Jabra BT620s not pairing

I've had a Jabra 620s bluetooth headset for a few years now and had no problems with my old iPhone 3. Since getting the 4s it will not connect. Initially it appears to pair but when trying to playt back music it shows "Not connected". I've re-paired the two several times but am still unable to get playback.
Not sure if this is a 4s issue or IOS 5.0.1 issue.
Anybody able to help??

I have tried pairing the BT620s to my iPhone 4S lots of times. The phone consistently drops the pairing. When it does VERY ocassionally maintain some sort of pairing, I can control Siri and the previous track/rewind feature but the music does not come out from the headphones as the phone dosen't see them but will come out from any other bluetooth device I have. Weird.
In the 30 or so times I have just tried pairing them, it has worked twice but when I turn the headphones off then back on again, the pairing refuses to connect and no sound comes from the Jabra speakers.
I'll take the phone and headphones to an Apple store and see if they can do any better although I'd venture to suggest they will say it's the headphones that are at fault. Hopefully they will try pairing them with another iPhone 4S to test it. At the moment though - still no joy - but works everytime with iPhone 3G

Iphone4 and Jabra will not pair

I bought new Iphone 4 and picked a Jabra Wave headset. It recognizes the Jabra, comes up with Not paired. I touch that message
on the bluetooth screen and i then says connected. I push answer button to make a call for 1 second on head set and it comes back and voice says "Connected" but speak recognition does not come on. I hold the button until I hear a beep and then the voice recognition comes on and works like crap if at all. Next time I hold the button until I hear the beep it then goes into some mode with flashing blue light. The chance of getting voice recognition is about 50/50
I have followed all the directions without success. I tried the tech repair at the verizon store and they were clueless. They gave me a new one and it is the same problem
The only thing I can figure is the Jabra Wave is not compatible with iphone 4 even though they say it is.

The issue may be with the Bluetooth headset. If you have another Bluetooth headset try pairing it with your iPhone and see if that works. Below I have provided the pairing instructions for the iPhone and Jabra Wave.
Step 1 - Enable Bluetooth functionality on the iPhone 4
From the Home screen, select Settings.
Select General
Select Bluetooth
Set Bluetooth to On
Step 3 - Pair the iPhone 4 with a Bluetooth Accessory
With Bluetooth power on, from the Home screen, select Settings
Select General
Select Bluetooth
Choose the device on iPhone, and enter its passkey or PIN number, normally 0000 or 1234

Bluetooth Stereo/ Jabra BT620s

Hi,
I have a Jabra BT620s headset. When I pair it with my iPhone 3G, with OS 3.0 it seems to pair only as a bluetooth headset (ie calls only) and not as a Stereo headphones. When I play songs on the iPod app, there is no bluetooth icon down the bottom of the screen- however the button that pauses the music still works.
I have tried deleting the pairing and re-pairing but the same happens. The Jabra manual shows if only the "left" light is on it is in headset mode, and if "both" are flashing it is paired as a Stereo device. Only the "left" is working.
Any ideas how to tell the iPhone that it is a A2DP device?

I have the same issue, however I am unsuccessful in pairing the BT620s to my iPhone. It sees the headset's MAC address, however it refuses to pair up to them.

Bluetooth will not pair with Moto Droid4

My Droid4 has will not pair with either my "Verzion" Jabra VBT-4050 nor my Jawbone Icon. Both these earpieces paired with this phone before, but will not now.
Makes no sense to me.

That can certainly be confusing since it previously paired just fine with your device. We will be happy to take a closer look at this matter with you. Have you attempted to reboot the device? Tried deleting the bluetooth connection from the device, then re-establishing connection? Any changes recently to the devices software or additions of an application when you first noticed this issue began?

Jabra Bluetooth Headphones pairing problem

I wrote jabra about my problem with my headset sounding like crapola when paired to macs, but sounding grand when paired to iPhone, and got this back from tech support:
Sounds like your unit it's not pairing correctly with the macs (like it's pairing HSP/HFP only). We cannot troubleshoot the PC's and it sounds like there's nothing wrong with the BT3030.
I have no idea what that means or how to fix. Any ideas? thx!

IPhone 4 Bluetooth will not pair with Jawbone Icon, Jawbone 2

Just got my iPhone today and am more or less thrilled to have it. The only problem (other than the antenna issue, which the bumper fixes beautifully) is that Bluetooth will not pair with any of my Bluetooth devices. When I turn on Bluetooth on the phone and turn on the headset, iPhone says it's "searching.." and "now discoverable" but it never discovers anything, let alone pair up. The Bluetooth on my MacBook recognized the iPhone and I was able to pair them, but no luck on the Jawbones. Sounds like a JB problem, but I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem and if there's a fix via the iPhone.

On the icon, turn it off and hold button down while sliding the power switch on. This should put it in pairing mode. Then go into your i4's bluetooth menu and give it another go. Also, Jawbone has recently updated the firmware for the Icon so you need to load it as well. I have the icon and a Jabra cruiser and both work/paired fine. You may want to try rebooting phone and retrying as well.

Nokia 6290 & Jabra bt620s

I have Nokia 6290 as main phone (which I've been so far quite happy with) and now I got Jabra bt620s headset, thinking I could use that as it is designed to be used: as headphones for my PC, and headset for phone.
The headset allows 1 "AV service" (for music) and 2 "headset service"s (for phones).
Now, Nokia seems to disagree on my priorities here. Phone apparently notices that my headset can do "AV service" and takes over it, and does not allow me to specify to use my BT device as headset only. (I couldn't find such setting anyway...)
If I try to connect the other way (connect PC first to "AV service" of headphones), the phone claims it can't connect (since it apparently wants only connect connect to to said AV service since "it's there so I want it, --ck the lesser services!")
So the question is, How do I fix this very serious (to me) malfunction of phone?

that would be strage if 503 and 604 are not compatible with 5310... it might not be listed, but it doesnt mean it is not compatible... something to do with websites not being updated all the time...

IMac (Mountain Lion) does not pair with Apple Remote

Hi,
my iMac (2009, Mountain Lion) does pair with my remote. Otherwise the remote (or remotes, I tried two) are working fine with the iMac, it just wont pair.
I need it to pair as I have an iMac and MPB and each having its own remote (each computer should react only to its remote, not the other computer remote)
I googled this extensively, here is what I did so far:
- obviously, trying the normail "pair remote" procedure as the support page says
- checking that infrared remote pairing is enabled and no other remote is currenly paired
- restarting Mac OS
- removing and reinsterting battery in remote
- making sure I am an Admin
- disabling the remote function in Plex and killing all Plex (and EyeTV and similar) processes via Activity Monitor (thought they might somehow limite the OS control over the remote)
- tried the same with another remote (does not pair as well)
This is very annoying.
Can anyone help out?

Does the remote remember which computer it is paired to? I though only the computer remebers that.
In any case, currently there is not remote paired to any computer (both computers have clean new Mountain Lion installations). And I cannot pair any remote to any of my machines. In between, I tried with the laptop as well, and it is not pairing as well. I also tried an (old, still working) third remote... nothing is happening.
Some apps seem to take control of the remote (e.g. pressing menu start Plex on my systems). Could that be the issue? Is there a Terminal command to give Mac OS back full control over the remote?
Or could it be something else? 'Is there an app for that' a la ForcePair.app?

Yes I tried pairing with my bluetooth car hands-free set - Not discoverable.
I tried to pair with my bluetooth headset - Also not discoverable.
I have no problem with my other apple products my older ipad2 and my current iphone5.
Just this ipad mini retina display could not discover the above bluetooth device.

Hi All, thank you for you suggestions. I have been unable to find any website for the maker, but have looked at several Thai/cambodian sites incl <http://www.buycoms.com/Article/8435/index.asp> which mentions the keyboard being suitable for tablet or windows. No mention of iMac! although the box is branded to indicate Mac compatable.
I'm thinking that maybe it just will not pair with an iMac.
Ill keep looking for the maker website, which might come on later in the future? maybe?

The discs that come with your Mac are "machine specfic" and cannot be used on another Mac.

Brand new Macbook Pro not pairing with Apple Keyboard and mouse!

Hi all, I have a brand new Macbook Pro and an older wireless Apple Keyboard and Mouse (that were being previously used with my imac G5).
Now I want to use these for this macbook. I am finding that they are being recognised but not pairing up?
Do you need to stop the previous pairing with the imac before they will pair with the Macbook?
Or do I need to update specific software? (I would have thought it has all the necessary updates already installed).
I am running Snow leopard.
I have brand new batteries in the keyboard and mouse.
I really appreciate any helpful advice. Sorry if the answer is obvious!

Hi there, i had a problem pairing an Apple wireless keyboard with my MacBook pro but managed to solve it.
The default passkey option in Bluetooth setup assistant is 'automatic' which will (if the MacBook can 'see' the keyboard in the first instance) then say something like 'your device may prompt you to enter the following passcode 1234 5678'
Obviously the keyboard doesn't provide any feedback - I went ahead and typed the number and hit the return key a number of times - the MacBook then displayed a 'pairing failed - you may have entered the incorrect passkey' message.
What i was doing wrong was keying only numbers - when i keyed 1234[SPACE]5678 + RETURN pairing worked.
I had thought the 'gap' in the passcode was to make it easier to read, not that it implied a space in the passcode.

10.6 client will not 'Pair' to 10.5.8 Xserve

I am running Mac OS X Server 10.5.8 on an Xserve (intel).
I have setup a brand new user who is running as a Mac OS X 10.6.4 client (new Mac)
Under the users account settings on the Mac (System Preferences > Accounts), the 'server account' option appears but will not accept the password / will not 'Pair'.
I have tried the following on the Xserve:
Delete user
Change user password
Check user services
I have tried the following on the User's Mac:
server user short name
server user full name
retyped password
upper and lowercase
The user can connect to the Xserve's shares with no problem in the Finder using the given username and password (the same as their Mac user account), however I would also like them to be able to use the Open Directory services on the server (initially Time Machine).
Nothing seems to be working. Is this a problem on the Xserve. Is there a trick to make it work?
I would like to get this working soon as the user is now falling short of their Time Machine backups!

We have this working without any problems (on a LAN with one subnet). Try add a new account on another machine for that user and log on from there. Also try the converse - add an account that you know works on the client machine that will not connect.

i have just purchased a new mac mini and wireless keyboard and trackpad. i am trying to setup my mac mini but the keyboard does not pair. i have tried replacing the batteries. but as i am new to macs i dont have much of a clue. the trackpad connects fine.

I had this same issue when I purchased my Mini. Unfortunately, the initial setup of your wireless keyboard requires a wired keyboard. I don't recall where I found this information, but it may have been in the manual for the Mac wireless keyboard. I purchased a Mac wired keyboard from Fry's Electronics to log in and sync the wireless keyboard and returned the wired keyboard later that day.
