J4680 printing comes out as program

In order to print out, have to select what printing is wanted, copy, then to go Microsoft Word, paste, print.  When tech had me uninstall printer completely & then reinstalled it & tested - it printed test okay.  When went back again from wanting print from other, i.e.. Bank payments, HP, E-mail, etc. only thing is getting "PROGRAMMING RESULTS"
How is this corrected to have not have programing printed out instead the actual printed?
Please advise - this is something new in last few weeks - it printed any wanted in the past.
Thanks
PS
Wanting to print this post, but again got only "PROGRAMMING RESULTS".

when i print any images (photos etc) on a pages doc, it comes out as a negative image
The colourants on the colour desktop display and the colourants on the colour deskside printer are controlled by a conversion that is supposed to be under the control of what is called a colour profile, that is, a colour matching transform in the file format of the International Color Consortium.
Publishing software uses its own machinery while software for personal productivity publishing uses the machinery in the operating system. Supposedly, at least. This suggests that you either have a problem in the setup of your printer driver, in the setup of the ColorSync Utility (where the ICC transform for your colour desktop display and colour deskside printer are registered) or in the ICC profiles assigned to colour objects in Apple Pages. I'm sorry, but it is not possible to be more specific without more information.

  • CS5.5 InDesign: Last 2 pages of multipage duplex print come out 1-sided

Using CS5.5 InDesign, last 2 pages of a multipage duplex print come out 1-sided. Same page ranges print OK in PDF. Printer is HP Color Laserjet 4700 with latest device firmware. Have latest HP drivers on Mac OS 10.7.
This is a recent problem. Had no problems with CS5 InDesign duplex printing from this computer to this printer until a couple weeks ago. First sign of an issue was that printing slowed to a crawl. Literally 5 minutes to resolve one page to the printer. Updated the printer firmware and speedy printing returned, but then noticed the duplex printing issue. Problems began about the same time as a Mac OS system update, but I'm not sure which came first, the software update or the printing issues. No problems with the printer from other software or other computers on the network.
I have read that certrain InDesign print settings sometimes produce unexpected results in some computer environments. Am hoping this is the case, and someone on this forum will know the trick.

I think for most users, "the trick" that produces the most consistently predictable result is to never print directly from InDesign; always go to PDF and print that. Personally, I haven't even attempted to print from InDesign since CS2.

  • When printing objects with lowered opacity prints come out pink

At the office here we have a SHARP MX-5112N PCL6. We use Adobe Indesign CS6 for designing and printing our marketing material. A problem I have encountered is everytime I use a lowered opacity on a filled coloured object the print comes out a pink/magenta colour no matter what the colour is on the document.
I have attached two images to show what the print should come out like (first image) and what it does come out like (second image) on the SHARP MX-5112N PCL6.
I have tried various printer colour settings but nothing seems to correct this.
If anyone has a solution for this please leave a comment below. This only happens when using tints/opacity adjustments so its definately a software issue.
    Many thanks,
    Nick

Have you got the latest print driver for your printer?
Have you downloaded a postscript driver for your printer? If you do - you can install the PS driver as a separate printer in your printing options and try print from that instead.

  • Every photo I print comes out red.

Colour printing works fine till I choose photo paper.  The picture is black and white. The print comes out of printer Red.   This has never happened to me before.  I tried printing from Adobe Photoshop elements and Iphoto  Same results from both.

Check your printer.  The nozzels may need to be cleaned.  Run the printer's utility to clean and check the nozzels and check the ink supply.  Some printers use multiple colors in prints B/W images.

  • Prints come out as blank

prints come out as blank using Adobe X 10.1.2 win 7 on network printer ( HP 2035N )

I started to have the same issue last night on my Samsung printer. Here are some things I did. One, I noticed it defaulted to printing to One Note and not my printer. I also had to change the Quality advanced setting from 600 to dpi1200 . I was also printing blank pages from gmail so anyway hope this helps. I'm printing today. Also my drivers for my printer were recently updated via software update so I don't know if that had any impact or not. I went to my Samsung Easy Printer Manager app and made sure the settings looked okay and I had the right default printer selected. The good news is that it technically is "printing" now it's just finding out the setting or why it's not getting the text info. You may want to also mark print in gray scale to see if that has some impact. Good luck

  • Just bought a 8500a, when printing a photo on HP Premium Plus paper, the prints come out not glossy

Just bought a 8500a, when printing a photo on HP Premium Plus paper, the prints come out  flat, not glossy.
On my old HPL7680 a photo w/same paper come out glossy & shiny. This maybe what should be expected w/8500A and is not a problem w/the printer. The 8500A is set to advanced photo paper, best quality. I worked w/HP tech support and was told to send back to the Amazon where I bought it for replacement. But if this is not really a defective printer than it doesn't make sense to send it back. I also purchased a HP C510 Photosmart and the quality on photos is excellent, so I have solved my photo printing problems per say. Has anyone else noticed lack luster, non shiny photos coming from the 8500A?
My thought process was that if the L7680 printed a shiny, glossy photo, then the 8500A should too. But this may not be what I should expect...
IS MY 8500A DEFECTIVE OR JUST WHAT SHOULD BE EXPECTED FROM AN OFFICEJET PRINTER AS OPPOSED TO A PHOTOSMART PRINTER.
    thx Jim

The Officejet 8500 uses pigmented inks which have different characteristics than dye based inks.  HP Premium Plus paper is not really very suitable with pigmented inks, a better choice would be HP Advanced Photo paper.

  • Prints come out wrong size

I have 32 bit Vista Ultimate, an HP 7410 printer, and Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 with all the updates. When I print a single print, it comes out the size it is supposed to be. However if I use the "Print Multiple Photos" Option using the same pictures, the pictures do not come out the size I select from the menu.
Is anyone else having this problem? Any fixes?

What size you are getting when you are trying to print multiple copies.
Are you using Organizer or Editor for printing...
    Did you try resetting preferences?

  • Everything I try to print comes out blank.

No matter what I try to print from firefox it comes out as a blank page.. unlike other similar posts on this site my print preview is NOT blank. It looks normal, but then only blank pages shoot out of the printer.
I am using two different printers.
I CAN print to both printers from the SAME websites using chrome or IE10 but it CANNOT print to EITHER of them from firefox.
I HAVE ALREADY tried every trouble shooting step located here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox
I HAVE ALREADY tried the 'reset' firefox and I've uninstalled and reinstalled firefox. None have solved the problem in any way.

Known issue with Win10. There are multiple Bugs filed which the Mozilla developers are working on.

  • For some reason all of my forwards, and my printing come out significantly smaller than the original. Any idea how to get this back to printing the size of my screen and forwarding the size of the original mail I've received? Thanks.

Hi. I am not technically proficient. I have somehow hit something that is making my email forwards and text to the printer way smaller than what is appearing on my screen. I have looked into everything I can think of in settings and outlook express. If you have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate them. I assume that one click and I'll be back to "normal", but can't figure out which darned click that would be.  Thanks.

Have you checked Outlook's font preferences?  You can change to size under General Preferences>Fonts.  You can also change font sizes by using ⌘shift+

  • I recently downloaded Firefox 4 and now everything I send to my printer comes out jumbled. What can I do to fix this? Was able to print fine with 3.6.

Print is scattered all over the page(s). There is no real pattern to the jumble. Didn't have this problem with the older version. I use a Canon printer on my wireless network.

There is a bug involving printing in beta 12, this is fixed in Firefox 4 release candidate which is due out soon.

  • Print from wireless laptop and print comes out hours later

My wife has a wirelessly connected laptop and when she prints from it, the printer doesn't print for a few hours.  When I print from the desktop which is connected directly to the router it prints right away.    We have a Netgear router, windows 7 and the Printer is an HP C5180 All In One.
    Any help would be appreciated.

If you are able to print from your desktop properly, then the printer has been setup correctly. The issue could be with AV or Firewall programs installed on your wife's laptop, or some connectivity issue between her laptop and your router. These are the only 2 possibilities I can think of at this point. Try to disable the firewall and AV and they try printing.

  • Print comes out very large and oversize on my paper

    I have photosmart 6180.  When I print my stuff, suddenly everything is coming out oversized and very very large.  One page takes about 3 sheets to print.  How can I correct this setting?  My emails will print normal size but not the stuff from the website ;

    Hi Gatorjack61,
What operating system are you using ?
What about if you print a photo that is saved on your computer, does it look normal or oversized ?
You can try the steps below which were suggestions from banhien and Pushkarpathania in this post.
You can shrink before sending to printer (well also enlarge).
Just use Print > Print Preview
Under Shrink small drop down window, just select the right % for you.
Or you could try Pushkarpathania's suggestion:
•Click the arrow next to the Print button , click Print Preview, and then click Custom in the Change Print Size list. Specify how large you would like the webpage to be printed by setting a percentage in the Custom Size text box. This will enlarge the printed size of the entire webpage, but it might result in some of the webpage being cut off in the printed document. For more information about print preview.
    1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.
    2. Click the arrow next to the Print button , and then click Print Preview.
    3. In the Change Print Size list SHRINK TO FIT , click Custom.
    4. In the Custom Size text box, specify how large you want the webpage to be printed by setting a percentage. This will enlarge the printed size of the entire webpage, but it might result in some of the webpage being cut off in the printed document.
    Hope this is helpful.

  • Laserjet 1320 - no duplex, print comes out offset, top 4 lines missing

    Hi,
I have an HP Laserjet 1320 connected to an Ubuntu (Gutsy) server and shared as a SMB printer.
Printing from Linux or Windows XP works fine: the print is aligned, I get duplex etc.
When I print from my Macbook Pro running Leopard 10.5.1 I get the following:
    - The print alignment is offset vertically, resulting in the top four lines or so missing from each print (i.e. off the paper).
    - No matter what I sent in the print dialog duplex does not work.
I have installed the latest driver from the HP site, but that didn't make any difference.
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    D.

    I found this fix for duplex from a 1320;

The thrust is that the print option is set intra-application, not at printer level. Say launch word, select print, then click on copies and pages, this gives you the option for 2 sided. You can over type the "standard-1" with text such as "Duplex 2 sided printing", which then defaults to mail etc.
