Jack on the dock is bent and now will not sync to computer

I've enjoyed my new Shuffle. However, the other day, the jack on my little iPod Shuffle dock was bent. Now, the dock refuses to recognize my iPod. Is there a way to fix this, or will my warranty cover it? I really REALLY don't want to spend $35 on a new dock for an iPod I've owned only 3 weeks. For that price I might as well have bought a Nano. Please help.

how did the jack bend? I doubt the warranty would cover it seeing that the jack bending by itself is not possible.

I have quickbooks for Mac and it syncs to my mail account with my laptop everytime I email an invoice or an estimate. Hi, when i go do add my new playlist it is saying error -50 and that the playlists are not sync'ed. Also my iPod is showing the 1.25 gd is used other formats? not sure what this is about. I have tried to restore and it will not let me - stating that another application is using it? Any advice welcomed.

This discussion form is for Mac users only. I see that you have a windows machine and therefore should go to the iTunes for Windows discussion form. But to answer one of your question about "other formats," those are files that you sync to the iPod after you enable disk useage. Those can be anything that you put on your iPod.

Whilst downloading the program it paused and now will not start again.

I'm not sure, if you're out of warrenty it'll cost quite a bit for the replacement of the logic board replacement...unless you have apple care. you could ask apple to try and recover your hard drive but i'm not sure.

Can anybody out there give me any clues as to why my apple ipod won't allow my remaining 2.5 gb of ipod space to download anymore of my cd's. I am using Itunes library which also doesn't seem to accept the cd's even though they are legitimate in every way and are not homemade.

- Unjailbroken iPod never showed % battery. Just the icon.
- Unjailbroken iPod Touches never had a disk mode.
- What happens when you try to drag a wiggling app to a empty space in the bottom? Does it move and snap back?

Yesterday my iphone was acting unusual randomly alerting me with a message saying something like the accessory you have plugged into your iphone is not compatable with this device(while my iphone was not plugged into anything at all). it had done this several times during the day untill had turned it off and then back on. For the rest of the day no alerts had popped up. Later that night my iphone ran completely out of battery dead and now will not charge or turn on, while on the charger or not. I have not updated the phone since i got it. I just tried plugging it into my computer and my computer (PC)recognized it but said that the device could not be installed. Is there anything i can do?

You most likely have dirt, moisture or a bent pin in the dock connector on the phone. Inspect it with a magnifying glass, and if it's dirt do your best to clean it thoroughly. A dry toothbrush frequently will fix it.
If that doesn't resolve the problem the phone needs to be repaired.

Also try another cable, another charging source. Further look at the dock connector in the iPod. Look for abnormalities like foreign material, bend or corroded contacts, broken or cracked plastic.

You have a heap of work to do before you can reinstall it. NEVER try to get rid of PSE by putting it in the trash. You must use the uninstaller. By attempting to trash it you just made a big old mess for yourself.
You will need to download and run this:

Then go through your hard drive and manually dig out and trash all the bits you can find. Pay special attention to the library at the top of your hard drive>Application Support>Adobe.
Once you successfully get that cleaned up, you can try reinstalling.

my ipod was fully charged and was working perfectly.
i locked it and when i tried to unlock it my touch screen wouldnt work.
i tried reseting it by pressing the home button and the power button.
it started to reboot then froze on the apple logo screen.
after waiting for twenty minutes or so i tried reseting it again while it was still on the apple logo screen,
then it turned off and now will not turn back on.
i have tried plugging it into my computer to see if it would by some miracle turn back on but i have been unsuccessful
my ipod is my life, if anyone can help me fix it i would greatly appriciate it!!!!!!!!
