Jabber contacts with custom information field

Hello,
We have recently deployed our jabber client 9.2.0 and so far everything is ok.
A a presentation with Cisco, we saw one of the speaker from Cisco with a jabber client that had custom field displayed for each contact information (location + title etc).
We asked our integrator, but to date, they have not been able to find a way to accomplish that. Would anyone know how we can customize this pop up windows to dispaly additional field ? The LDAP query is working fine, I just need to be able to amend the information displayed.
We are using standard AD for directory, but I can imagine if you have an LDAP, one may have some different field to map as well.

Hi Colin,
Actually, I think there is a misunderstanding. The problem is when you click on view profile for a contact. You do have a list of preconfigured information such as firstname, lastename, IM account etc. What I would like to do is to add / remove some extra field from our Active directory.
I have seen it done, but not sure how this was accomplished (specific dev or some unknown custom in the jabber client)

Extending Standard account Fact Sheet with Custom BO fields

I have created one custom BO with 2 free text fields. The fields are embedded in the standard account screen in a new tab.
The custom fields have to be available in the account summary fact sheet as well.
BO Definition:

Is it possible to extend the standard fact sheet with these custom BO fields ?

If you need a field to store string of big length, you can use LANGUAGEINDEPENDENT_Text. Have you tried that already? This data type doesn't have any length restriction.

Issue with custom search fields in agent inbox

Hi All,
I am working on CRM agent inbox 7.0. The issue I am facing is like this:
I have added custom search fields in inbox. When give a combination of standard search field and custom search field, the result is only based on standard field. The value of custom field is not considered.
Is this a standard behaviour? Are standard fields given higher priority that custom fields?
Any pointers on this would be highly helpful.

Did you add custom field using AET? If yes then while adding custom field using AET did you make it search and result relevant?
There is nothing like priority in standard SAP fields and custom fields.

Stock report on key date with customer information

Hi Experts,
Is there an available sap standard report that will show available stock in subcontractors or customers at specific date(posting date)?
transaction MC.9 only show consignment stock without customer information we would like to know which customer inventoried this quantity

Thank you very much for your responses. I tried to check transaction MB51 but the customer is not displayed in the report. I found another report S_P00_07000140 that seems to fit the requirements. customer and posting date were also displayed in the generated report. However the SAP menu of this report is:

Will there be no implications if this is used instead of MC.9 or MB51? what are the differences of the 3 transactions?

Different alerts for email and sms messages for a contact with custom ring tone

Hello,
I have a Curve 8530 with OS 5.0.0.395.
I have my default sound profile set up to play one type of alert sound when I receive and email message and another when I receive an SMS message (so I know the difference without looking at my phone). That works fine except for contacts that I also have a custom ring tone set up for. It seems that under the Custom Ring Tones/Alerts section of the contact there is only one entry for Messages and it applies to both email and SMS. If I have the contact's message alerts set to the alert I have for email, then their SMS messages play the same alert and I might think it's an email. Or if I have the messages alerts set to the SMS alert sound then their emails sound like SMS messages. Is there a way to have a custom ring tone set up for a contact but still allow their emails and SMS messgaes to follow the current sound profile's settings?

Need Help with Custom Form Field Backgrounds

I'm tryng to add a custom background image to a file upload
field in a form and it is not displaying correctly in Firefox. Is
there a way to do this? The background shows up fine in other
fields just not in the field that I apply ( type="file" ) to.

OIM11 R2 - Problem with custom LOV field

I created UDF LOV field pointing at lookup. I'm able to set value for this field by API. Now I want to show this field at user details form. Following http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/admin.1112/e27149/customattr.htm#BABGDEIC I see my field in 'UserVO1'(Data Component - Manage Users) object, but when I select it and choose 'ADF Output Formatted w/Label' (or 'ADF Output Text') only lkv_encoded (key of lookup) is shown, not a lkv_decoded (value of lookup).
Am I doing something wrong or it's not supported in current release?
Did somebody successfully add UDF LOV to user details form?

We can see the correct values (lkv_decoded) in the Create and Modify Page, but not in the Manage Users.

Report similar to Se16 with customized input fields

Hi
I have to create a report which is similar to SE16 for j_1abcd some table and the user should see customized input selection screen and He would enter data and it should display all the data satisfying the selection Screen
It should then display a List where he can select one or more lines and there should be some button to edit or delete data.
Which is the best method to do this?
SHould i use table control or ALV or normal report for this?
Pls suggest the best way to do this in the least time.

Why don't you just creat a Maintenance Table on SE11??? You could maintain the table on <b>SM30</b>...Otherwise...You use do an OO ALV....

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to see the calendar view begin and end time for the time interval.
We can use the SharePoint Manager to view the internal name for the begin and end time for the time interval.
Open SharePoint Manager 2013->click your site->click
Lists->select your list name->click Views->select your calendar view name->click the
Schema Xml to check the internal name for the time interval begin and end.

Problems to print contacts with specific fields under Maverick.

I am unable to print contacts with specific, selected fields like `firm´ or `position´under Mavericks. The selected fields will not show up in the printing preview and not be printed at all. Any ideas?

Thanks, John! It seems you guessed correct, partly at least. I turned some of the problamatic fields off and on again an these are showing up now and I can print them. Great!
However, I can see the field "firma" (German = company in English) in the previewed sample card but not in the pull down menu "Add Field". That means, I am unable to turn it off/on. The intersting thing: The field is visible and selectable even in the printer dialog were you can select the fields you would like to print but it remains unprintable.

How to rename Custom Metadata Field?

I have some pics with custom metadata field "gadget brand", i with to rename the field name to "brand", how can i do that? I tried to rename in the custom metadata manager, but it doesn't apply the change.

Don't believe you it will allow you to rename it.
You're going to have to create a new field with the name you want and copy the data over. Unfortunately Aperture doesn't have any built in means of copying metadata from one field to another. Applescript however could do it fairly easily.

Problems with customer text objects in ZDEBMAS definition

   We have a Z* version ( ZDEBMAS ) of std customer chg pointer msg type DEBMAS - this ZDEBMAS is a shortened version of DEBMAS
We notice that whenever customer related texts are changed in customer master, change pointer objects with CD class - CUSTTEXT, TABLE-STXH get generated for the DEBMAS msg type. No such change pointer data gets generated for my ZDEBMAS.
I do not see any CD class with 'CUSSTEXT' entry in the definition of DEBMAS message type -bd52.
I basically want to replicate the customer text data change pointer generation functionality for my 'ZDEBMAS' msg type too ? Any pointers so to what I am missing ?
We are at a very critical stage of implementing the Z* solution - any pointers will be rewarded right away ....

         Thanks for the quick response. Yes the change pointers are activated globally ( bd61 ) and the change pointer is activated for ZDEBMAS ( bd50 ). The problem here is that - change pointer data gets generated in ZDEBMAS for other customer related fields - the problem is with customer text fields - the change pointer data does not get generated for customer text fields in ZDEBMAS - whereas it gets generated for DEBMAS - I am wondering why and how ?? ( since DEBMAS does not have an explicity CUSTTEXT - object class in its definition ) . Also, when I try to add this object class as a part of ZDEBMAS , I get an error message that this object class does not exist

Export Customized Information Attributes from EP6 to EP7

Is it possible to migrate User Admin customized information fields from EP6 SP17 to 7 EhP1 SP7? The standard portal user export functionality only collects the standard fields and ignores the custom attributes.

[EWS] [EWS-XML] Creating a contact with JobTitle

I tried to create a contact with a JobTitle field set to something. I am running into an interesting "behaviour". When I send this request, I actually get a contact created on the server with the firstname and JobTitle fields set correctly. Can
anyone explain if I am doing something wrong? How can I create a contact (using pure EWS xml requests) with all the fields that are returned by a GetItem call?
