Sorry for bad english and thanks for the answer

If the problem was not cased by operator error, then Apple will exchange it at no cost. You can do it at an Apple store or contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider
If you have reviewed those articles and still need service for your iPod, you can contact Apple or take your iPod to your local Apple Authorised Service Provider, where available.

  • Reboot/restart ipod touch with broken power button

I dont think my ipod touch is broken but it wont turn on, the power button has always been broken and it cant be repaired. Is there a program or something i can download to completelty restart my ipod, I dont care about my apps or anything. I just want it to work

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Instead of using the puttons to place the iPod in recovery mode
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:
    For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
    and
    RecBoot tip
    For MAC or PC
    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • What would apple do if my ipod touch is broken and is still under warranty?

What would apple do if my ipod touch is broken and is still under warranty?

It depends on how it was broken. Apple are very strict when it comes to enforcing warrantys so unless the damage was a result of a manufacturing error then you have little chance of having your device replaced or serviced without having to pay a fee.
    The warranty states that Apple do not cover;
damage resulting from accident - ie. accidentally dropping it
    liquid damage
    disassembly
unauthorised service - ie. trying to fix the hardware yourself
    unauthorised modifications - ie. "jailbreaking"

  • HT1384 My lock screen/power button on my iPod Touch is broken, and I need some assistance.

As the title suggests, I can not use the lock screen/power button on my iPod Touch, it is broken. I can use Adaptive Touch to turn the screen on and off at will, and also turn my device off. But if I turn it off, I don't know how to get it to turn back on. Could I just plug it into a charger and turn it back on, or would I need to plug it into my computer? Please help, in a few days I won't have access to it for 9 weeks, I need immediate help.

If you power off the iPod, it will turn back on if you connect it to a charger like a wall charger or a computer. I just checked with a charging source to confirm. I knew it did it with a computer.

  • Near new ipod touch with broken screen

I have a 2 week old  ipod touch 4 with a broken screen. Can anyone tell me if it is covered buy warranty (unlikely l know) and if not what are the costs involved in getting it fixed and are the do - it - yourself kits any good.

It's not covered by the warranty. Here are the costs for the repair by Apple: Apple - Support - iPod - Repair pricing
But you can also search the Internet for 3rd party repair, but you'll have no warranty after that by Apple anymore.

THE SCREEN OF MY IPOD IS BROKEN,WHAT DO I DO?????????

    - Do nothing
    - Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.
    Apple - iPod Repair price
    - A third-party place like the following maybe less. Google for more.

    - Replace the screen yourself if you are up to it

  • Is the iPod Touch 4g Reigon Free?

In the coming holiday I will going to Hong Kong to buy a new 32 gb iPod 4g touch because it was cheaper there. I was wondering if the iPod touch 4g was region free so that any apps and games I bought from Australia's itune can be playable on the iPod touch 4g I got from Hong Kong. And another question, will the iPod touch 4g charges properly in Australia because the electricity from Hong Kong's power point can be different from Australia.

iPod touch is universal. No region lock or anything.

  • My ipod touch is broken and if i upgrade to ipad, will my music, photos and video files be transfered over to ipad?

My ipod touch won't turn on and I have tried the reset button n home button a few times, it still won't work. So, I'm thinking of upgrading to Ipad but I do not want to lose my files from Ipod Touch. My question is, will all the files I have synced up to date be transfered over to the Ipad? My music, movies and photo files. Thanks

Follow the instructions in this procedure to the letter. Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements.
It needs some charge to get anywhere at all - that is addressed in Step 3:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode").
Use iTunes to restore the iPod.
If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
Select the iPod in iTunes and choose "restore from backup".
If this procedure doesn't work, you have done all you can and only Apple may be able to help. Have them look at it while you shop for your iPad

  • My Ipod Touch is broken how can I fix it?

My ipod touch has been messed up for a while and I have already sent it in to the apple company once and I think they gave me a new one. It worked for about 2  weeks perfectly fine well then it started to freeze and every time I stopped playing with it for only a minute it would comepletely shut down and I had to press the home button and the power button for about 15 to 20 seconds sometimes it would not turn on at all and I would have to leave it alone for a while and then try it again.I also tried completely charging it and then playing on it and I would set it down for a minute try to turn it back on and it would say that it was dead right after I charged it all night. Well anyways I was tired of it freezing and shutting down and not turning on so I thought restoring it may help well I did that and now it says that the device is damaged and can not be activated for service. Well one time I set it in my sisters purse and when I took it out it had a crack and I am thinking that maybe that is what is causing all the problems, but the problems started before It got a crack in it. So I am not for sure what it is. Is there anyway to fix this without having to pay to get a new one?  Can I send it to the apple company if I can not fix it even with the crack in it?

Apple will fix it with the crack but all repair will have to be paid for.  The crack really ends your warranty for all problems.
    Apple:
Apple - Support - iPod - Repair pricing
There are third-party places that can fix it less expensively than Apple:
