Japanese in the installation box? -.-!

I bought Lion about 2 weeks ago, it was probably 2 or 3 days after its release..... I wiped the system before installing it, because I think there are always gonna be a few incompatible apps and since my macbook was running a bit slow... I figured I'd do a clean install of lion..... so I did, I must say it is running much faster than it used to, I don't really think my mac has ever been this fast..... anyway I just have one small complaint.
I'd like to know if this has happened to anyone else... when I install a new programme, not the drag-and-drop installation but a proper one where you have to double-click on the package and the system then asks you if you wanna go through with the installation... I have a tiny problem, this shows in Japanese.... whereas my os is in English.... so as this happened to anyone else? I am not talking about the password input box but the one before that... so anyone??

There have been several reports of mixed localizations in such boxes, but I haven't seen any fixes so far.  I don't know if a reinstall would make a difference or not...

Exactly where are you getting your Flash from? It is quite free from the maker, no password needed.

However, if you fell for a trap and were lured into a fake site to rob you of your Apple ID credentials, I suggest you change your passwords immediately.

  • Adobe Flash Player Installer Box Showing Up Blank?

My laptop is running Windows 7 and I'm trying to install the newest version of Adobe's Flash Player for Firefox 14.0.0.125. Everything goes fine until I get to the Adobe Flash Player Installer box, it just shows up as a blank black box. I've retried many times now and the Installer box still shows up blank. I've even waited to see if it was maybe just slow downloading but I've had the Installer window open for at least an hour now and It's still blank. Is this an issue with my laptop and if so can I get help with it or is this an issue with the Adobe website?

    Try using these installers
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

This leads me to another dialog box that says:  The file .......is not a valid installation package for the product iTunes.  Try to find the installation package iTunes64.msi in a folder from which you can install iTunes.
That doesn't work either.  What to do?

  • How can I install Adobe flash player on my Mac using Safari OR Chrome? I have gone through every step on all of the help pages. The installation process always stops with the black box that briefly says, "Retrieving Install . . . ", then nothing.

I have followed every step in the various help pages I was directed to when troubleshooting the inability to install Adobe Flash Player on my Mac using either Safari or Chrome. Everything has failed. I always get the black box that says briefly, "Retrieving instal. . . " and then goes blank. When I close that window, I get the message, "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed." Then it gives some links to follow for troubleshooting. I have followed ALL of the links there and on other help pages, to no avail. I've run into problems installing Adobe before, but it's never been this bad. Would someone please develop another format besides Adobe? Trying to get help from Adobe feels a little like trying to find a building in New York City with no map or GPS. The time required is voluminous, the emotional energy a/k/a frustration is overwhelming, and long before I get anything resolved, I wish the earth would open up and swallow all things Adobe@. Absence that miraculous intervention, I have to figure out what to do next. Does anyone know? Anyone?

This forum is for questions about Apple Remote Desktop, Apple's software for managing networked Mac systems, and hence not the best place for your question. I'd suggest asking in the iTunes for Windows forum. You'll need to include more details, including the version of Windows you have, before anyone can do more than guess as to the problem.
    Regards.

  • While installing flashplayer the installation manager box is grayed out after clicking on run. My system is Windows 7 64bit and ie 11.

I am not able to play any videos in ie 11 and I am not able to install flash player.
So far I have uninstalled prior installation of flash player.  When I visit get adobe flash player sight with ie 11 whole sight box is grayed out.  so I tried to download the flash player for ie 11 with chrome and firefox. In both cases after running .exe file downloaded and saved on pc the flashplayer installation manger comes up for permissions.  but after clicking run, it is grayed out and nothing further happens. I will appreciate any help in getting this installed.
I have other laptop with Windows 7 professional  and ie 11.  there is no problem on playing videos in ie11 in this laptop.  so why do I have problem in this pc? Only difference is here I have Windows 7 Home premium.  Java version 32 and 64 bit are installed and enabled. Silverlight is enabled and adobe shockwave player is enabled, Active x control are disabled.  software rendering box is also checked in the advanced tab of ie 11.

If it's updates through the Office auto-updater that are having problems, that's probably an issue you'll need to take up on Microsoft's support site. If you're having problems installing Office from scratch and it's saying it can't find Installer, you may need to repair your hard drive. More help will probably be obtained if you post in the Mac OS X 10.6 forum; this forum, where you originally posted, is for help with the Communities themselves.
