J_Security_check fails on fwd from another IP ?

          Hey guys...
          I am using WLS70sp1
          I have in production a iplanet webserver
          When the users directly come to the webserver , they see the login page and can
          login.
          But if they come to another URL, which just redirects to the webserver they can
          see the login page but when they try to login with username/password , it fails
          with ".....j_security_check" in the URL.
          Any clue whatz missing if the request gets redirected from another server ?
          Thanx,
          Krish

login.
But if they come to another URL, which just redirects to the webserverthey can
see the login page but when they try to login with username/password , itfails
with ".....j_security_check" in the URL.I believe that Servlet 2.3 explicitly prohibits this action. From section
12.5.3
In order for the authentication to proceed appropriately,
the action of the login form must
always be 'j_security_check'. This restriction is made
so that the login form will always work no matter what the resource is
that
requests it and avoids requiring that the server to process the outbound
form to correct the action field.
So you can not cannot forward/redirect a request to j_security_check.

  • Discoverer reports failing after import from another instance

    I've migrated Discoverer reports using export/import option.After opening reports in new instance,I'm getting the following error for some reports :
    Can not join tables used in the work book Item dependency not found in the EUL,Attempt to open workbook failed?
    I checked disco administrator for these reports and all these reports are based on custom folders.These custom folders are based on query and they are not joined with any other folders.
    Thanks,
    Kiran.

    Hi Kiran
    Try re-importing and matching on Names and see if that helps.
    Having End User Layer metadata out of sync and maintained in more than one place is a recipe for disaster. The best way to develop Discoverer metadata is to have a three-stage environment using Development, Test and Production.
    You should never add new Production metadata without migrating from Test which in turn is migrated from Development. Adding new metadata in Production will cause the unique IDs to be updated. The next time you migrate from Test, checking the box to match on identifiers will cause problems. Of course if you also take the time to make sure than even identifiers are unique then you will not have any issues.
    Best wishes
    Michael

    Hi,
    In order to resolve the problem more efficiently, I need to clarify some information.
    1. Do you have two AD sites in your environment?
    2. If you have two AD site, do you have active users in these two AD sites?
    3. Does each AD site have a DAG which is cross-site?

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
    I am not technologically savvy as a result I'm having trouble understanding previous posts on "The user profile service service failed to logon user profile cannot be loaded." Lingo on domain reset etc, not sure that this pertains to solving my  issue
    ... I cant even get pass the sign in page let alone make changes. I am having this issue with my Dell Studio XPS 1340 with Windows 7 Home Premium. If anyone can provide their two cents I would greatly appreciate.
    Very Respectfully,
    Jesse
    Home Premium cannot logon to a Domain, nor can it be set to try it.
    when you get the logon window, try hitting the three-finger salute )Ctrl+Alt+Del) twice – it may bring up the old-style login window – enter your credentials there.

  • My hard drive failed. I was able to restore my files from an external hard drive. I have my bookmarks saved but am not able to import them into Firefox as the only option is to import them from another browser. Any suggestions?

    -My hard drive failed.
    -I was able to restore my files from an external hard drive.
    -My bookmarks are saved to a folder on my new hard drive.
    -I am not able to import them from this folder on my hard drive into Firefox.
    - the only option Firefox offers for importing bookmarks is to import them from another browser...is there another way?

    In Firefox the bookmarks are saved in a database file called places.sqlite in the profile folder. If you have got this file from the external hard drive you can restore the bookmarks by copying this file to your current profile folder. For details of the location of the profile folder see either https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles or http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox

  • Oracle Server 11.2.0.1.0 64-bit fails when invoked from InstallShield

    I'm trying to install the Oracle Server 11.2.0.1.0 64-bit on Windows 2008 SP1 from the InstallShield 2010.
    The installation is silent. Invoked by command line:

    The problem is that when the command is invoked from command line (cmd), the installation is successful.
    However, when the same command is invoked from under the InstallShield, the installation fails on Architecture requirement check:

    1. Why the requirement checks give different results when installation is invoked from CMD and from InstallShield?
    2. Why the requirement checks are done despite the parameters "-ignoreSysPrereqs" and "use_prereq_checker=false"?
    3. What should I do to get the installation pass (either remove the check or make it satisfying)?
    PS. The 32 bit Oracle Server installation on Windows 2003 works without problem when invoked from InstallShield.

    Please use 2008R2 if you want to install 11gR2 versionThank you for that update. Possibly it will help me to solve another trouble.
    Regarding the problem I described, the issue is that I install Oracle Client 32 bit prior to trying to install Oracle Servier 64 bit.
    The Oracle Client setup had started RemoteExecService.exe 32 bit process. And the process remained running after the installation completed.
    The Oracle Server setup utilizes the running RemoteExecService.exe process. Since the process is 32 bit, the architecture requirement check had failed.
    I've added to my script killing the process
    taskkill /F /IM RemoteExecService.exe
    before invoking the Oracle Server installation.
    That way the Oracle Server setup starts another RemoteExecService.exe process and the new process is 64 bit.
    The architecture requirement succeed.

  • Trying to install SL on a new hard-drive for my iMac, when asked which disk to install on it gave me no options, i followed advice from another forum and created a partition, now can't boot from the new drive at all. Help?

    I've had **** with my iMac, the hard-drive failed so i replaced it with a new 1TB Samsung drive. Then when i tried to install SL from the install disk, all went to plan until it asked me which drive i wanted to install it on, where it came up with a box where my options should have been, but instead it didn't give me any options to install it on any drive i.e. it asked which drive i wanted to install it on but no drives came up to select.
    So i followed the advice from another forum, look at the 'Extended Hard-drive preparation' response
    ( https://discussions.apple.com/message/10576009#10576009 )
    After following these instructions i have now got a new partition, but when i restarted my computer to install SL on the drive, the option to boot from the drive is now not available, now i must boot from the install disk, whereas before i was able to boot from either the install disk or the hard drive. The hard drive is still visible in disk utility as it always has been, but i am now unable to boot from it, let alone install SL.
    Please help my iMac has been broken for months and i've been trying to fix it for so long and am getting problem after problem. Thank you!

    Hi db2
    That off the shelf MS-DOS / FAT-32 drive needs to re-partitioned GUID Partition Table / Mac OS Extended (Journaled) before you can install OS X and Startup your Intel iMac from it.
    1. Boot from your original install or retail SL DVD and open Disk Utility.
    2. Highlight the new HD in the list of drives and select the Partition tab.
    3. Under Volume Scheme select 1 Partition and click on the Options... button.
    4. Select GUID Partition Table in the drop down window and click OK.
    5. Set the Format to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and click the Apply button.
    6. Once thats done, then you can do a clean SL Install, Restore from TM , your old HD or  Bootable Clone.

  • How to update date in a table from another database

    Hello,
    I am trying to code a way to Update my Testing database from another database. In the coding below the database that has the updated data ends in Restore.
    Use ClientDB_MASTER_Restore
    Truncate Table ClientDB_MASTER_Testing.dbo.Activity_Tracking_AZ
    GO
    SELECT * INTO ClientDB_Master_Testing.dbo.Activity_Tracking_AZ
    FROM Activity_Tracking_AZ
    Go
    I know with this Technique the table must be truncated if not deleted first.  There is probably a better way to do this which I'm very open to.  I'm also looking for coding that will roll back any changes made should an error occur.
      As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

    SET XACT_ABORT ON
    BEGIN TRANSACTION
    Truncate Table dbo.Activity_Tracking_AZ
    -- SET IDENTITY_INSERT dbo.Activity_Tracking_AZ ON
    INSERT dbo.Activity_Tracking_AZ (col1, col2, ...)
    SELECT col1, col2,
    FROM ClientDB_MASTER_Restore.dbo.Activity_Tracking_AZ
    -- SET IDENTITY_INSERT dbo.Activity_Tracking_AZ OFF
    COMMIT TRANSACTION
    If you find it boring to type the column lists, just find the table in Object Explorer, and drag the columns node to where you want the column list.
    You need the SET IDENTITY_INSERT command if the table has an IDENTITY column.
    By wrapping the code in a transaction, you are not left with an empty table if the INSERT fails. The command SET XACT_ABORT ON makes sure that the batch is aborted and rolled back in case of an error.

  • Refreshing sql report region based on values from another region - 4.0

    Greetings All,
    I have a page with two regions, say region 1 and region 2. I have a before header process that fetches values from db based on criteria entered from another page. Region 2 is a sql report region with bind variables from region 1. When this page is rendered region 1 renders properly however sql report region always returns no records. What am i missing here?
    I would like to have the region 2 render a report based on the values from region 1. Region 2 has a sql query that looks something like
    select
    colum 1,
    column 2,
    column 3
    from table t1
    where t1.c1 = :p10_item1
    and t1.c2 = :p10_item2Using apex 4.0
    thanks
    Seetharaman

    If these items hidden, try making them display only .
    Also what happens when you move the items from region 1 to region 2.
    From my experience items do not have much of a dependency on the region they are attached to other than cases when the region is not rendered(when its condition fails) and then the item values become null(bcoz they themselves are not rendered).

  • Calling infobus form from another.

    Hi
    Here is a brief description of the problem.
    A simple data form is created using JDeveloper2.0's wizard. It is an Infobus based dataframe,which has a simple gridcontrol fetching data from the dept table. This form is in the pacakge,
    package1.
    Another form is made with a master detail relationship between dept and employee table, in the package, package2.
    Now a button control is added on the first form( which is in package1) and the following code is added to the actionperformed event.
    void buttonControl1_actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
    Frame f = new package2.Frame1();
    f.show();
    Essentially, it calls the form in package2 when the button is pressed. Once this action is performed, the login dialog box of the form in package2 appears. After which it throws the following error and shows a blank form.
    DAC-405: SessionInfo: Application module creation failed; className: ConnectionTrade
    JBO-00200: A Generic exception occurred during loading Customizations.
    null
    If I add a button in the second form, (ie. the one in pacage2 having a master detail relationship) and call dept form (in package1) from here, it works.
    We are stuck with this problem, and unable to proceed with deploying the application. As each form need to be called and invoked from a menu.
    Thanks in advance.
    Ravi

    Hi,
    You can do like this :
    mainApplication(Menu)
    +------------ Frame1
    |
    +------------ Frame2
    In MainApp you call your frame, and remove from code the
    windowListener of the frame. Replace the dispose(); in frame
    methods fileExit(ActionEvent e) & processWindowEvent(WindowEvent
    e), by try { finalize(); } catch (java.lang.Throwable ex) {
    ex.getMessage(); }
    It works great.

  • Installing Solaris 10 from another hard drive

    I do more reading and digesting than actually adding content.  But I wanted to share my recent experience with a recalcitrant server.
    I have a V440 server remote to my home location.  We needed to rebuild it from scratch - wipe and reload the OS, patch it, secure it, and then release back to the customer to reload their data.
    First, as per usual, we tried a Sol 10 DVD. Failed. We tried another DVD. Failed. We tried booting a DVD on a local machine here, which succeeded here, and then shipped it out to the site, where it again failed.
    I updated the firmware. Tried to boot again - failed.
    I've done Jumpstarts before, but only on a local network and definitely without any firewalls or internet between them.  So I looked for WAN Jumpstart solutions.  I found some, and tried it on a couple of servers. I got fairly far with it, but because I don't have complete control of the network or the servers, I couldn't get it to work.
    VM builds are easy. And sometimes USB thumbdrives are easy - at least among the X86 world.
    I didn't even want to try the thumbdrive approach - too much work on a machine that is barely physically seen.
    I read up on dd, iso's, and hard drives - dd an ISO install image to a hard drive and then BOOT from it.  In theory it seemed like it would work, and I looked for examples.  I only found very lite examples, so I figured if I got it working, I'd give some more concrete experience.
    My machine was a V440 with 3 hard drives. My boot drive (c1t0) wasn't mirrored, but the other two were (c1t1 and c1t2). I broke the mirror and used the last drive for the install boot (c1t2):
    YMMV - IMHO, etc, etc...
    1) Copied Solaris 10 ISO to this server and placed it on c1t0.
    2) Broke my mirror
    [root]$ metastat -p
    d10 -m d11 d12 1
    d11 1 1 c1t1d0s0
    d12 1 1 c1t2d0s0
    [root]$ metadetach d10 d12
    [root]$ metadb -d /dev/dsk/c1t2d0s7
    3) Mount and copy the DVD to the freed broken mirror:
    [root]$ lofiadm -a /local/solaris10-sparc-boot.iso /dev/lofi/1
    [root]$ dd if=/dev/lofi/1 of=/dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s0 bs=4k
    dd: unexpected short write, wrote 0 bytes, expected 4096
    565041+0 records in
    565041+0 records out
    4) Verify that I can still boot (??)
    /usr/sbin/installboot /usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0
    /usr/sbin/installboot /usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s0
    5) Connect to console. Boot and install!
    [root]$ init 0
    [root]$ svc.startd: The system is coming down.  Please wait.
    svc.startd: 22 system services are now being stopped.

    1) Mount the iso as a LOFS.Well, not lofs. On Solaris lofs is the filesystem loopback driver (which lets you mount a portion of a filesystem elsewhere).
    For filesystems in a single file, you want LOFI via 'lofiadm'.
    lofiadm -a /path/to/install_media.iso
    mount -r -F hsfs /dev/lofi/1 /mnt (or whatever paths are valid...)

  • How do I configure OS X Server (Mountain Lion) to deliver mail from another domain to my mailbox?

    How do I configure OS X Server (Mountain Lion) to deliver mail from another domain to my mailbox?
    I run a personal Server at my office. It's configured under my own domain as server.mydomain.com. It's setup that it properly receives and sends e-mail for mydomain.com. I use my own mailbox [email protected] to get all my personal mail.
    I'm looking to add another domain as a secondary way for people to get to my content and information.
    I want the same address [email protected] and [email protected] to arrive in the same mailbox at my server.
    How do i do that?

    it does look like you can add virtual domains in the GUI of Server.app on at least some versions, but I don't have an OS X Server 10.8 version handy to check.
    I'd encourage spending some time to learn the command line.  In general, the payoff for learning the command line will be worth the effort expended.  You're running a mail server here and sooner or later the capabilities of the GUI will fail you.  This whether due to a configuration omission in the GUI itself, or due to the need to troubleshoot a malfunctioning mail server, a need to automate one or more of the Postfix-related sequences, or some other IT-related task.  Entirely FWIW, of course.
    Here's a cut-and-paste of the sequence just used to test the command line access to the Postfix configuration, first fetching the current value, appending example.com as the second domain, then displaying the new value, then restarting the Postfix server.  Don't enter the dollar signs; just the postconf command and following.  Adjust example.com to match your domain...
    $ postconf mydestination
    mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost
    $ sudo postconf -e 'mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost, example.com'
    Password: {your admin password here}
    $ postconf mydestination
    mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost, example.com
    $ sudo postfix reload
    The Postfix and Postconf commands work irrespective of the OS X Server version; the tools reference the data files as needed.
