Japanese menus to English ones?

Help. I want to change the menus so that they display in English, not Japanese. Is there a way to do this?
Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro ver 9.2.0 is installed on my PC, but all the menus are in Japanese. Some help as to where this setting is located would be much appreciated - I have some ability to read the Japanese, but it can be challenging to find the right menu and settings.

Ctrl+K will open preferences. One of them is for setting language, not sure what you will see, but there is a pulldown for language.

I am trying to install an Japanese DB on English OS by setting 'NLS_LANG =JAPANESE_JAPAN.JA16EUC'. After creating the DB when I check the DB NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETER still it shows as AMERICAN_AMERICA.JA16SJIS. Can anybody help me out?

by setting 'NLS_LANG =JAPANESE_JAPAN.JA16EUC'. AfterThis is a client side setting (even if you are using it on a database host). Details to be found in the NLS_LANG FAQ and a relevant section in your case might be the one about priority of nls parameters.

To find out the character sets of a database, try

Changing the menus to English in Lightroom

I've just subscribed to Creative Cloud. So far I've only looked at Lightroom. It has defaulted to Japanese menus (my computer's operating system) even though I downloaded English and selected English whenever possible. How do I change the menus to English? And I suppose this will be the same for other applications too? Thanks.

Thanks. I eventually found that in the Edit menu. It wasn't obvious because it was all in Japanese.
So Lightroom is up and working great now. Thank you.
But the 2 other applications I have tried so far, Dreamweaver and Indesign, do not seem to have a language option in the preferences menu. I'll also be using Photoshop. So can you tell me how to change the menus to English for these too please? Thanks.

The charger is international - you just need the correct prong adapter. Should be able to get one in any DIY shop.

Photoshop CC 2014 has 32 and 64 bit versions. If your Windows is 64 bit, you can download that one.
In order to download, you must first follow the instructions they give you very carefully in order to set the proper permissions.
It might be wise to uninstall CC 2014 if only to make sure. Check "remove preferences" as well.

Sure - if you can find a shop that will do it for you. If you want to DIY, you may be able to order a keyboard replacement from ifixit.com or powerbookmedic.com.

Technically correct (the best kind of correct)
Now if the Op has and retains a UK account with billing address and UK paymant card - He/She can continue to use the UK store in Germany - Apple does NOT use IP address blocking just a valid paymant card attached to a postcode !
Basically the first four of your paymant card are country codes.
What the op needs to do if he/she now has a Germany address and payment method (could just be German € value gift cards) is to open a separate German iTunes Account !
On a PC/Mac its very easy to change stores, however iOS has it a bit more difficult.
In fact i would recommend the Op sets up a new German account and credentials on a PC/Mac first.
And doing so just means opening the store in iTunes scrolling to the bottom of the screen and clicking on the littler circular flag in the bottom right.
After that the browser window is populated with loads of similar disc flags. Clicking any take you to that regional store where provided you have a valid address (Postcode/Zipcode actually) and payment method local credit/debit some prepayment VISA cards or just a gift card you can create a local account.
Oh and because Apple do NOT use IP addressing you don't actually have to be present in the country of that store. Its against to terms of the EULA but it works !
Back to the iOS device
Tap Settings/iTunes & App Store /Apple ID (that will probably be showing the UK account set up).
In the window that opens tap log out
Now change the ID to the new German name and password and in the next window make sure the flag selected is that of Germany (when in Germany)
When buying from the UK store follow that path again log out of the German account and re-log in using the UK ID
As it happens I have a UK Portuguese and US account all active because I have residences in all three - and can visit any of the stores from anywhere.

Adobe is moving from the purchase of a license for their software to the renting of it. I'm old school so I'd prefer a perpetual license. But you already have a subscription to Illustrator so I guess it'd be advisable to look into whether expanding the subscription to include other software will save you some money. Also I remember something about Adobe adding features to its Cloud version which aren't also added to the licensed version and a different way of handling updates and upgrades. Indeed, Adobe states that CS 6 has reached the end of the road. So if you're going to stay with Adobe, you may very well be stuck.
I'd suggest spending some time in the Adobe Communities. You'll likely find people complaining about choices they've made that you'll have to make too. Let them be the beta testers.

There were apple updates with IOS7.1. After the updates, the Apps store and the iTunes updated in japanese instead of English. I have tried apple support and went through the steps one by one to change to English and it did not work. Help!

Is there anyone that has a problem with changing the Apps and iTunes language back to English after the IOS 7.1 updates on their iPhone? Ihave contacted Apple support and followed the step by step instructions and it did not change it to English. The original language is English. I reset all settings and turned the phone off and it still did not change the language in the software eventhough the settings for language is set in English. When I went on line support.apple.com, in the iTunes section it states that the software iTunes 11.1.7, I think changes the language in the Apps whenever there are updates in the IOS 7.1. Is there anyone that can help me.

Content bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
All you need to do is delete those apps belonging to your wife.
Check Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: > your own Apple ID here. If not, sign out here and sign in yours.

Please peform the following steps in order change the User Interface of Photoshop CS6(Japanese or any other language) to English.
Windows:
Navigate to the directory C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Locales\<languageSet>\Support Files
Look for the file named "tw10418.dat"
Rename the file extension to .back from .dat(please make sure Photoshop is closed
Restart Photoshop.
You need to follow the same procedure for C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Locales\<languageSet>\Support Files
Mac:
Navigate to the directory /Applications/Photoshop CS6/Locales/<languageSet>/Support Files
Look for the file named "tw10418.dat"
Rename the file extension to .back from .dat(please make sure Photoshop is closed
Restart Photoshop
Note: Here <languageSet> is ccorespond to your current language.
