Jabber and Gsm Call status

Is it possible to automatically update presence status to busy in jabber mobile when the user is attending a gsm call?
I've been testing with jabber for iPhone and it doesn't work...

Single DN only I'm afraid. Multi-line is on the roadmap but I can't speak to a timeline.

  • Conference bridging between VoIP and GSM calls

Hello, Can E61/E62/E50/E70 do conference between one call that's running on GSM and second call running through SIP client on VoIP? Thanks, Bilal

I tried to connect the GSM call to VOIP call on E72, but it has not happened.
I presume this may be the case, also there may be a solution for this.
    VOIP Connection:
For VOIP calls the network uses an existing external IP address to transfer the information from the a server.  The information received vide VOIP shall be transformed into voice which enables us to here the data conveyed by the server.
    GSM Connection:
For GSM calls the network uses the intermediate service provider slot to convey the information as a signal throught the network. The signals are the direct output we hear as sound.
By my observation, in my mobile, the two network actions (VOIP and GSM) can be performed instantaneously or simultaneously.
The mobile needs a medium to convert either the GSM output signal (audio) to Internet packet data (bytes) and the VOIP software installed in mobile should recognize the same audio as an input and allow for a conference call.
    or
VOIP call get converted into GSM signal.

  • Jabber and Missed Call history

    Hello
I am looking for and explanation or a document around expected behavior for how the Call Log works within the Jabber for Windows client. Our customers setup has Jabber for windows deployed in Deskphone Control mode, where the Jabber clients control a single physical phone. Predominantly a 7945 series phone. How in Sync is the "CALL HISTORY" (missed call, placed call, received call) lists within the Jabber client with the physical phone itself. Examples:
If we miss a call on the physical phone and Jabber is opened, we noticed that both the physical phone and Jabber client report a missing call.
If we miss a call and Jabber is closed, we notice the physical phone reports a missed call, but when Jabber sign's in the "MISSED Call" is not reported on the Jabber client.
    Is this expected behavior?
if anyone can provide context or has a document that explains the expected behavior this would be very helpful to me.
    Thanks

    Jaime,
Just for clarity, I'm not talking about a CSF registered phone, I'm talking about Jabber running in Deskphone Control mode. So yes in a hopeful way I would expect the call history from the physical phones to be in sync since deskphone control is just remotely controlling the phone. I suppose the call history on a physical phone is likely stored locally on the phone itself and this is why they call logs do not remain in sync but i just wanted to confirm that this is a fact vs an assumption.
    Thoughts?

  • Jabber 9.2.6 not showing on call status

We have over 400 users on Jabber, and some users do not show status "on call" when on a call
    Any solutions?

Is this on-premise IM&P or SaaS WebEx Messenger for a backend?
For on-premise this is done server-side between CUCM and the IM&P cluster. For this to work the end user must be associated to the line appearance of the DN on the device making the call, not the End User Configuration page. Has this been done on that specific line appearance?  If yes, does CUCM send the SIP PUBLISH event for that call? You'll need the SDI traces for this. If yes, does the SIP Proxy on CUP receive the event and turn it into an event for the Enterprise Presence Engine?
As you can see this quickly turns into a log review session. Honestly though, it's almost always a misconfiguration in CUCM causing this.

  • Jabber and calendar integration

    Hi,
I've got two types of Jabber client deployment - on prem and cloud based (this is the old webex connect, not jabber for telepresence). Both have different issues with calendar integration.
    On prem Jabber:
    1. Presence status is passed to Outlook
    2. Calendar appointment whilst they do show up within meeting tab on Jabber client, the status of the client doesnt change to "In a Meeting" during appointments.
    Off prem Jabber:
    1. Presence status is NOT passed to Outlook
    2. Calendar appointments works fine - ie show up in the meeting tab, and status changes correctly.
I have modified AD attribute proxyaddress for on prem clients to SIP:samaccount@cupdomain, I've assumed that for off prem clients, it would be SIP:email@domain as used by login details. I cant seem to find any documentation about calendar integration with webex connect clients.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi Elena,
Is it same machine where Outlook integration works with on-prem? If not, there are few things that you could check:
    Uninstall other IM clients
Check if any other IM client with Outlook integration has been installed. Many other clients use the same api’s to integrate with Microsoft products and maybe blocking Jabber Click to X. If any other product is installed please uninstall and reboot your machine.
Some applications known to affect Jabber presence integration are: Cisco WebEx Connect, Microsoft Office Communicator, Microsoft Lync, CUCIMOC, CUCILync, Standalone Click to call, Cisco Unified Personal Communicator 8.x.

    Enabling Outlook logging
Setting this registry data enables logging for the presence features that integrate between Outlook and Jabber, and shows additional information in Outlook and Jabber. To set this registry key, do the following:
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type REGEDIT, and then click OK to start Registry Editor.
    Navigate to key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IM Providers.
Create DWORD: OfficePresenceLogging with Value: 1.
If it does not exist already, manually create %userprofile%\Tracing directory, otherwise the log files will not be created.
    Restart Outlook.
The log file is created in the %userprofile%\Tracing folder and the file name will be OfficePresence-#.log (where # is an integer). The last modified date will indicate which file is the latest.
Create a Jabber Problem Report (PRT)
Recreate the issue.Do this by opening the email\SharePoint page that shows the problem, select an example user, show their contact card.
Take screenshots of the issue and record time stamps.
Take note of the User names and email address\IM address of the problem users.
Go to your Jabber client and select Help > Report a problem, and then follow the steps to produce the problem report.

  • Jabber and Voicemail Access

    Hello,
I've configured CUCM and IM&P v9.1 and jabber client 9.2(1), the  chat and the calls work fine but when I try to log in Phone Accounts -> Voicemail I get an error about the credentials, I have all integrated with Active Directory and the user and password that I'm using for voicemail is the same that I use to log in the jabber client wich worked fine.
Here I attached the error screen.
What do you think can be causing this??
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi every body,
I have some problems but not with all the users, is only working with 3 users and the rest of them don't work, I attached the errors that I get when I try to log in Telephony Accounts in the Jabber, I used the Jabber of one User, and from here I introduce my credentials (user and password) and I can get the voice mails (only from de 3 users that is woriking fine), but when I introduce the credentials of the other user I get the error and Can't get the voicemails.
The 127.23.0.7 is the IP address of the Cisco Unity Connection.
Please Help Me I'm stuck with this!

  • Jabber and O365 integration

    Hello,
Do we need any additional licenses from Cisco or Microsoft to make a full possible integration between O365 and Jabber ?
    For example features like :
Single Inbox Unified Messaging with SpeechView transcriptions,  Microsoft Word Click to Call, SharePoint Presence & Click to Call,  Jabber video calling and desktop sharing, and WebEx on desktop and iPad,
    Thank you for your help
    Best Regards,
    Tomasz

    Tomek,
There is no direct integration between Jabber and Office 365, except for Exchange Gateway integration on IMP server side which is not supported with Office 365. All other Jabber integrations do not go to Office 365, calendar client integrations are done with Outlook, and UM integration is between Office 365 and Unity Connection, which does not affect Jabber.
    HTH,
    Chris (Krzysiek) :-)

  • Jabber and Desk Phone

    Hello guys,
I've configured CUCM and IM&P v9.1 and jabber client 9.2(1), the chat works fine and also the Cisco Unified Client Services Framework Device can make and receive calls but if I try to select the desk phone for calls it just keeps trying to select it but it doesn't work.
Is there and special config besides the normal CUCM and IM&P v9.x integration in order to use the desk phone????
What do you think can be causing this??
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello Joshua,
I tried to login to the x.x.x.x/ciscopca (with the Unity's IP) and it didn't work, I have my cucm integrated with ldap and in  my cuc I imported the users from the cucm. It seems that the authentication using the ldap users is broken in the cuc.
What do you think can be causing this??
    Thanks in advance.

  • Jabber and Desk Phone Integration

When stting up "Desk Phone Integration" on cisco Jabber on a test iPhone, Jabber loops forever when verifying account information saying just "verifying...". It never display an error message. It will eventually stop, the "Desk Phone Integration" staying "Not Configured"
    CUCM version : 8.6(2)
    iPhone iOS : 6.0.1
    Jabber client : 9.0.2.20078
I followed the instructions in the "Administration Guide for Cisco Jabber for iPhone Release 9.0.1" to setup the call manager.
I created a dedicated SIP profile,
created the TCTTEST "Cisco Dual Mode for iPhone" phone according to the documentation
and edit my phone and user settings according to the "Enable Active Call Transfer Between Cisco Jabber and Desk Phone" section of the documentation
despite all that, it doesn't work
I tried with other accounts/mobiles and the result is the same.
Jabber does register to the CUCM and I can get my extension on the Jabber client and place/receive calls using my desk extension. But the "desk phone integration" doesn't work
What I noticed is that :
on the TCTXXXX "Cisco Dual Mode for iPhone" phone device setting page, there is no "Sign In Feature" option as described in the documentation
because we use Extension mobility the "Owner User ID" feature is disable on the desk phone device settings. I temporarily uncecked the "extension mobility" checkbox on the device, setup my ID as the "Owner User ID" and re-checked the "extension mobility" checkbox but the result is the same.
I searched the web and couldn't find anyone with similar issue...help will be appreciated

    Aaron,
    Thanks for you answer.
I have followed all the requirements explained in the "Administration Guide for Cisco Jabber for iPhone Release 9.0.1" including the one you mentioned :
the user is a member of  'Standard CTI Enabled'
CTI Controlled is allowed on the DN, the end user account and the desk phone
the end user is associated to both the desk phone and the TCT phone
And 'Allow End User Configuration Editing' is set to disable on the TCTxxxx device
Despite all that the "desk phone integration" doesn't work

  • Jabber For Windows - Available Status on Hibernation

We're running Jabber for Windows 9.1.1 ansd see an issue which I think is casued by hiberantion.
A laptop user will be at their pc and and Available, then on leaving their desk, they would typically just close their pc lid, hibernating the pc,  and leave the building.
Their status stays as Available, when of course thay are not. I understand that CUP has not received a specific state change event to update their status, but does any one know if their is a timeout/keepalive that would eventually indicate the user is offline?
I've not had chance test this in detail yet, I've just noticed it a few times when users near me are no longer at their desk, but still show as available.
Has anyone out there come across this? Or do I need to be telling our users they should sign out of Jabber before hibernating their pc's?
    Regards
    Kelvin

    Hi  All,
We have also been suffering from this issue ( I supect) - Running 9.1.2 client but it is also in 9.1.1.  Same CUPS 8.6 version etc.
Closing my PC lid  - PC Asleep
I can been seen as Away from another PC.
Opening my PC lid - I am still seen Away - both on my own jabber and a watcher client. I haven’t logged out and my status does not change even when I am back on the keyboard etc.
I can change it manually and then its appears correct both on my PC and the other PC.
    Or
If I log out of jabber and back in – the correct status is shown both locally and remotely.
This appears confusing to the end user who thinks presence isn't working correctly. we have a number of jabebr users that move between locations for meetings and hence often just close thier PC lid and move locations. FYI - this also happens within the same site.
can you advise if there is a TAC case and if so if we can get an update ?
    thanks
    Russ

  • Calling 'Status' screen of transaction IW32 from report

    Hi,
I want to display 'status overview' screen from transaction 'iw32' .
I know how to call transaction 'iw32', but I don't know how can
I directly go on status screen? I have order no with me.
    Can anyone help me?

    Hi,
You can get the user status data directly from the following tables:
Pass on the order number to JEST table to fetch the STAT (status) for which INACT field is a blank (means status those are active in the order). You will find the status in the form of E001 or I001 depending upon the user status or system status respectively.
Now goto TJ30T table where you need to pass the status profile (STSMA) which can recovered from the order number and fetch the status text by comparaing ESTAT with the status received from JEST table. Field TXT04 in TJ30T gives the status text.
Hope you will find this helpfull.

  • How do i test a record containing status E0008 and not containing status I0002

    hello all,
how do i test a record containing status E0008 and not containing status I0002  for a given WBS Element....
the data(like pspnr, posid and objnr from table PRPS are avialable in internal table it_prps)....

    Hi,
You can check the received table from the function module as per your condition.
    loop at it_prps.
call function STATUS_READ and pass objnr
"suppose tables parameter data is in table itab
Read table itab with key STAT = 'E0008'. "check for E0008
           if sy-subrc = 0.
read table itab with key stat = 'I0002'. "if E0008 exists then check for I0002
                   if sy-subrc = 0.
"both status E0008 & I0002 exists so delete this record from it_prps
                        delete it_prps.
                   else.
                       "only status E0008 exists.
                   endif.
         endif.

  • Voip settings disturbing gsm call.

    Hello !
I've installed voip settings application on my n85 and set up a sip profile and it's working pretty good.
I activate this profile whenever i need it via the contacts application.
But everytime i'm having a phone call via the gsm network, the phone connects to the internet (arrows below 3G) even if my sip profile is not activated.
It stops doing this if i delete the sip profile.
So what data are being exchanged when i'm having a simple gsm call ?
And is it possible to stop this (other than using fring...)
    Thanks a lot ;-)
