Jabra 2000 pairing with i book 4 ?

anyone ever succeeded in pairing Jabra 2000 wireless earphone mike with ibook? Never worked with my Nokia despite adapter.

Using a headset needs several steps even needed if you have the latest computer or Mac OS X release. Please make sure to follow them in order.
Download the Apple Bluetooth Firmware Updater
Install it
Remove as much USB devices from your computer as possible
Launch it from Applications > Utilities > Bluetooth Updater
Apply it to your adapter (takes very long and disconnects your Bluetooth mouse).
Start the Apple Bluetooth Assistant and select Headset. Do not use anything else!
Make your headset Bluetooth visible. Look up the manual of your headset how to do that.
Now select the headset in System Preferences > Sound.
In most cases step 3 is missed. You have to start the already installed updater yourself (do not ask me why). Step 4 fails if you do not have an internal Apple Bluetooth module and your Bluetooth USB adapter is not supported by Apple. In this case, you have to go for a D-Link DBT-120 USB adapter.

works great with iSync, doesn't work at all with the address book. no sms, no dial. any solutions? thanks!
    10.4.6

I'm also having this issue. While the phone appears to "pair" with Address Book and the options for SMS and dial are available, they perform no function at all as far as I can tell.
iSync works fine with the phone now however (thanks to 10.4.9). If anyone has any further information, it would be very much appreciated.

  • D900 sms / call doesn't work with address book

    Unlike similar posts,
the 'SMS' and 'Dial with' options ARE avaliable and the phone pairs just fine.
However, when I type a message and send, nothing happens phone side. Same with dial a call.
The bluetooth emblem on the Adress book remains glowing blue. The phone doesn't seem to stay connected though(?).
at least I can sync now though (10.4.9)
    Thanks for any insight!!!

  • My neighbour's Mac Book Pro shows up as discoverable when Bluetooth is turned on in my iPad Air.  How can I block her device?  How can I prevent her pairing with my iPad Air. I need Bluetooth on to play music over my system.

My neighbour's Mac Book Pro shows up as discoverable in my Bluetooth list on my iPad Air.  How can I block her Bluetooth device? How can I prevent her pairing with my device?  I need Bluetooth to stream music on my Bose system.  Thanks!

If your device is discoverable, the other BT device would try (I am not sure if that would be successful). If it was, it would appear in your system preferences>Bluetooth.
Take a look at this re: security:

This is from another Apple article:
    Use Bluetooth
You can wirelessly transfer files between computers—even Mac to PC—using the Bluetooth File Exchange utility. You can even browse selected devices and retrieve files remotely. For extra security, you can stipulate that only trusted devices be allowed to connect to your Mac, and 128-bit over-the-air encryption is also available

P.S. Since I have not had the issue, I have not researched this before. Thank you for making me look into BT security

You don't. It only sync using iTunes.
    It doesn't "pair".
    and my ue speaker
    What is "ue speaker"?
    Ultimate Ears wirless bluetooth speaker?
    Set speaker to Pairing mode.
On the iPhone, Settings > BlueTooth.
    Select the speaker.

  • Bluetooth help pairing with Jabra BT2040

On my 8300 the bluetooth is enabled but when I ask it to pair with a new device ( Jabra BT2040 headset) it doesn't find it.
Is it because on the bluetooth options "discoverable" is set to "no" and there is a red lock symbol next to it meaning I can't change it to "yes".
    Any ideas

    1) I do not know if the Blackberry device has to be "discoverable" in order to work with your Jabra.
    2) you can ask your IT admin why they blocked the "Bluetooth discoverability". They did that in the IT policy. Maybe it's just an error from them.

  • Jabra BT8040 won't pair with 3GS

My Jabra BT8040, which worked fine with my iPhone original, will not pair with the 3GS. Just sits there in the Bluetooth screen with nothing happening. Any thoughts? I tried turning both off and on etc.

I had a similar problem with my Jabra SP700 and solved the problem by resetting the pairing list on the Jabra. Here's the instructions from the user manual:
"...The speakerphone registers a list of up to 7 mobile phones . To
remove the list, press and hold the answer/end button, volume
up button and fm button at the same time . a beep indicates
the list was removed from the speakerphone memory . The
next time you power on, the speakerphone will go into pairing
mode as the first time you powered your new SP700 on."
So you may need to reset the pairing list on your headset.

  • Cannot pair Nokia E62 with Address Book

I could not pair my Nokia E62 with Address Book after updating to 10.4.9 and decided, along with other reasons, to erase and install my OS. After all the updates were finished, I ended up with the same result. iSync recognizes my phone and works properly, however, Address Book will not pair no matter what I do. If you have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!
    Thank you,
    Rybo

It appears that Mac OS X Tiger version 10.4.9 does not currently support receiving SMS messages through AddressBook, at least with the Nokia E62.

  • Why won't my remote pair with my Mac Book Pro.

    Battery works
Paired with Apple TV and then my iMac, both work fine.  Latest versions of OS installed everywhere.
Have upaired with other devices and when I try to pair with MacBook, it won't.
MacBook Pro has Mountain Lion and is 6 months old.  Not retina.
    What's going on?

Did you disable this option?  Look in System Preferences/Security and Privacy/Advanced.  Make sure there's no checkmark in the box that says to disable the remote control receiver.

  • Why is the sound from my bose mobile speakers "choppy" when paired with my Mac Book Pro but not my other apple products?

I have bose mobile speakers that use bluetooth to be paired with devices. I have successfully paired it with my ipad and iphone and the sound is phenominal. However when paired with my MacBook PRo the sound is very "choppy" and not clear. Would anyone know why this is?

Having sent my speaker to Bose to have it checked over, they returned it to me unable to recreate the problem saying it was fault free. They included the following instructions to adjust bluetooth settings to 40.
Open Terminal and use the command:
defaults write com.apple.BluetoothAudioAgent "Apple Bitpool Min (editable)" 40
Restart, turn off both devices then re-pair.
This has vastly improved the quality of sound on the speaker, although not ALWAYS perfect as have found that if I am working on the keyboard or browsing the internet at the same time as listening to music via Bose speaker there is a little jumpiness.
Further research in various forums has shown there are other settings to experiement with:
    30 – Low audio quality
    40 – Medium audio quality
    48 – High audio quality
    58 – Excellent audio quality
    Hope this helps.

  • Will an Apple wireless keyboard pair with an iPad2?

Is an Apple wireless keyboard designed to pair with an iPad 2?  The instruction book refers to a Mac computer but never to an iPad.  I keep getting the "Pairing Unsuccessful" message after I type in the 4 digit code that the iPad tells me to enter on the keyboard.  The keyboard gives me the flashing light saying it's ready to pair, but doesn't make the hook-up. The keyboard is just a foot from the iPad.  Any suggestions?

    This might help.
    Note the following:
The original Apple Wireless Keyboard, introduced in 2003, is not compatible:
Apple Wireless Keyboard (2003): Features a white case and uses four AA batteries.
In addition, many third-party Bluetooth keyboards that use the Apple keyboard layout are also compatible. Check with the keyboard manufacturer for additional information.

  • Bluetooth will not pair with Moto Droid4

My Droid4 has will not pair with either my "Verzion" Jabra VBT-4050 nor my Jawbone Icon.  Both these earpieces paired with this phone before, but will not now.
    Makes no sense to me.

        westa510b,
That can certainly be confusing since it previously paired just fine with your device. We will be happy to take a closer look at this matter with you. Have you attempted to reboot the device? Tried deleting the bluetooth connection from the device, then re-establishing connection? Any changes recently to the devices software or additions of an application when you first noticed this issue began?

  • Is anyone having a problem pairing with a BMW?

Does anyone have any advice for pairing with a 2011 BMW? Ever since I updated my 4S to IOS6.0 I can't seem to pair with my car.  At first it couldn't load phone book data. Now it won't pair at all.  I had BMW look at the problem but their diagnostics showed nothing abnormal.
    Thanks

Sorry about my english. I'm from Germany and I have the same problem. The problem is, that iOS6.0 is the newest technology and the software of your BMW isn't. Your BMW dealer must update the software if possible. And maybe everthing will work again. On time my dealer try it on my BMW 330Xd 2010. Hope, that everything wil work!
