Java 1.4.0 and Linux Mozilla 0.9.8 Plugin Install not working
I've got the 1.4.0 rpms successfully installed on my Redhat 7.2 system. I tried to add the plugin to Mozilla as I always have in prior java versions (but following the newest plugin instructions for 1.4.0), and I can't get the plugin to work. Anyone else having this problem?
I tried the "regxpcom" and it gave the following error.
Registration failed: (80040154) /usr/java/j2re1.4.0/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji140.so
/opt/netscape/regxpcom: relocation error: /opt/netscape/regxpcom: undefined symbol: NS_ShutdownXPCOM__FP17nsIServiceManager
Has this shown up anywhere else?

I would start your troubleshooting with the article below for issues of not being able to log in to your Mac. Start with booting up in to Safe Boot as well as resetting PRAM on your Mac. If that does not work, then verify the hard drive with booting to the Recover HD and go to Disk Utility to verify it.

Also, when I try and browse songs, everything is blankIt's been a while but it should work on a Mac because Macs can read Windows formatted devices. Otherwise, you can perform a restore operation to return it to the Mac format. If you go to support.apple.com/manuals/ you can find a copy of the user manual for the model you have in which this is all explained.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
-When it says place the iPod in recovery mode use this program instead of the buttons.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Add-ons contain a range of compatible Firefox versions, and Firefox honors the listed range by disabling the add-on if you are trying to run it on an unlisted version.
I'm sure Yahoo! will update its toolbar eventually, but not every add-on maker supports beta versions of software. -

You may have installed one of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.

every time I go to a new site a bar is lowered and ask to update my plugin. I am using mac 10.4.11 G4 The new plugin will not work. How do I shut off the plugin update so I don't get this anoying bar ever time I go to a new web page. If there is no way to shut it off, I'll trash Firefox and go back to Safari. This just started and I'm tired of it.
to turn off the messages about outdated plugins, enter "about:config" into the address bar of the browser, confirm the info dialog, then search for the preference named "plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugin" & double-click it in order to toggle it to "true".
please also note that firefox 3.6.28 was the last build that ran on a powerpc, however if you want to use an up-to-date browser based on firefox you can switch to "tenfourfox" - the downside is it doesn't support plugins at all

When icloud drive is on on in ios8 and 8.0.2 the keyboard shortcuts do not work.

I have a similar problem: when updating to iOS 8 my iPhone 5 the shortcuts disappeared and more over the keyboard often gets stuck. When repeatedly turning off iCloud drive the shortcuts are present again and the keyboard works as it should. A factory reset of my iPhone was not successful.
The only "workaround" seems to turn off iCloud drive, however, this is of course no solution at all.
Since reports on keyboard malfunctions are rather rare in this community, I think, you and I are using some special settings or apps which cause this problem. -
