Jabra bt3030 w/iphone 3G s

I'm using this. It paired easily and the sound is excellent with my etymotic earphones but I can't get the pause or fast forward and back to work. The volume control works.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there another step I needed to take to get those controls to work?

LOL, Well I ain't makin' it up. For some reason play/pause works when I'm listening to podcasts or music stored on my ipod (NOT for programs though like wunder radio), not sure why this is so, but it is indeed so.
keep in mind i have the 3G version one with the new firmware uploaded onto it. maybe that's the difference?
who knows, i still cant get the **** forward and rewind buttons to work, which really defeats the purpose of blootooth. hopefully iphone will fix this...

Pairing iPhone 4 with Jabra BT3030

Does anyone else use a Jabra BT3030 that has been paired successfully to the iPhone 4? I was always able to do it with my previous Verizon phone (Samsung Omnia) but when I try to pair it to the new iPhone 4, I can't get to the screen where the passkey (0000) is entered. The phone recognizes the device and says it is not paired, but then it goes straight to connected status without letting me open the passkey screen. Once it's connected, the only option is "Forget this Device", (which I would rather not since I like it). Even though it shows connected, the phone and Jabra don't communicate. I've followed the steps shown on the Jabra website and the iPhone manual, but to no avail.

Thank you for providing the bluetooth accessory that you are trying to pair to your device. Below are the instructions on how to pair specifically to your iPhone. The security code can either be 0000 or 1234.
Step 1 - Enable Bluetooth functionality on the iPhone 4
From the Home screen, select Settings.
Select General
Select Bluetooth
Set Bluetooth to On
Step 2 - Put your fully charged Bluetooth headset into pairing mode.
Press and hold the answer/end button to turn on the headset
Your headset will automatically go into pairing mode when you turn on for the first time
Your Bluetooth accessory is now in pairing mode and ready to be paired with your handset
Manual Paring
Press and hold the answer/end button for 5 seconds until the keypad turns solid blue
Your Bluetooth accessory is now in pairing mode and ready to be paired with your handset
Step 3 - Pair the iPhone 4 with a Bluetooth Accessory
With Bluetooth power on, from the Home screen, select Settings.
Select General
Select Bluetooth
Place accessory in pairing mode. See accessory pairing instructions
Choose the accessory device on iPhone, and enter its passkey or PIN number, normally 0000 or 1234

Can't pair Jabra SP5050 with iPhone 5. Any suggestions?

Finally upgraded from my old iPhone 3GS to iPhone 5 but now it won't pair with my Jabra SP5050. I've followed the Jabra instructions but my phone just won't find it. Are they incompatible?

Interesting. I tried your suggestion - got the 3GS to forget the Jabra SP5050 - but still no luck pairing with the iPhone 5. I successfully paired the Jabra again with the 3GS, so that combo definitely works. I googled the troubleshooting/faq full user manual for the Jabra and found that you can make it forget any pairings by pressing and holding the volume up and volume down together with the answer/end button for 7 seconds. I did that and then tried pairing the Jabra with the iPhone 5 and success!

Jabra OTE3 with Iphone

Im having problems getting my Jabra OTE3 bluetooth to connect with my iphone 3GS.
I got my Jabra about a year ago when i had Verizon and it connected right away with my old Verizon phone.. its been awhile since i connected it with a device so maybe im doing it wrong.. but it also wont connect with my ps3 either. Any ideas?

I had the Mot H17 great headset but apple needs to get their finger out of their *** and fix the blue tooth stack on this phone

Jabra Bluetooth Headset & iPhone

I have a Jabra Bluetooth headset that worked fine with my Sprint PCS Katana phone. I just got an iPhone yesterday. I go through the proper settings path and turn on bluetooth on the iPhone, it activates and reads "discoverable," but after several minutes still never found the headset. What can I do?
I also realize that I may have a difficult time locating any PIN for the headset (I bought it a year ago). Any solution for that?

As far as the pairing goes (from memory):
Turn headset off.
Press and hold power switch for a long time until the power light goes solid.
Use iPhone to pair.
(I believe PIN is 0000 or 9999)

I would test it with another device such as another brand of phone or computer which support bluetooth or...
to see if the headset was working or broken

maybe you got your accecability setting on and its blocking certain things and voiceover is on so she speaks when you tap anything.. go to settings and turn off all accecability.

Iphone 3G support for A2DP and AVRCP

Hi guys, I recently got a Jabra bt3030 bluetooth stereo dongle to listen to my music wirelessly from my Iphone 3G. Only wish it was as simple as I hoped it would be. After pairing the two via bluetooth and playing a song, I realised that the next/previous buttons on my bluetooth unit do not work. Nor does the volume control on the iphone itself! As a result, the playback signal is at full blast-causing buzzing in my earphones continously throughout the song. Are there any apps out there that fix this 'volume bar' issue? If not, I do hope that Apple will fix this problem with their next update-3.2. I'm quite disappointed as I have tried playing music on other bluetooth devices, and the music is flawless! If they do fix this, iphone will be, in my opinion, perfect...

I tried pairing the jabra unit on a Blackberry Bold and there was no distortion or buzzing. I also tried using my Sennheiser headphones with the Jabra unit instead of the stock headphones provided but that didnt change anything. Nope, no boosting of the volume when I imported the music into itunes. The Jabra BT3030's track record is excellent.
I have tested the Iphone and bluetooth unit everywhere. Brought it for several walks in parks and even placed the unit on top of the iphone with the phone face down (hoping to get it the closest i can to the Bluetooth radio chip and there was still the buzzing present.
I guess I have to wait for either an app that solves this issue or a permanent fix from Apple. I'm hoping to my wits end for the latter.

I just update OS3 and think that it can solve my problem with Jabra BT3030 stereo bluetooth headset but it's not at all. I can listen to music with stereo output but I can't use any button on BT3030 except volume adjustment.
Anyone face the same problem or any ideas?

this is true with most bluetooth headsets, where the forward/bacward skip buttons do not work. I also have the JabraBT3030 and it does not work, it does work however if I use the Sony dongle (TMR-BT8IP) so it is not the Jabra. Although the Play/Pause button should work, it works for me at least.
Every one here hopes Apple will fix this issue soon. Enjoy wireless music and volume for now

There are dozens of threads and posts regarding this topic in this forum alone, and probably a lot more in other forums on the Web: it's a known software issue affecting iDevices running iOS 8.0.x, and it won't probably be fixed by Apple until they release iOS 8.1, in about two weeks, maybe less.
I too would prefer to use my (old but reliable) Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headset to listen to my music, but for now, I'm back to the regular cable one that came with my iPhone 6. It's not half-bad, but no match, sadly.

Bluetooth Audio dropping out when Phone goes into screen lock

I have a 3G running 3.0 and a Sony Bluetooth audio capable car stereo. The audio streams perfectly via bluetooth until the phone goes into screen lock or "sleep ", at which time the audio starts drooping out. As soon as you slide to unlock the screen everything works fine again.
Anyone else with this issue ?

Yup, that's exactly what I've had.
I paired a Jabra BT3030 BlueTooth stereo headset module to my 3G and it worked perfectly until the screen went off and then the audio could only be heard intermittently. When the screen came back on, audio was perfect again. This was completely repeatable.
I posted about this the other day, but just prior to that tried again to confirm and I could NOT get it to occur. No matter how many times I put the iPhone to sleep and woke it up, the audio played consistently with NO dropout which is somewhat frustrating and a bit bizarre.
Looks like there is an issue with A2DP if several of us are experiencing the same problem so bug report/feedback to Apple is required I think.
Has anyone else had the problem go away next time you try?

Could iPhone play music, and sharing the music to two bluetooth headset?
Sometime I would like sharing the music I's listening to my partner.

what i need to do is always
1) shutdown WIFI
2) Turn Bluetooth on
3) Connect to Jabra BT3030
4) click on play
for now the sound quality is pretty good not perfect but respectfull
with WIFI on the sound will crackel
the crackel is the same as what the music is playing what conserns me
it's like the Iphone want's to send the same thing twice on the same time.
sounds like a buffer problem.
the main consern voor bluetooth is that you the user must look at the default
volume of your mp3 is this to high your sound will have distorsion.
trough your jackplug you can pull the volume down
but with bluetooth you can't that's to bad.
so for now i will recommend
jackplug if you want sound quality
and
Bleutooth if you want user conform
ps. what also helps is that your bleutooth is cappable of a high bitrate
and noise reduction and something called ERD

In-ear with mic

Hello,
I'm looking for a headset and in-ear model with mic, but all I can find i "Only for IPhone" and I don't want a bluetooth model as I allready have a Jabra BT3030 and the sound isn't good at all, and it's strange as the headphones are Ok but not over this bluetooth.
I usualy buy earphones for about 100$/75€, but I don't realy know how much to speed for good sound.
Some of the one I have looked up is these:
1. Creative Stereo Headset EP630i for iPhone
2. Klipsch Image S4i Headset
3. Sony DR-EX300IP Headset
...and all these are made for Apple, IPhone/IPod. Isn't there a standard how to comunicate sound in a cable that all phones could use?
My question is, does someone know if IPhones compability means all phones like Nokia or ONLY IPhones and the most important question here, have someone used one of these on your Nokia and sucessfully used earphones and mic an the buttons to answer/etc.

My problem is the same as Anita's: I find the earbuds uncomfortable, same for the predecessor iPod sets. I was happy with the Earjams for my iPod listening.
Yes, these 'buds are slightly too small for the Earjams BUT I decided to see if I could make them fit. I was successful: I cut a small piece/strip of dense foam from a CD spindle spacer to create a tight fit on one side between the inside of the Earjam and the 'bud. The foam is light gray and the same shade as the detailing on the earbud--practically invisible. Now I can use the headset in comfort.
So, if you already have a set of Earjams, and a spare foam spacer, you could give it a try.
