J6480 All-in-One doesn't print whole page

I have a J6480 All-in-One and when I print envelopes it sometimes does not print the last part of the address. For example
Return Address
Prints Fine
City, State ZIP
                                                                        Jonathan A. Smi
                                                                        123 Broadway S
                                                                         Anywhere, IL 61
It might do this once or twice and then finally print correctly. Very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, what I found was that if I create and save a envelope file in Word 2007 then the printing works correctly every time.

My HP Officejet J6480 All-In-One has started printing multiple pages.

All of a sudden my officejet J6480 printer is printing multiple pages every time I print. I've made sure it is saying only 1 copy, but it still continures printing the extra pages.

Disconnect the power cable and the usb cable from the computer. Restart both the printer and the computer. Clear the print que. Fan all the pages in the printer. Power on the printer connect the usb cable and try printing again. Happy Printing

HP4507 all in one doesn't print

I bought one of these before and had same problem so I sent it back. I didn't realise I had bought the same model this time. And same problem all the print set up pages and test pages are great. When I try to print from my pc or from online it doesn't print anything. It doesn't queue any jobs up. I am obviously missing something. Why is it so painfully difficult to just get the printer to do what it is supposed to do. It is wireless connected. I cant connect from a usb connection as the lead never came with the printer. which I am not happy about to start with. The printer keeps telling me to load paper but there is paper already there. Then runs through the whole set up proceedure again. Why is it doing this??. I tried the online diagnostic set up trouble shooter. but the test page started printing then after 3 lines it paused for an age I had to press back and finally it spat out the test page. Can anyone help me. its now 6 months since I printed anything from this computer. 4 printers 2 broke. I am losing the faith. Thanks in advance

I see you are having issues printing. I would like to help!
I'd recommend starting with a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

Deskjet 3050 All-In-One J610 only prints blank pages

Hi,
All of a sudden, my printer stopped printing. The ink levels in the cartridges look fine in the HP utlity, and I did the self-cleaning steps, but when I print something, only a blank page comes out. There is some ink around the edge of the paper, though, but nothing on the actual page.
Any idea how I can fix this?

Cleaning the printheads is a great way to resolve print quality issues on the Deskjet 3050. On the cleaning page, does anything print on it?
In this HP document: Fixing Ink Streaks, Faded Prints, and Other Common Print Quality Problems you will see the full HP suggested troubleshooting steps. I hope they are able to help get the printer working again.

HP 5520 all-in-one will not print alignment page

Printer printed page as if there was no black ink. Replaced cartridge and tried to align but would not print a proper alignment page. Replaced all cartridges.Page it prints is not recognized in scan. I have tried everything. UnPlugging, reload paper, new driver, new install, I need to print tax info and the **bleep** thing will not align, will not copy, will not print. Help

Hi - Does it print slowly from all applications or just certain ones? In either case, you can try following the steps in this document.
In addition, try going into Control Panel, Printer, right click on the printer and choose Printer Properties. Click on the Advanced Tab and select Print Direcly to the Printer.

Communication Failure With HP Officejet J6480 All-In-One

I bought a new printer, an HP Officejet J6480 All-In-One, and set it up with my PC.
Then, I set it up with my mac. I get this error: "Communication Failure: The computer is no longer able to communicate with your printer. Turn the printer off, check your printer connections and check for printer errors, and turn the printer back on."
I recently bought an Epson printer but returned it cause it was too slow. That printer gave me a similar (maybe the same, I don't remember) error. I can scan and check ink levels but I can't print. I'm connected by USB by the way.
What's wrong? I downloaded the latest drivers and software yesterday. Why can't I print?

And on HP Photosmart C7280 All-In-One.
I've got mine connected to the network on Ethernet - figured that would be less problematic than wifi - and my MacPro can see everything about the printer, just not print to it. This includes the C7280's built-in webserver which - like alot of SOHO routers - gives you a web-based interface to the printer's configuration and status. Everything on that page looks right-on, but no printing.
The printer's copy and fax functions work, and I can even scan images and save them across the network onto my machine, so the printer is already interoperating with the network to a high degree, just not printing.
Like alot of people, I bypassed the HP driver CD and downloaded a fresh software package yesterday from HP's site (200MB+, ***?), which is what I used to configure my system. As far as I could tell, there appear to be no firmware updates available for this printer. MacOS "Software Update" doesn't offer any printer driver updates - I'll try the posted link to Apple's site next.

HP Office Jet J6480 All In One - will not scan with Mac OS 10.8 .3

I have been unable to get my HP Office Jet J6480 All In One to scan after upgrading to 10.8.3.I have followed other posts and have installed the most up to date driver (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907) but each time i try to scan from the HP device manager or the photosmart studio, it says "Sorry, scanner could not be intialized. (scanner not found)" I have tried making sure there are no other updates by clicking on settings in the device manager and clicking check for updates but it tells me "server not availalbe - the software service is currently not available. please try again later" and i have gotten this error for the last week.
I followed the second set of instructions found here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Mac-Printing-and-Scanning/HP-Software-Update-Server-Unavailable/td-p/18... to try to resolve that issue and have installed the software found at the link. I rebooted my computer and am still having the same problem.
Note: My printer is wireless and i have not hooked it up via a cord. Will that make a difference?
My printer seems to be printing fine.

Try scanning from your Mac. Use Image Capture app in your Applications folder.
Click once on the scanner on the left side, then click on Show Details along the bottom. Along the right side you will see LOTS of options for scanning and saving.

HP PSC 1610 All-In-One doesn't see that paper is loaded and keeps asking me to load paper and press OK. I have done that per manual with no success. What's going on?

OK, I think this was among a series of "recalled" (years ago) printers where the feed rollers would become coated with a very slick substance that was outgassing from the rubber. There was a cleaning kit made for this but I am not sure it is still available. Instructions for it are here.
It the absence of the kit, you can clean the rollers manually by removing the rear door and scrubbing the three rollers with Scotchbrite. Red was used in the kit, but green may be aggressive enough to do the job. You may have to fiddle with the printer to clean the entire circumference of the three rollers. Once you do this, you will be good to go for years to come!

The HP Deskjet 3050A All-In-One J611 series printer I just bought is not compatible with my Mac Book Pro. What do I need to do?

I recently purchased an HP Deskjet 3050A All-In-One J611 series printer and it is not compatible with the version of the operating system on my mac book pro. I am currently running on OS X 10.4.11 and the printer is compatible with v10.5 or higher. What can I do to update the operating system on my Mac Book Pro?

10.5 will be harder to find & more expensive, I think I'd go for 10.6
Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
    * Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
minimum system requirements
    * 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)

The cyan portion of the printhead may be clogged. I would suggest running the diagnostics shown here. If three levels of cleaning of the printheads does not resolve the issue you may need a new printhead.
