Jabber for Windows users cannot login when "User Must Change at Next Login" is selected in the CUCM credential Policy

We use Jabber for Windows 9.7.4!
I just want to know if there are other users have the same problem and which workaround they applied.
I’m currently testing a User with different Policy credentials (Credentials expire after 1 day).
I think this will also lead to a “username or password wrong”-popup but tomorrow I will see it myself ;)
The planed workaround for us will be to set the “User Must Change at Next Login ” option and the users first have to login at UCM-Userpage to change their initial password.
BTW: Maybe somebody from Cisco know when this get fixed?

J4W does rely very heavily on DNS, you should at least all required entries to hosts and lmhosts.
How are your servers defined under system -> server??
Are you able to log into UCMuser page??
Have you properly configured all user/device/line association, and created the necessary service profiles???

SessionBroker login fails with Oracle XA

I am trying to use oracle XA with sessionbroker.
I register the session with the session broker and when i try to login it gives
"No suitable driver" error.
Without using session broker, when I get the session, it is working fine.

Hi. The issue is that an XA-aware connection can be used at a much finer granularity
than a non-XA connection. XA allows a connection to associate itself for one tx,
make one call, disassociate itself from the tx, and then do a call for another tx.
Therfore the XA connections in the pool may be involved in 1 or more tx's. If your
app is trying to do local tx's as well with these connections, some drivers/DBMSes
get confused.
You can either create a separate pool for non-XA use, or set the keep-connection-till
tx-complete setting for the XA pool. This latter setting will make sure that connections
that are idle in the pool are not associated with any ongoing XA tx.

8229 isn´t present on any of the both Mailboxservers.
The affected Database is active on Location2-Exc1-Mb1 Server and in an overall healthy state. I found during my research, that below Location2-Exc1-Mb1 Server, there are not removed shadow copies present!
This confuses me, since all Backups are normally taken from the passive copy of a Database.
So my questions to the board are:
* Does anyone is facing similar issues?
* Can someone explain why snapshots are present on the Mailboxserver hosting the Active Database, whilst the errors are logged on the passive one?
-          * Does someone know the conditions, why shadows copies remain and
aren´t removed in a proper manner?
What can cause the circumstance, that only 1 DB is facing such issues?
Any suggestion is welcome!

I´ve encreases VSS / Exchange Backup Log levels to expert, before starting
those things i´ve all tried now:
- Backup from passive DB (forced within Symantec Backup Exec)
- Backup from active DB (forced within Symantec Backup Exec)
- Backup from passive DB without GRT enabled (forced within Symantec Backup Exec)
- Backup from active DB without GRT enabled(forced within Symantec Backup Exec)
All those attempts failed.
But brought some more details - the backup against the active DB states, that there is still a backup in progress and therefore this backup is cancelled by VSS.
The Solution was, that i´ve needed to restart the Exchange Replication Service on the Mailbox Server hosting the passive DB.
Backups are working again on all DBs!

also the two servers encountered the issue were mailbox servers and part of same DAG , it worth mention the alert were resolved
by Exchange 2010 Correlation Engine service

2008 r2 Windows update Failed with 8000FFFF

One of our clients has not run windows update in sometime. It was setup for automatic updates so they had never checked their server manually for updates.
We have tried to reset the components using several methods from a whole day of gooling this fix. During the night last night we run scandisk with repair which was mentioned on several other threads.
after resetting the windows update components
When we click install now. it immediately fails with error 8000FFFF

I then googled 174EAAC7-5A3D-448F-BE6F-D6FE450E1DCF and found an article advising me to try and install system update readiness tool which too failed with the 8000FFFF
I have checked for viruses/malware and that seems ok. MS Security essentials is able to download and install updates just fine.
The machine is running IE9. I tried downloading both IE10 & IE11 which say components are required before installing the selected IE and takes me to a web page.
I downloaded all the x64 updates, when i execute they all fail with the 8000FFFF error.
we also tried http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058/en-us which did not help it failed at the end with:

The requested URL does not exist on the server.
Is there any problem with the other computers in the same network? If so, I guess there could be some problem with your network. Confirm this with your proxy server or ISP.
If not please reset windows update component and try again.

I finally resolved the problem. I was trying to install CC 2014 on a 32 Bit system not being aware that CC 2014 is 64 bit only!

Jolauterbach the error indicates that your User account is not able to properly write to the temporary directory. Please make sure you have sufficient disk space and proper rights to modify the temporary directory.

Download and run this driver. You will probably get an unsupported operating system error.

Close out of any error windows.
Go to the device manager and click on the video controller needing drivers.
Click on the driver tab. Click on update driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Reboot and your graphics should be working normally.
You will not have Windows aero because the Intel GMA 900 graphics adapter is not 100% Vista or W7 capable but at least you will be able to change the screen resolution and have graphics acceleration enabled.

From PRINT section, if I click either "Page Setup" or "Printer" I get the Epson printer dialog box, drill down, change settings- so far so good. When I'm finished with the settings and close the dialog box (hit OK) the print job starts immediately; I never get a chance to hit the Lightroom "Print" button. Question: does this bypass any Lightroom processing or control of the print job?

Even if I just click the Printer button to verify my settings I should then return to Lightroom, and then click Print to start the job. This does not happen, the job starts as soon as I close the properties dialog box. Again, is any Lightroom processing or control being bypassed because of this?

Password policy "be changed at next login" stopped working

Due to a system failure of a 10.8.5 Open Directory master, I migrated it to a new 10.10.1. Migration seemed flawless, but now I'm experiencing a weird failure of the password policy "be changed at next login". It's simply ignored.
10.8.5 description:
- virtual machine with VMWare ESxi 5.5u1, 8 GB RAM, 60 GB hard drive plus a second one 150 GB
- Server version 2.2.2, Workgroup Manager version 10.8 (409)
- Open Directory with a self generated certificate for SSO
- all the users have mobile account with local home template
10.10.1 description:
- virtual machine with VMWare ESxi 5.5u1, 8 GB RAM, 80 GB hard drive plus a second one 120 GB
- Server version 4.0.3 (14S350), Workgroup Manager 10.9 (421)
Migration procedure: installed ex-novo 10.10.1, at the end of installation migrated data through migration assistant from old server hard drive attached at the new VM, switched off VM, detached old server hardware, rebooted, downloaded and installed new Server version.
All the computers bound to the Open Directory master allowed login so I thought the migration went properly, untile I discovered that the policy to change the password at next login doesn't work anymore.
Anyone having hints/suggestions about this behaviour?

Thank you for the suggestion. I cleared the policy database with the command you sent, but in workgroup manager I still find "be changed at next login" checked. If I check the password policy of my test user 98765 this is what I find:

You have not mentioned the version you are using (11i or R12).. Are you using iProcurement... ? Are you using positional or Employee-Supervisor hierarchy..?

Ans: You can achieve this through below workarounds
- Through *"Mass Update of Requisitions" functionality* (Conc. request) you can update the Approver name from User "X" to "Y" for existing PRs.
- Replacing the Supervisor name of the requestor/requisitioner in the HR record (assignment) from User "X" to "Y"..
