Jabber 9.1.2 missing DLL's with Win8 64bit and WebEx Connect

I realize that Windows 8 is not yet listed as supported operating system for Cisco Jabber for Windows, but I would like to make it work anyway I am trying to use Cisco Jabber for Windows 9.1.2 on Windows 8 with WebEx Connect. I am able to log in and IM just fine, but when I attempt to launch an Instant WebEx Meeting the first time, I receive the error
"WebEx Meeting is unavailable. Unable to connect to WebEx meeting server. Please try again later."
However, for any subsequent attempt to launch an Instant WebEx Meeting, I receive three errors in this order:
1) The program can't start because atWbxUI14.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
2) The program can't start because ATKBCTL.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
3) WebEx Meeting is unavailable. Unable to connect to WebEx meeting server. Please try again later.
In both cases (fresh install and subsequent attempts) I receive an email letting me know that my meeting is in progress. So, I know that it has connected to meeting center and set up the meeting. It just can't seem to launch the WebEx interface. I have no problems launching WebEx by any other method that I have tried (e.g., Productivity Tools, from a browser, or if I uninstall Jabber and install the WebEx Connect client).
Has anyone seen this one?

I had actually tried that already, but just for kicks I did it again. Webex Connect was not installed. I uninstalled anything that had the word webex in it. I uninstalled Cisco Jabber. I went through C:\ProgramData and C:\Users\[username]\AppData\, and I deleted anything that had the words Webex or Jabber. I rebooted the computer, I installed Cisco Jabber. I rebooted the computer again before starting the application. Then I went into meetings and clicked "Instant WebEx Meeting." It gets to the point where it is installing the webex plugin. Once the WebEx plugin installion completes, I get the same error as before.
Since Windows 8 is not listed as a fully supported operating system for Cisco Jabber for Windows, I suppose this kind of thing is to be expected. I was just hoping that maybe someone had found a work around.

    Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been able to configure the Jabber for Mac 8.6.2 client to use the WebEx Connect presence server with a local CUCM and Unity Connection servers. The preferences accounts tab does not show or allow the addition of the voice services. I have added from a working local CUCM preferences plist file what I believe are the correct entries however I still cannot see the accounts on the preferences tab. We currently do not have a local cisco presence server hence the requirement to trial the WebEx Connect server as I can't get past the first configuration step without it.

    Hi - I have done this via the admin portal but still cannot get the Jabber client for Mac to register for voice.  The Windows version works fine for the same user and CUCM device.   Are there any other settings that need to be enabled specific to the Mac client?

    Gordonr18571658 I am sorry I don't have any additional suggestions for how to install Photoshop Elements 1.0 besides installing in compatibility mode for Windows XP.
    As an alternative you can find details regarding Photoshop Elements 13 at Picture editor, edit pictures | Adobe Photoshop Elements 13.  Photoshop Elements 13 has been designed to install and function under Windows 8.1.  There is a 30 day trial if you wish to evaluate the software and complete any current photo editing projects you may be facing.

    This is my first question on the forum so please be gentle!
    I have a customer who has a Business Edition 3000 and they have purchased WebEx connect and Jabber integration to go with it.
    My problem is I am having difficulty getting the setup to work and I have a number of questions on how to set this up.  Most of the docs on Cisco's website seem to be related to either CUCME or full CUCM, but not a lot on BE 3000.  My questions are below:
    1.  I have been reading the documentation for WebEx connect and it states to set the IP address of the BE 3000 server in the Configuration>Additional Services>Unified Communications>Voicemail tab.  This is currently on the network with a 192.168.x.x address however.  My predecessor put this IP address in the WebEx configuration page but I'm not sure this will work with a private IP as I don't know how this communicates back.  The documentation isn't very clear on this.  Does this have to be a public IP address / FQDN for it to work?
    2.  Are there any SRNDs for this type of setup that could help?  Again, looking through the website hasn't turned anything up yet.

  • Using TV as display with mini dvi and hdmi connections

    I want to use my flat screen tv as a display for my airbook. I have a mini dvi to hdmi connector (supplied with my mac) and an hdmi cable. When I connect, I can see my wallpaper on the tv and my cursor but nothing else. I can move the cursor on the tv with the trackpad on my mac but there are no icons, toolbars etc. What am I doing wrong and can anyone help?

    If you want to see your desktop (icons, menus, etc.) you need to go into Apple Menu: System Preferences -> Displays and select "Mirror Display" under the Arrangement tab. There is also an option that allows you to move the menu bar over to the external display.

  • File with exclamation mark and cannot connect

    My ipod stopped working. I had a low battery so I charged it. Now when I try to turn it on, it just churns and churns and then the file with exclamation mark comes on the screen. Also, when I try to connect it to my computer, the computer doesn't recognize it.

    Unbelieveable, since last Saturday, I needed to fix up 3 iPods with similar problems from family members and friends, 2 connected with PC and 1 with Mac. I guess it will be a good idea if I can share with you all and hope that it can give you some hints when you try to fix yours before sending it for repairing.
    Before you do anything I suggest that you should read the following carefully..

    Most problems came from the iPod not being recongzied by the computer (mainly PC and I find it less often with Mac). Second issue is iPod not being charged for quite some time.
    I must say that I am not an expert but I did learn something during the past experience on fixing for more than 10 iPods but none of them are shuffle.
    The first thing you need to do is plug your iPod directly to the AC charger not the USB of your computer, and leave it for 2-3 hours and most of the time you will able to wake up your iPod.
    Secondly, do a reset of your iPod when it hangs, it is simple just press "Select"+"Menu" keys, which will not erase your data of your iPod.
    In case the above both do not manage to fix your iPod problem then you may force to do the following, but it will erase all your data therefore it is always to be wise to have a backup before your iPod got problem.
    1. Reinstall the latest iPod updater after the reset
    If 1 still not able to recongize your iPod by the computer then you have to put your iPod to DiskMode i.e. plug your iPod to the AC charges, do a RESET and press "Select"+"Play" keys, you will see the message "Disk Mode" in few sec. Then you need to connect your iPod with your computer, and hope that it will be recongized. If you are lucky to reach this stage then you simply need to restore your iPod updater, and your iPod should be back to normal.Please note that You may need to plug and unplug few times in order to let your iPod to be recongized.
    If your iPod still not able to be recongized then you have to format your iPod while it is in a Disk Mode, you need to use the Disk Utility software (for Mac - I am not sure about PC) to erase the Partition of your iPod then do a formatting and disk verify straight after. Then you should able to reach the final stage i.e. restore the latest iPod updater and sysc your iPod with your iTune.
    Additional hints which may help your during the fixing ..
    1. Try to do few attempts, which could take you as long as 1 hour
    2. Try to exchange cables to connect with your computer i.e. USB and Firewire
    3. If you fail to solve your iPod with your PC then try to fix it with Mac and vice versa. Surprisingly, I do have experience that the iPod got recognized by my Mac after I connected it with a PC
    Above are my experience and I am glad that more than 90% chance I am able to solve the iPods' problem with only one iPod Mini needed to be repaired.

    I have been searching and trying to make this work for the last few days.  The problem is that I need to run some examples of a device's sdk.  When i try to load them I get a error message displayed about niSTCu.dll missing("This application has failed to start because niSTCu.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.").   The thing is that I have installed quite diferrent versions of niDaq and the last clean install(I erased the other previous versions) was with the one mentioned above(the latest one).  I don't know if I need to re-install the labview itself but I did re-install the daq.  I dont know were to find that dll, I even installed the GPIB driver  ni-488.2 and still I have that problem. I really need to run it please help!!!!

    It is a place to post but you seem to be unwilling to provide enough information for anyone to help. You refuse to post this example code. If you would do that simple thing, someone would know what LabVIEW functions are being used and what driver is required. Why can't you do this simple task? The problem is not with LabVIEW.
    If you have problems talking to a GPIB instrument, don't even think of posting unless you provide the make and model of the instrument.
    Edit - it seems that dll is part of the obsolete traditional DAQ driver - not DAQmx.

  • DLL interfacing with mixed value and reference types

    I'm currently trying to work with a supplied DLL.
    I have header files and all, and the DLL import wizard does a decent job of importing the DLL functions but there are some data types which simply can't be handled.
    The DLL requires usage of a data type which is a struct with value and reference data types.  I could theoretically replace the references with simple U32s but much of the required information in the data is in the data structures referenced by the pointers.
    How do I go about implementing this seeing how I need to be able to pass the data back into the DLL in its original form (value and reference types).
    I have something like the following:

    *Item Next
    *Item Previous
    *Data Datastruct
    I have downloaded the WDK from Microsoft, have CVI and Visual Studio 2008 available.  I'm not very experienced at this end of things...   I can deal with Structs with pure value types but how do I get at the data in the reference types?
    I strongly suspect I need a wrapper DLL, but how is the best way to go about this?

    To be honest, I don't understand why you have to pass the ENTIRE structue (if it's "Item" structure. The pointer to the next and the previous item should be held and manituplated in the DLL, doesn't it?

    Are you talking about Labview Classes? I didn't use it yet. Sorry.
    Convert Linked List to Array You can't store all elements by value in a cluster, because it's kind of recursive. The next pointer leads to the same Item structure (with it's own next pointer. If it's a circulary-linked-list it will never stop)
    Or did you mean to store the pointers as a U32 value? That should work.
    Output the struct as a binary blob Yes, why not ! But that lets me assume you don't know the concrete "Datastructure" ?!
    I'm honest again I can't see the important information you mentioned if you pass the Data structure as a binary blob.
    Read-only is a very good idea. If you don't need to tweak the pointers in the list you should avoid it.

  • Problem with Java Proxy and Socket Connection

    Hi Gurus!!
    I have developed a Java Proxy that connects via socket with a Server Socket application. This Server Socket application accepts more than one connection at the same time.
    When I connect the first time from my Java Proxy, the connection is correctly established. When the first connection opened, if a try a second connection, this is not established.
    I use "new Socket(SocketServer,SocketPort);" to open the connection.
    I think that all time the Java Proxy is trying to open the same connection, and this is a problem.
    Is there a way to indicate to the server that is a new connection and that the existing connections remain?
    Anybody could help me, please?

    iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.
    The content should have been copied from the old computer to the new computer or at the very least from the backup of the old computer.

  • Problem with Virtual PC and Network Connection - VPC gets disconnected

    I've been having a few problems with a virtual computer and its network connection.  I've set up a few computers the same way over the years and they all work fine except this one.  We use the Virtual PC and XP mode to access our data from an older
    program.  The databases are on a server, which are accessed as a mapped drive.  Every once in a while (with no particular pattern, sometimes it doesn't happen all day, sometimes it happens every 5 mins), the VPC gets disconnected from the network,
    my program returns a file read error and then everything is frozen.  When I try to ipconfig/release and renew, it releases correctly then it won't renew.  I need to shut down the VPC from the Win7 task manager and even so, it doesn't shut it down,
    even when I try to kill the vpc process.  The only way it'll come back up is if I restart the computer.  The network connection on the Win7 computer doesn't do that.
    Is there anything I can do to fix this ?

    Does it become more stable now, actually, I'm afraid that this issue is not related with the drive letter or name. Since you're using bridge mode, the I would suggest you use NAT as a test, it is the default network configuration, which allows the VM
    to leverage the external TCP/IP network connected to the host. This is very useful if you regularly move the host computer between different network configurations. NAT is the preferred networking option when there is a shortage of IP addresses, a need to
    ensure the VM’s IP address is not targetable from an external network, or a need for connecting using WWAN.

  • Problem with masked SSID and network connect

    I recently purchased, and am discussing the HP Photosmart 6510 All in one product.
    I have read, and verified that your product does not permit connection to masked (non broadcast) SSID networks.
    I would appreciate you making a software change to support masked SSID networks. It seems unreasonable for me to be forced to lesson my security (it's hard to attack or connect if you don't know it is there) posture to enable wireless printing. The printer software allows you to enter an network SSID manually, so the only change needed is to enable connection to a masked SSID in the same way that a computer, or a gaming console (WII) does.
    Masking the SSID is a standard bit of functionality for network routers, so much so that every device (smart phones, gaming consoles and laptops) that I have connected all support the recognition and connection to a manually entered, masked SSID.
    Your software/firmware should support all standard functionality for wireless use if it is advertised as a wireless device.

    Let's try again. I wasn't asking for anyone's opinion regarding the efficacy of using a standard, provided bit of Wireless network functionality. It would be a mistake to assume that this is the only security method I employ, but masking simply makes it so that the other 3 networks on my block are the ones with a "welcome sign" out.
    ALL my other network supporting appliances support SSID masking.
    When will you change the software/firmware to support this standard feature (regardless of how you feel about it)?

  • 2 Issues with Curve -- Camera and Application Connectivity

    I'm having 2 issues with my Curve 8300.  I tried upgrading the SW to 4.5 but it didn't help.  Any ideas?
    - The camera is no longer working.  When I try taking pictures, it saves a JPG file but the file to the assigned folder but the file is smaller than it should be (usually ~6KB) and it doesn't render as an image.
    - I'm trying to use an application (the NYT Crossword Puzzle) but it gives me the error message "Unable to connect to the server.  Please try again later.", even though I do have connectivity for e-mail and web browsing.  I tried adjusting the application permissions in advanced settings but it didn't help.

    Hi and welcome to the forums!
    As far as the camera I would try the following:
    No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON. Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed, Thanks
