color MFP goes offline when not being used. I will do my best to assist you! First, I need to find out your operating system on your computer? Windows or Mac?
How is this printer connected? Wireless or USB?
If your printer is connected over a wireless network, then follow this HP document on Printer Does Not Maintain a Wireless Connection. Try assigning a static IP address, which will help with the printer going offline.

Wireless Printer keeps going off-line

I have an HP Officejet 6700 Premium - Print/Fax/Scan/Copy/Web Printer

I have a Network set up - Connected to this Network is: 1. Sony Vaio Laptop - Operating on Windows 7   2. Apple iPad Air 3. Apple iPhone 5 and 4. The Officejet Printer mentioned above
I am using the Mweb Fon Router - Wireless-N VDSL Modem/Router (802.11n)
I also have a ZyXEL Wireless Extender N300 - also supplied by Mweb that extends the signal to the other end of my house.
I have several different things happening as follows:
1, Sometimes the printer goes off-line completely and I have to search for the Router and re-enter the password to get it online again
2. The Printer sometimes says it is on line, but my laptop cannot connect with the printer and I also cannot get a Scan connection either
3. Sometimes when I cannot print from the Laptop which is saying the printer is off-line, if I go through my iPad/iPhone I can print.
4. Sometimes I cannot print from any of my devices as there is no connectivity at all even though the printer says it is connected.
5. I have to continually re-boot my laptop and I can print for a while then, but the connection is lost again after a short while.
I have downloaded your HP Print and Scan Doctor and run the program which does repair it for a while, but it still goes off-line again after a short period of time.
Please can you advise me of a solution to these problems, it is really agravating to keep having to re-boot to get the printer connectivity back, especially if this happens when you are banking online and want to print a proof of payment!!!!
Would my printer be faulty, if so should I send it back under the Guarantee which is still valid until the 5th January 2015
Please advise me of a solution as soon as possible as I am getting very frustrated with this situation.

B110 wireless printer - keeps going off line in windows 8

Hi - Since supgrading to windows 8 I've had probelms with my wireless printer (B110) and the fact that it keeps going off line. I've now ried removing and re installing usng latest drivers. During installation I get the message that printer rediscovery problems detected. You Pc may not be able to track on line status changes of your printer. If you are using firewall software verify that UDP port 427 is unblocked from your printer at 192.168.2.4 to your pc.
Following windows 8 help I've gone to firewall inbound rules and triesd to enable udp port 427, without much success. On the new inbound rule wizard , I choose the port option then the udp option and then the specific port option and enter 427 . This eems to having no impact but if I'm being honest I've not much of a clue on what I'm doing.

While I am researching your Belkin router, I would like to add that you will want to set a static IP for your printer. The green checkmark in your Printer's folder just means it is your default printer and has nothing to do with whether or not it has an IP address. You have to go into your Wireless Menu on the front of the printer to "View Wireless Settings" or print a network configuration page at that exact moment it is not communicating. You are not looking for "No trouble found." Sorry I wasn't more specific but you are looking for an IP address or URL like 192.168.1.5 or 10.0.0.5 etc.
Was the above document I provided any assistance? That has very good information to help clarify the instructions I am giving up because I really want to help you but I will need a bit more information.

TS3276 All accounts keep going off line, quitting Mail fixes the issue

All accounts keep going off line, quitting Mail fixes the issue.
I have 3 Gmail, 1 hotmail and a yahoo. Al go off line with a little alert symbol next to them.
If I select take all accounts on line nothing happens.
Email delivery stops.
To fix this, I quit Mail and re launch it. That fixes it.
It's realy annoying.
Any ideas?

I have the same problem - it started when I upgraded to OS X 10.8
I thought subsequent releases may help, but I'm now on 10.8.2 and no joy.

That can't be it if it is working intermitently.
Actually, more often than not, this is caused by duplicate entries in either Mail's Outgoing SMTP servers, or in Keychain.
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it/them, or delete it/them and start over.
Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...
If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.

I have just installed anew Hp D110 printer with wireless capabilities ,, It goes off line every time I attempt to print and error msg says it doesnt work with Firefox 3. but it worked right after I finished installing it on my computer then the next time the msg said it was off line .

Mail accounts keep going off line since Mountain Lion upgrade

My iCloud accounts keep going off line after a while. When Mail asks me if I want to take my accounts online (after pressing the exclamation triangle) nothing happens. The only way to get my accounts back online is to close and reopen Mail. Any thoughts?

It might be worth pointing out I get the error message "The server returned the error: The server “p04-imap.mail.me.com” cannot be contacted on port 993.".
I've tried having Use SSL checked and unchecked but it doesn't seem to help. The only thing that solves it is closing and reopening Mail.
Finally it would now appear that it only happens after the mac has been woken from sleep.

Mail keeps going off line

Ever since I got my iPhone my regular mail keeps going off line. I click to put it back online but that doesn't work. The only way I can get it back up is to restart my computer. Anyone else have this problem?

Not much to go on so far, but let's start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
How do you connect to the Internet, and do Browsers quit working at the same time Mail does?

Files going off line

I don't seem to have a problem with files going off line after capturing, but when I send a file to motion and send it back to final cut it goes off line. Can someone tell me what causes files to go off line, and what I need to do to correct this? Thanks

If you are editing the file you send to motion, and saving it, then it is normal for the file to show up as offline. Just right click and relink, if its still in the same place, it should find it in no time.
What files exactly are the ones going offline? .motn?

If a 5508 goes off line.....

I have a mix of AIR-LAP1262N and AIR-CAP3502E LWAPs. I remember there is a scenario where some LWAPs will continue to function even if the controller goes off-line. Can anyone tell me what hardware/software configuration I need to make that happen? No budget for a failover unit at present.

Email goes off-line randomly??

It seems as if my mail system goes off line from time to time without my encouragement. Personally I'd prefer that option to go off-line not even exist. I fire up my mail system when I need it. I turn it off when I don't. I see no need to go "off-line". Is there some way to lock that option so my mail system doesn't go off line? Any idea what prompts that action in the first place???

If there is a problem communicating with an account's incoming mail server when the account is checked for new mail, you will be prompted to manually enter the account's password or that account will be taken offline only.
It would be preferable for the Mail.app to provide an accurate error message instead when this does occur and there is no way to prevent it that I'm aware of.
What is your time interval setting for automatically checking for new mail? If set to every 1 minute, change it to every 5 or 15 minutes instead.
