Japanese indication of Label and Button is strange in Android5.0.1.

A screen of attachment is Label, TextArea, Button in turn from the top.
TextArea is normally indicated, but all hiragana, katakana and kanji aren't shown to Label.
Hiragana and katakana aren't shown to Button.

Not sure if this is a right place to raise, I also found that the Spark Label is not rendering Chinese characters correctly. Attached is a screen shot for your reference.

I am using Java to create a gui and so far I have everything working.
But there is a section of code thats not working out and Ill post the whole file here (not very big) to let you guys see whats going on. In general when adding or removing components for a visible GUI you need to use:

Label and Button in VBox, how to dynamically insert something between them?

I'm probably missing something simple here, but scratching my head. If I have a VBox with a label and a button in it, is there no way to insert a new child between the other two children ? Something like a way to get at "nth child"? or "insertAtIndex" ? Most likely I am just thinking about this wrong-headedly. Thanks.

ah, so .add() takes an int which determines the position among the children in which it will be inserted? I knew I was completely missing something critically simple. Thank you.

Query en web labels and buttons

I have this requeriment,
When i see the query in format web; we have this labels or buttons: bookmark, variable screen, exceptions and conditions, etc etc.... when i put the mouse on this buttons; appear a text that says: bookmark button, variable sreen button, exceptions and conditions button, etc....
Is possible to remove this messages???
I think that is necessary to change some standar code, but im not sure; I want to know what happend or if we have a note that mention this area.

if I understand your requirement correctly, you r referring to the Tool Tips for buttons on Web.
You can turn off these in the XHTML code for the template , simply by removing the statement,
<bi:TOOLTIP value="XXXXX" />
Or in the property for the button group.

Applet label and button attributes being reset.

Using JDK 1.4 through 1.6, IE6, JBuilder 2005
I have an applet with a panel that displays the status of external devices and allows the device status to be changed. Here is a brief description.
The applet has a class that extends JPanel.
The panel has a set of JButtons that display a color representing the state of the device and text that shows the button action (Open or Close). By default, the JButtons are Green with text = "Open". These are initialized in the init() method of the class that is called only once when it is initialized.
The panel display class has one method of interest:
setDeviceStatus() - updates the color and text of the JButtons.
This is the ONLY ways these components can be changed outside the init() method of the class.
The method has a System.out.println() statement immediately before any change in text or color.
There is a simulator applet that is used to send messages via sockets to the display applet.
Here is what happens.
1) Applet and panel are initialized correctly.
2) Simulator applet sends message to update the color and text of a JButton
3) The message is recieved by the display applet and the setDeviceStatus() method is called.
4) The print statements before the setText() and setBackground() methods of the Jbuttons are called and new states printed.
5) Color and text changes on the JButton to Red and Close.
6) Cursor is moved from JButton and JButton focus is lost.
7) JButton color and text revert to initial default state of Green and Open.
There is only ONE call to the setDeviceStatus() method. This call updates the color to RED and text to CLOSE.
As soon as focus is changed, the display updates to initial values WITHOUT calling the setDeviceStatus() method.
The behavior is different in JDK 1.4 and 1.6
JDK1.4) The text and background color change back after focus is lost by either:
a) Clicking on another window.
b) Creating an expose event by hiding and redisplaying the applet
JDK1.6) The text and background color change back after the cursor is moved off of the button.

If u wish to add JLabel and JButton in the following manner

why not try using GridLayout for each of the panel in the splitpane.try setting gridLayout(0,10) assuming that u have 10 labels.Then add those to the panel which is added to the SplitPane.

Swing Labels and IE 5.0

Has anyone had any problem with IE 5.0 and using Swing Labels
and Buttons. My labels keep getting cut off using IE5.
For example : I have a JLabel with text = "Customer Name". It
looks fine in Jdeveloper. When I deploy it to IE5.0, I
get "Custom..." with the rest being cut off.
Any Ideas ?

To see what's going on in the virtual machine you can check "enable java console" in the internet options>advanced. Then you can bring up the console in the view menu (I think). See if the virtual machine throws a NoSuchMethodError. If it does, it's all microsofts fault, as usual. (IE5 uses java 1.1.4, can you believe it?!)

Hi,
Normally, to translate your entire application you would export the application using Shared Components=>Translation Services. There is documentation on how to do this:

You can also use Shared Components=>Manage Messages to translate individual items. If this is what you want, please let me know and I'll let you know what I did to achieve this.
Normally, the user would select their preferred language using a browser setting. Do you intend for them to select a language on a page?

Sorry but, i've never seen formula editor for altering position and size. If you know one please navigate me.
I guess you have updated formula editor beside "Lock size and position" - if yes its not right. There is only one editor beside 4 items and editor is actually for Suppress.
Anyways, A trick to change size a position is:
Create 4-5 copies (as many as you expect positions) of the text object. place each at different positions, right click, Format, Suppress and in formula editor for suppress write the formula: If your condition is true, Suppress=false, else true.
Position will not change but user will feel; for different conditions -position is changed

Automator: Apply Color Label and Copy to Folder

I'm trying my hand at Automator, and I need help with one of my workflows (⇪). Basically, it's a service (accessible via right-click) that will apply a color label on an image file, and then copy that image file to a corresponding folder with the same color label. My current version works fine, except for the fact that I had to create seven versions to accommodate all seven colors.
Is there any way to turn the color into a variable? I want the workflow to prompt me for a color, and then use that choice to run a search for the appropriate folder. I'd rather not hard code the color choice into separate services that all do the same thing.
Also, the service currently assumes that it will run fast enough before I can deselect the target file. I'm sure it's possible that the folder search could lag out while I select another file, and the service will ultimately copy the newly selected item, rather than the initial target. Is there a way to ensure the service acts on whatever was selected when it was first triggered?
I don't know AppleScript beyond copying-and-pasting other people's codes, so that limits my automation quite a bit. I don't know how to prompt for a label index choice and then feed the result into a find function. I also don't know how to record the file path of the selected item, and then feed that into the copy function at the end to ensure it doesn't copy the wrong file.

Typically a list of items is passed to a workflow, so you will usually (depending on what you are doing with the items) need to step through the items in that list. If there is only one destination folder with the target label, you can just search for it, otherwise you will need to specify the destination in some other way.
The following Service workflow example assumes that there is only one destination folder that has a given label color. It gets the label index of one of the input items and finds a folder with the same index at a specified base location (to limit the search range).

Jtree cutom renderer and buttons

I am trying something new in a jtree and have no idea where to start
I have written a custom renderer that is a panel
In this panel I have an Icon and some text (both labels) and 2 buttons (up and down)
The renderer looks pretty but does nothing
Is there any way I can make it so that when the up button is pressed the tree will move this node up and when the down button is pressed it moves the node down.

JTable JTrees and components that use renderers do not paste the renderer component at the desired location but only paint their picture . That means the place where u r expecting ur JPanel is occupied by its image .
Now what u need to do will be
1. Handle the mouse click on the component which has ur renders .
2. use the mouse clicks to find out the component on which the mouse was clicked
3. take appropriate action
may be i'll post u an example in short while ..

Howto disable TopLink localized labels and messages?

Hi,
my windows regional settings are configured with Portuguese (Brazilian) as language and Brazil as location (since I am a Brazilian Portuguese speaking person who lives in Brazil).
But the TopLink translations are POOR (almost stupid), it seems that the english text were translated with Google translation tool and this makes difficult to understand certain messages and labels.
I would like to know how to change this labels and texts to english language without changing my windows regional settings ?
PS.: It is better to have no translation than to have a translation that confuse you!

I'll show you here some examples that I found... I know there are others, but I don't remember how to find them:
English (type): Portuguese (Alternative)
Access Modifiers (lablel) - Acessar Modificadores (Modificadores de acesso)
Generate Methods (button) - Métodos de Geração (Gerar Métodos)
Query Timeout (label) - Consultar Timeout (Timeout de consulta)
Refreshing Cache Options (label) - Opções de Cache de Renovação (Opções de atualização de cache)
These translations are not critical but some bad error message translations are. If you look at the error messages out of its context it seems OK, but when they are shown in context the meaning of the message is different from the translated value. This confuses the user.
The other problem is that all OTN resources such as tutorials, manuals, API are written in english, so I guess that some TopLink specific terms and concepts should not be translated, e.g. Unit Of Work, API Class Names, API Method Names.
Sorry if I caused some problem to you, but that kind of translation seems to be done by an non-technical translator, the guy who translates some tool should be familiarized with all technologies related and mainly the tool itself. In the case of TopLink, the translator should know at least about Java, DBMS and TopLink API.

How to hide the label and choice component in the frames

one of the ways is to use a CardLayout
1st card has the label and list, 2nd card is a blank panel
click the button to show the 1st card, then click again for 2nd card,
then again for 1st card etc

Hi guys!
I used to work on AS2 to make my animations, buttons and portfolios, but now I needed to use AS3 to make some forms interact with some PHP script.
TextInputs and Buttons on COMPONENTS are working and interacting normally with PHP. My PreLoader is working great too. But what should the easiest is not working: MY SIMPLE BUTTONS! It used to be so easy in AS1 and 2, but now on AS3 it's not working. I am putting all my action and codes in a ACTIONS FRAME in the top of my animation, but it is not working!
I have my Preloader on my frame 1 working, calling my animation on frame 2. The code is here (it's working):

My movie pauses and no action is added to my buttons.
I get this error: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at index_Scene1_fla::MainTimeline/frame2()

The movie plays complete, but I get no actions in buttons and a error in my components textinput and button (they look like shaking).
I get this error: 1180: Call to a possibly undefined method init.
I tried to use the import flash.display.SimpleButton too, but it doesn't work too.
Anyone could help me????

If you can provide a clear explanation of where the buttons are and where the code for them is located that might help lead to a solution. From what you have described already it is not clear where the code is and where the buttons are. You should not have to use an init function if you are doing so to wait for the buttons to be loaded... they are already loaded when you get wherever they are.
For the 1009 error, it is indicative of the object targeted by your code does not exist in theframe where that code is. SO if you have your code on frame 1 and your buttons are in frame 2, that would account for that error, as well as a few other possible scenarios.

Missing all menus and buttons from Folio Builder

I had a problem with Folio Builder panel when change ID password. I re instal both plugin again( FP and FProdTool), but this did not help. After reading the forum about solving the problem >
1) Quit InDesign and any other CS apps
2) Use the Activity Monitor to quit the CS5ServiceManager or CS5.5Service Manager
3) Next delete this file based on version:
/Users/lnegi/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5ServiceManager/preference/csxs2.pref
/Users/lnegi/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5.5ServiceManager/preference/csxs2.pref
4) Then remove this item from the Keychain Access based on version:
Adobe-CS-5-renga
Adobe-CS-5.5-renga
To remove from the keychain:
Navigate to /Applications/Utilities and launch the Keychain Access.app
If the lock icon in the upper left appears locked, click on it and enter your password to unlock it.
Select the “login” item in the Keychains list in the top left.
Select “Passwords” from the category list.
Type “renga” in the search field in the top right.
Select any matches and press the delete key.

i'm disappoint ...after the second day, I can not work with my DPS.. afte trying this:
1. Uninstall Folio Builder Panel and Folio producer Tools ( Seems you might have already followed this step). Use Spotlight to serach for Uninstall Folio builder Panel and Uninstall Folio producer Tools and then uninstall repectively.
2. Uninstall Adobe Air.
3. Restart your Machine.
4. Reinstall Adobe Air from get.adobe.com/air
5. Reinstall Folio Builder Panel and Folio Producer Tools.

The Panel yesterday behaved strangely, one moment disappeared, then appeared( but with а blank window)....what am i doing wrong!? ...When I first time instal DPS, it also had problem after a older versions of DPS, but the problem eventually decided. Now I instal the last versions plugins HEEEEELPPPP!!!!
