You told me to go to Default Services via Options, as Facebook and Device Default comes up when I put in an appointment in my Calendar.  Also I cannot synchronise my Calendar.  The top line in Default Services says 'Calendar (CICAL) then Facebook.  Below is Messaging (CMIME) then my email address.  What do I do now?

  • I updated my iPad software to IOS 5, and now it doesn't see my WiFi. The IP addresses seem to be different on my "Sanders Family" network on my iPad than what shows up on my desktop

    Help. I just updated my iPhone and iPad software to IOS 5. Now my iPad isn't connecting to my WiFi. It "sees" it, and the network name even shows up under WiFi, but it's like it just keeps grinding and grinding. Sometimes it will let me click on the network and see the IP address. When I can see it, the address on my iPad is different from the one showing up on my desktop, but I can't figure out how to change it on my iPad. Any suggestions to get me hooked back into my wireless network?

    If the problem persists after you reboot as suggested by Ralph:
    Trouble connecting usually means interference, or another WiFi on the same channel.
    If you have any cordless phones, keyboards, or cameras, check what frequency they use.
    From a MAC or Windows machine you can see what channel each of the available networks are using.  Make sure your network is on a channel nobody else nearby is also using.

  • Azure Notification Hub Package Missing for Windows Phone 8.1

    The WindowsAzure.Messaging.Managed nuget package version 0.1.7.6 does not support Windows Phone 8.1. Is there a package available to support Azure Notification Hub to push notifications to Windows Phone 8.1?

    8.1 is not publically available.  You can check with the Azure folks and ask them when there will be an update

    T-SQL: Random Equal Distribution
    Jinchun Chen: "Nice."
    JS: "The crucial thing about such a procedure is to check the data before the randomization and afterwards. You might encounter situations where "John Smith" and "John Meyers" might have exchanged their First names
    which is technically correct, but logically and obviously wrong. So make sure that there is one additional check afterwards that makes sure that eventual privicy concerns will not survive the random process. Normally this would not happen, but I have already
    checked this is one of my older blog entries, where we exactly had that problem obfuscating data to make that operational and live data will not be recognized afterwards. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jenss/archive/2009/04/08/when-is-random-random-enough.aspx In
    addition to this some attributes are sticky to each other like gender and First Name. You also have to make sure that your distribution might change statistically in relation to other attributes."
    Richard Mueller: "Very instructive. Perhaps the See Also section should have more links."
    Ed Price: "Great formatting and topic! Could benefit from more descriptions. Great article!"
    GO: "Naomi, your article is nice. Simple to understand the 'problem' and execute the 'solution""

    JS: "For me not using this sort of things regularly, I don't see the problem and the benefit. I have no doubt that this is a brilliant explanations how to cope with a problem, but for me this is missing yet the red line. More pictures
    would be helpful describing the problem and outlining the results produced."

    DataCleanUp() Function Implementation in MS SQL Server
    Jinchun Chen: "Good."
    JS: "-Does actually not work for Case senstive areas where I want to remoce certain Upper/lower case characters. This might be not interesting for some people, but is extremely important and relevant to other people. The limitation is
    that I can´t pass multiple values to be removed from the string, right ? Could this be implemented as well as many people wash out their data from unused / unimportant control characters. "I have tested it on a table which has got more than 11 Million
    rows and it executed fine returning the correct results. Since this is a scalar function you will notice decrease in performance." Once you want to maintain the old data and keep the new cleaned up one seperately, you could suggest something like persisting
    the data in a computed column which could be indexed and then help improving the performance. This would not be the case for any adhoc queries though."
    Richard Mueller: "Very clever and also very useful. There should be links to references, for example to explain the PATINDEX function."
    Ed Price: "Great job on this article! Very clear and well executed! See JS's comments for some thoughts about what's possible. Great article!"

  • SBS 2011 GPO for changing the default save location for Word/Excel 2013 not working

    So this is a strange one. I've got an SBS 2011 server that's the only domain controller in the org. I've created a GPO to change the default save location for Excel 2013 and Word 2013 using the Office 2013 ADMX files which were installed to the PolicyDefinitions
    folder.
    The GPO (U-Office2013 Default Save Location) only contains:
    1. User Configuration - Microsoft Excel 2013/Excel Options/Save - Default file location - Enabled - Z:\
    2. User Configuration - Microsoft Word 2013/Word Options/Advanced/File Locations - Default file location - Enabled - Z:\
    The GPO is linked at the OU that contains my users for my SBS organization.
    When I do a gpupdate /force on a windows 7 system with office2013 installed, and then run a gpresult/rsop, the policy appears to be applied successfully as it lists my GPO under the Applied GPOs list on the workstation:
    Applied GPOs
    Default Domain Policy dyndns.local AD (24), Sysvol (24)
    U-Office2013 Default Save Location domain.local/SBSusers AD (6), Sysvol (6)
    In the gpresult report, the applied settings appear under:
    Administrative Templates
    Extra Registry Settings
    software\policies\microsoft\office\15.0\excel\options\defaultpath Z:\ U-Office2013 Default Save Location
    software\policies\microsoft\office\15.0\word\options\doc-path Z:\ U-Office2013 Default Save Location
    BUT, when I go to the workstation, and check office->options-Save-default file path, the path has not been changed to what the GPO is pushing.
    The strange thing is that in my test environment running 2008R2 server and Win7 with Office 2013 and identical settings the default save location is applied and works as expected.
    Any ideas?
    I've already tried re-installing the ADMX templates and re-created the GPO's several times.
    I should also note that other GPO's on the SBS2011 server such as the folder redirection GPO work as expected on the same windows 7 system. It just appears to be an issue with the default save location in office2013 and other Office 2013 related GPOs which
    utilize the recently added ADMX template that don't seem to be working for me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Justin,
    Thanks for your reply. I have tried several different user accounts (all have local admin privileges to the workstation) with the same issue. The default save path does not get applied from the GPO to any of the users i've tried. Here's the steps I took
    per your suggestion:
    1. log on as a user who has never logged onto the workstation before.
    2. run gpupdate /force (entered y for yes when prompted to log off).
    3. Log back in as the user and open Office and check the default save path. It has not been changed to match the GPO setting.
    4. Check rsop to see if the policy was applied. Rsop states the gpo was applied successfully.
    I have attached the gpsvc.log file from a the session described above. The GPO Guid in question is: {DC3C93EC-7C28-48E9-BA38-FCA1E275A207}. Its common name is: U-Word 2013 Default Save Location. It's only setting is:
    Policies\Administrative Templates\Policy definitions(admx files retrieved from central store\Microsoft Word 2013\Word Options\Advanced\File Locations\Default File Location = Enabled\Documents = F:\

  • HT4527 how to move my itunes library from my Ipod to a NEW PC

    My Laptop had to be reformatted and as a result I lost access to Itunes.  I was not able to save any of my backups nor my iTunes library.
    I am trying to sync my iPod and iPhone to my NEWLY formatted hard drive and iTunes wants to WIPE my devices.
    Is there a way to "PUSH" the  iTunes library from my iPod To my laptop?
    Thanks,
    Willie J. Sanders, Jr.

    I thought I just explained this.
    The sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The exception is itunes purchases:  File>Transfer Purchases
    You can transfer itunes purchases form your ipod to your computer:  Open itunes, connect ipod, click File Transfer Purchases
    Did you fail to maintain a backup copy of your computer?
    You may be able to purchase a program to get the other music

  • WP8.1 Universal : Error Image does not have a candidate in main app package while creating a package

    Hi everyone :
    I just finished an universal app was gonna publish it on the store, on windows 8.1 no problem
    On Windows Phone 8.1 I got error when creating the app package for every images I declared in the app manifest
     "App manifest references the image 'Assets\Tiles\StoreLogo.png' which does not have a candidate in main app package"
    Here is a par of my manifest with my assets
    <m3:VisualElements DisplayName="Spirit Of Metal" Square150x150Logo="Assets\Tiles\Square150x150Logo.png" Square44x44Logo="Assets\Tiles\Square44x44Logo.png" Description="SoM.WindowsPhone" ForegroundText="light" BackgroundColor="transparent">
    <m3:LockScreen Notification="badgeAndTileText" BadgeLogo="Assets\BadgeLogos\BadgeLogo.png" />
    <m3:DefaultTile Square71x71Logo="Assets\Tiles\Square71x71Logo.png" Wide310x150Logo="Assets\Tiles\Wide310x150Logo.png" DefaultSize="square150x150Logo">
    <m3:ShowNameOnTiles>
    <m3:ShowOn Tile="square150x150Logo" />
    <m3:ShowOn Tile="wide310x150Logo" />
    </m3:ShowNameOnTiles>
    </m3:DefaultTile>
    <m3:ApplicationView MinWidth="width320" />
    <!--Used in XAML Designer. DO NOT REMOVE-->
    <m3:InitialRotationPreference>
    <m3:Rotation Preference="portrait" />
    </m3:InitialRotationPreference>
    </m3:VisualElements>
    I made clean, delete tempory files, restart visual studio, delete and add the picture again, open the
    manifest file to check manualy the path (it is correct with backslash)... without result.
    Finaly I found a fix :  generate app bundle at never, as my app has no specific
    assets in other language I don't understand why.
    Is this a bug (and I would like to report it) or is there a reason to this exception ?
    Regards

    I cannot reproduce this.  Can you create a very simple repro of this issue and post to OneDrive?

  • Query to group by based on partial count match

    Dear experts,
    Here is a challenge question.
    I have a table a on Oracle 11i – this is how it is defined.
    desc a
    Name Null Type
    STORE_NUMBER NOT NULL CHAR(9)
    ASSORTMENT_NUMBER NOT NULL CHAR(9)
    ITEM_NUMBER NOT NULL CHAR(9)
    DESCRIPTION CHAR(1000)
    UPC_CODE NOT NULL CHAR(15)
    STOCK_FLAG CHAR(1)
    AVG_RTL_PRICE CHAR(16)
    SALES_MOVEMENT CHAR(16)
    PROD_STYLE CHAR(50)
    COLOR CHAR(50)
    ATT_1 CHAR(50)
    ATT_2 CHAR(50)
    ATT_3 CHAR(50)
    ATT_4 CHAR(50)
    ATT_5 CHAR(50)
    ATT_6 CHAR(50)
    ATT_7 CHAR(50)
    ATT_8 CHAR(50)
    ATT_9 CHAR(50)
    ATT_10 CHAR(50)
    ATT_11 CHAR(50)
    ATT_12 CHAR(50)
    ATT_13 CHAR(50)
    ATT_14 CHAR(50)
    ATT_15 CHAR(50)
    25 rows selected
    Primary Key as Store_number, Assortment_number, item_number. Therefore, for a particular assortment number, one store will have no two records of the same item_number.
    Now, I want to add some more custom conditions to my extract from this table; we are doing this manually on an xls file by applying some formula. Wondering if we can do this by a sql query.
    Here are the conditions –
    1.     From table a, for any particular assortment_number, count of items belonging to a store. E.g –
    Count of items     Store_number
    5     1011
    7     1022
    23     1033
    12     1044
    2.     This is more challenging. From table a, for stores with the same count of item_numbers, list down the store numbers which have the same count of items and same items in the set under them. E.g – as below.
    Count of items     Store_number     Item_number     Match Indicator     Matching Stores
    5     3     123|12|1234|12|1     N
    5     24     123|123|123|123|123     Y     22|234
    5     21     123|451|2341|234|5100     N
    5     22     123|123|123|123|123     Y     24|234
    5     456     123|12|1|2|3     N
    5     234     123|123|123|123|123     Y     22|24
    3     45     12|123|12     Y     222|150
    3     432     21|34|56     Y     123
    3     222     12|123|12     Y     45|150
    3     123     21|34|56     Y     432
    3 150 12|123|12 Y 45|222
    The above table may get positions shifted to its left due to formatting.
    Appreciate your time and effort.
    Thank You.

    Agreed. I asked the same to my design team I inherited this table from. We are working out on the new table soon.

  • How to Load the Resource Master for Generic Resources by Department?

    We are using P6 enterprise version in our company having a central database.
    Q1a.) We set the Activities view > Resource Usage Spreadsheet > Select View 1) By Resource OR 2) By Role.
    The result is the spreadsheet presents the Remaining Early Units by Resource OR by Role. Other spreadsheets behave the same way. Is it possible to view the total Remaining Early Units and not have it separated by Resource OR Role?
    Q1b.) We would like to find out the recommended structure to load Generic Resources (ie. professional and trades such as Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Carpenter, Welder etc.) for each Department (ie. 8221, 9362, 8524 etc.) into the Resource Library. Example: we would like to load Civil Engineer once for departments 8221, 9362, 8524, load Welder once for departments 9362, 8524, etc.
    We contacted Primavera Support and they pointed us to use Roles.
    Thank-you for any suggestions you may have.

    i think you could try to model it like this:
    - define a single "mech eng" role in the role tree (not too deep or even a flat list). no dept's mentioned here. keep the role tree strictly "speciality" oriented or anyway according to their technical classification.
    Role ID     Role Name
    Engr     Engineer
    .......Engr.SE     Structural Engineer
    .......Engr.EE     Electrical Engineer
    .......Engr.ME     Mechanical Engineer
    - define any number of resources (either individuals, or teams or even a combination of the two) in the resuorce tree.
    1 eng with a capacity of 8h/d, a fixed formation (team) regardless of the number of individuals would still have a capacity of 8h/d if they can only accomplish tasks together. if assigning a team of 5 means means faster for fixed workload or more for fixed duration then define a fixed team (again if this is the case) as a single resource with a capacity of 40h/d or simply define and assign the required number of individual eng's 8h/d max each. use activity duration type to switch between duration driving and non-driving resource usage.
    e.g.
    Resource ID     Resource Name     Resource Type     Default Units / Time     Max Units/Time     Primary Role     Roles
    .......*ElecEng     Electrical Engineers*     Labor     20.00h/d     20.00h/d     Electrical Engineer     Electrical Engineer
    ..............EE1BARBW     Barb Wire, Senior Electrical Engineer     Labor     10.00h/d     10.00h/d     Electrical Engineer     Electrical Engineer, Project AQ
    ..............EE2BILLS     Bill Sanders, Junior Electrical Engineer     Labor     10.00h/d     10.00h/d     Electrical Engineer     Electrical Engineer, Consultant
    .......*MechEng     Mechanical Engineers*     Labor     10.00h/d     0.00h/d     Mechanical Engineer     Mechanical Engineer
    ..............MechEng T1     mech eng team 1     Labor     8.00h/d     8.00h/d     Mechanical Engineer     Mechanical Engineer
    ..............MechEng T2     mech eng team 1     Labor     16.00h/d     16.00h/d     Mechanical Engineer     Mechanical Engineer
    .....................MechEng T2.1     ME 2.1     Labor     8.00h/d     8.00h/d     Mechanical Engineer     Mechanical Engineer, Consultant
    .....................MechEng T2.2     ME 2.2     Labor     8.00h/d     8.00h/d     Mechanical Engineer     Mechanical Engineer
    - create the necessary res to role associations. one employee or team (i.e. res) can be linked to one primary qualification and several other proffesions or specialities (i.e. roles)
    - when assigning to activities, if a particular individual/ team is required assign directly the res. select several activities requiring mech eng, select 1 or several mech eng's and assign them (use resource security to limit user's access to certain res nodes).
    - if any res with a particular role can perform the task, assign the role. later on if you decide for a res, you can assign a particular resource through the previously assigned role. decide applicable rates and h/d between role and res.
    - you can track allocation in spreadsheets and histograms by resource or role (or by activity for both). if individual res have clear capacities, for roles you can chose between custon role limits (manual) and system calculated for each role based on res having that as primary qualification (user pref)
    - you can report by activity / WBS / project / portfolio (tracking)
    - solve over-allocation by levelling, by switching between res for the same role, etc
    - optimise duration vs. load and/or # of res/roles (and viceversa)

  • Data formatting and reading a CSV file without using Sqlloader

    I am reading a csv file to an Oracle table called sps_dataload. The table is structured based on the record type of the data at the beginning of
    each record in the csv file. But the first two lines of the file are not going to be loaded to the table due to the format.
    Question # 1:
    How can I skip reading the first two lines from my csv file?
    Question # 2:
    There are more fields in the csv file than there are number of columns in my table. I know I can add filler as an option, but then there are
    about 150 odd fields which are comma-separated in the file and my table has 8 columns to load from the file. So, do I really have to use filler
    for 140 times in my script or, there is a better way to do this?
    Question # 3:
    This is more of an extension of my question above. The csv file has fields with block quotes - I know this could be achieved in sql loader when we mention Occassionally enclosed by '"'.
    But can this be doable in the insert as created in the below code?
    I am trying to find the "wrap code" button in my post, but do not see it.
    Heres my file layout -

    Justin, thanks. I did happen to change my pl sql procedure using utl_file.get_file and modifying the instr function based on position of ',' in the file, but my procedure is getting really big and too complex to debug. So I got motivated to use external tables or sql loader as plan b.
    As I was reading more about creating an external table as an efficient way and thus believe I can perhaps build an extern table with my varying selection from the file. But I am still unclear if I can construct my external table by choosing different fields in a record based on a record identifier string value (which is the first field of any record). I guess I can, but I am looking for the construct as to how am I going to use the instr function for selecting the field from the file while creating the table.

    While I was reading the external table documentation, I thought I could achieve similar things by using position_spec option, but I am not getting behind its parameters. I have highlighted italics in the code above(from LOAD WHEN....FIELDS....), the part I think I am going to use, but not sure of it's construct.
    Thank you for your help!! Appreciate your thoughts on this..

    PS C:\Users\dong>
    Regards.
    Dong.

  • ListView jiggles horizontally when large item about to scroll in or out in Windows Phone 8.1 Preview

    If you have a ListView (in a Windows Phone 8.1 Store app, running on the developer preview 8.10.123979.895) in which you do not explicitly constrain the size of your list view's item template (e.g., because you'd like it to resize automatically when
    the screen is rotated, or to adapt well to larger screen sizes), a problem arises if some of the items in your list want to be wider than the screen. They are correctly cropped, but as you scroll down through the list, the whole list jiggles left and right
    as the long item is about to scroll into view, or shortly after it has scrolled out of view.
    The built-in Calendar app suffers from this problem, by the way, so even if it's possible to avoid this in my own app, the Calendar app needs fixing... If you create a large number of appointments on a single day, where most of the appointments have short
    names, but one has a long name, and you then tap the day to expand its list of appointments for that day, you'll see this jiggling from left to right as you scroll through the appointments.
    Here's some code that reproduces the problem:
    XAML:
    <Page
    x:Class="Wp81ScrollBug.MainPage"
    xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation"
    xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml"
    xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008"
    xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006"
    mc:Ignorable="d"
    Background="{ThemeResource ApplicationPageBackgroundThemeBrush}">
    <Grid>
    <ListView
    x:Name="myList">
    </ListView>
    </Grid>
    </Page>
    Codehind for that:
    using System.Linq;
    using Windows.UI.Xaml.Controls;
    using Windows.UI.Xaml.Navigation;
    namespace Wp81ScrollBug
    public sealed partial class MainPage : Page
    private string[] _source =
    Enumerable.Range(1, 80).Select(i => "Short " + i)
    .Concat(new[] { "This item is much longer than the rest and causes problems as virtualization adds and removes it" })
    .Concat(Enumerable.Range(81, 80).Select(i => "Short " + i)).ToArray();
    public MainPage()
    InitializeComponent();
    NavigationCacheMode = NavigationCacheMode.Required;
    myList.ItemsSource = _source;
    protected override void OnNavigatedTo(NavigationEventArgs e)
    You can get rid of the problem by adding this inside the ListView:
    <ListView.ItemTemplate>
    <DataTemplate>
    <ContentControl Width="480" Content="{Binding}" />
    </DataTemplate>
    </ListView.ItemTemplate>
    but this is unsatisfactory, because it no longer handles orientation changes or different screen sizes - when you rotate the screen, the long item doesn't get to use the whole width.

    The Jiggle is due to virtualization and an attempt to fit the contents.  The only solution I can think of is to set the width based on the orientation.

  • How to create a file in application data local folder which is not hidden in windows store app?

    I want to create a log file in ApplicationData local folder.
         m_StorageFile = await ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder.CreateFileAsync(m_Name.Replace(" ", "_") + ".log",
                              CreationCollisionOption.OpenIfExists);
    First time when my app is launched, the file gets created and logs are written.
    When I close my app, and re run the app once again, the log file that was created is now hidden and when i try to call
    the code :    m_StorageFile = await ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder.CreateFileAsync(m_Name.Replace(" ", "_") + ".log",
                              CreationCollisionOption.OpenIfExists);
    m_StorageFile is NULL.
    How can i prevent the file from becoming Hidden or ReadOnly.
    Thanks

  • Why can't I make a change to my template?

    I have a template with editable regions and non-editable. The footer is no-editable but I can't make a change to it. I have the telephone number listed twice in the footer and want to remove one of them but can't do it. I get the circle with a line through it when I try to modify it. The code taht you have shown is not the template, it is a document that has been created from a template and renamed with a dwt extension.
    If you load the document into DW then go to menu item Modify->Templates->Detach from Template and save the file, you will have your original template called index.dwt and located in the Templates subdirectory.

  • Need info on moving databases to Z10

    J Sanders.
    IN your last reply to my comments, you said that MOST of the "feature requests I made", were already implemented on the OS 10.1.   However, I couldnt find the following:
    a) How to move to next/previous email without going back to email list?
    b) How to migrate all the WORD SUBSTITUTION shortcuts from Torch 9800 to Z10 OS 10.1 ?
    c) How to migrate all the MEMO notes from Torch 9800 to Z10 OS 10.1 ?
    d) How to migrate all the VOICE RECORDS from Torch 9800 to Z10 OS 10.1 ?
    Pls confirm which one of the above was taken into consideration on 10.1  and where can I find info on how to do it.  I called BB support center, and they didnt know.
    Thanks
