Japanese Kanji is not printing in SMARTFORM eventhough it is showing in PP

Hi All,
I have a very peculier problem with smart form. When we are trying to print Quotation and Sales Order seperately in the SAME printer Kanji data(Material description VBAP-ARKTX) is not getting printed for Sales Order but it is printing for Quotation. This Sales Order is created with respect the same Quotation. So SO hase same materials and same descriptions. When we check print preview in both the Forms we could able to see kanji data. But when we are trying to print or even trying to download using program RSTXPDFT4 kanji description is not coming in SO but it is coming in Quotation.
only the difference we found between these smart forms is SMARTSTYLES.
For Quotation used a style with TIMES type and
For SO used a style with HELVE.
I tried to change SO style to TIMES still it didnt work..
I read in SDN reply that for style with HELVE we need to maintain font "JPMINCHO" in form.
Can anybody explain where and how to maintain this font in the form.

Hi,
If you use a non unicode device type like JPSAPWIN, you need to maintain font like JPMINCHO in the smartstyle for the paragraph and character formats that are used for the Japanese texts in the smartform. You should also use a smartform with language key JA.
If you have a Unicode system and you create the spool via unicode device type SWINCF, then the font or the form language is not important. So can you try again creating the spool via device type SWINCF and check the result?

after PO changing in ME22n there is no scond entry in messages tab and not printted.
i have maintained condition record, and i am able to create printout when i create a new PO.

Page data not printed in smartform...

I have a smartform in which I want to print some data in the last page. So after the NEXT Page, I inserted the following nodes
1. Page node - LAST. Its next page is also set as LAST. The next page of NEXT page is also set as LAST.
2. Page window. window type - main window.
3. Program lines node. Here I fetch data from some tables a create an internal table with 2 columns of data. I am not able to debug this code during runtime and so I cannot confirm
if data is being fetched here !!! How to do that ??
4. Loop node - Here I loop thr the internal table populated in the program lines and store in a structure , say ST_TEMP.
5. Under loop node I have the TEXT node where I display the data as:
&ST_TEMP-COL1& &ST_TEMP-COL2&
Now the issue is data is not printed on this page. What could be wrong ? I tried inserting a hard break point in the program lines but control did not stop there.
Is there any way I can figure out what can be wrong ?

Job pages not printing in Smartforms

Hi Guys ,
Actually Im trying to print Job pages in smartforms ..it is showing job pages below 9 that is single digit ..
But if the Job pages is double digit i.e., from 10 ..it is printing '*' ...
Can u please llet me know the solution .

I am facing problem while printing '&' symbol using READ_TEXT FM in smartforms . I have maintained header text in PO header in that text am using special characters like "&" , <5 and >5 . While displaying this data in out put it is giving junk characters like .
i have changed editor also but no use .

My hp printer and laptop are connected but it will not print...even though it shows hooked up...

HP Officejet J4500 using Windows 7 64-bit
Has printed before but it has been months....I am sure that updates have come thru during this time.
The printer and my laptop do not seem to recognize each other. My husband can print with no problem using his laptop with windows XP. Help!

It sounds like the issue is isolated to the Windows 7 system since it works on a different computer.
Try using the Print and Scan Doctor as it is designed to resolve many printing issues. The site provides some information about how to use the tool.
If it finds any errors, it will usually attempt to fix them. If it is unable to fix the error, it should give some information about the problem and how to fix it.
Let me know what happens.

Firefox 6.0.1 is not printing page footers even though they show in print preview

This was (presumably) a result of the upgrade to v. 6.0.1 installed 8/31/11. First failed 9/1/11.
Page setup still shows page count and date. (No surprise because it shows in the print preview.)
Tried with three printers: HP DeskJet 930 - no footer; Brother HL5250DN - no footer (also no bottom margin); PDFCreator 1.2.1 - footer appeared!
The last result makes it look as though the problem is somehow related to the printer or printer driver.

Excel 2013 Border Lines not printing with Windows 8

Hi. I have a problem with Excel files not printing the border lines of the cells in documents.
There are 3 laptops with Windows 8 64bit in our company now using Office 2013. Only today did they mention to me that the borders from only those Laptops are not printing. In the PrintPreview it shows them, but they dont print. From my work PC that's using
Windows 7 64bit and Office 2013 they do print.
I'fe printed the a PDF printer on thier PC's but it also prints without the borders. These files are automatically created in excel format by the software our comapany uses, every user recives he's file via email and can then print it or send it to customers.
The software does not display the title boxes correctly when using the default windows 8 theme (you cant see what you are typing, the background is black and the text aswell). To get past this we select High Contrast theme (thers no CLASSIC theme in windows
8) and then tweak the settings a bit to get it as close to classic as possible.
Now it seems like when you use high contrast as a theme Excel does not print broders, I came across this on the internet whit other people also having this problem. Thers no solution that I found that I can implement on those three laptops. I cant change
the theme back if they wont be able to read what they type, and I dont know how to get the borders to print in every excel file they get in the future without having them to go through a whole process of changing settings everytime they need to print.

If you use Excel program to create a file, then print it, Does this issue still persist?
Also what happens if you change the borders style within Excel? for example, change the border line to thick.

Header Area of Table is not printing on Next Page in SMARTFORM

Hi All,
I am facing one problem while Developing a smartform for Delivery.
I want the same data to be copied to the Next page which is coming on first page. I copied the Main window to Next page with all the details but the Header of the Table is not printing on the Next(Second) page.
Please help me out regarding this...

If you are talking about the table (which you created in the main window) and you want the header of the table to be printed on the next page. Is it because of overflowing that's why its printed to the next page?
If yes, the header cannot be printout out.
Just for your information. If you want a window in the first page to be copied to all subsequence pages, set the window type to be copies window.

Smartforms main window is not printing

Hi,
I would like to ask what to do with this problem.
The smartform main window is not printing in all the pages. All the other windows, even the window with the total data is printing. The only problem is the contents of the main window is not printing.
Also, the problem only happens when the I've changed printer.
When I use LOCL as printer, the smartform is OK but when I change the printer, the problem is encountered.
This also happens when I change environment from development server to production server. In production server, even the LOCL printer is encountering the problem.

Hi Mike,
Have you checked the device type in transaction SPAD? Try to click on Full Admininstration from application toolbar and select device types.

Smartform - text not printed bold

Hey guys, hope anyone can shed some light on this.
We have invoices with a smartstyle attached, using font Verdana.
Some texts are marked as bold in the smartforms.
Now, my problem:
When printing from any environment (DEV, PRD) using one of the printers configured in SAP, text marked as bold is not printed in bold.
When printing the same invoice using LOCL, and sending it to the exact same printer from windows, text marked as bold is printed in bold.
So I guess it's not the form, it's not the style, it's not even the printer: just the printer settings in SAP.
In many ways, it is very similar to the issue addressed in this thread:
[Printer Setting|Printer Setting] , except that when previewing the text doesn't show as bold.
My question is two-fold:
- How likely is it that this issue is related to the printer configuration (and thus, basis config)?
- If yes to the above, how do I verify this? I need something solid, since the SAP basis guys aren't very cooperative and keep pointing out that it's either the smartform or the smartstyle - without researching themselves

I think its the issue of the basis people,they need to make the settings. We had a similar problem here,we had to change the printer settings in SPAD,affter the basis peole had made the settings for us, for taking printout in hindi.

Smartform Printing - TableLine Border not printing

Dear All,
           I tried smartform for PO printing. Once I completed all the code and configured for my dot matrix printer ie., Epson 9 Pin,
When I take printout, the tableline borders are not printed. I tried with framed pattern also.
Kindly provide a solution for this issue.
Note: When I used PDF printer for PDF conversion, everything was fine with PDF format.

Hi,
     while printing with dot matrix the lines of template and tables ,some times will not printed because the dot matrix printer will   not capture the lines with low width so you just increase width of line to 20 TW and then there will be pattren in tables tab select upper frame and lower frame for line which is not printing . this will solve your issue

Smartform is not printing in portal

Hi Experts,
I have developed one smartform. As soon as user execute one transaction, I am sending the samrtform to default printer without any print preveiw.
This is working fine in SAP.
The same transaction we are calling in portal. when user click on execute button in web prortal, document is not sending to printer. i mean no document is printed and SY-SUBRC showing other than zero of the smartform function module.
Pls help me.
Anything I need to do in portal...?

Firt of all ... it is failing the function module. Because I am getting message as Failed. I check in SAP. It is working fine. I mean .. it is printing in SA. But not printing through portal.
I have written the code like...
After calling FM (Smartform FM)...
IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
MESSAGE XXX 'Success'.
ELSE.
MESSAGE XXX 'Failed'.
ENDIF.
Pls suggest me... Any OSS note we need to implement?

Smartforms lines not printed

Hi,
    I am using 4.6c.I have designed a smartform using templates.I have choosed the frames patterns in templates.In print preview everthing is perfect,but when i try to print this,Its showing only the texts.The lines were not printed.Its a complex format,So i used templates to do that.
Actually we dont know whether this an ABAPER problem or basis problem.
Cany anyone help me with step by step procedure what to do this.Because this is urgent.I have taken a copy in laser printer,Dot Matrix printer too.
But in no printers the lines are coming

     i also faced the same problem.
     i think basic problem..
anyway i will say how i managed,
1. just create window (width of the window should be .04)
      in output option of window -->in preview select the one sided line(right or left).
2.create a text in that window with simple dot(.) in text editor (window will not appear without any content in it so to provide some text we have provided dot(.) ).
3. place the window where u want line.
