Jabra GN9120 headset and Cisco 7970G

I purchased a GN9120 wireless headset and tried to install it on my Cisco 7970G IP phone. But when I use it, the far end user always hears echoing.
Does anyone have the experience of using GN9120?
What is the proper setting for GN9120 to make it works with my Cisco phone?

Did you ever find a solution for this?

  • Cisco 7926 with Jabra Pro headset

    Hi all!
    We have a Cisco 7926 desk phone connected to a Jabra Pro wireless headset. It's connected with a headset cable from the phone to the base station and set up correctly according to the instructions from Jabra. 
    My problem is that when we use the headset it ends a call when transferring. Using the original tube it works fine and this only happens when using the headset.
    The thing is that we just upgraded our CUCM software to system version 10.5.1.10000-7 and after that it stopped working.
    What i have tried is checked if the phone are headset activated, and it is. I have reconfigured the Jabra Pro headset. 
    Any suggestions are accepted with great thanks :)

    There is a bug with 79XX phones transferring using headsets.  You need to check   CSCun26289

  • Ipod touch bluetooth and jabra jx10 headset

    I have been trying all evening to pair my ipod touch by bluetooth with my jabra jx10 headset. Searches forever but sees nothing.
    Wondering if anyone knows whether these items are not compatible? My blackberry phone sees the jabra immediately.
    Any suggestions will be very welcome.

    Anyone ben able to get it to work with an iPad??? I have only been able to get the audio to work, but can not adjust the volume using the headset controls, and non of the other headset control functions work.

    Technically, the problem isn't that the Jabra JX10 supports headset and hands-free - the problem is that it doesn't support A2DP, which the iPad requires. Bluetooth headsets can support all three of those profiles, and that's fine - as long as the headset supports A2DP along with whatever else it has, it'll work on the iPad.
    Just another note: most mono (monaural) headsets don't support A2DP, though there are a very few. Many, but not all, stereo bluetooth headsets do support A2DP, as it's primarily used for music. Look on the box for A2DP, Advanced Audio Distribution Profile, or Bluetooth Stereo profile - I've seen it called any one of those three.

    Hi , and Thanks for that . Unfortunately , it made no difference . According to iTunes I have successfully restored the iPad 3 but the problems are :
    1) No response from the screen . Slide to Open etc do not work .
    2) Audio Controls at the top of the screen appear randomly and flash and alternate with the clock . The Volume slider moves up and down all on its own while each of the other buttons are highlighted one after the other !
    3) The few photos on board roll along on a permanent Slideshow .
    4) A black bar , the same size as the Slide to Open bar , containing and exclamation mark and the words ' No Sim Card Installed ' has appeared in the middle of the screen . Inserting a Sim card has no effect .
    5) Brightness flickers as if its own Slider Control is being moved up and down .
    6) Basically , its now a brick . I cant gain access without the screen and cant properly shut it down without the ' Off' slider working !
    7) Very disappointing with something < one month old

  • New iphone compatible w Jabra JX10 headset?

    I cannot pair my iphone with my Jabra JX10 headset. I have the Jabra in discoverable mode (solid blue light on). The Iphone recognizes it and the words "Jabra JX10" and "now discoverable" appear, but it never pairs. yet the Jabra pairs successfully with both my old motorola and my husband's LG.
    Any suggestions?

    Take the iPhone to an Apple retail store and have a Mac Genius take a look at it. The Genius will be able to test the headset with another iPhone or test your iPhone with an iPhone Bluetooth Headset.

  • Jabra Bluetooth Headset & iPhone

    I have a Jabra Bluetooth headset that worked fine with my Sprint PCS Katana phone. I just got an iPhone yesterday. I go through the proper settings path and turn on bluetooth on the iPhone, it activates and reads "discoverable," but after several minutes still never found the headset. What can I do?
    I also realize that I may have a difficult time locating any PIN for the headset (I bought it a year ago). Any solution for that?

    As far as the pairing goes (from memory):
    Turn headset off.
    Press and hold power switch for a long time until the power light goes solid.
    Use iPhone to pair.
    (I believe PIN is 0000 or 9999)

  • Plantronics Savi W740 and Cisco CP-7942G

    I am wondering if anyone has experienced this condition. We have a Call Center UCCX Version 8.0.2.11005-20 using Cisco CP-7942G hardware revision 13.0 phone running firmware SCCP42.9-3-1SR3-1S connected to Cisco Unified Communication Manager 8.0.3.20000-2. They have a Plantronics Savi W740 which is a Plantronics WO2 base connected using APC-41 EHS Cable. The also have the usb connected to the computer. Intermittently these will go into a state where the Line button on the phone is flashing and it appears to be going offhook and on-hook repeatedly. In order to break this condition they disconnect the headset. I am convinced it's the headset and not the CAD software through the computer doing this. I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what you did to resolve. I am also trying to figure out if the EHS cable is sending a signal that is getting logged that I can prove if it's sending the signal repeatedly or once.

    Hi, this was posted a while ago I guess but we do experience the same issue, with 7962 phones running on SIP fw, and Savi 710/720 headsets.
    Did you find a solution to this ? I'm very much interested to learn !

    We are experiencing problem in terms of ARP learning and Ping issues between Cisco Nexus and end hosts.

    So you have N7k acting as L3 with servers connected to 4510?.
    Do you see the MAC associated with failing ARP in 4510?. Is it happening with all or few servers?. Just to verify if it is connectivity issue between N7k and 4510, you can configure an SVI on 4510 and assign address from same raneg (server/core range) and perform a ping.
    This will help narrow down if issue is between server to 4510 or 4510 to N7k.

    Since update to Maverics I am experiencing VPN dropouts with native VPN client and Cisco IPSec
    I am connecting via a WIFI router to a remote VPN server
    The conenction is good for a while but eventually it drops out.
    I had Zero issues in mountain lion and only have issues since the update to 10.9
    I had similar issues in teh past with an unrelaibel wifi router but i am using a Verizon Fios router and it has worked impecably until mavericks
    My thoughts are:
    1 -issue with mavericks  ( maybe the app sleep funciton affecting eithe VPN or WIFI daemons)
    2- Issue with  cisco router compaitibility or timing with Cisco IPSEC
    3- Issue with WIFI itself on mavericks - some sort of WIFI software bug
    Any thousuggestions?

    I don't hve any NAT-exemptions in Cisco IOS Router. Transform-set I will change soon, but I've tried with tunnel mode and it didn't work.
    Maybe NAT-exemptions is the issue. Can you advice me which exemptions should be in Cisco IOS Router?

    There is probably a red light on inside your headphone port, indicating that the analog/digital switch in there is stuck in the digital position. Insert a headphone plug and wigle it around, especially in the horizontal plane, as you insert and remove it several times. This will usually unstick the switch and restore normal operation. If it doesn't, the machine will need to be repaired.
    This has been a fairly common problem, but in most cases it is easily cured as described above.

    As long as the profiles are different (ex. HID vs AD2P) you will not have any issues. But say if you try to use 2 keyboards at once, it won't work. Or 2 headsets at once. Your scenario seems fine.
