J Series All-In-One #VPCJ117FX Replace/Upgrade GPU

Can you replace/upgrade the NVIDIA GeForce 300M GPU in this machine?  I have checked everywhere and cannot find an answer.  If it can't be replaced, what about being able to download the recent driver from their site?

Hi sassi_red,
Welcome to Sony Community!
What we usually recommend upgrading are memory (RAM) and hard disk drive only. It is possible but I cannot confirm that since we have limited information regarding compatible (upgraded) parts for your unit. And possibly there will be modifications as well on other parts of the computer.
Instead of upgrading the graphics card of your unit, try to visit this link from Microsoft on how to maximize your [gaming] experience with your computer: Improve your computer's gaming performance
Hope the link helps.
Best regards,

At last i came here for all of our friends support, those who are using these above hp 1300 series all-in-one printers.  friends please help me in this issue to get a driver for my printer.   Thanking you all.

    Hi talamala,
if you go to the link below, and under "detect MY Product" on the right, click find now, this should hopefully identify the driver you need
    http://www8.hp.com/ie/en/drivers.html
if that doesn;t work, please let me know what OS you are using and the exact model number of your printer I think psc 1300 is the series number not the model number.

  • Do I need to download drivers for an HP 8600 all in one printer after upgrading to Mavericks from Mountain Lion?

I am about to upgrade my Mac's OS from Mountain Lion to Mavericks.   I recently networked to my Mac on our home wireless network an HP 8600 all in one printer/scanner and an HP LaserPro 127.   I saw a note posted in a non-Apple forum stating that the Mavericks upgrade should include the drivers needed to run these products on Mavericks.   Is that correct or will I need to download a new set of drivers from HP after I upgrade to Mavericks?
    Any guidance would be appreciated.

  • Compatibility re MacBook Pro (early 09) and Lexmark 7100 Series All in One?

Just purchased a new MacBook Pro with OS 10.5.6. Having difficulty getting my Lexmark 7100 All in One Printer/etc. to work with it. Computer does not recognize Lexmark 7100 printer/etc. and I keep getting messages saying that Lexmark works with OS 10.2.3 and later, not Classic. Of course computer has OS 10.5.6. Already downloaded new Lexmark drivers; did not help. Used this Lexmark with my G4 computer and OS 10.4.2. Is it compatible with OS 10.5.6?

Has it created a virtual printer icon on the Desktop ?
If not then it's not installed or configured correctly. It should work once you've got the settings right ...
(I has one that did work with 10.5 but recently upgraded to a Canon Pixma)

  • LENOVO C SERIES ALL IN ONE DESKTOP PC

Hi...Im new to this site and just wanted to ask a question,
I bought a lenovo all in one c series pc..Only a few days ago,
I got it home and booted it up as you do,
Then it went to mircosoft updates and found 45 updates....So it downlosaded them and it went to reboot but all i got was a blank black screen with just the wireless light and the power light on...
Any ideas to what is happening ?....
Im from the UK if that helps
    Rob

I have had the exact same problem and it is confirmed it is down to the Intel GMA 3150 update that Windows Update installs for you.
I recommend you print or write the following instructions down before doing them as restarts are required throughout the process.
If the Intel GMA 3150 update has been installed you'll find your computer will go blank once it's loaded into Windows. There is an update available from Lenovo that I'll explain about below, but first you need to uninstall that update that is causing the problem. Press the power button on your Lenovo All-in-One for it to automatically switch off. Then turn your computer on again. AS SOON AS YOU SEE THE LENOVO START UP SCREEN, continue to press the F8 key until you see many options listed on a black background with white text (basically keep pressing the F8 key for 5-10 seconds when you see the Lenovo bootup logo). The reason for this is because the F8 key is registered just after the Lenovo bootup logo. If you don't see anything on your screen within 10 seconds, your display may be turned off even though the power is on - press the button next to the power button on your display to turn it on, and you should see the options I described.
Now use your Arrow Key on your keyboard to select Safe Mode (choose the first option) and it'll eventually boot into Windows. Then go to the Start menu, right-click on Computer and select Properties. Then from the new window that'll appear, select Device Manager from the left hand side. Then in the newer, smaller window, double-click under "Display" and find the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator option - right-click on it and select "Uninstall". Make sure from the next window that pops up you select the checkbox to delete the files relating to the driver. It will probably ask you to restart your computer at this point. Your computer should boot up into Windows as usual but everything will appear bigger than usual.
When you're logged into Windows, go to the Start menu, search for Windows Update and launch the program. From the left of the new window, select "Change settings" and where it says "Important updates" there's a drop down box; choose "Download updates but let me choose whether to install them". This is a temporary measure to ensure the Intel GMA 3150 driver isn't reinstalled until we install the update from Lenovo that fixes this issue.
Now, this blank screen issue has been rectified by Lenovo in the form of a software update that is available from http://consumersupport.lenovo.com. From there enter your serial number (found on the back of your computer) - or alternatively select the option that starts at the top of the list of Lenovo computers - for instance, my All in One is Lenovo C200 so it's listed as "3000 C200". From there, find the BIOS update that can be installed via the operating system which is at the top of the list of the drivers available. Download the .exe file, run the application for it to install itself and then restart your computer once it is installed. Then go back to the downloads page at http://consumersupport.lenovo.com and also download the second file which has a .txt extension (I believe); these are the instructions. Follow the simple instructions. Once you have followed the instructions you'll see it asking you to enter any key to restart. For me it didn't restart the computer so I had to do this manually by pressing the Windows key on the keyboard which opens the Start menu and using the arrow keys to get to the Restart section of the Start menu. Once your computer restarts, go back to Windows Update and change settings back to "Install updates automatically". Now click OK and then back at the left section select "Check for updates". Once it has checked for updates click on the "important updates available" link in the Windows Update window and find the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator option (if you can't find it, from the left select "Optional", it should be in there instead. Whichever one it is in, make sure all updates are DESELECTED in both Important and Optional and then go back to whichever section the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Update is in, and select that update, then click OK from the bottom right and go ahead and install it. Once it is installed, you'll find your display goes black. Don't worry at this point, this is the update installed. Wait 1 minute and then press the power button for 3 seconds for your computer to turn off (once you press the power button it'll take a few seconds to turn off). Turn on your computer again and you'll find it boots back into Windows fine with that Intel update that previously caused a blank screen at start up. Everything is now done and the Intel update is now installed. The reason it causes a black screen after it is installed I don't know, but after turning off/on again, everything works fine - since the BIOS update has fixed the blank screen at start up problem.
Hope this helps. I know it's in depth, but it shouldn't take too long. I'm a customer and not a staff member at Lenovo, by the way and I did everything I described above when I had the same problem. A Lenovo staff member over the phone did explain about the Intel GMA driver causing problems when I called for an unrelated problem and then it happened to me later on, realising it's the Intel GMA driver that Windows Update installed.

  • HP Deskjet 2540 Series All in One Printer Offline

Ok so I have had this problem for what seems like forever now. This has happened multiple times, and I always have had to use online HP tech support to fix it, but this time I don't seem to have that option. My printer says that the status is offline, and I really need to print something. I have gone through the forums, tries multiple different answers that multiple people say will work, and nothing has worked so far.

HI , Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand that you're having issues with your HP Deskjet 2540 Printer going offline. I would like to look into this with you. There are many reasons why this might be happening, is your printer connected wirelessly? Important! Do you turn your printer off between uses? If your printer is connected wirelessly, I recommend you always leave it on so it stays connected to your wireless network. Otherwise, it will lose the wireless network configuration and will need to be setup again and again. To determine which of these documents is suited to the problem, it will depend on whether your wireless light is blinking or is solid. If your wireless light is blinking, then it is no longer on the wireless network. Follow this guide, HP Deskjet 2540 and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2540 All-in-One Printer Series - Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection. If the wireless light is solid, than it is still connected the wireless network. Follow this guide, HP Printers - 'Offline' Printer Status Message Displays (Windows 8). What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you. Good Luck!

  • Help with d series all in one

Need a little help with my d145 allin one changed printer heads and cartiages all i get is blue and red what to do

Most likely you have some very old #78 cartridges. The cartrdiges have a shelf life and can lose colors (usualy yellow and cyan first) if stored for years. If these are original HP cartridges check the cartridge warranty date as shown here.
If the cartridges are within their two year warranty call HP at 1-800-HPINVENt or contact your dealer for replacements. If the cartridges are beyond their warranty period then purchase a fresh cartridge.
When buying new cartridges look for the "install by" date on the package. I would look for a package with at least six months remaining before the "install by" date, which would have a year of remaining warranty.
When storing unused cartridges for an extended period keep them in a cool place and keep them upright as they would hang on a store display. This will provide maximum shelf life.

My Printer has worked great for years, I recently moved and my Scanner when trying to Scan to PC has not worked ever since. I tried Uninstalling my printer and re-installing using my original disc. Everything says it was successfully re-installed. But now nothing will work, Scanner works and stops just as it is about to finish and shows an error. 3. Right-click (or  Ctrl  +click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system…
    4. Click OK to confirm the reset.
    5. Type the correct Name and Password.
    6. Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows no printer selected

  • Unable to connect my 1300 series all in one printer

the connect and update buttons from the pull down menu are disabled and i don't know why or how to enable it again. I have one print job in queue that will not restart!!!! please help. thanks in advance!

    Greetings pbdq,
As the user above stated, you should remove the previous software used.
When you go to re-add the printer, it may download the software you need via Apple Software Update.
However, if it does not, use the link above.

  • HT3500 I have a MacBook Pro and an HP ENVY 110 SERIES All-In-One .  I can't seem to get a network set up or either one to locate or connect to the other one.

I've spent hours, actually probably days, trying to do this but it's not working. I've had the ENVY since Nov
and have not been able to print - much less do anything else with it.
My internet is CLEAR wireless. I use the little USB 4G Mobil Modem. This new HP ENVY is also wireless.
I know I can't be online and print at the same time unless I get a router.
I also know that I can go offline and change the network pref  to "airport" so I can print. Meaning I'll have to change
back and forth but for my uses,  that's ok..at least for right now.
What I can't seem to get set-up correctly is my own local network.
I'm pretty sure it's suppose to be done using "Airport".
Obviously, I'm doing something wrong in establishing my network.
The printer is listed on my printer preferences and shown as  "offline"  "default". I assume that means the ENVY
is my default printer.  Great! At least my Pro knows it's suppose to connect to the ENVY once everything's set-up correctly.
Now, if someone could just tell me exactly, step-by-step what to do to get that done....
    I'd be soooo very happy!
    Thank you!
    Ricki

Well... no help was found here.. so I abandoned the wireless- ness of my printer.  I bought a
small 10 port hub because only 2 USB ports really isn't enough with wireless mouse, wireless internet
and any kind of printer.   I also bought a long USB cable.  I now print--wired since this can be done
as an alternative to wireless with this printer.   Because I don't want a cable "hanging around"
when the printer is not in use, I simple disconnect it and reconnect when I want to print.
It's a temporary solution others may find helpful as well. Apparently there's been a lot of
confusion and problems getting this printer set up wirelessly with our MacBooks.
Shame on HP for not helping us out!

    Hi there,
To make sure there is no software conflict causing this try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03275041&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en

  • 1315 series all in one printing problem

    Hello,
the printer suddenly won`t function.I asked to print a pdf document, but the function won`t start.
In the status bar it says 3 pending documents, because i asked 2 more times to print this document as it woudn`t start.
I have tried to cancel them and start again but no luck. I also can`t figure out if there is a way to delete them ftom the que.
Anyway I need this printer to start working again?
    Any suggstions?
    Thanks in advance!

I would suggest downloading and running the HP Printing Diagnostic Utility.  If that does not resolve the issue then please provide some details - is this the PSC 1315 or some other model?  What operating system?
