Jabra Halo stereo bluetooth headset skipping with IPAD...

Hi, does anybody here have ever used a Jabra Halo Bluetooth Headset with an IPAD or Iphone? I just recently bought this device and paired with my IPAD and iphone 3gs, and I'm very disappointed, sound quality is great, but the audio keeps skipping every once in awhile, very annoying especially if watching a video or listing to podcasts, perhaps there's a setting that I have missed? any advise would be very helpful, My firmware by the way is ios 4.2 thanks...

To be clear this is NOT an issue with Stereo Bluetooth headsets, it is a problem with the chipset in Apple's iPhone and iPad.
Prior to the iPhone 3 I had a T-Mobile Dash with stereo bluetooth and it worked beautifully. When I got the iPhone 3 the bluetooth was a disaster with skipping and dropping the connection.
I eventually went over to a Sprint EVO and the stereo bluetooth paired with my $300 Nokia noise canceling headphones was awe inspiring. I purchased an iPhone 4 and it arrived yesterday. Today I listened to those same headphones and got skipping and it even unpaired for no reason at all.
The issue with the iPhone 4 seems to be that when the screen is active there is no problem. However, when you lock the screen it starts skipping.
So, I just wanted to point out that stereo bluetooth has been broken on the iPhone for at least two generations and apparently on the iPad too which is extremely disappointing. It's not the headset mfg, its Apple.

  • How do make stereo bluetooth headset works with iMac desktop?

My bluetooth stereo headset works perfect with my iPhone4 and my iPad, but can't be discovered by my iMac.  What gives?  What do I have to do to make it work?

Do you have the headset in discovery mode?
You might want to google your headset model and maybe OS X pair. Find out of others have had problems.

  • Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair with more than one device at a time?

Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair, i.e. multipoint, with more than one device at a time?
Are the MacBook and iPhone 4 capable of multipoint bluetooth technoloagy?
The goal is for my wife to be able to watch her Korean TV soap operas on her MacBook and still receive a call on her iPhone 4 via a stereo bluetooth headset.
I was looking at the Motorola S10-HD but after further review saw that it only pairs with one device at a time.
Appreciate any and all input. My Googling has returned no results.

You can only pair one device at a time to your 8330, or any other phone for that matter.  The "pairings" are saved to the phone, you can use one or the other and you won't have to pair it again.  Once you turn your bluetooth device on and the phone is on, they will find each other again.

  • Which Stereo Bluetooth headset with remote supports for Iphone3Gs??

please anybody can tell me which is the best Stereo Bluetooth headset with remote support for Iphone3Gs??
    thanks in advance

    Hello thomulusmax,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums
As long as your device is running software version 4.2.2 or higher it supports A2DP. (You can verify this under Options >> About)
Keep in mind that not all Bluetooth headsets are A2DP enabled. As long as your headset supports A2DP and it pairs and connects with your Pearl you should be able to listen to any supported audio format.
    Cheers!

  • Want to separate Stereo bluetooth headset profile ...

    Hi;
I used to have in my windows mobile phone two profiles for my Jabra bt3030 stereo headset.
-(stereo headset profile)  to be selected if I wanna listen to music.
-(headphone profile) to be used during my working day as normal bluetooth headset to answer calls only (however all ringtons/alerts/GPS navigation sounds been forwarded to the internal phone speaker)
In my Nokia E72 ,  firmware  031.023 . I have only stereo bluetooth headset profile. which make me always put on the headset during working days to be able to listen to the calender alerts, and notifications (as they do not go to the internal speaker).
Would you please guide me how to separately use either stereo headset profile (for music) or bluetooth headphone profile (for the calls only)???
    Thanks

This problem is getting me down - Blue Jay headphones work perfectly with every other device and computer we own but cannot be found by our MB Pro (late 2011).  This same MB is very difficult to pair with 2 other Bluetooth devices - taking several attempts each time and providing poor sound quality.

  • Stereo Bluetooth headset

My plantronics pulsar 590A stereo bluetooth headset does not work properly with the iPhone. It works to answer calls but does not work to listen to music. It works with all other cell phones for music. What's the deal?

your headphones use a protocol for streaming stereo music that is not supported by the iphone I believe. I bet it gets added but right now it cant do stereo music thru bluetooth.

  • THE PERFECT Stereo Bluetooth HEADSET for my E51

My E51 is in dire need of GREAT BLUETOOTH STEREO HEADPHONES. As u may know, the OEM headset simply sucks in terms of sound quality and comfort (keeps dropping off).
Please share ur experience in using stereo bluetooth headsets that PAIR SEAMLESSLY to Nokia E51 with rating on:
    - Comfort in using (> 2 hours non stop)
    - Pairing ease & range
    - Musical sound quality (bass treble richness)
    - Conversation sound quality and clarity (inc. talk time)
    - Model (in ear, earbud etc)
    - Price (pref in USD currency)
I think this post should be kept ALIVE as referral for future users who are thinking the same as I am now

can two bluetooth headsets access the ipad at the same time, for example, to watch a movie together on an airplane trip?  does bluetooth work when the ipad is in airplane mode?

This article: http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/97903 helped to clear up confusion I had re your point
when Airplane mode is on you can turn on either or both wifi and bluetooth
It makes it clear that airplane mode turns off processes involving cellular networks, which doubtless involve rather strong transmissions, while allowing others such as wi-fi and Bluetooth.  I'm puzzled though why the iPod rather than the iPhone has the airplaine mode when it has no cellular capacity.  Perhaps it's there but doesn't actually do anything other than making it possible to conform to a request to switch into airplane mode, and display an airplane icon to satisfy flight attendants who are checkng up on you!

  • IPhone stereo bluetooth headset support?

My Sony DS970 works fine in telephone mode, but it won't work in stereo bluetooth mode. it's odd to be on a phone call working fine on the headset, then turn on the music or sounds and have that jump out of the speaker. Pretty annoying that we have to deal with a custom-sized headphone adapter AND a bluetooth transmitted that's disabled. I have a portable bluetooth transmitter, but it won't fit in the headphone jack. Wow -- I knew the Zune made some mistakes around bluetooth, but this one seems ridiculous.
Is it a possible software patch? Can the hardware support A2DP? Are there any plans to support bluetooth audio moving forward?
ANY answers would be most welcome even if the answer is "Go away we aren't going to support that until the next phone." I just wanto to know if it's broken, disabled, fixable, or what?
I prefer real answers to rampant speculation, but I'll probably get more of the latter than the former, which can be expected.

Many people believe apple left A2DP support off so as they may make the only devices to do this. So the market is only flooded with their devices. A2DP should be a software thing but dont quote me on that.
